ON TUESDAY (JULY 2ND) MORNING I BACKED MY CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE AND INTO THE RESIDENTIAL STREET. I STOPPED APPROX. 4-5 FEET PAST MY MAILBOX - ENOUGH FOR MY CAR DOOR TO CLEAR - TO GET MY MAIL. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, GOT OUT OF THE CAR, OPENED THE MAILBOX AND WAS GETTING THE MAIL WHEN THE CAR HIT ME AND KNOCKED ME DOWN. IT WAS MOVING IN REVERSE. THE RESIDENTIAL STREET IS PRETTY LEVEL. I GOT UP AND TRIED TO CATCH IT BUT IT PICKED UP SPEED AND THEN KNOCKED ME DOWN AGAIN. I DID NOT REALIZE IT AT THE TIME BUT I HAD ALREADY BROKEN MY RIGHT ELBOW IN THE FIRST FALL. THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE UNTIL IT RAN INTO AND DESTROYED A NEIGHBOR'S MAILBOX AND WAS STOPPED. MY RIGHT ELBOW SUSTAINED A SECOND BREAK WHICH REQUIRED REPAIR WITH A PLATE/SCREWS/WIRES AND I WAS TOLD I WILL NEVER REGAIN PRE-ACCIDENT USAGE OF MY PREDOMINANT HAND AND ARM. I HAD SEVERAL LARGE CONTUSIONS ON MY FACE WHICH ARE STILL PRESENT A WEEK LATER. I HAVE A PLATE-SIZED BLACK BRUISE ON MY INNER RIGHT THIGH. MY LEFT LEG IS HEAVILY BRUISED WITH A LARGE WOUND AND THE INNER AND OUTER SIDES OF MY LEFT FOOT ARE BLACK WITH BRUISING. I HAVE BRUISING AND SCRAPES AND CUTS IN MULTIPLE PLACES. I BELIEVE THE CAR SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR. IF I HAD NOT PUT IT IN PARK, IT WOULD HAVE STARTED ROLLING IMMEDIATELY AS I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND GOT OUT OF IT. INSTEAD IT HIT ME COMPLETELY UNEXPECTEDLY. I SPENT ALMOST 3 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL. I AM GOING TO HAVE THE CAR INSPECTED AND LOOKED AT. THERE IS A CURRENT FORD RECALL FOR THIS GEAR ISSUE FOR CARS FROM THE SAME FACTORY MINE CAME FROM AND THE ASSEMBLY YEAR. MY CAR HAS NOT BEEN INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AS OF YET BUT I BELIEVE THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED.
DOOR LATCH DOES NOT WORK. REAR PASSENGER SIDE. DOOR OPENS DURING CAR OPERATION.
I AM INFORMED BY FORD, THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THEM TO REPAIR THE PARTS? THE CAR STEERS INCORRECTLY, PULLS TO THE SIDE. WAS HAPPENING ON HIGHWAY AS WELL AS CITY DRIVING, AND I-95
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO VAUGHN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP LOCATED AT (1913 HIGHWAY 165 NORTH, OAKDALE, LA 71463, (318)491-4368) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT COOLANT LEAKED INTO THE ENGINE OIL AND THE SEALS WHICH CAUSED A MISFIRE IN THE ENGINE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE SEALS WOULD EVENTUALLY DETERIORATE CAUSING THE ENTIRE ENGINE TO FAIL. THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED A CASE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
A SITUATION THAT I ENCOUNTERED WITH MY 2016 FUSION WHEN IT HAD 55K MILES ON IT WAS THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE A ROUGH IDLE ON STARTUPS AND WOULD HAVE A ROUGH IDLE WHEN IT WAS STOPPED (EX. ON A STOP SIGN, RED LIGHT, PARKED, ETC.). IT DID HAVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON WHEN THESE ISSUES OCCURRED AND SO I TOOK IT TO A SHOP TO GET THE CODES CHECKED OUT AND IT DESCRIBED HAVING A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER TWO. THE SHOP RECOMMENDED ME TO TAKE IT TO THE FORD DEALER FOR A MORE THOROUGH INSPECTION. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO VISIT THE SHOP A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER BUT IN BETWEEN THOSE DAYS I NOTICED THICK WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST. THE ROUGH IDLING STILL PERSISTED AND I TOOK IT IMMEDIATELY TO THE FORD DEALER. AFTER TALKING WITH THE STAFF ABOUT MY ISSUE, THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTICS TO FIND OUT COOLANT WAS LEAKING INTO THE CYLINDERS AND CAUSING THE ROUGH IDLE AND THE WHITE SMOKE. I DID GET THE ENGINE BLOCK REPLACED BUT WHAT'S NOT TO SAY THAT THIS ISSUE CAN OCCUR AGAIN. ANOTHER THING I NOTICED WHEN THIS ISSUE OCCURRED WAS WHEN YOU TRIED TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD ACCELERATE SECONDS AFTER YOU PUSHED ON THE PEDAL. THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS FOR ME AT TIMES AND I FELT INSECURE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. I KNOW MANY OTHER FUSION OWNERS HAVE ENCOUNTERED SIMILAR SITUATIONS AND IT SEEMS IRRESPONSIBLE FOR FORD TO IGNORE THIS AND PRETEND THAT EVERYTHING IS FINE.
WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PULL OFF AFTER STARTING MY CAR (VEHICLE STATIONARY). THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD READ PARK ON THE DASH AND THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT CHANGE REGARDLESS OF ME MOVING IT. AFTER CALLING MY MECHANIC THE INSPECTION SHOWED THE BUSHING CAME OFF. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD A FEW DAYS BEFORE ABOUT THE POTENTIAL WARNING OF THE BUSHING POSSIBLY DETERIORATING. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH MULTIPLE FORD REPS AND HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET AN APPOINTMENT AFTER BEING TOLD THAT WITH MY CAR BEING EFFECTED NOW, MY PROCESS OF BEING SEEN WOULD BE EXPEDITED. I WAS ALSO TOLD ABOUT HAVING RECEIVED COMPENSATION FOR A RENTAL OR LOANER CAR WHILE MY CAR IS UNABLE TO DRIVE. I THINK FORD IS GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND UNTIL THEY CAN FIND A SOLUTION BUT THAT DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT I HAVE BEEN EFFECTED TODAY. RICHMOND FORD LINCOLN REFUSED TO SERVICE ME AND TAKE MY CASE NUMBER WHILE BELITTLING CORPORATE THE ENTIRE WAY. I ALSO RECEIVED THE INCORRECT NAME FROM ONE EMPLOYEE. THIS RECALL PROCESS HAS BEEN EXCRUCIATING AND AS A FORD CONSUMER THIS BEING MY SECOND FORD. I AM DEBATING IF THE COMPANY EVEN VALUES ME, I DEFINITELY CAN'T TELL AFTER CONTINUALLY ASKING FOR AN UPDATE. THE LAST REPRESENTATIVE I SPOKE WITH SAID IT ISN'T HIS DEPARTMENT AND SOMEONE WOULD REACH OUT TO ME. HE SAID THAT THE DAY BEFORE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT MY NEXT STEPS ARE BUT FORD IS NOT ASSISTING DURING THIS RECALL SITUATION.
ATTEMPTED TO START VEHICLE, WOULD NOT START. REMOVED TRIM AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A WIRING ISSUE FROM THE BATTERY JUNCTION BOX (BJB) TO THE STARTER. FOUND WIRING AND CONNECTOR CORRODED. TECHNICIAN HAD TO CLEAN CONNECTOR, REPAIR/REPLACE WIRE, APPLY DI-ELECTRIC GREASE. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT TIME ISSUE WAS DISCOVERED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD AN ABNORMAL SMOKE ODOR. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE ENGINE, IT REVVED. LAST WEEK, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, AN ABNORMAL POPPING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND A SMOKE ODOR WAS PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DIAGNOSED, BUT NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED YESTERDAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 800.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND MY ENGINE LOST POWER. MY CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I COULD NOT EVEN GO THE SPEED LIMIT. THE DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY. FORD WAS CHANGING THESE OUT THROUGH THEIR OWN RECALL BUT THAT ENDED YEARS AGO. THIS PROBLEM IS VERY POPULAR OVER THE FORD MODELS AND COULD WIND UP KILLING SOMEBODY WHEN THE ENGINE CUTS OUT. FORD IS NOT STANDING BEHIND THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS AND I FEEL THE NHTSA NEEDS TO STEP IN AND MAKE THIS A MANDATORY RECALL. SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE FROM THIS AND IT IS ALL ACROSS ALL THEIR MAKES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V416000 (WHEELS), BUT THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED ROMANO FORD (5431 N BURDICK ST, FAYETTEVILLE, NY 13066, (315) 637-4491) AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT, BUT THE PART NEEDED WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE BRAKES MADE A SQUEAKING NOISE AND WERE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT SHE WOULD RECEIVE ANOTHER LETTER WHEN THE RECALL PART BECAME AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,200. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHEN I GOT HOME FROM PICKING MY FRIEND'S DAUGHTER UP FROM SCHOOL YESTERDAY, I PULLED INTO THE GARAGE AND TRIED TO PLACE MY VEHICLE IN PARK. AS MY SHIFTER WENT PAST REVERSE IT TURNED ON THE BACK UP CAMERA ON AND STAYED IN REVERSE EVEN THOUGH MY SHIFTER WAS IN PARK. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, I COULDN'T LET OFF THE BRAKE BECAUSE IT CONTINUED TO BACK UP WHEN I DID, SO I PUT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. THIS COULD HAVE ENDED A LOT WORSE. IF IT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED WHILE I WAS PICKING MY FRIEND'S DAUGHTER UP FROM SCHOOL, THERE WERE KIDS EVERYWHERE AND I MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STOP MY VEHICLE. MY CAR IS A 2016 FORD FUSION TITANIUM, FORD ISSUED A RECALL NUMBERED 18S20 FOR SHIFTER CABLE BUSHINGS GOING BAD IN FORD FUSIONS BETWEEN 2013 AND 2016. I CALLED FORD BUT APPARENTLY MY CARS VIN DOESN'T QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH THE EXACT ISSUE THAT THEY ISSUED THE RECALL FOR, HAPPENED TO MY CAR AND MY CAR IS BETWEEN THOSE YEARS LISTED. THE SHIFTER CABLE CAME OFF AND DIDN'T ALLOW MY CAR TO GO INTO PARK. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY WHEN THIS OCCURRED.
WHEN DRIVING ON CITY STREETS, THE FORD FUSION JERKS HARD AND SPUTTERS WHEN IT CHANGES GEARS (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION). WHEN ACCELERATING ON THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE WILL JERK HARD UPON PRESSING DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL. DURING DECELERATION, WHEN EXITING THE HIGHWAY, FROM SPEEDS OF 70 MPH TO 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE WILL ALSO SPUTTER AND JERK FROM THE GEARS CHANGING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN TO A FORD MOTOR COMPANY SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND NO REPAIRS WERE CONDUCTED DUE TO AN "INABILITY OF THE TECHNICIAN TO REPLICATE THE SYMPTOMS OF THE CAR."
COOLANT LEAKS INTO ENGINE INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING THE CAR SHOOK AND VIBRATED. SPEEDEE MECHANIC FOUND THE ISSUE AND TOLD ME TAKE IT TO FORD AS IT IS THE SAME ISSUE AS FORD RECALLS ON FUSION, AND COULD CAUSE A FIRE. TOOK IT FORD, FIRST THEY SAID NO COOLANT LEAK. A WEEK LATER I TOOK IT BACK THEN THEY SAID YES COOLANT IS LEAKING INTO ENGINE AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR A NEW ENGINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE FRACTURED WHILE DRIVING AND THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT NOTICED WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE FRONT END AND COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE, WHICH THEN CAUGHT FIRE AND EXPLODED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 72,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION. AFTER EXITING THE VEHICLE AND PLACING THE GEAR SHIFTER INTO PARK, THE VEHICLE ROLLED FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LONGMONT FORD (LOCATED AT 235 ALPINE ST, LONGMONT, CO 80501, (720) 771-6003), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTER CABLE DETACHED FROM THE GEAR SHIFTER LEVER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V362000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
MY BUSHING WENT OUT IN MY TRANSMISSION SHIFTER CABLE BUT THE PART HASN'T BEEN MANUFACTURED YET BY THE COMPANY..I CALLED THE COMPANY WHAT AM I TO DO ABOUT TRANPORTATION
THE BUSHING IN MY TRANSMISSION SHIFTER HAS GONE OUT I'VE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP BUT THE PART HASN'T BEEN MANUFACTURED YET.I RECEIVED THE RECALL LETTER IN MAY WHAT AM SUPPOSE TO DO ABOUT TRANSPORTATION BACK AND FIRTH TO WORK AND MY DAILY LIFE..CAN SOMEBODY LET ME KNOW WHEN THE PART WILL BE MADE
MY CAR HAS APPARENTLY BEEN UNDER A RECALL FROM FORD REGARDING THE STEERING WHEEL SINCE MARCH OF 2018. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO CRAIN FORD TO BE SERVICED MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE 2018 AND WAS NEVER TOLD ABOUT THE RECALL. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO CRAIN ON THURSDAY NIGHT AFTER AN ISSUE WITH THE GEAR SHIFT. UPON DOING SOME RESEARCH ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE ON FRIDAY, I FOUND THAT MY CAR IS NOW UNDER 2 DIFFERENT RECALLS. I WAS TOLD FRIDAY THAT MY CAR WOULD BE SERVICED FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING AND I WOULD BE CALLED AND UPDATED ON THE SITUATION. I ALSO WAS NOT OFFERED A LOANER CAR, AND UPON ASKING IF I COULD OBTAIN ONE, WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE COMPLETELY OUT. I HAVE SINCE HAD TO CALL THEM TWICE THIS MORNING, AND WAS PUT ON HOLD IN THE EXCESS OF 10 MINUTES EACH TIME. I AM CURRENTLY WAITING ON A CALL BACK TO DETERMINE WHAT TIME I WILL BE ABLE TO GO PICK UP MY CAR, IF I CAN AT ALL, TODAY. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A VEHICLE ALL WEEKEND. I AM CURRENTLY HAVING TO MISS WORK BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION TO GET THERE. I AM VERY UNSATISFIED WITH FORD, AND CRAIN FORD OF LITTLE ROCK.
TAKATA RECALL, WHEN STATIONARY AND SHIFTING FROM PARK TO DRIVE IT IS VERY HARSH AND GRINDS (IT SOUNDS LIKE METAL ON METAL),, THEN FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE IT GRINDS EVEN MORE.
WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK TO 1ST GEAR HAS A HESITATION AND SHAKES THE WHOLE CAR WHILE THIS IS A BIG CONCERN I TOOK IT TO 3 DIFFERENT FORD DEALERS AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO FIX OR IT WAS NORMAL OR THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED I HAVE NOW BEEN STUCK WITH THIS VEHICLE THAT IS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY AND NOTHING I CAN DO WITH IT CAUSE FORD WON'T FIX THIS PROBLEM

AFTER LEAVING THE OFFICE AND WALKING TO THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HEARD MUSIC PLAYING IN THE VEHICLE EVEN THOUGH THE KEYS WERE ON HER PERSON AND THE VEHICLE WAS STILL LOCKED. ADDITIONALLY, ON OCCASION, THE AIR CONDITIONER, LIGHTING, AND RADIO WOULD ACTIVATE INDEPENDENTLY WITH THE IGNITION IN THE OFF POSITION AND THE DOORS LOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KOONS FORD OF BALTIMORE (LOCATED AT 6970 SECURITY BLVD, WINDSOR MILL, MD 21244, (410) 298-3800) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO SEVERE BATTERY DRAINAGE. ALSO, THE WATER PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE BATTERY AND WATER PUMP WERE REPLACED, AND THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE WAS UPDATED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURES RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,084. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
CENTER CONSOLE BECOMES NON-RESPONSIVE WITH BUTTONS. A/C LOSSES CONNECTION AND WINDOWS GET LOCKED INTO POSITION AS WELL AS POWER SEATS. HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. MORE COMMON WHEN IT GETS REALLY HOT OUT.
I bought my 2016 Fusion two years ago with 75,000 Miles on the odometer. The first day it went into fail safe mode while in the passing lane. I had no engine power and had to pull over in traffic. Code P2111 Throttle body stuck open. I cleaned the throttle body and maf sensor with a $10 two pack of spray cleaner. My car now with 110,000 miles just did the same thing yesterday 5/17/21 while in traffic code P2111. I cleaned the throttle body again even though it didn't look dirty compared to the first time. My car shut down three times today while in traffic. Each time I had to pull over with no power shut off the car and restart the engine. I will replace the throttle body but believe this is very serious defect and should have never happened at 75,000 miles or even at 110,000. Very dangerous and scary to drive far from home knowing how much it would cost to be towed and have to pay a shop to repair. 'TAKATA RECALL' I WAS DRIVING TO A FRIENDS HOUSE AND AS I WAS PULLING IN THEIR DRIVEWAY TO PARK. I PUSH MY GEAR TO PARK BUT MY CAR GOES IN REVERSE GEAR WHEN I PUT IT IN TO PARK GEAR AND SO I TRIED TO MOVE MY GEAR SHIFT TO THE GEAR I WANTED BUT IT WOULDN'T MOVE ANY MORE. SO I CUT MY CAR OFF AND WHEN I CUT IT OFF IT KEPT ROLLING FORWARD SO I JUST PULLED MY EMERGENCY BRAKE AND LEFT IT AS IS.
ON MONDAY AFTER I STARTED THE ENGINE TRYING TO DRIVE THE CAR THE SHIFTER GETTING OUT OF CONTROL AND THE COULDN'T MOVE.
FORD FUSION SHIFTER CABLE RECALL: MY FAMILY AND I WERE ALMOST IN A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT ON 6/3/19 DUE TO THIS RECALL THAT I HAD NO CLUE ABOUT. I WAS REVERSING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT IN A BUSY SHOPPING STRIP AND MY CAR WOULDN'T SHIFT TO DRIVE. IT APPEARED TO SHIFT, I COULD MOVE THE GEAR BUT IT ACTUALLY DIDN'T SHIFT. IT KEPT REVERSING AND I ALMOST BACKED UP INTO A CAR. I IMMEDIATELY SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AND ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT GEARS AND NOTHING. I TRIED TO PUT IT IN PARK BUT NOTHING WORKED, IT KEPT REVERSING AND I ALMOST HIT A PEDESTRIAN. I SLAMMED ON MY BRAKES AGAIN, TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND REMOVED THE KEYS. ONCE I REMOVED THE KEYS, I SHIFTED THE GEAR INTO PARK BUT MY CAR WAS STILL ROLLING BACKWARDS, NOT AS FAST BUT STILL ROLLING. MY HUSBAND AND MY 10 YEAR OLD SON HAD TO PUSH MY CAR INTO A SAFE AREA OF THE PARKING LOT. I IMMEDIATELY PUT THE EMERGENCY BRAKES ON AND GOT OUT. I THANK GOD ME NOR MY FAMILY OR A BYSTANDER WAS HURT OR INJURED DUE TO THIS ISSUE. THIS IS HORRIFIC. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY WARRANTY COMPANY, THEY ARRANGED FOR MY CAR TO BE TOWED TO THE NEAREST AUTO REPAIR SHOP. I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL ON 6/5/19 AND WAS SO SHOCKED AND COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. I CONTACTED PLANET FORD IN HUMBLE, TX AND THEY ARRANGED TO TOW MY CAR FROM THE AUTO REPAIR TO THEM. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT PLANET FORD AND THEY ARE STATING THEY DON'T HAVE AN ACTUAL FIX YET AND THAT THEY CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY FIX WHICH I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET $700 SOMETHING. I ASKED MULTIPLE TIMES FOR A LOANER AND THEIR RESPONSE IS "FORD WILL NOT COVER IT". I HAVE CONTACTED FORD CORPORATION 4 TIMES AND THEY'VE BEEN NO HELP AT ALL, EACH AGENT TELLS ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT. THEY ARE BLAMING THE DEALER AND THE DEALER IS BLAMING THEM. I HAVE MISSED WORK SINCE 6/4/19 AND HAVE A LOSS OF INCOME DUE TO THIS. When you put it in Reverse you have to pause. If your foot is on the gas is slams into reverse and makes a terrible sound and gives you a jolt! My girlfriend has the same exact car and hers did this as well. But there was a recall on her car and she had it fixed. MY GEAR SHIFT KNOB WOULD NOT SLIDE INTO THE CORRECT GEAR...IT WOULD BE IN PARK PLACEMENT, YET STILL IN DRIVE OR VICE VERSA..IT WOULD BE IN REVERSE BUT ACTUALLY IN NUETRAL...THIS HAS BEEN LISTED AS A RECALL SINCE MAY 13, 2019 AND FORD STILL HAS NOT COME UP WITH A REMEDY OR A FIX...ITS A BUSHING THAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED OUT...
WHILE IN MOTION (65 MPH) THE VEHICLES ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY FAILED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ENTER AN EMERGENCY MODE IN WHICH THE RPMS WERE FIXED AT APPROXIMATELY 1.2K. THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE WAS LOST COMPLETELY AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE COASTED OFF OF THE HIGHWAY. AN IMMEDIATE RESTART OF THE ENGINE DID NOT REMEDY THE ISSUE, BUT AFTER LEAVING THE VEHICLE OFF FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED, ALLOWING FOR FULL USE OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER THE INCIDENT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY HAD "FAILED" AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I KNOW THAT FORD HAS HAD AN ISSUE ON OLDER YEAR THROTTLE BODIES AND THAT A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THOSE. I AM HOPING THAT THESE NEWER VEHICLES WILL BE LOOKED AT, AND IF THE ISSUE IS STILL PREVALENT THE RECALL CHANGED TO INCLUDE THEM.

TOOK CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AT THE SERVICES DEPARTMENT AFTER HEARING THE HORN LOUD BLARING(SD) DECIDED TO DISABLE IT UNTIL THEY CHECKED THE PROBLEM. THE DIAGNOSTIC REVELED A FAULTY ELECTRICAL WIRING AFFECTING THE IGNITION AND AIR BAG. BEEN HAVING THIS ISSUE TWO WEEKS BEFORE MEMORIAL WEEKEND MAY 2019, ISSUE OCCURRING UP TO THIS MOMENT.
