TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER ACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. ALSO, WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, IT BECAME DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. ALSO, WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS TURNED OFF, THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND WAS ABLE TO OPERATE NORMALLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS IN USE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PHIL LONG FORD OF DENVER (7887 W TUFTS AVE, DENVER, CO 80123, (855) 981-0291) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A TRANSMISSION FLUSH WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000.

I HAVE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH TRYING TO GET MY RECALL RESOLVED 1ST OF ALL MY DOOR OPEN WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. AND ALSO WHILE I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK. SO I CALLED ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THIS WAS PART OF A NATIONAL RECALL. NOW I THOUGHT I ONLY HAD A RECALL ON MY SEATBELTS AND AIRBAG. NOW HAD THEY KEPT THEIR WORD ON MARCH 28TH THIS COULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED. HELP....
ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, I HAVE EXPERIENCED A MOMENTARY LOSS OF CONTROL OF MY CAR WHEN BRAKING. THE CAR ACCELERATES MOMENTARILY AFTER THE BRAKES ENGAGE AND I HAVE TAKEN MY FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN DECELERATING AROUND A CURVE , DRIVING DOWNHILL, OR WHEN DECELERATING OVER A BUMP OR OTHER AREA OF RAISED PAVEMENT LIKE MY DRIVEWAY. THESE INSTANCES HAVE OCCURRED ON CITY STREETS, AT SPEEDS UNDER 40 MPH. WHEN IT OCCURS IT FEELS AS IF THE CAR IS ACCELERATING. I WOULD ALSO DESCRIBE THE FEELING AS A SURGE, EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS BRAKING, AND SHOULD BE SLOWING. I HAVE ALSO DESCRIBED THIS AS A FEELING THAT THE BRAKES SLIP OR STOP WORKING MOMENTARILY AND THEN RE-ENGAGE. THE EXPERIENCE IS FRIGHTENING, AND I AM CONCERNED THAT THE CAR COULD SURGE FORWARD WHILE I AM BRAKING AND RESULT IN A COLLISION OR INJURIES. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS 26,000 MILES AND I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE REGULARLY. THESE SURGES RECENTLY HAVE SEEMED LONGER IN DURATION MORE RECENTLY. I HAVE NOTED THIS CONCERN TO MY FORD DEALER AND ASKED THEM TO CHECK THE BRAKES FOR PROBLEMS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD ME THAT THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE SURGE OR SKIDDING SENSATION. THIS IS NOT A SAFE CONDITION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE AND SWITCHING THE GEAR SHIFTER INTO THE PARK POSITION, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ROLLED BACKWARDS. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS APPLIED TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING. DURING THE INCIDENT, THE SHIFTER WAS IN THE PARK POSITION; HOWEVER, THE INDICATOR DISPLAYED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE LOCAL DEALER (TAMIAMI FORD, 1471 AIRPORT PULLING RD. NORTH, NAPLES, FL) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFT CABLE WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
COOLANT RECALL 17V209000- STATES IF THE FORD ENGINE COULD CRACK AND LEAK OIL IF OVERHEATED DUE TO THE ENGINE BEING LOW IN COOLANT. I TOOK MY CAR IN TO GET REPAIRED AND 3 WEEKS LATER MY CAR HAD THESE EXACT SYMPTOMS. FORD IS CLAIMING THE RESPONSIBILITY IS NOT THEIRS. THE CRACK IN THE CYLINDER HEAD LED TO THE ENGINE BECOMING WORN. SO NOW A NEW ENGINE IS NEEDED IN A CAR 5 YEARS OLD.
THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL ON THE CAR'S COOLING SYSTEM THAT CAN CAUSE THE CAR TO OVER HEAT AND CATCH FIRE, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED. MY DAUGHTER WAS AT A FRIENDS HOUSE MOST OF THE NIGHT. SHE GOT INTO THE CAR TO COME HOME. SHE GOT THREE TO FOUR MILES OR SO OUT OF TOWN WHEN IT STARTED TO OVER HEAT. BEING THAT SHE JUST LEFT SHE PULLED OVER AND TURNED AROUND TO GO BACK. WITH IN SECONDS OF TURNING AROUND THE CAR'S WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND SHE PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. BEING OUT IN THE COUNTRY ALONE SHE CALLED 911. 911 DISPATCH SENT A OFFICER AND A TOW TRUCK TO ASSIST HER. BEFORE THE OFFICER AND THE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED HER FRIEND SHOWED UP. SHE CALLED 911 AND TOLD THEM THAT HELP HAD ARRIVED. THEY GOT INTO THE TRUCK TO GO GET WATER AND LET THE CAR COOL DOWN WHEN OUT OF NOW WHERE THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION AND THE CAR WAS FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THIS WAS JUST A FEW MIN AFTER SHE HAD GOTTEN OUT OF THE CAR TO GET INTO HER FRIENDS TRUCK. BY THIS TIME A PASSER BY STOPPED AND SAW THE CAR ON FIRE AND CALLED 911 AGAIN FOR HELP. THE CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS. THANKFULLY MY DAUGHTER WAS NOT HURT , HOWEVER HAD HELP NOT ARRIVED WHEN IT DID SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. I CALLED THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER THE NEXT DAY TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THEY WHERE VERY RUDE AND DIDN'T OFFER MUCH HELP. HE EVEN ASKED ME WHAT I THOUGHT THEY SHOULD DO ABOUT IT. I TOLD THEM SINCE THIS WAS AN OPEN RECALL THEY SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR THE CAR. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD HAVE TO GET BACK WITH ME. AS OF YET I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL OR LETTER FROM THEM. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM AND ANY ONE WITH THIS TYPE OF CAR SHOULD STOP DRIVING IT.

PASSENGER SIDE FRONT DOOR OPENED WHEN GOING AROUND A CORNER, AND MY WIFE ALMOST FELL OUT OF THE CAR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I WAS MAKING A TURN WHEN MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT AND THERE WAS A MESSAGE SAYING POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. I TOOK IT TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAD PURCHASED MY CAR AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING GEAR AND I HAD RESEARCHED THAT SOME PREVIOUS CARS HAD BEEN RECALLED FOR THAT EXACT PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT EXCEEDED THE FIVE YEAR LIMIT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND CASE NUMBER: CAS-15092283 WAS OPENED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,950.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 119,000.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE DRIVING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION FAILED TO YIELD AND CRASHED INTO THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE CONTACT'S DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY, BUT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,711.
MY FORD FUSION IS A 2013 WHICH MEANS ITS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD AND THE GEAR SHIFT BUSHING POPPED OFF, WHEN I WENT TO PUT MY CAR IN PARK THE TRANSMISSION WAS AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHED TO DRIVE. I LUCKILY NOTICED MY CAR WASN'T IN PARK BEFORE I WAS ABOUT TO STEP OUT THE CAR OR I COULD HAVE BEEN RAN OVER! SINCE MY EXTENDED WARRANTY NOR MY CAR INSURANCE WON'T COVER THE COST BECAUSE ITS CONSIDERED WEAR AND TEAR I'M STUCK WITHOUT A VEHICLE TILL I FIND $600 TO FIX THE MECHANICAL PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE CAR HAS A FLIP OUT KEY. THE KEY STEM BREAKS OUT OF THE FOB HOLDER. IT HAS STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND THE CAR KEEPS RUNNING. YOU NEED A PLIERS TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND PULL OUT THE KEY. BOTH KEY FOBS HAVE BROKEN.

IN NOVEMBER OF 2016, THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V875000 (SEAT BELTS), BUT THE REMEDY WAS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
IN MODERATE TEMPERATURES, ~40-60 DEGREES F, THE ENGINE WILL STALL JUST AFTER STARTING TO DRIVE. SO IN THE SPRING AND THE FALL. IT DOES NOT OCCUR IN THE WINTER OR THE SUMMER. IT USUALLY OCCURS AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN WARMED UP AND DRIVEN AND THEN TURNED OFF FOR A WHILE. FOR INSTANCE, IF I DRIVE OUT TO LUNCH, STOP AND EAT, AND THEN START DRIVING AGAIN. JUST AFTER I START MOVING, SAY 100 FT., THE ENGINE STARTS RUNNING ROUGH AND NOTHING I DO WILL STOP IT FROM DYING. USUALLY IT STARTS RIGHT UP AND AND THEN IT NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN THAT DRIVE CYCLE. ONLY ONCE HAS IT OCCURRED TWICE IN A ROW. NO "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" OR CODES. HAD IT CHECKED BY A MECHANIC. THEY CHANGED THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, BUT IT DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. STARTED OCCURRING IN THE SPRING OF 2018.
PASSENGER DOOR LATCH (FRONT SEAT) BROKEN WITHOUT WARNING, UNABLE TO KEEP DOOR CLOSED WHEN MOVING.. I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THE LATCH PROBLEM ON THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE FUSION DOOR LATCH RECALL THAT AFFECTED OTHER 2013 FUSIONS. DEALER HAS NOW FIXED THE LATCH AND AT FIRST WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME THE ENTIRE $500 COST UNTIL I CALLED FORD DIRECTLY WHERE THEY AGREED (FORD) TO PAY MOST OF THE COST BUT NOT REPLACE OTHER UNAFFECTED DOOR LATCHES. THOUGH MY OUT OF POCKET COST WAS ONLY $53.50, MY CONCERN IS THAT THE PREVIOUS FUSION RECALL DID NOT GO FAR ENOUGH TO INCLUDE OTHER 2013 FORD FUSIONS THAT MAY HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. I AM CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHER OCCUPANTS IN THE VEHICLE.
POWER STEERING GEAR FAILED WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. I NEARLY LOST CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE. VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 48K MILES, THIS SAME PART IS COVERED UNDER OTHER FORD FUSION RECALLS BUT NOT THIS SPECIFIC VIN. FORD DEALERSHIP QUOTED $2600 TO REPAIR.
LOST STEERING HAS CRACKED ELE DRIVE MOTOR ON STEERING RACK 10TH ONE IN OUR FLEET OF 50 THE MOUNTING EAR IS BROKE FROM CORROSION OR RUST JACKING ALL THE CARS WE HAVE THE COWL LEAKS WATER ON DRIVE MOTOR

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, A GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND THE ENGINE COOLANT WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAITED UNTIL THE ENGINE COOLED DOWN. THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, BUT DUE TO OVERHEATING, THE CONTACT HAD IT TOWED TO WALDORF FORD (2440 CRAIN HWY, WALDORF, MD 20601, (301) 843-2400) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.

I HAVE A 2013 FORD FUSION THAT I JUST HAD TO REPLACE THE. TAKE BOOSTER ON, 8000 MILES OUT OF WARRANTY...AND NOW1 WEEK LATER, MY TURBO HAS WENT OUT! GONNA COST OVER $1000 TO FIX, NOT TO MENTION THE 400$ FOR THE BRAKE BOOSTER.. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A FORD FAN! BUT THIS IS DEFINITELY PUTTING A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH!!!!! THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

I CRASHED MY CAR INTO A LIGHT POLE BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION CABLE BROKE WHILE TRYING TO TURN AROUND. I PLACED THE CAR IN REVERSE TO COMPLETE A TURN ON S. BOYLE AVENUE IN ST. LOUIS BUT WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS TO GO BACKWARD, THE CAR WENT FORWARD INTO THE POLE. THE TRANSMISSION STAYED IN DRIVE WHEN THE CABLE BROKE AND CAUSE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO MY FRONT FASCIA AND GRILL. I AM REPORTING THIS BECAUSE FORD SENT A RECALL NOTICE AND WOULD NOT REPAIR MY CAR DUE TO THE DAMAGE RESULTING FROM A KNOWN DEFECT. THE RECALL NOTICE SAID NO ACCIDENTS OCCURRED FROM THIS RECALL AND I HAD TO CORRECT THE RECORD. FORD'S CABLE DEFECT DID CAUSE MY CRASH AND VEHICLE DAMAGE. FORD HAS COMPLETED THE CABLE RECALL BUT WILL NOT REPAIR THE RESULTING DAMAGE TO MY CAR.
LOSS OF ELECTRIC POWER STEERING ASSIST ON THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE (PSCM) DUE TO A PIGTAIL CONNECTION. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AS THE POWER STEERING COULD TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. CAR WAS NO LONGER DRIVE-ABLE.

LOUD GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM FORD HF35 CVT TRANSMISSION THAT HAD CATASTROPHIC FAILURE ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 65MPH
DURING BREAKING AT APPROX. 15-20MPH THE BREAK PEDAL BECAME VERY SOFT AND LOST MOST (90%) OF THE BREAKING POWER. THE DASH BREAKING AND STABILITY CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS FLASHED. THE ELECTRONIC EMERGENCY BREAK ENGAGED AND WOULD NOT DISENGAGE. CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO LOCAL DEALERSHIP.

TAKATA RECALL - IF THEY CAN STILL MANUFACTURE VEHICLES AND INSTALL AIRBAGS, THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO PUT THEIR ENERGIES INTO FIXING AN OUTSTANDING RECALL FIVE YEARS OLD.
MY SISTER SENT ME A RECALL NOTICE, IT WASN'T PERTAINING TO MY VEHICLE, BUT I WENT ALONG AND MADE SURE TO LOOK UP MINE ALSO. UPON REVIEWING MY INFORMATION, I WAS SOLD A VEHICLE I BELIEVE SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT THE LOT, SINCE THERE WERE RECALLS DATING FROM 2014 AND I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN 2017. I CALLED FORD THEY TOLD ME PARTS WEREN'T IN AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT, AND THAT ONE PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN YOU LIVE IN HEAVILY SALTED AREAS, I RESPONDED WITH HELLO LADY, I DO LIVE IN CT WHERE IT CONSTANTLY SNOWS. I HAVE EXPERIENCED WHY THESE WOULD BE RECALLS SO FAR SUCH AS THE DOOR LATCH AND THE RESTRAINTS, BUT WITH SUCH GRAVE RECALLS AS THESE WHY WAS IT ALLOWED TO BE SOLD OFF THE LOT WITHOUT HAVING THE RECALLS CHECKED FIRST?
THE PROBLEM I AM CURRENTLY FACING AND HAS BEEN CORRECTLY DIAGNOSED BY A FORD DEALERSHIP IS A LOOSE STEERING WHEEL ATTACHMENT BOLT. THIS PROBLEM ALREADY PERSISTS AND HAS A RECALL FOR 2014-2018 FORD FUSIONS (18S08). MY STEERING WHEEL IS VERY LOOSE AND FEELS LIKE IT CAN FALL OFF ANY MOMENT. ONE CAN EASILY TELL THAT THE STEERING WHEEL IS NOT FULLY ATTACHED TO THE REST OF THE CAR. THE PROBLEM BEGAN MONTHS AGO AND HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE OVERTIME. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD WHO NOTIFIED ME THAT SINCE MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED, THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FIX IT EVEN THOUGH I AM HAVING THE EXACT ISSUE LISTED IN RECALL 18S08.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND FILED CASE NUMBER: CAS14489150. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
