WHEN DRIVING, MY CAR SUDDENLY LOST POWER STEERING AND A LIGHT ON MY MESSAGE CENTER SAID POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. THE STEERING WAS BASICALLY LOCKED UP. I HAD TO STOP THE CAR AND TURN IT OFF. WHEN I RESTARTED THE CAR FUNCTIONED NORMALLY.
TAKATA RECALL, NONE OF THE FORD DEALERS HAVE THESE AIR BAGS IN STOCK TO CHANGE IT OUT. IF YOU KNOW THIS RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED SINCE JUN 2016 AND YOU STILL HAVE NOT PROVIDED CUSTOMERS WITH A REMEMDY THAT VERY WELL COULD RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS BODILY INJURY THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS WE PURCHASE THESE VEHICLE IN GOOD FAITH IN KNOWING IF SUCH THINGS HAPPEN THEY WOULD AND WILL BE RECTIFIED IN A TIMELY FASHION.
POWER STEERING FAILED. THERE WAS A RECALL CONCERNING THIS AND APPARENTLY ON MY CAR A MODULE WAS REPROGRAMMED. WELL IT FAILED AGAIN. I PURCHASED THIS CAR USED AND IT WAS JUST OVER THE ALLOWABLE MILEAGE TO REPLACE THE STEERING GEAR FOR FREE THROUGH FORD. THE GEAR PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED TO BEGIN WITH, BUT NOW I'M STUCK WITH A $1600 REPAIR BILL THAT FORD SHOULD HAVE FIXED TO BEGIN WITH. RECALL # 15N01.
I RECEIVED A RECALL IN JUNE OF 2016 ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH AIRBAG. I STILL HAVE TO BE NOTIFIED TO REPAIR IT.
WHEN I STARTED THE CAR AFTER CHURCH, THE POWER STEERING MODULE LIGHT CAME ON. THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. THE CAR HAD TO BE TOWED. IT COST OVER $1600.00 TO BE FIXED. WHEN I ASKED FOR THE OLD PART, I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY ABOUT $200.00 FOR IT. DIDN'T I PAY FOR THIS WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR?. SOME FUSIONS FROM THE YEAR 2011 ARE COVERED UNDER A RECALL BUT NOT MINE, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN THE SAME MEXICAN PLANT. FORD SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF ITS CUSTOMERS AND BE WILLING TO HAVE A RECALL ON ALL OF THEM OR AT LEAST PAY FOR THE CARS THAT HAVE THAT PROBLEM WHICH REQUIRED THE REPLACEMENT OF THAT PART. I AM VERY LUCKY THAT I WAS NOT DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING.

TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A LEGAL NOTICE REGARDING SUBSIDIARIES OF TAKATA CORPORATION FILING CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY CASES IN THE U.S. I CHECKED THE RECALL STATUS OF MY VEHICLE. THERE IS AN ACTIVE RECALL ON MY VEHICLE REGARDING THE AIR BAGS, BUT A REMEDY IS NOT AVAILABLE. I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT AS THE MANUFACTURER HAS FAILED OR IS UNABLE TO REMEDY THIS SAFETY RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE IN A TIMELY MANNER.

I RECENTLY RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THAT FORD IS STILL TRYING TO FIND REPLACEMENTS AND THEY WILL NOTIFY ME WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I HAVE A BUSY AND LONG COMMUTE TO AND FROM WORK SO THIS RECALL MAY POSE A PROBLEM SHOULD AN UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCE HAPPEN TO ME WHILE DRIVING. I AM UNSURE OF WHAT DEFINES A "TIMELY RESPONSE" FOR THE REPLACEMENTS ARE, BUT I HOPE THIS ISSUE CAN BE RESOLVED SOON.
