WE PURCHASED OUR 2014 FORD FUSION FROM LECKNER FORD OF KING GEORGE VA ON JUNE 20, 2017. VEHICLE DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:VIN: [XXX], MANUFACTURE DATE: 12/13/13, MANUFACTURE LOCATION: FLAT ROCK, AZ, MILEAGE: 25,300 THE HEADLINER IS SAGGING ON THE VEHICLE PARTIALLY BLOCKING THE REAR WINDOW AND HANGING DOWN ON THE DRIVER?S SIDE FRONT DOOR. ONLINE RESEARCH DETERMINED THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS INDEED AWARE OF THIS ISSUE BUT HAS NOT TAKEN ACTION TO CORRECT THE PARTS FAILURE TO DATE. NOW AWARE THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY KNOWS OF THE SAGGING HEADLINER ISSUE WITH THE 2014-2015 FORD FUSION, I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND WAS ADVISED TO OPEN A FORD CUSTOMER CARE CASE. THE SERVICE DIRECTOR AT LECKNER FORD FELT THAT OPENING A CUSTOMER CARE CASE, HAVING LOYALTY POINTS AS A REPEAT CUSTOMER AND THE VEHICLE JUST BEING OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY COULD ALL CONTRIBUTE TO A SUCCESSFUL OUTCOME WITH FORD. ON JULY 19, 2017 I CONTACTED THE FORD CUSTOMER CARE CENTER AT 800-392-3673 AND OPENED CASE REFERENCE NO: 12746787. I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE PROVIDED A RESPONSE VIA E-MAIL BY END OF DAY ON FRIDAY, JULY 20, 2017. APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES AFTER COMPLETING THE CALL WITH FORD, I RECEIVED A SOLICITATION E-MAIL ASKING IF I WANTED TO RECEIVE E-MAILS FROM FORD STATING VERBATIM ?RECENTLY, WE RECEIVED YOUR INFORMATION AND TO KEEP YOU INFORMED WE?D LIKE TO SEND YOU E-MAILS FILLED WITH NEWS ON THE LATEST TECHNOLOGIES, EVENTS, OFFERS, SERVICE COUPONS AND MORE.? ODDLY ENOUGH I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE TO MY CUSTOMER CARE CASE AS PROMISED. I CONTACTED THE CARE CENTER ON JULY 25TH AND WAS INFORMED THAT MY REQUEST WAS DENIED?PERIOD. NO EXPLANATION, NO POINT OF ESCALATION, NO OPTIONS. FORD IS BETTER THAN THIS. FORD IS AWARE THAT THIS ISSUE OCCURRED AND CONTINUES TO OCCUR IN THEIR FLAT ROCK MANUFACTURING PLANT AS CAN BE FOUND ON ANY NUMBER OF WEBSITES AVAILABLE TO CONSUMERS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO WICKSTROM FORD (LOCATED AT 600 W. NORTHWEST HWY, BARRINGTON, IL 60010) TO HAVE THE TIRES BALANCED AND ROTATED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE LUG NUTS HAD EXPANDED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT TO REMOVE THE LUG NUTS AND PERFORM THE REQUESTED SERVICE, THE LUG NUTS HAD TO BE DRILLED AND ALL LUG NUTS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CAR ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO SHUT OFF AFTER FUELING. IF I SIT AT AN IDLE IT WILL START TO RUN ROUGH. WHILE IN MOTION THERE IS A VIBRATION HUMMING SOUND COMING FROM WHERE YOU PUT THE FUEL IN. IF I PRESS THE FLAP IT RELEASES A BUILDUP OF GAS FUMES.

I TRIED ENTERING MY CAR AFTER CHURCH AND THE WINDOWS WOULD NOT GO DOWN, RADIO WOULD NOT TURN ON, LOCKS WOULD NOT WORK (CAR WAS JUST UNLOCKED EVEN THOUGH I USED MY KEY PRIOR TO LOCK IT), AND THE AIR/HEAT CONTROLS WOULD NOT WORK. THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS IN MICHIGAN HAVE BEEN QUITE HOT BUT THIS DAY IT WAS CLOSE TO 93 DEGREES AND IT FELT LIKE A SAUNA IN MY CAR. I HAVE TWO YOUNG KIDS THAT I TRANSPORT IN MY CAR AND WITH THE HOT WEATHER AND NO ABILITY FOR WINDOWS TO GO DOWN OR AIR TO BE TURNED ON WE COULD BASICALLY SUFFOCATE. I EVEN WAITED UNTIL THE NEXT DAY (06/12/2017) AND THE CAR ISSUES ARE STILL PRESENT: LOCKS NOT WORKING, WINDOWS NOT WORKING, RADIO NOT WORKING, AIR NOT WORKING, AND ALL DASH CONTROLS NOT WORKING, AND TODAY MY KEY CONTROLS (LOCK, UNLOCK, AND ALARM) WOULD NOT WORK. EVEN WHEN I STARTED THE CAR THIS MORNING TO TAKE THE KIDS TO SCHOOL NOTHING WORKED SO WE WERE IN A HOT CAR FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES TO GET THEM TO SCHOOL BEFORE THE REAL HOT WEATHER STARTS.
THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LATCH FAILED, CAUSING THE DOOR TO OPEN WHILE DRIVING ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET. THIS HAPPENED ONLY 3 MONTHS AFTER THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LATCH ALSO FAILED. MY 2014 FORD FUSION IS NOT CURRENTLY INCLUDED IN THE ALREADY EXISTING RECALL OF THE FAULTY DOOR LATCHES. FORD WILL NOT REIMBURSE OR COVER THE EXPENSES TO HAVE EITHER DOOR LATCH FIXED. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE FOR ME, MY WIFE, AND DAUGHTER.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR FAILED TO LATCH AND PREVENTED THE DOOR FROM REMAINING CLOSED. THE DOOR WAS HELD CLOSED BY A BUNGEE CORD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (BRADLEY FORD LINCOLN LOCATED AT 1690 INDUSTRIAL BLVD, LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA, 86403)WHO STATED THAT THEY HAD THE PARTS AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT THE FOLLOWING WEEK. WHEN THE CONTACT ARRIVED FOR THE APPOINTMENT, HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL REMEDY PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER FOR SIX MONTHS TO A YEAR, AND THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT HIM WHEN PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE WHERE A SCAN TOOL WAS USED TO DIAGNOSE THE ENGINE, WHICH GENERATED A P1450 CODE. THE CODE WAS RESET AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, AFTER FUELING THE FUEL TANK AND ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE, THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED EACH TIME FUEL WAS PLACED IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE FORD MURFREESBORO DEALER IN TENNESSEE WHERE AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V793000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

POWER STEERING LOSS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY.

THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL OUTSTANDING SINCE LAST YEAR (RECALL 15S16- DOOR LATCH REPLACEMENT, NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V246000). I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL FORD DEALERS AND THEY ALL TELL ME THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I DO NOT WANT TO WAIT FOR A FIX FOR SUCH A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DEFECT.
HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM NEAR THE GAS TANK, SOUNDS LIKE A GOOGLING OR FUNNY NOISE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR SPUTTERS AND CUTS OFF. ALL THE NOISE WAS BEING MADE WHILE DRIVING IT DIDN'T STOP UNTIL I PUT THE CAR IN PARK
LUG NUTS ON BOTH REAR TIRES ARE COMING OFF WHILE DRIVING. O N MAY 10TH IT HAPPENED AND I MANAGED TO TIGHTEN THEM AND MAKE IT HOME. ON MAY 22ND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. MY 12 YEAR OLD SON WAS WITH ME AND I KEPT FEELING LIKE MY TIRES WERE OFF AS I TRIED TO STOP AND CHECK IT OUT I LOST CONTROL AND RAN OFF INTO A DITCH AND CRASHED INTO A FENCE. I CALLED POLICE AND SPENT 3 HOURS. THE ONLY WAY TO LOAD VEHICLE WAS TO TIGHTEN THE LUG NUTS FROM PREVENTING MORE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. I AM VERY UPSET HIS HAPPENED. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT WOULD CAUSE ALL LUG NUTS TO COME LOOSE FOR NO REASON NOT ONLY ONCE BUT TWICE AND CAUSE THIS TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE. I DO NOT EVEN WANT THIS CAR ANYMORE I AM TERRIFIEDTO GET IN IT EVEN IF IT WAS FIXED. MY SON DOESNT EVEN WANT TO RIDE IN ANOTHER VEHICLE AGAIN.
TOOK MY CAR OUT OF TOWN DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS ON THE WAY, SMOOTH RIDE. THE NEXT DAY I NOTICED MY A/C WENT OUT IN MY CAR AND WAS BLOWING HOT AIR, I THOUGHT I JUST NEEDED TO RECHARGE MY AIR. ONCE WE POPPED THE HOOD TO RECHARGE WE NOTICED SOMETHING TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF MY HOOD BENEATH ONE OF THE BELTS. TURNED OUT THE BOLT HOLDING THE A/C CLUTCH PLATE VIBRATED OFF RESULTING IN MY CLUTCH PLATE TO LAND ON THE BOTTOM OF THE HOOD.
I PICKED MY DAUGHTER UP AND STARTED THE CAR. THE RADIO WAS BLASTING. I COULDN'T TURN IT DOWN. THE AIR CONDITIONER WOULDN'T COME ON. THERE WAS A MESSAGE ON THE DISPLAY PANEL WARNING OF "TEMPORARILY LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE CLIMATE SYSTEM". WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, THE AIR CONDITIONING STOPS WORKING, THE WINDOWS WILL NOT ROLL DOWN, THE TOUCH SCREEN DOES NOT WORK, AND THE RADIO CANNOT BE ADJUSTED. LOCKS ON DOORS ARE ALSO FROZEN. SEATS WILL NOT ADJUST. WE ARE BASICALLY TRAPPED INSIDE THE CAR WITH NO AIR. IT WAS 95 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND THERE WAS NO AIR FLOW. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. BOTH MY KIDS WERE WITH ME. THIS HAPPENS WHEN CAR WAS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALER FOR MAINTENANCE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE WHEEL LUG NUTS WERE FAULTY AND HAD EXPANDED AND ENLARGED. THE WRENCH PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NO LONGER FIT OVER THE LUG NUTS TO TIGHTEN AND SECURE THE WHEELS TO THE VEHICLE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
THE PASSENGER SEAT STARTED SMOKING FOR NO APPARENT REASON I PUT A PAPER TOWEL OVER THIS TO STOP IT FROM SPREADING. IT BURNED A HOLE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND LEFT TWO BROWN HASH MARKS - ALMOST LIKE IT WOULD HAVE SPREAD TO COILS. THE CAR WAS IN STATIONARY POSITION AND THE ENGINE WAS OFF. IT WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY ON RUNNYMEADE DRIVE IN MARIETTA, GA.
2014 FORD FUSION SE, THE TRUNK WILL OPEN ITS' OWN, USUALLY WHEN I UNLOCK THE VEHICLE VIA THE INTEGRATED KEYPAD AND, OCCASIONALLY WHEN USING THE KEY FOB REMOTE. THE VEHICLE HAS ALSO POPPED THE TRUNK WHILE UNATTENDED, WHILE NO EFFORT TO UNLOCK THE TRUNK WAS BEING MADE, BY ANY MEANS. THIS MEANS THAT THE VEHICLE IS RENDERED UNSECURED, BY ITS' OWN DEFECT.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A CITY STREET AND THE STEERING COLUMN FELT VERY LOOSE. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT OR BUMP IN THE ROAD, JUST AN IMMEDIATE LOOSENING OF THE STEERING WHEEL. I WAS STILL ABLE TO DRIVE AND TURN THE VEHICLE SO I TOOK IT TO D PATRICK FORD IN EVANSVILLE, IN. THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON 3 BOLTS RECALL#15R01 WHICH THEY REPLACED FOR FREE, BUT THEN CHARGED ME $848 TO REPLACE THE STEERING COLUMN SHAFT AS THEY SAID IT WAS WORN. I QUESTIONED THE RECALL ON THE BOLTS BEING THE CAUSE OF THE STEERING COLUMN ISSUE AND THEY SAID NO IT HAD TO HAVE BEEN FROM ME USING THE STEERING WHEEL TO GET UP OUT OF THE CAR. I DO NOT EVER RECALL USING THE STEERING WHEEL TO GET OUT OF THE CAR, IT HAD 95,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME AND I WAS THE SECOND OWNER. THE FIRST OWNER PUT 18K MILES ON IT AND THERE WAS NEVER A CAR ACCIDENT.
I WENT OUT TO START MY VEHICLE AND GOT WARNING LIGHTS, STEERING ASSIST NEEDS ATTENTION, HILL START ASSIST NEEDS ATTENTION. SERVICE VEHICLE. I HAD NO POWER STEERING AT THIS POINT AND HAD TO TOW THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. JUST OUT OF WARRANTY AT 37K MILES. THE STEERING GEAR HAD TO BE REPLACED. THIS SOUNDS VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN THE FORD FUSION MODELS WHICH HAD A RECALL, BUT NO RECALL ON THE HYBRIDS! I'M THANKFUL IT HAPPENED IN MY DRIVEWAY AND NOT ON THE HIGHWAY.
UPON REGULAR CLOSING OF REAR PASSENGER DOOR, IT WILL NOT LATCH, THEREFORE CAN NOT BE SHUT. THE CAR CANNOT BE DRIVEN IN THIS CONDITION, AS THE DOOR WILL NECESSARILY BE OPEN AT ALL TIMES.
I RECEIVED NOTICE OF A RECALL IN NOVEMBER 2016 INVOLVING MY SEATBELTS BEING UNABLE TO PROPERLY RESTRAIN ME DURING AN ACCIDENT. IT IS STILL NOTATED THAT FORD HASN'T FOUND A REMEDY TO THE PROBLEM. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN PATIENT CONSIDERING MY LIFE MAY BE ON THE LINE OVER THIS BUT I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING TO BE DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. CONSIDERING I DRIVE APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES PER DAY ON A COMMUTE TO WORK, I WOULD LIKE TO FEEL SAFE DOING IT AND KNOWING THAT MY SEATBELT MAY NOT RESTRAIN ME IS A HUGE PROBLEM. CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO WHY THEY AREN'T FIXING THIS MAJOR ISSUE IN A TIMELY MANNER. THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENT TO DATE BUT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT MY SAFETY IF ONE WAS TO OCCUR.
CAR REPEATEDLY OVER A PERIOD OF 18+ MONTHS EXPERIENCES INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL FAILURE THAT RESULTS IN WINDOWS, LOCKS, RADIO, FANS, DASH LIGHTS TO STOP WORKING. THERE IS NO PATTERN TO THE FAILURES. I HAVE BEEN STUCK IN 90 DEGREE WEATHER ON THE HIGHWAY UNABLE TO EVEN ROLL DOWN A WINDOW AND NO MOVING AIR DUE TO FANS BEING OUT. CAR HAS BEEN IN TO 2 DIFFERENT FORD DEALERSHIPS AND KEPT THERE FOR WEEKS AT A TIME WITH NO RESOLUTION.

The Climate Control Computer fails to stay on recirculation mode when heating causing driver to press every 15 minutes while driving putting driver and other drivers at risk because of having to look off road while pressing. Ultimate Ford dealership has inspected and attempted to repair the problem but did not during the warranty period. The dealership has barred me from having service completed in the local area within a one-hour drive from my home from merely the fact that they could not repair the problem. Now, several recalls which are not safe on my car cannot be repaired because of their immature behavior. There was no warning about this problem beforehand. No receipts but letter to Ford attached.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SYNC MY RIDE SYSTEM IN THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN ILLEGALLY HACKED AND CAUSED THE TRACTION CONTROL AND TRANSMISSION TO MALFUNCTION. ALSO, THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. I HAVE CALLED TWO LOCAL DEALERS MULTIPLE TIMES DATING BACK TO APRIL (WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR) TO HAVE THE RECALL FIXES PERFORMED, AND CONTINUE TO BE TOLD THE PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I HAVE ALSO CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER (FORD) ONLINE AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT WITH A LOCAL DEALER.
LOST ABILITY TO STEER THE FUSION WHILE DRIVING. TOOK GREAT EFFORT TO KEEP ON THE ROAD AND STEER SAFELY. TOOK TO FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD NEW STEERING GEAR WAS NECESSARY AND THAT WOULD COST $1600. CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO START A CASE AND THEN TOLD TO CALL DEALERSHIP BACK. THEY DID NOTHING TO ASSIST. CALLS TO FORD REGIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE WERE NOT RETURNED. RECALLS ABOUT CORRODED BOLTS AND SOFTWARE REPROGRAMMING ARE NOT FIXING THE FUNDAMENTAL FLAW. THE CASE THAT IS UNDER LITIGATION IN CALIFORNIA IS EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR. THE EPAS FAILED DUE TO A DESIGN FLAW AND FORD WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE IT NOR PAY FOR THE REPAIR. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE NOW BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE FORD IS WITHHOLDING.

I CONTACT FORD MOTORS TO GET A TIMELINE AND WAS ADVISED BY A REPRESENTATIVE THAT FORD IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON THE RECALL AND DOESN'T HAVE ANY UPDATES. I STATED MY DISAPPOINTMENT AND CONCERNS WITH FORD MOTORS. I ALSO STRESS THAT MY FAMILY SAFETY IS BEING COMPROMISE BY RIDING IN AN UNSAFE CAR. SHE STATED TO ME 'THAT FORD CANNOT HELP ME WITH A HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION. FORD DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF ITS DRIVERS.

I HAVE A BROKEN PAWL SPRING IN MY BACK RIGHT DOOR WHICH STOPS MY DOOR FROM LATCHING CLOSED, THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL ON THAT PART BUT FORD REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE MY CLAIM AND HANGS UP ON ME WHEN ASKED.

I PULLED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND DECIDED TO CHECK MY MAIL. I DROVE UP ONTO THE CURB TO ACCESS MY MAILBOX. AS I WAS ABOUT TO PULL AWAY A VEHICLE APPROACHED CAUSING ME TO SUDDENLY STOP AS THE WHEEL WAS DESCENDING THE CURB. WARNING LIGHTS FLASHED & BELLS SOUNDED. I RECEIVED MESSAGES THAT MY ADVANCETRAC HAD FAILED & THAT THE HILLSIDE ASSIST HAD FAILED. I NOW HAVE 2 WARNING LIGHTS STILL ILLUMINATED ON MY DASH REGARDING TRACTION CONTROL. THE POWER STEERING IS NOT LONGER FUNCTIONAL. I CHECKED THINGS OUT SUPERFICIALLY AND SAW NO FLUID LEAKS, NO PARTS HANGING OFF, AND NO OBVIOUS SIGNS OF PROBLEMS.
I CAN HEAR "WATER" SLOSHING WHEN STARTING, STOPPING AND TURNING CORNER. WHEN I SLOW DOWN THE HEATER BLOWER COOLS. WHEN I STOP, THE DRIVERS SIDE COOLS MORE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE IS LIKE HAVING VENTS OPEN IN WINTER. THERE ARE NOT DUAL AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROLS. THE RADIATOR FLUID IS COMPLETELY FULL.
