AFTER MANY FAILED TEMPS FROM FORD FOR MY BODY THROTTLE ISSUES & FORDS DEALER REFUSAL TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY, BC THE CODE ISN'T PRESENT WHEN THEY HOOK UP THEY'RE DEVICE TO IT(FORD RULES). EVEN THOUGH IS KNOWN WITH FORD THEY CODE WILL CLEAR WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED OFF OR IN MY CASE SOMETIMES SHUT OFF BY ITSELF WHEN THE WRENCH LIGHT APPEARS.06/02/15FORD DEALER DID A PCM UPDATE FOR THE T.BODY & WAS GOOD TO GO. LESS THAN A MONTH LATER ISSUES STARTED AGAIN. IT HAS HAPPENED COUNTLESS OF TIMES WITH MY BF & W.MY KIDS IN THE CAR. I CALLED DAVIDSON FORD & SPOKE TO THE MANGER WHERE HE STATED NOT TO SHUT THE CAR OFF SO THE CODE DOESNT CLEAR & I ASKED IF THE TOW GUY WOULD LEAVE THE CAR ON TO BRING IT HERE. HE GOES WELL NO! THEY WEREN'T OF HELP EVER.ON 03/07/16 HEADING HOME MY CAR WENT IN LIMP MODE & STEERING WENT STIFF. I COULDNT CONTROL THE CAR & ENDED UP HITTING A GUARD RAIL.MY CAR GOT DAMAGE & HURT MY BACK.THE OFFICER STATED I WAS LUCKY BC 20 MORE FT I WOULD OF HIT THE TELEPHONE POLE. THE TOW TRUCK GUY ALSO STATED THE CAR WASN'T SAFE TO DRIVE.THE NXT DAY MY BF CALLED FORD(WHO OPEN A CASE)& STATE FARM OUR INSUR.CO. WE WENT TO N.SIDE COLLISON WERE WE EXPLAINED THE SITUATION & RECALLS ON MY CAR.HE SAID HE WOULD TRY & TALK TO FORD TO SEE WHAT HE COULD DO. HE COULDN'T DO ANYTHING & WE HAD TO DEAL WITH FORD.THIS COLLISON CENTER WAS ON A TIME FRAME & REAL PUSHY.SO I HAD THE CAR TRANSFERRED TO ALAN BUYER COLLISON CENTER WHO WORKS W. MY INSUR. & FORD. WE'VE PLAYED PHONE TAG WITH FORD CSD. THE CLAIM WAS SENT TO FORDS LEGAL GENERAL COUNCIL WHOSE SUPPOSED TO HANDLE THE CASE & HAD 15 BUSINESS TO RESPOND. THEY HAVEN'T RESPONDED OR TRY TO MAKE CONTACT WITH US!I WAS ALSO TOLD BY FORDS CSD NOT TO HAVE THE COLLISON CENTER DO ANYTHING TILL WE HEAR FROM THE LEGAL COUNSEL. MY CAR HAS BEEN AT THE C.C 62+DAYS UNTOUCHED. I UPLOAD LETTER I SENT TO FORD COMPANY.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE RESTARTED SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL THE POWER STEERING FUNCTIONED PROPERLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO THE FAILURE LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
STEERING STOPPED GOING DOWN ROAD. LIGHT FOR POWER STEERING COMES ON A LOT. TURN CAR OFF RESETS COMPUTER AND OK UNTIL NEXT TIME.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO PULL INTO A PARKING LOT, THE STEERING ABILITY DECREASED. THE CONTACT LEFT THE VEHICLE PARKED IN THE LOT. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER A STEERING RECALL BY THE MANUFACTURER FIVE MONTHS AGO. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
2011 FORD FUSION SE. 64000 MILES. FOR NO APPARENT REASON, THE POWER STEERING WOULD NOT WORK WHEN TURNING THE CAR ON. IF TURNED OFF AND ON AGAIN, IT WORKS. IT ONLY HAPPENED RANDOMLY. AFTER A COUPLE TIMES, I BROUGHT THE CAR TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER. THEY SAID THERE WAS NO ERROR CODES BUT CHANGING THE STEERING WOULD BE APPROX. $1800. AFTER ONLINE RESEARCH THERE'S HUNDREDS OF CASES LIKE MINE WHICH FOR SOME REASON ARE NOT COVERED BY RECALL 15S18. USING A OBD APP I FOUND ERROR CODE C1277 WHICH RELATES TO THE WHEEL ANGLE SENSOR. NOW THE CAR WILL NOT HAVE A FUNCTIONING POWER STEERING AT ALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REVERSING FROM A PARKING SPACE, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. AN MESSAGE IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED AND INDICATED TO SERVICE POWER STEERING SYSTEM. THE FAILURE OCCURRED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
LUG NUTS CORRODE AND YOU CANNOT GET THE LUG WRENCH ON THEM TO REMOVE TIRE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE ACCORDING TO SEVERAL FORD TECHS. I'VE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE ONE SET OF LUG NUTS DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND NOW I AM BEING TOLD I NEED TO REPLACE THEM AGAIN.
WENT TO USE CAR REMOTE AND DID NOT WORK, BOUGHT ANOTHER KEY AND WHEN MY SERVICE TRIED TO PROGRAM IT THEY FOUND OUT THE 15604 F MODULE WAS BAD. THEY CALL FORD AND FORD TOLD THEM IT IS BACK ORDER ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. IF THEY ARE REPLACING THIS MANY MODULE THEN FORD HAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS PART.
WHEEL STUDS BREAKING. I HAVE NOW HAD 9 WHEEL STUDS BREAK, 8 DURING NORMAL SERVICING AND 1 WHILE ACTUALLY DRIVING. SINCE WITH ALLOY WHEELS THERE WAS NO HUBCAP, THE WHEEL NUT AND THE TOP OF THE BOLT WAS MISSING. THERE WAS AN ORIGINAL RECALL FOR THIS BUT ONLY FOR CARS WITH STEEL WHEELS. MY CAR HAS ALLOY WHEELS BUT I CONSIDER 9 BREAKS TO BE UNSAFE.
HEARING SQUEAKS AND CREAKS WHILE DRIVING OVER BUMPS AND TURNING. SINCE STANDARD BALL JOINTS ARE NOT USED IN TIS MODEL MIGHT BE THE 4 LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED THREE TIMES PRIOR TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE POWER STEERING WAS FUNCTIONAL AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN: 15V340000 (STEERING) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,000.
MY 2011 FUSION HAS 66,000 MILES ON IT, AND HE PTU (POWER TRANSFER BOX) IS LEAKING. MY "WARRANTY" EXPIRED AT 60K MILES, SO FORD WILL NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH FORD, AND THEY ARE IGNORING IT. MY AWD SHOULDN'T FAIL WITH FEWER THAN 67K MILES. OIL LEAKS ALL OVER, I AM NOW UNABLE TO TURN ON POINT. LOUD RADDLING NOISES THAT COULD ONLY BE DETECTED AFTER A POINT TURN.
THE HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONING FAN OVERHEATED AND MELTED. FAN WOULD START AND STOP INTERMITTENTLY AND THEN QUIT WORKING. WHOLE UNIT HAD TO BE REPLACED.
THE TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE SLAMS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND STARTING AND STOPPING THE TRANSMISSION SLAMS THE CAR FORWARD. THE REAR VIEW MIRROR HAS STARTED TO PEEL AWAY FROM THE GLASS CAUSING MAJOR VISION PROBLEMS. I ASKED THE DEALER ABOUT THE ISSUE AND THEY TOLD ME TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEEDLESS TO SAY I STILL HAVE THE SAME MIRROR.
TAKATA RECALL - WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SEVERAL YEARS FOR FORD TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. THEY JUST KEEP SAYING AWAITING NHTSA RECALL NUMBER EVENTHOUGH #19S01 IS LISTED ON THIS SITE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PURGE VALVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000. ...UPDATED 10/19/16 *BF *TR
WIPERS QUIT WORKING IN MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD. ATTEMPT TO SPEED UP DELAY AND WILL NOT SLOW DOWN. IF OPERATOR TRIES TO SLOW THE DELAY SPEED DOWN SPEED WILL NOT DECREASE. TRANSMISSION SLAMS AFTER HIGHWAY TRAVEL AND LOCKS UP DRIVE TIRE AT TIMES.
THE VEHICLE IS VERY HARD TO STEER. ELECTRIC POWER STEERING IS OUT
I BOUGHT THE 2011 FORD FUSION NEW. ON LAST YEAR THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WOULD NOT STAY UP. IT WAS REPAIRED FOR ABOUT $350. ONE YEAR LATER THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE STOPPED WORKING. I CAN'T GET OUT OF THE CAR UNLESS I ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN OR CRAWL TO THE PASSENGER SIDE. I HAD JUST ARRIVED AT WORK AND TURNED THE IGNITION OFF. I PULLED ON THE HANDLE AND THE DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN.
CONTACT TEAM FORD LAS VEGAS NV 1/29/2016 CONCERNING MY RECALL. SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S34/NHTSA RECALL 15V-793 THEY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT IF THE FUEL TANK HAD A CRACK, THAT A NEW FUEL TANK WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE "UNTIL 2017" HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE IF MY FUEL TANK IS INDEED CRACKED. AM I SUPPOSED TO DRIVE THE FORD FUSION WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF A FIRE OR EXPLOSION? WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY TO WORK ON JANUARY 29, 2016 I TURNED ON MY WIPERS TO CLEAN THE WINDSHIELD AFTER I TURNED THE WIPERS OFF THEY STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD, EFFECTING MY VISION WHILE DRIVING. ONCE OFF, THEY WILL INTERMITTENTLY TURN THEMSELVES ON AND OFF FOR A PERIOD SOMETIMES STOPPING IN THE FIELD OF VISION.

MY 2011 FORD FUSION LOST POWER STEERING AND BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. THE WARNING LIGHT DISPLAYED TODAY WHILE IN MOTION. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. MY WIFE USES THIS VEHICLE TO DRIVE MY SON TO AND FROM SCHOOL AND NOW SHE WILL NEVER FEEL COMFORTABLE OR SAFE AFTER THIS ISSUE AND READING ALL THE PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS. THIS IS A BIG ISSUE AND A RECALL NEEDS TO BE ISSUED. FORD NEEDS TO FIX THIS ISSUE AND RESTORE PEOPLES TRUST. OUR FUSION CURRENTLY HAS APPROXIMATELY 48,000 MILES.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE SOLENOID NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A SECOND OPINION AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE SOLENOID NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V793000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 78,000.
TAKATA RECALL HAS BEEN ON A RECALL LIST FOR MY VEHICLE FOR QUITE A WHILE. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN JAN/16 AND WAS AWARE OF THIS RECALL. SINCE THEN, THERE HAS NOT BEE A REMEDY PRESENTED AND THERE IS ALSO A HIGH RISK FOR THIS TO MALFUNCTION. WITH THE TEMPERATURES IN CENTRAL TEXAS WELL ABOVE 100 DEGREES, I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED AND A REMEDY HAS NOT BEEN PRESENTED. THE FIELD SERVICE ACTION NUMBER IS 15N01 I HAVE ALSO RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL OF SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES THAT I COULD FILE A CLAIM FOR THIS. I WILL INVESTIGATE THAT FURTHER BUT I KNOW THAT TAKATA AIRBAGS ARE FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY. SO MY CONCERN IS THAT THERE WILL NEVER BE A REMEDY AVAILABLE.
I STARTED MY VEHICLE AND LET IT WARM UP A COUPLE OF MINUTES BEFORE I LEFT MY JOB ON COLD NIGHT. WHEN I BACKED OUT OF MY SPOT AND WENT FORWARD MY SERVICE POWER STEERING MESSAGE CAME ON AND THEN SERVICE ADVANCED TRACK CAME ON. WHEN I STOPPED AT THE LIGHT TO TURN I NOTICED THAT I HAD NO POWER STEERING. I SEEN ONLINE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED MY VEHICLE WAS NOT LISTED IN THIS RECALL. I THEN CALLED FORD MOTOR CO. AND NEITHER PARTY COULD TELL ME WHY MY VEHICLE WAS NOT LISTED IN THIS RECALL WHEN IT WAS INDEED A 2011 FORD FUSION WITHOUT A 3.5 AND HAD THE STEERING ISSUE AS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL. NOT HAVING POWER STEERING ALL AT ONCE WITH NO PRIOR WARNING CAN BE A VERY DANGEROUS THING. LUCKILY IN MY CASE IT WAS NOT A BUSY INTERSECTION AT THAT TIME. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MINE OR OTHER VEHICLES WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND POSSIBLY THE SAME PART IS FAILING YET NOT COVERED UNDER FORDS RECALL 15S18.

I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY STEERING IT'S REALLY HARD TO TURN THE WHEEL AT TIMES N DOES IT OFTEN NOT SURE IF I CAN GET THE INFORMATION TO MY VEHICLE ON WHAT RECALLS THERE ARE IF ANY.
WE WERE STATIONARY AT A RED LIGHT AT A 4-WAY INTERSECTION. A CAR FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION (COMING TOWARDS US) RAN THE RED LIGHT AND HIT US HEAD-ON DOING APPROX. 50 MPH. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IN OUR CAR DID NOT DEPLOY DURING THE HEAD-ON COLLISION. THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG DID DEPLOY. I WAS IN THE PASSENGER'S SEAT AND SUFFERED NUMEROUS INJURIES DUE TO THE AIRBAG NOT DEPLOYING.

MY CAR ALMOST CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE I WAS WORKING. THE FUEL TANK HAD A CRACK IN IT AND GASOLINE WAS LEAKING OUT. THESE FUMES WERE INHALED BY MY GRANDKIDS AND ME. WHEN I TOOK MY CAR IN ,THE FORD DEALER KEPT MY CAR FROM 12/8/2015 UNTIL 07/27/2016. I HAD TO RIDE IN A RENTAL THIS LONG.A RECALL WAS ISSUED IN JANUARY. I FELT THAT AS A CONSUMER, I WAS TREATED UNFAIRLY AND THE RISK OF MY FAMILY WAS NOT CONSIDER A FACTOR WHEN THIS CAR COULD HAVE BURST INTO FLAMES AT ANY TIME.
