ONE MORNING ON THE WAY TO WORK AS I APPLIED THE BRAKES APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT, MY BRAKE PEDAL SUDDENLY WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THE BRAKES DID NOT STOP THE CAR BUT SINCE THE ROAD WAS ON AN INCLINE I WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY ROLL TO A STOP PARTIALLY INTO THE INTERSECTION. I DROVE VERY SLOW TO WORK, KEEPING SEVERAL CAR LENGTHS DISTANCE BECAUSE EVEN AFTER PUMPING THE BRAKES, THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE BRAKES WERE BETTER BUT STILL VERY SPONGY. DROVE THE CAR FOR A FEW WEEKS BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO THE MECHANIC. SOME DAYS I ONLY HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKE HALFWAY AND OTHERS I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKE ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THE CAR HAS BEEN AT THE MECHANIC FOR THREE WEEKS NOW. CHANGED MASTER CYLINDER TWICE, NOW LOOKING AT AN ABS MODULE OR HYDRAULICS ASSEMBLY. THE BRAKES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SPONGY AND HAD TO BE PRESSED AT LEAST HALFWAY IN ORDER TO STOP. THIS IS MY SECOND (AND WILL BE THE LAST) FORD FUSION WITH BRAKE ISSUES. THE FIRST CAR WAS TOTALED WHEN THE ABS FAILED TO WORK CAUSING ME TO RUN INTO THE BACK OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE BRAKES WERE ALWAYS SPONGY ON THE FIRST CAR AS WELL. ANOTHER NOTE TO ADD: WHEN IT RAINS THE BRAKES ARE VERY UNPREDICTABLE. ONE STOP CAN BE HIGHLY SENSITIVE AND THE NEXT BARELY ANY BRAKES AT ALL.
LOST OF POWER STEERING WILL TURNING. CURRENTLY NO POWER STEERING ON CAR WITH "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT" AND "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC" LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. PREVIOUSLY WAS ABLE TO GET POWER STEERING BACK BY TURNING CAR OFF/ON, NOW THAT DOES NOT WORK.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT POPS UP WHEN CAR STARTS AND STEERING WHEEL DOES NOT MOVE
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE SHOWS WHEN I START THE CAR AND THEN THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT. IF I TURN CAR OFF AND BACK ON, IT GOES AWAY AND POWER STEERING WORKS. BUT THEN ONCE I TURN CAR OFF AND BACK ON IT WILL APPEAR AGAIN. IT HAS BEEN GOING ON AND OFF LIKE THIS FOR A FEW MONTHS. IT ONLY HAPPENED EVERY SO OFTEN BUT NOW RECENTLY ITS HAPPENING EVERY DAY.
AIRBAG SIGNAL LIGHT ON, NOW OFF, BUT HEAR NOISE SOMETIME I BOUGHT THIS CAR LAST OCTOBER, 2 RECALLS ARE INCOMPLETE.
TAKATA RECALL: STILL WAITING 2 YEARS LATER FOR AIRBAG TO BE REPLACED. ALL THE WHILE NOONE IS SUPPOSED TO RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT? FORD SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE AND THEY SHOULD BE REIMBURSING US FOR TIME AND INCONVENIENCE. FORD NEEDS TO BE PUSHED INTO TAKING ACTION AGAINST TAKATA AND HOPEFULLY REACH A SETTLEMENT OFFER FOR CUSTOMERS.
TAKATA RECALL- FORD DOES NOT HAVE A REMEDY AVAILABLE FOR MY VEHICLE. THEY SENT ME A LETTER STATING TO NOT HAVE ANYONE SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT DUE TO POSSIBLE INJURY OR DEATH. WHEN CONTACTING FORD CUSTOMER CARE THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A RENTAL UNTIL A REMEDY IS AVAILABLE AND REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILTY IF SOMETHING SHOULD HAPPEN TO A PASSENGER IN MY VEHICLE.
MY CAR WAS STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT WITH A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AS I NEEDED TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE. THE CAR WAS ON LEVEL GROUND SO IT WOULD NOT ROLL FORWARD OR BACKWARD. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND SHIFTED BACK INTO DRIVE. THE CAR ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. I JAMMED ON THE BRAKES, BUT THE ENGINE WAS RACING AND I COULDN'T STOP MY CAR FROM HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I HAPPENED TO GLANCE AT THE TACHOMETER DURING THE INCIDENT AND SAW THE NEEDLE DROPPING BELOW 4,000 RPM. THE ENGINE RETURNED TO NORMAL RPMS AFTER THE COLLISION. NO ONE WAS INJURED AND THE DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES WAS MINOR. BOTH VEHICLES WERE ABLE TO LEAVE THE SCENE UNDER THEIR OWN POWER.
AFTER ABS ACTIVATION BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR WITH GREATLY REDUCED BRAKING EFFECTIVENESS. NO ABS FAULT LIGHT. RECALL ON EARLIER MODEL YEARS.
ABS ACTIVATED WHILE IN MOTION ON ICY PATCH. BRAKE PEDDLE WENT TO FLOOR WITH NO PRESSURE AFTERWARDS AND USED EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP. NEXT FEW TRIPS WORKED FINE. THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN WHERE ABS ACTIVATED IN MOTION ON BUMP AND LOST PRESSURE. NOW BRAKES ARE ALWAYS SLOW TO ENGAGE AND PEDDLE GOES ALMOST TO FLOOR BEFORE STOPPING. VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE.
VEHICLE STARTED LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID FROM THE SEAL MECHANIC SAID IT IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR FORD FUSION AND THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL
"TAKATA RECALL", 2-1/2 YEARS AGO RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE; RECEIVED 2 MORE SINCE YET FORD NOT ABLE TO INSTALL REPAIR YET. FORD SAYS "DON'T RIDE IN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT". HOW LONG IS MY FAMILY TO BE KEPT OUT OF CAR. BE REALISTIC. FORD NEEDS TO MAKE REPAIR NOW NOW NOW! WHAT KIND OF OVERSIGHT ARE YOU MAINTAINING? 2-1/2 YEARS !!!!
I WAS BACKING UP IN MY 2011 FORD FUSION AND THAT ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING WENT OUT THANK GOD I WAS NOT ON THE FREEWAY OR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HORRIBLE
MY CAR HAS BEEN UNDER A SAFETY RECALL FOR 2 YEARS AND THE FRONT SEAT IS UNUSABLE. FORD HAS NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL FIX THIS. WHAT DO I DO? DRIVE AROUND IN A DANGEROUS CAR? DO YOU FORCE FORD AT SOME POINT TO BUY THE CARS BACK OR GIVE US MONEY TO COMPENSATE - I AM AT A LOSS AS TO WHAT I AM SUPPOSED TO DO AND WHAT NHTSA DOES IN THIS CASE. FORD ESSENTIALLY IS DOING NOTHING.
MY POWER STEER WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING WHICH CAUSED ME TO RUN OFF ROAD WITHOUT INJURY BUT HAD ONE FLAT TIRE. VEHICLE REQUIRED TOWING. MANUAL STEERING IS TO HARD TO MAKE VEHICLE DRIVABLE. LIGHT ON INDICATING "SERVICE POWER STEERING". FORD DEALERSHIP, FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND NHTSA STATES MY 2011 FORD FUSION VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE 15S18 RECALL. I ATTEMPTED TO CALL FORD CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS IN HOPES TO GET THEM TO HONOR RECALL FOR MY VIN BUT THEY WILL NOT ANSWER PHONE TIMES 2 CALLS AT 313-322-3000, ON HOLD FOR 13 MINUTES AND 36 MINUTES. I AM GATHERING DATA TO FILE A SMALL CLAIM COURT. I NEED THE A COPY OF THE OFFICIAL NHTSA REPORT CONCERNING 15V340000. I SPOKE TO APRIL ON 12/25/17 FOR NHTSA WHO INFORMED ME THAT THE "MANUFACTURES" DECIDE WHICH VIN ARE INCLUDED IN RECALL. ALSO I SPOKE TO BRIANCE FROM FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO OBTAIN INFORMATION NEEDED TO FILE COURT CLAIM: NAME OF CEO, STREET ADDRESS, AND PHONE NUMBER OF FORD HEADQUARTERS. I WAS DENIED INFORMATION AND TOLD, "WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE THAT". PLEASE ASSIST.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE POWER STEERING SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING ABILITY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FRAMINGHAM FORD IN FRAMINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING ASSIST MODULE WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OVER THE 2,000 MILE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE AFFECTED PART. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY POWER STEERING WOULD GO OUT RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING. THIS MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN AND DRIVE SAFELY. MY WEEKLY AND NORMAL DRIVING NEEDS REQUIRED, HIGHWAY, STREETS, AND INTERSTATES. MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CURRENT RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE ( SAME VEHICLE MODEL AND YEAR) BUT I AM HAVING THE SAME THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM.

REMEDY OWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL AND INSTRUCTED TO TAKE THEIR VEHICLE TO A FORD OR LINCOLN DEALER TO HAVE THEIR PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR REPLACED. THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE. WHILE DRIVING, BRAKE CALIPER WILL FREEZE UP AND GRIND ON BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS, AND PRODUCE SMOKE. NEW BRAKES AND PADS WERE PUT ON 5 MONTHS AGO, AS WELL AS ROTORS TURNED. THE LEFT REAR CALIPER COMPLETELY FROZE. HAD CALIPER REPLACED SEVERAL WEEK AGO AND THE SAME SIDE FROZE AGAIN. THIS SEEMS TO BE A RISING ISSUE WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED.
TAKATA RECALL - FORD HAS YET TO PROVIDE A REMEDY FOR A PROBLEM THAT HAS EXISTED FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS NOW. LAST UPDATE WAS IN DECEMBER 2017, SAYING PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN SPRING OF 2018 - IT IS NOW SUMMER OF 2018.
POWER STEERING RECALL: POWER STEERING FAILED TO WORK WHILE DRIVING AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO A FORD SHOP AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE ELECTRONIC STEERING RACK WAS FAULTY. THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE THAT FORD RECALLED OTHER 2011 FORD FUSIONS FOR BUT FOR SOME REASON THIS VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION IN JULY OF 2016. THE DEALER (MAC HAIK FORD, 10333 KATY FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77024) STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. IN ADDITION, THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD BE CALLED WHEN THE PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPEREINCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL - I'VE HAD NO ISSUES SO FAR BUT WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG TO FIX THIS ISSUE??? IT'S BEEN A YEAR AND A HALF SINCE THE RECALL AND IT STILL SAYS "PARTS NOT AVAILABLE" TO FIX MY CAR. THIS AFFECTS MY RESELL VALUE AND IS DANGEROUS IF I WERE TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT! I WANT THIS FIXED.
TAKATA RECALL AFTER BEING NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL ON MY VEHICLE IN JULY 2016, I AM STILL AWAITING A REPAIR ON THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT NO FIX IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, NOW 18 MONTHS LATER.
TAKATA RECALL & STEERING FAILURE I HAVE A 2011 FORD FUSION ON WHICH THE STEERING SUDDENLY FAILED, WITHOUT ANY WARNING, WHILE DRIVING. WHILE FORD HAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR SOME LATER MODELS, THEY ARE NOT COVERING ALL VIECHLES WITH THE SAME PART. I AM CONTACTING YOU TO RAISE AWARENESS THAT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS AND IS STILL IMPACTING PEOPLE. I HAVE OWNED MANY CARS THAT ARE MUCH OLDER AND HAVE NEVER HAD A COMPLETE STEERING LOSS. I ALSO WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR RESOLUTION OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL. THE RECALL WAS ISSUED BY FORD IN JULY OF 2016. WE HAVE CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH THE PROMISE BY FORD THAT THE CAR IS SAFE, HOWEVER, AS I CONTINUE TO READ ABOUT INCIDENTS ONLINE, REALIZE THAT MAY NOT BE THE CASE. AFTER ALL, IF IT WERE SAFE THERE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN A RECALL. MY WIFE HAS GOTTEN TO THE POINT WHERE SHE DOESN'T WANT TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR CONCERNS FOR HER SAFETY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE OVER 20 MPH WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHCICLE. THERE WERE THREE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO GERMAIN FORD OF BEAVERCREEK (2356 HELLER DR, BEAVERCREEK, OH 45434 (937) 429-1300), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED BECAUSE IT WAS UNDER INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, BUT COULD NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.

TAKATA RECALL. THE LATEST LETTER FROM FORD DATED 12/2017 STATED THAT THERE WAS STILL NO PARTS AVAILABLE AND "DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN THE FIRST ROW PASSENGER SEAT". HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?!? - OVER 6 MONTHS SINCE THE RECALL AND STILL NO PARTS TO FIX IT.
TAKATA INFLATORS. GOT A NOTICE FOR A RECALL ON AIRBAGS FOR MY CAR. THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY TO FIX IT AND THEY SAID NOT TO HAVE ANYONE IN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DRIVE MY CAR WITH NO FRONT PASSENGERS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP OR THEY CAN MAKE MY CAR PAYMENT OR GET ME A NEW CAR THAT I CAN DRIVE WITH MY FAMILY IN.

SINCE PREVIOUS NOTIFICATION, FROM FORD CORPORATION, OF A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG, I'VE BEEN TO METRO MOTORS DEALERSHIP, ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION, AND I WAS TOLD METRO MOTORS HASN'T RECEIVE ANY PARTS IN ORDER TO REPAIR OUR 2011 FORD FUSION (SPORT MODEL) DEFECTIVE PASSENGER (RIGHT SIDE) AIRBAG.

ALLEN VIGIL FORD OF FAYETTEVILLE INC. (275 GLYNN ST N, FAYETTEVILLE, GA) DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000(STEERING). NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 136,000.
TAKATA RECALL ON PASSENGER AIR BAG . [XXX]. I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR WITHOUT KNOWING THIS WAS ISSUE FORD COMPANY ADVISED THAT THEY CAN NOT FIX THE RECALL THAT I HAVE TO NOTIFY YOUR COMPANY TO FIX OR REPLACE THE AIR BAG . THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BEFORE A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT IS CAUSED BY THIS ISSUE . THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND COMPUTER SAYS THAT ITS THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS FATALITY. WHEN I START MY CAR I GET A POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE AND A SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC MESSAGE. I CAN NOT TURN MY STEERING WHEEL AND MY CAR ACTS AS IF IT WON'T DO ANYTHING. I CAN TURN MY CAR OFF, WAIT, THEN START AGAIN AND IT IS FINE. MY PASSENGER SEAT BELT ALSO WILL RANDOMLY NOT CLICK INTO THE BUCKLE OR COME UNLOCKED. NOW THIS IS AFTER FORD SUPPOSEDLY FIXED ANOTHER RECALL CAUSING MY CAR TO DROP TO A LOW SPEED OUT OF NOWHERE.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER AND THE SERVICE POWER STEERING AND ADVANCETRAC WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING RACK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

THE CONTACT TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS DIFFICULT AND FORCED TO TURN. THE CONTACT CALLED BOB MAXEY FORD AT 313-392-9200 AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPAIRED PER THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE RECALL WAS EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPAIRED DUE TO THE EXCESSIVE MILEAGE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALTERING HER THAT THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY , I HEARD SOME BELL NOISE COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD AND GLANCED DOWN TO SEE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT". I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WAS NO LONGER "POWER STEERING". I SLOWED DOWN AND PUT MY FLASHERS ON AND SLOWLY DROVE HOME. WHILE AT HOME, I RESEARCHED AND FOUND THAT FORD HAD A RECALL BACK IN 2015 (15S18) FOR THIS SAME YEAR CAR FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. FOR SOME REASON, MY VIN WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED AT THE SAME FACILITY AND WITHIN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING RECALL DATE.
I HAD TWO INCIDENTS WITH POWER STEERING . BOTH TIMES, AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED UP AND THERE WAS MESSAGE ON THE SCREEN THAT STATED ASSUALT ON POWER STEERING. AFTER RESTARTING THE CAR THE STEERING WHEEL WORKED AND THE MESSAGE ON THE SCREEN DISAPPEARED. BOTH TIMES THE CAR WAS PARKED IN PARKING LOT.
ON AROUND 11/10/17 STEERING BECAME TO HEARD TO CONTROL WHILE DRIVING. TOOK IT TO DEALER AND THEY PERFORMED A RECALL. THEY REPLACED STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY. ABOUT 4 MONTHS AFTER THAT SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AT AROUND 3,000 MILES. TOOK IT BACK ON 7/09/18 TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PART THEY REPLACED SHORTED OUT AND THAT BECAUSE IT WAS TOO LONG FROM THE TIME THEY REPLACED IT, THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, INSTEAD THEY WANTED FOR ME TO PAY CLOSE TO $4,000 FOR REPAIRS. MY CAR STOOD PARKED FOR 4 MONTHS BEFORE I TOOK IT BECAUSE I COULDN'T DRIVE IT AND DID NOT HAVE MONEY FOR A TOW TRUCK TO TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW A RECALLED PART THAT WAS FIXED ONLY LASTED 3,000 AND HAS NO WARRANTY.
BOTH FRONT SPRINGS BROKEN AT 121,000 MILES -- APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM INDICATED ON AUTOMOTIVE BLOGS AND BY FORD CUSTOMERS. DEALER QUOTED $840 TO FIX. BLAMED CLEVELAND SALTY WINTERS ON PROBLEM
TAKATA RECALL - A RECALL NOTICE WAS ISSUED BACK IN 2016. THE FORD MOTOR CO PRESENTLY HAS STILL BEEN UNABLE PROVIDE A REMEDY FOR THIS RECALL
ERROR CODE(S) P1450, P0456, FORD FUSION SE 2011, 3.0L V6 (4 VALVE). MY CAR WAS GETTING THE ERROR CODE P1450 (UNABLE TO BLEED UP FUEL TANK VACUME) THAT WOULD TURN ON THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT (MIL) THIS WOULD HAPPEN AFTER THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN STARTED FOR A SHORT TIME.. THIS WENT ON FOR A SHORT TIME, I FOUND THAT BY USING THE GAS FUNNEL SUPPLIED WITH THE CAR THE VACUME COULD BE RELIEVED AND ALL WAS GOOD FOR A FEW DAYS. AFTER ABOUT 3 OR 4 TIMES IT STOPED COMING UP. NOW ,1 YEAR AND A FEW DAYS TO THE DATE, IT'S BACK AND I'M GETTING THE ERROR CODE P0456 (EVAP EMISSIONS CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK VERY SMALL) WITH IT.IT MEANS, IN MY CASE, THAT THE EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS CANISTER PERGE VALVE (CPV) HAS A SMALL LEAK THAT IS CAUSING A VACUME TO DEVELOP IN THE FUEL TANK. IF THIS HAPPENS ENOUGH TIMES IT CAN CAUSE THE FUEL TANK TO DEVELOP A CRACK, THIS HASN'T HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE THAT I'M AWARE OF YET (I'LL BE CHECKING ON THAT WHILE I CHANGE THE CPV),. AND WE ALL KNOW THAT A LEAKING GASOLINE TANK ISN'T A GOOD THING IN A LOT OF WAYS.
WAS TOLD OVER A YEAR AGO THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAIALBE AND EACH TIME I BRING IT IN FOR SERVICE I ASK ABOUT THE AIR BAG RECALL AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME NOT AVAIABLE
