TRANSMISSION ISSUE I HAD MY FORD FUSION RECALL REPAIR DONE ON THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY. THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED MY TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS WELL BUT SAID IT WAS NOT RELATED THE OTHER RECALL. MY CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL WERE DAMAGED AS WELL. I DON'T SEE ANY WAY HOW THE TRANSMISSION DAMAGE IS NOT RELATED TO THE CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL WHEN THEY'RE ALL CONNECTED IN THE DRIVE TRAIN. I'M SURE I'VE NOT THE FIRST PERSON TO HAVE THIS ISSUE. THE TRANSMISSION CONSTANTLY WHINES NO MATTER HOW FAST I DRIVE.
WHILE DRIVING IN THE PASSING LANE ON THE HIGHWAY ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK I BEGAN TO SMELL SMOKE. I INITIALLY THOUGHT IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE'S BRAKES UNTIL I BEGAN TO SEE SMOKE COMING THROUGH THE INTERIOR PANELS OF MY VEHICLES. LUCKILY, THE VEHICLES NEAR ME NOTICED THE SMOKE AND SLOWED DOWN SO THAT I COULD GET OFF THE ROAD. ONCE PULLED OVER I WENT TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR AND FELT THE HOOD BUT IT DID NOT FEEL HOT BUT WHEN I LOOKED UP I NOTICED THE SMOKE WAS COMING FORM THE TRUNK. I WENT TO THE BACK OF THE CAR, OPENED THE TRUNK AND NOTICED FLAMES COMING FROM THE CAR BATTERY COMPARTMENT (NOT THE HYBRID BATTERY). I TRIED TO SMOTHER THE FIRE WITH A SHEET BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. I REALIZED THE FLAMES WERE MOVING DOWN THE SIDE TOWARD THE FUEL TANK AND STEPPED AWAY TO CALL 911. WITHIN MINUTES THE FIRE SPREAD THROUGH MY TRUNK TO THE BACKSEAT OF THE VEHICLE AND COMPLETELY ENGULFED THE VEHICLE.
CAR OVERHEATED WHILE DRIVING, TOWED CAR TO KENT PARSONS FORD IN MARTINSBURG WV AND THEY STATED THERE IS A CRACKED HEAD BUT IT ISN'T COVERED UNDER RECALL 17S09
OUR CALL HAD A RECALL , NEVER GOT NOTICE AND THE RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE LOCALIZED OVERHEATING MY CYLINDER HEAD TO CRACK, RESULT IN FIRE IN ENGINE AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR 2013 FORD FUSION
CAR WAS PUT INTO PARK AND WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. PIECE HOLDING TRANSMISSION SHIFTER CABLE CAME OFF AND HAD TO BE REPLACED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE THE SHIFTER WAS IN THE PARK POSITION, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY DROVE BACKWARDS. THE DRIVER IMMEDIATLEY USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (ADAMSON FORD, 1922 2ND AVE. S., BIRMINGHAM, AL) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
RUNS ROUGH; COOLANT DETECTED IN #3 CYLINDER; MAY HAVE CRACKED HEAD. IF CRACKED HEAD RELEASES STEAM DURING OPERATION, DRIVER IS DRIVING BLIND. WITH NO VISIBILITY. THERE WERE THREE RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM. FORD DENIES RESPONSIBILITY, ADVISES I BUY NEW ENGINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO PARK, THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGED IN REVERSE. ALSO, THE IGNITION AND STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SPRADLEY BARR FORD (4809 S COLLEGE AVE, FORT COLLINS, CO 80525) WHERE THEY STATED THAT IT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
DOOR LATCH FAILURE
CURRENTLY OUR VECHICLE IS BACK IN THE DEALERSHIP. WE ARE A FORD DRIVING FAMILY. THIS CAR HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. EVERY RECALL. WE HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP, DUE TO AIR IN TANK. THEN PAID 2000$ AND HAD IT FOR 2WKS. THIS WAS AT THE END OF JULY 2018. FOR LECTRONIC ISSUE. NOW, THE NEW PROBLEM THE DEALERSHIP CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX IT. WE WERE BACKING OUT OF OUR DRIVE. BLACKTOP DRIVEWAY. ONCE YOUR SHIFT INTO DRIVE FORWARD THE CAR SHUTS OFF. A MECHANIC SYMBOL APPEARS. WE HAD IT TOWED TO THE AUTOMAX FORD SERVICE IN KILLEEN TX 76544. THIS IS A BAD SIGN. WE DID BUY IT USED, THINKING IT WAS A GOOD DEAL BUT THINK THIS VECHICLE HAS BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. IT HAD HAIL DAMAGE ON IT THAT THE DEALER DIDN'T EVEN SEE THAT, I DID AND THEY FIXED THAT. I TOLD THE DEALER THIS WILL BE THE LAST FORD VECHICLE.THIS EXPERIENCE IS LEAVING A BAD TASTE IN OUR MOUTHIES. WE ARE SEEKING SOME ASSISTANCE HERE ON THIS PROBLEM. TAKATA RECALL DOOR LOCK IS STAYING UNLOCK WHILE DRIVING DOWN THEROAD
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A CURB. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LUCAS FORD (900 US-130, BURLINGTON, NEW JERSEY 08016, (609) 386-3100) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER ASSIST ECU FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 47,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. *JB
RECALL ON DOOR LATCH WAS SERVICED ON NOV 3 2017 AT 85000 MILES. AND THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURED WITH THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. CONTACTED HENNESSY FORD IN ALPHARETTA GA THAT DONE THE RECALL AND SAYS THERE'S NO WARRANTY ON RECALL REPAIRS.
THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER CABLE BROKE. I SEE WHERE THEY ARE BEING RECALLED, BUT NOT FOR MY VIN NUMBER. THE PART AND LABOR COST ME ALMOST $500. PLEASE HELP ME TO FIND OUT WHY MINE IS NOT COVERED AND HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK. IT SHOULD BE COVERED ON MY VEHICLE TOO. ITS A 2013 FORD FUSION. AND THATS WHAT THEY ARE RECALLING.
THE HOOD LATCH CONTINUES TO LOOSEN CAUSING MY HOOD NOT TO CLOSE PROPERLY. I HAVE NOTICED THAT MANY OTHER FUSIONS IN MY TOWN ARE DRIVING AROUND WITH HOODS THAT ARE NOT PROPERLY SHUTTING AS WELL.
ONE DAY WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE I COMPLETELY LOST POWER STEERING. I MANAGED TO GET TO A SAFE PLACE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND THE POWER STEERING RETURNED, THE FAILURE IS DUE TO A MALFUNCTIONING RACK AND PINION. FORD HAS GONE TO A COMPLETELY ELECTRONIC RACK AND PINION; RESULTING IN NOW ISSUES ON OWNERS PART FOR LACK OF PROPER FLUID CHANGES/SERVICE. I TOOK THE CAR TO FORD TO HAVE IT CHECKED FOR A RECALL AND THEY STATED THEIR WAS NONE. A FEW DAYS FOLLOWING THE INITIAL LOSS OF STEERING I LOST IT COMPLETELY AND IT HAS NOT RETURNED. FORD HAS SUBMITTED DOCUMENTATION REGARDING 2011-2012 FORD FUSION HYBRIDS, LINCOLN HYBRIDS AND VARIOUS OTHER MODELS THAT HAVE HAD A SIMILAR ISSUE. THE VEHICLE HAS ROUGHLY 133K MILES AND WAS PURCHASED USED. I AM UNSURE AS TO WHEN MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED LATE 2012 AND SOLD IN 2013 OR MANUFACTURED EARLY 2013. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUES AS THE PREVIOUS MODELS, HAVE HAD THE DEALER CHECK MY VEHICLE AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MY ONLY OPTION WAS $3200 REPAIR FOR THEM TO REPLACE. I HAVE ATTACHED A SAFETY RECALL DOCUMENT (PART 573 SAFETY RECALL REPORT) 15V-340 OMB CONTROL NO: 2127-004 I WOULD REQUEST THAT THE PART BE REPLACED AND COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER AS THEY HAVE SEVERAL REPORTS AND RECALLS FOR SIMILAR VEHICLES

THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME AND THEN TOWED TO AUTONATION FORD (4355 JONESBORO RD, UNION CITY, GA 30291, (770) 674-6075). THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO PARK, IT CONTINUED TO MOVE. UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TRANSMISSION BUSHING LINK WAS DETACHED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JIM SNEAD FORD (LOCATED 2401 W MAIN ST, WAYNESBORO, VA) WHERE THE FAILURE WAS CONFIRMED AND IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE BUSHING BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST BECAUSE THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 97,000.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED OFF ROAD ON A DIRT SLOPED PART OF LAND. BRAKE WAS DEPRESSED AND VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION WAS PLACED IN PARK, ALTHOUGH THE P INDICATOR ON THE DASH DID NOT ILLUMINATE. UPON RELEASING THE BRAKE, THE VEHICLE SLOWLY BEGAN ROLLING IN REVERSE. I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL A AGAIN AND UPON LETTING GO THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ROLL BACKWARDS. I ENGAGRED THE PARKING BRAKE IN WHICH THE VEHICLE STAYED IN PLACE. I TRIED TO START THE CAR, BUT ENGINE WOULD NOT TURNOVER. I POPPED THE HOOD TO LOOK FOR ANY PROBLEMS AND FOUND THE TRAMISSION LINKAGE COMPLETELY OFF TRAMISSION. I MANUALLY TURNED THE TRANSMISSION SELECTOR ALL THE WAY FORDWARD TO PARK, RESULTING IN THE DASH P (PARK) ILLUMINATING. I THE SET THE LINKAGE BACK ON THE SELECTOR AND ZIPTIED THE LINKAGE AND SELECTOR TOGETHER TO MAKE IT HOME.
DRIVER SEAT I HAVE A FORD FUSION 2013 THAT I PURCHASED BRAND NEW AND HAVE ALREADY HAD MANY ISSUES (SOME RECALLS AND SOME NOT). I AM CURRENTLY HAVING ISSUES WITH MY DRIVER SEAT MOTOR THAT MOVES SEAT FORD AND BACK FOR LEG ROOM. THE SIDE OF THE SEAT CLOSEST TO MIDDLE CONSOLE (RIGHT SIDE) SEEMS STUCK AND WILL NOT MOVE FORWARD. THIS RESULTS IN A DIAGONALLY ANGLED SEAT. I AM NOT A TALL PERSON, THEREFORE THIS ISSUES MAKES ME UNABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND SEE SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS SAME ISSUE. WE BROUGHT IT INTO THE FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE WE PURCHASED THE CAR AND THE COST FOR SAID ISSUE IS OVER $2,000.00. SEEMS LIKE IF MULTIPLE PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE THEN THERE WAS CLEARLY SOMETHING WRONG FROM THE BEGINNING. ALSO- I SEE THERE IS ANOTHER SEAT RECALL FROM 2014 (FRONT SEAT BACKREST REPLACEMENT) TO WHICH THE MOTOR AND SEAT ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE REMOVED/REPLACED/OR ADJUSTED. LEADS ME TO THINK THIS MAY BE AN ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS RECALL. I AM DISHING OUT THE COST OF THIS REPAIR..I DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION RIGHT NOW. BUT I AM GREATLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS ISSUES AND FORD DENYING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ISSUES EVEN THOUGH SEVERAL FORD CUSTOMERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE. SADLY, THIS MAKES ME DISTRUST PURCHASING A FORD VEHICLE AGAIN.

I HAVE BEEN GETTING THE RUN AROUND FROM LOCAL DEALERS ABOUT GETTING THE REPAIR ON THE SEATBELT PRETENSIONERS RECALL. I WAS TOLD THE PARTS WERE ORDERED, THEN WAITED A MONTH. CALLED AGAIN, STILL NOT IN. WHEN I CALL CALL BACK, AFTER I ASK ABOUT IT, I GET SENT TO VOICE MAIL WITH NO CALL BACK. IT HAS BEEN 5 MONTHS. A SECOND DEALER I CALLED TO TRY TO GET THE REPAIR IS DOING THE VOICEMAIL ISSUE WITH ME AS WELL.. OBVIOUSLY, THE DEALERS DON'T WANT TO FIX IT. THEY WANT ME TO GO AWAY.

MY DOOR LATCHES WERE PERFORMING JUST FINE. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE DOOR LATCHES, SO I HAD THE RECALL WORK PERFORMED AND THE DOOR LATCHES WERE REPLACED. A MONTH LATER, MY RIGHT REAR PASSENGER DOOR DIDN'T WANT TO SHUT, BUT AFTER A FEW MINUTES IT FINALLY DID. AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IT CAME OPEN. I FOUGHT WITH MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO GET IT REPAIRED THE SAME DAY BECAUSE OF A SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE 3 KIDS WHO SIT IN THE BACK SEAT WITH A DOOR THAT WILL NOT LATCH AND STAY CLOSED. THAT WAS MARCH. TODAY (AUGUST 30), THE LEFT REAR DOOR DECIDED TO DO THE SAME THING. THEY SAY THEY CAN'T FIX IT UNTIL TOMORROW, WHICH IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS CONSIDERING THERE IS NOWHERE ELSE FOR MY CHILD TO SIT AND IT IS THE ONLY VEHICLE I OWN. I ALREADY PERFORMED THE RECALL BACK IN FEBRUARY AND IT SEEMS IT MADE THE PROBLEM WORSE CONSIDERING I HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE LATCHES BEFORE THE RECALL WORK WAS PERFORMED. I'M NOT SO SURE FORD REMEDIED THE LATCH ISSUE WITH THEIR EARLIER RECALL.

HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS CHARGED FOR THE REPAIR DUE TO FORD NOT HAVING THE PARTS UNTIL THE END OF THE THIRD QUARTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. SHIFT CABLE BUSHING FAILURE ARRIVED TO WORK AND PARKED ON A SLIGHT INCLINE ON A CITY STREET. PLACED VEHICLE IN PARK AND EXITED VEHICLE. VEHICLE STARTED TO ROLL BACK EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN PARK. SHIFTER SAID PARK BUT CAR DASH SAID DRIVE. HAD TO APPLY EMERGENCY BRAKE TO KEEP VEHICLE FROM MOVING. I WAS HALF WAY OUT OF CAR WHEN IT STARTED ROLLING BACKWARD. I HAD VEHICLE TOWED AS I WAS NOT ABLE TO PLACE CAR SHIFTER OUT OF PARK POSITION AND CAR WAS IN PARK AND WOULD ROLL IF I DID NOT APPLY EMERGENCY BRAKE. THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS PART FOR CERTAIN 2013 VEHICLES BUT NOT MINE, I FEEL THAT THIS IS UNSAFE AS I COULD HAVE BEEN INJURED IF I WASN'T ABLE TO STOP MY CAR OR IF SOMEONE OR ANOTHER VEHICLE HAD BEEN BEHIND MY CAR AT THE TIME.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-15656745. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
WHEN STARTING TO DRIVE THE CAR IT HAS SOME SLIPPING AND HESITANCY GOING FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR AND SECOND TO THIRD. ONCE IT GETS TO THIRD GEAR IT USUALLY RUNS FINE. WHEN PLUGGED IN TO DIAGNOSIS THE ERROR FOR SOLENOID COMES UP. IT IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP TO BE FIXED. WHEN ONLINE DOING RESEARCH ABOUT THIS PROBLEM I NOTICED A LOT OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS FROM OTHERS AND NO RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY FORD.

THE TRANSMISSION IN MY FORD FUSION 2013 HAD TO BE SERVICED AT ONCE NOW 2 YEARS LATER I AM BEING TOLD I NEW A NEW TRANSMISSION. THE CAR HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM.
I WAS PURCHASING A NEW VEHICLE, WHILE SHOPPING AT GREENWAY DODGE AND FORD, I CAME ACROSS A 2013 FORD FUSION AND LOVED THE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, THE BACK RIGHT DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE DUE TO A MANUFACTURE RECALL. I TOLD THE SALES MAN I LOVE THE VEHICLE BUT I WOULD NOT MAKE A DOWN PAYMENT UNTIL THEY FIXED IT. A COUPLE DAYS LATER I RECEIVED A CALL THAT THEY FIXED ALL 4 DOORS AND THE VEHICLE WAS READY. AFTER ABOUT TWO OR SO WEEKS FROM PICKING THE VEHICLE UP, I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR SWUNG OPEN WITH MY GIRLFRIEND IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND MY DOG IN THE BACK (IF IT WAS MY DOG IN THE FRONT SEAT HE WOULD BE DEAD ON THE HIGHWAY). I RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHEN I FOUND OUT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED 2 PREVIOUS TIMES, ONCE IN APRIL AND ONCE IN JULY, CLAIMING THAT ALL 4 DOORS HAD BEEN REPLACED. I ONCE AGAIN HAD TO PUT MY VEHICLE IN THE SHOP AND RENT A CAR. THEN TODAY, I RECEIVE A CALL THAT THEY GAVE ME A COMPLETELY INVALID LICENSE PLATE. WHEN I WENT TO GET ANOTHER TAG AFTER MY TEMPORARY ONE EXPIRED THEY REFUSED TO PRINT ANOTHER ONE EVEN THOUGH I ONLY GOT ONE TEMPORARY. I EXPLAINED THAT I COULD NOT DRIVE WITHOUT A PLATE WHEN THE PERSON WORKING GAVE ME HARD PLATE AND TOLD ME IT WAS MINE. I RECENTLY JUST GOT MY FLORIDA DRIVER'S LICENSE. IF I WAS PULLED OVER WITH A PLATE THAT WAS NOT REGISTERED AND OUT-OF-STATE LICENSE I WOULD GET TICKETED (POSSIBLE ARRESTED), CAR IMPOUNDED, AND TONS OF FINES. THEY DID NOT TELL ME FOR A MONTH THAT THE LICENSE PLATE I HAD WAS NOT REGISTERED TO ME. I HAVE BEEN BACK AND FORTH WITH THIS DEALERSHIP CONSTANTLY AND I HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE JULY (THERE IS DOCUMENTATION ON THE REPAIRS). I WANT TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION FOR THE RISK THEY HAVE PUT MY GIRLFRIEND IN AND ALSO THE CARELESS MISTAKES THEY HAVE MADE WHILE DISPLAYING A LACK OF URGENCY.
THE PASSENGER DOOR LATCH WILL NOT OPERATE ALLOWING DOOR TO CLOSE. IT CAME OPEN WHEN MY DAUGHTER HAD IT AT COLLEGE. THERE WAS A POLICE REPORT DONE AND NO EVIDENCE OF A BREAK IN WAS FOUND. IT HAPPENED IN FLORENCE, AL AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH ALABAMA. SHE SAID IT WAS PARKED WHEN IT HAPPENED.
HOOD LATCH IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE IS FAULTY. FORD DEALER MECHANIC EXPLAINED IT IS A COMMON ISSUE DUE TO THE SLACK IN THE CABLE AND STYLE OF SYSTEM. SAID THAT WHEN THEY REPAIR ISSUES THEY TIGHTEN THE CABLE TO ENSURE PROPER OPERATION. $1175 TO REPAIR A COMMON ISSUE DUE TO FAULTY ENGINEERING. 2013 AND 2014 UNITS ARE THE ON MY 2 YEARS MANUFACTURED THIS WAY. LEADS ONE TO BELIEVE, FORD KNOWS THERE IS AN ISSUE.
I'VE HAD MY 3RD DOOR LATCH FAIL ON THIS CAR. DOOR WILL NOT SHUT. LATCHES FAILED TWICE PREVIOUSLY, ONCE WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE FIRST AND THE THIRD TIME FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE PARKED. THIS COMPLAINT IS THE SAME AS THE ITEM COVERED IN RECALL CAMPAINS 17V210000 AND 15V246000 BUT FORD HAS REFUSED TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE UNDER THESE RECALL CAMPAIGNS STATING MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. CLEARLY WITH THREE FAILED DOOR LATCHES MY VEHICLE SUFFERS FROM THE SAME DEFECT, AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE RECALL FOR DEFECTIVE DOOR LATCHES. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE WITH MY FAMILY IN THIS VEHICLE.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY WHEN GEAR SHIFTER FAILED. VEHICLE WAS STUCK IN PARK. AS IT TURNS OUT, SHIFTER CABLE HAD FAILED AND CABLE BECAME DISLODGED. NHTSA RECALL 18V471 CAR IS UNABLE TO OPERATE DUE TO CABLE FAILURE. FORD DEALER WILL NOT REPAIR. ASKING CUSTOMER TO FRONT PAYMENT FOR REPAIRS AND NEGOTIATE WITH FORD FOR REIMBURSEMENT. FORD HAS IDENTIFIED A DEFECT, THAT DEFECT HAS CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO BE IMMOBILE, AND FORD SHOULD BEAR THE EXPENSE OF REPAIR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED TO MOVE OUT OF PARK. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAYED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN NEUTRAL. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COUGHLIN FORD OF JOHNSTOWN (670 W COSHOCTON ST, JOHNSTOWN, OH 43031, (740) 967-2085), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD AND IN REVERSE; HOWEVER, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND COULD NOT BE TURNED LEFT OR RIGHT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. A "STEERING FAULT" MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000.
I WAS AT A RESTERAUNT DRIVE THROUGH WINDO, PLACED MY CAR IN PARK. THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE BY THE GEAR BUT THE DASH SHOWED THAT IT WAS STILL IN PARK. THE GEAR WOULD MOVE BACK AND FORTH WITH EASE BUT NOTHING WAS HAPPENING ON DASH THE CAR EVEN THOUGH I HAD PLACED IT IN DRIVE IT WAS OBVIOUSLY STILL IN PARK. I COULD NOT MOVE OUT OF THE DRIVE THROUGH AND IT HAD TO BE SHUT DOWN UNTIL I COULD GET A TOW. I HAD TO TAKE IT TO FORD AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE SHIFT CABLE TO THE TRANSMISSION. I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX THIS SO I AM DRIVING MY GRANDMOTHERS CAR I HEARD OF A RECALL FOR THE SAME ISSUES ABOUT A WEEK LATER WITH 2013 FORD FUSIONS BUT THE FORD SAID MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. I FEEL THIS IS A BIGGER ISSUE THAN THEY THOUGHT AND I AM NOT HAPPY AND WITHOUT A VEHICLE

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V250000 (STEERING). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,000.
PULLED INTO DRIVEWAY, CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND PUT MY CAR IN PARK. THE GEAR SHIFTER WENT INTO PARK AND I REMOVED THE KEY. BEGAN LEAVING THE CAR AND IT ROLLED BACKWARDS. IMMEDIATELY GOT BACK INTO POSITION TO APPLY THE BRAKE. TRIED TO START THE CAR IT WOULD NOT START. APPLIED EMERGENCY BRAKE. UPON INVESTIGATION FOUND THE SHIFTER CABLE DETACHED FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND BUSHING WAS MISSING.
TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF REVERSE. SHIFT CABLE WAS MISSING GROMMET THAT CONNECTS IT TO MANUAL LEVER ON THE TRANSMISSION.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS17392667. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REFERRED THE CONTACT TO SOUTH BAY FORD (5100 W ROSECRANS AVE, HAWTHORNE, CA 90250, (310) 584-7641). THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT OF THE DIAGNOSTIC FEES; THEREFORE, THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT TWO OTHER UNKNOWN DEALERS WERE CONTACTED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V209000: (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND A COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000.

A LETTER WAS MAILED TO ME ON APRIL 2017 INFORMING ME OF SAFETY RECALL 17S09. WE HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THIS INSPECTED AND REPAIRED WHEN PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. THE SPECIAL ORDER FOR PARTS WAS NOT PLACED UNTIL 7/3/18. THEY HAVE NOT COME IN YET, PER OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP, AND I HAVE DOCUMENTATION OF ALL OF THIS. ON SATURDAY 8/8/2018 THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO MY RESIDENCE TO PUT OUT AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE DUE TO THISRECALL ISSUE. THE ENGINE STARTED SMOKING AS I PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY WITH MY 6 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE CAR. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ENGINE OVERHEATING SIGNALS HAD ALERTED ME. THE FIRE ESCALATED VERY QUICKLY, AND FLAMES WERE SEEN COMING DROM UNDER THE HOOD AND ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR. THE VEHICLE IS A TOTAL LOSS, AND THIS HAS CREATED A MAJOR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FOR OUR FAMILY.
WHILE TURNING OFF A MAIN ROAD INTO A PARKING LOT MY FINGER WAS CUT BY THE UNDERSIDE SHARP EDGE OF THE CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON HOUSING ASSEMBLY.
WAS DRIVING AT A SLOW RATE AND MY DAUGHTER WAS IN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND DOOR OPENED AND WILL NOT CLOSE.
2013 FORD FUSION RADIO STILL HAS SOUND, BUT SCREEN IS BLACK, CAN'T CHANGE STATIONS, WON'T TURN OFF, EVEN AFTER CAR IS TURNED OFF AND DOOR OPENS. BATTERY DIED, CAR WOULDN'T START. WAS ABLE TO JUMP START BATTERY, BUT SAME THING HAPPENED 2 DAYS LATER. NOW BATTERY IS COMPLETELY DEAD. HAD THIS HAPPENED TO ANOTHER HOUSEHOLD VEHICLE EVEN AFTER HAVING A NEW BATTERY INSTALLED, AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE CAUSED BY A DEFECTIVE RADIO.
