CAR HAS ISSUES WHEN ACCELERATING CAR SPUTTERS AND SHIFTS WHILE DRIVING ALSO WHEN PARKED IF PUT IN REVERSE GIVES HARD JERK INTO GEAR WHEN I LOOKED UP SHOWS TRANSMISSION ISSUES WHERE COMMON IN THIS MODEL OF VEHICLE.
WHEN VEHICLE WAS IN PARK WHILE CAR RUNNING, DRIVER OPENED THE DOOR AND WAS TOSSED OUT OF THE VEHICLE. CAR SUDDENLY DIS-ENGAGED FROM PARK AND ACCELERATED BACKWARDS CRASHING INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. WHEN DRIVER RETURNED TO VEHICLE THE CAR WAS IN PARK.
REGARDING MANUFACTURER'S RECALL NUMBER 18S08 (STEERING WHEEL SEPARATES FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. I CALLED THE LOCAL FORD DEALER IN LYNBROOK, NY TO HAVE THE SAFETY REPAIR AND WAS INFORMED ON 3/21 THAT FORD HAD NOT SENT THE PARTS AND THAT THEY WERE NOT EXPECTED FOR "MONTHS." I THEN CALLED FORD'S NATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SAFETY ISSUE. I WAS TOLD A LETTER WOULD BE SENT AFTER APRIL 30TH ABOUT WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THIS IS NOT A TIMELY MANNER TO CORRECT A MAJOR LIFE-THREATENING SAFETY ISSUE. THIS CAR IS ISSUED TO ME BY MY EMPLOYER.
THE SCISSOR JACK FOR THE CAR IS UNSTABLE, WHEN THE CAR WAS JACKED UP TO REMOVE A FLAT RIGHT FRONT TIRE WITH THE PARKING BRAKE SET AND THE CAR WAS ON A LEVEL PAVED PARKING LOT SURFACE, THE JACK ROLLED OVER AND THE CAR FELL ON TO THE TIRE AS IT WAS BEING REMOVED RESULTING IN SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE FENDER AND INJURY TO MY HAND, I WAS THEN ABLE TO JACK THE CAR BACK UP AND REMOVE THE TIRE AND AGAIN WHILE PUTTING THE SPARE TIRE ON THE JACK ROLLED OVER AGAIN AND THIS TIME THE JACK WAS PINNED UNDER THE CAR AND FORD'S ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WAS CONTACTED TO SEND SOMEONE TO JACK THE CAR UP. THE DEALER SAID THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE JACK OR THE CAR, HOWEVER WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO A COLLISION SHOP THEY WERE ALL TO FAMILIAR WITH THE PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT CALLED NAZARETH FORD (4067 JANDY BLVD, NAZARETH, PA 18064, (866) 601-7744) AND RAY PRICE FORD (2971 ROUTE 940, MOUNT POCONO, PA 18344). THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR ANOTHER FOUR TO SIX MONTHS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,700. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
MY 2017 FUSION HAS COMPLETELY STALLED ON 2 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING. THE LATEST INCIDENT OCCURRED ON 3/4/18. AS I PROCEEDED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AT A BUSY INTERSECTION..THE CAR SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNING. WE WERE ALMOST REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER PERSON. THE CAR WOULD NOT START UNTIL SOMEONE GAVE US A BOOST. MY HAZARDS WERE ALSO INEFFECTIVE. MY CAR STAYED AT THE BRONDE FORD DEALERSHIP FOR 4 DAYS AND THEY SAID THAT THERE WERE NO CODES SO THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS. MY CHILD AND I WERE IN GRAVE DANGER AND STILL IN DANGER BECAUSE THEY CAN'T FIND A SOLUTION. I'M TERRIFIED TO DRIVE WITH MY BABY.
ERROR MESSAGE ON INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAYS "TEMPORARILY LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE CLIMATE SYSTEM" WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE CLIMATE SYSTEM, RADIO, WINDOWS, AND SEAT CONTROLS STOP WORKING, THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY AND CAN LAST AS LONG AS A WEEK. MANY OWNERS WITH SEVERAL DIFFERENT FORD MODELS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM AND FORD REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT.
CAR WAS ACCELERATING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 50 MPH AND OUT OF NO WHERE CAR SHIFTS VERY HARD AND ALL POWER IS LOST. HAD TO LIMP TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND SHUT IT OFF. THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS. AFTER A RESTART IT SEEMED TO ACT FINE UNTIL TODAY WHEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED ON A LOCAL ROAD AT ABOUT 20 MPH.
STEERING WHEEL BECAME LOOSE WHILE DRIVING
DRIVING ON ROAD ROUGHLY 40 MPH AND VEHICLE COMPLETELY LOST POWER. CAR LOST POWER AND STARTED SLOWING DOWN. ERROR MESSAGE ON THE DASH "FULL ACCESSORY POWER ACTIVE:. NEEDED TO IMMEDIATELY PULL OFF TO THE RIGHT OF THE ROAD IN ORDER TO AVOID TRAFFIC. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, A BEEPING NOISE WAS HEARD AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND DROVE INTO A CREEK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN UNKNOWN ERROR MESSAGE ON THE NAVIGATION SCREEN. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE CONTACT CALLED PRESTON FORD AT 877-834-3396 (LOCATED AT 4313 PRESTON RD, HURLOCK, MD 21643) AFTER LEARNING ABOUT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V167000 (STEERING). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER HUNG UP THE PHONE. THE CONTACT WAS NOT SURE WHETHER THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,800.
I HAVE THE 2017 FUSION SPORT 2.7L TWIN TURBO AND I PURCHASED IT NEW. ON MORE THAN 30 OCCASIONS AND AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS THE VEHICLE LOSES ALL POWER WITHOUT WARNING. I HAVE HAD IT TO 2 DIFFERENT DEALERS WHO SAID THERE ARE NO CODES STORED INDICATING THIS HAPPENED AND SINCE THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO HELP. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FORD CORPORATE BUT THEY CLOSED MY CLAIM SINCE THEY HAD NO INDICATION THIS WAS OCCURING. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS EXACT ISSUE BUT YET THEY CONTINUE TO DENY THE PROBLEM. ON A FEW OCCASIONS I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY RUNNING 70 MILES AN HOUR. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE FOR THIS TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED? THE NHSTA NEEDS TO MAKE FORD STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. EVERY TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED THE CAR ALSO PUT ITSELF IN PARK BEFORE CAR WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP WHICH CAUSED A HARD JOLT TO THE TRANSMISSION. THIS IS GOING TO DAMAGE THE TRANSMISSION AMONG OTHER THINGS OVER TIME. I PAID $40,000 FOR THIS CAR AND DESERVE TO FEEL SAFE WHILE DRIVING IT ON THE ROAD. WHAT IF THIS WAS HAPPENING TO YOUR FAMILY WOULD YOU JUST IGNORE IT AND MAKE YOUR FAMILY KEEP DRIVING THE VEHICLE KNOWING AT ANYTIME IT COULD LOSE POWER AND CAUSE YOU TO WRECK? HOW COME NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT THIS? MAKE THEM BUY MY CAR OR FIX THE ISSUE SO I DON'T HAVE TO PUT MY LIFE IN DANGER IN ORDER TO GET WORK. I AM A NURSE I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FEEL SAFE DRIVING TO WORK. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED ONE TIME BUT WE'LL OVER 25-40 TIMES SINCE PURCHASE.
JUST AFTER LEAVING DEALERSHIP FOR THE CARS FIRST OIL CHANGE, THE CAR NO LONGER HAS BLINKERS, WIPERS (EXCEPT FAST SPEED) AND ALL STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS ARE INACTIVE.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the vehicle failed to start. Additionally, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission shifted out of gear unintendedly. The contact stated that the passenger's and driver's side windows failed to operate as needed. The contact also noticed excessive fluid underneath the vehicle. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V162000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who performed unknown repairs to the vehicle; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
I WAS DRIVING THROUGH SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CALIFORNIA EVENING OF JAN 3RD 2018 WEST BOUND ON HWY 74 HAVING JUST PAST THE OVERPASS ON I-5. I WAS ONLY GOING ABOUT 30 MPH AND THE STEERING SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING AND MY CAR FLOATED OVER AND I COULD NOT STOP IT OR STEER. IT WAS THE STRANGEST THING I EVER EXPERIENCED. I FELT THE SENSORS IN THE CAR SUCK IN. MY CAR BOUNCED OVER THE CURB AND THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL WAS TORN OFF IT. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOTALED MY CAR OUT AND THE LOSS OF MY CAR HAS BEEN SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF INCOME AND ABILITY TO WORK TOO. I LOST SO MUCH OVER THIS CAR BEING TOTALED. I HAS USAA AUTO INSURANCE AND GAP COVERAGE ON THE NOTE. HOWEVER I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT HOW INSURANCE AND THE ABILITY TO RESTORE INSURANCE WOULD BE AFFECTED. I HAVE HAD TO SEE THIS AS AN AT FAULT ACCIDENT AND IT RAISED MY INSURANCE AND IMPACTS ME NEGATIVELY IN MANY WAYS FINANCIALLY. AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY I ATTACHED LOSS DOCS, I HAVE PICS OF CAR AS WELL AS WHEEL WELL WHERE WHEEL WAS PULLED OFF AFTER BOUNCING OVER THE HIGH CURB.
OWNER WENT TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE AT SPEED AND USED THE CARS "SPORT MODE". WHEN OWNER ENABLED SPORT MODE CAR SPUTTERED AND LOST MAJORITY OF POWER AND DISPLAYED A "SEE MANUAL" LIGHT. OWNER DROVE CAR TO JORDAN FORD OF SAN ANTONIO WHERE THE PRESENTED HIM WITH CODE P0234 FOR TURBOCHARGER OVERBOOSTING. DEALERSHIP RESET CARS COMPUTER AND DID NOTHING ELSE.
I purchased this vehicle in late 2017 and immediately experienced an electrical issue that de-charged the battery. It was less than two weeks after my initial purchase. Since then, I have been stranded several times, inconvenienced, and frustrated by the level of service I received at Liccardi Ford in Watchung NJ. I have replaced this battery 4 other times since the initial replacement. This is clearly an electrical defect that NO ONE at Ford wishes to acknowledge. Instead of pouring more money into this vehicle or filing a legal claim, I contact the FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONS LINE (Spoke with someone name William) who failed to be considerate of my particular situation. This has been happening to me as a Ford customer for 7 years!!!!. In that time frame, I replaced the battery 5 times. That is not normal. I would to report that this is a defect and a recallable issues. Ford should have accepted this issue as a recallable defect years ago. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME LOOSE AND HAD AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF PLAY IN IT. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED AND REPAIRED. THEY TOOK CARE OF IT WITH NO PROBLEM. AFTER RETURNING HOME MY WIFE SUGGESTED I CHECK AND SEE IF THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND I FOUND THE ARTICLE ABOUT THE 2014 TO 2016 INVESTIGATION. WE THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE MADE KNOWN THAT IT ALSO IS HAPPENING IN 2017 MODELS. THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME THIS WAS THE SECOND ONE HE HAS SEEN ALTHOUGH HE WAS NOT SPECIFIC IF THEY WERE BOTH 2017 MODELS.
MY STEERING WHEEL HAS BECOME VERY LOOSE AND FEELS LIKE IT'S GOING TO FALL OFF. I HAVE VIDEO FOR PROOF. 2017 FORD FUSION SPORT.
CAR SHUT OFF WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WITH NO WARNING AND THEN WHEN I WENT TO RESUME DRIVING THE CAR SAID IT WAS IN ACCESSORY MODE. I STARTED TO ROLL BACK AS I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE. I WAS ABLE TO TURN OFF THE CAR AND RESTART IT. I PULLED OVER FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND STOPPED AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE FEELING SAFE TO PROCEED. THERE WERE SEVERAL OTHER CARS BEHIND ME WHEN THIS OCCURRED AND I AM THANKFUL I DID NOT ROLL BACK INTO ONE OF THEM. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO TELL ME WHAT CAUSED THIS PROBLEM. THEY SAID THERE WERE UNAWARE OF ANY ISSUES LIKE THIS. I HOWEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION AS WELL THAT WAS CAUSING A HARSH SHIFT THAT I WAS TAKING THE CAR IN FOR REPAIRS FOR. THERE IS ONLY 10821 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE AND IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP HAD MY VEHICLE FOR 2 WEEKS AND HAS REPLACED THE CLUTCHES, SEALS, AND BUSHING ACCORDING TO THE REPORT WE RECEIVED. I DO NOT FEEL AS THOUGH A NEW CAR SHOULD HAVE TRANSMISSION ISSUES THIS SOON. I AM CONCERNED IF OTHERS WOULD FIND THE SAME ISSUES WITH THE NEW FUSION SPORT.
CAR IS A 2017 FORD FUSION SPORT 2.7L ECOBOOST CAR STALLED RANDOMLY. DROVE FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO STALLING. WAS STOPPED AT A BUSY INTERSECTION ON A CITY STREET ABOUT TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN, THE CAR STALLED AND WENT INTO FULL ACCESSORY MODE. STARTED THE CAR BACK UP AFTERWARDS WITH NO PROBLEMS. CAR HAS 8500 MILES ON IT. A CAR STALLING WHILE IN DRIVE IS UNSAFE IN THE CASE OF BEING ON TRAIN TRACKS, STALLING COULD BE FATAL. CAN NOT BE REPLICATED AND NO CODES THROWN. WITH NO CODES, DEALER HAS NO IDEA WHAT THE ISSUE COULD BE. SEVERAL OTHERS (CAR EXPERTS, SOME ASE CERTIFIED) STATE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR COULD BE THE FAULT.
WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO LOOSEN. IT ALMOST FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO COME OFF. I WAS TRAVELING ON I-94 FROM MILWAUKEE TO THE CHICAGO AREA, SO IT WAS FLAT ROAD, GOOD CONDITIONS. I DROPPED MY SPEED TO 55 AS I WAS AFRAID TO GO THE POSTED 70 MPH WITH THE STEERING WHEEL AS IT WAS. WHEN I GOT HOME I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE BOLT INSIDE THE STEERING COLUMN WAS LOOSE. THEY FIXED IT.
HAVE HAD CAR FOR JUST ONE YEAR 18676 MILES AND IT HAS TURNED OFF RANDOMLY 3 TIMES DURING THIS TIME. RANDOMLY UNDER LIGHT DRIVING CONDITIONS WHILE MAKING A TURN THE CAR LOOSES POWER AND WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE DASH IT SAYS FULL ACCESSORY LIKE YOU JUST PUSHED THE BUTTON WITH OUT TOUCHING THE BRAKE TO START. ONCE COASTED TO A SAFE LOCATION YOU CAN RESTART THE CAR AND EVERYTHING RUNS FINE. NO CODES ARE LOGGED WHEN THIS ISSUE OCCURS. THIS COULD BE A SERIOUS ISSUE AS YOU HAVE NO WARNING WHEN IT HAPPENS AND IT LEAVES THE CAR WITHOUT POWER.
UPON DECELERATING, MY CAR STALLED IN TRAFFIC. I WAS DRIVING ON A SUBURBAN CITY STREET AT APPROX. 35 MPH, AND DECELERATED TO A COMPLETE STOP. UPON PRESSING THE GAS TO START GOING AGAIN, I NOTICED THE ENGINE HAD SHUT OFF. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE, AS A CAR THAT LOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING COULD CAUSE A CRASH. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION.
IT IS TORQUE CONVERTER CONNECTOR THAT SLAMS SUDDENLY AND MAKE THE CAR JERK WHILE IN MOTION NO MATTER WHAT SPEED I AM DOING..THE TORQUE CONVERTER DOES NOT CONNECT THE ENGINE TO THE TRANSMISSION SMOOTHLY .

ONLY AIRBAG TO DEPLOY WAS AT DRIVER'S ANKLE. NONE OF THE OTHER AIRBAGS WORKED. DRIVER OF VEH 1 INJURED, SEVERE ABRASION TO LEFT CLAVICLE CAUSED BY SEAT BELT. STERNUM AND RT RIBS ALSO AFFECTED . VEH 1 VIRTUALLY STOPPED, VEH 2 APPROACHED AT HIGH RATE OF SPEED, VEH 1 HAD NO TIME TO ESCAPE COLLISION. WEATHER CLEAR, DRY, SUNNY

A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED BUT THE REPAIRS REQUIRED WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT LEAST AT 65 MPH, THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME HIT HIS BRAKES AND WENT IN TO A COMPLETE STOP. I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO STOP, I HIT THE CAR, NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR COULD NOT OPEN BECAUSE THE FRAME OF THE CAR SHIFTED. RIGHT AFTER IMPACT A GUSH OF LIQUID STARTED POURING OUT. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOP TO GET FIXED BUT AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS THE CAR WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS.

CAR WOULDN'T START AFTER SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY WAY FOR 2 STRAIGHT DAYS. HAD IT TOWED TO DEALER AND AFTER CHECKING THE VEHICLE OUT, WAS TOLD I HAD A SEVERE ANT PROBLEM AND THE ANTS ATE THE WIRING IN THE FUSECOND BOX. HAD TO REPLACE FUSE BOX OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE I TOLD IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE FEB 2017. PICKED UP MY VEHICLE AFTER REPAIRS AND A FEW MILES DOWN THE ROAD WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT, MY VEHICLE SHUT DOWN WITH NO WARNING. NUMEROUS ERROR LIGHTS WERE ON, BUT COULDN'T RESTART THE CAR OR PUT INTO GEAR. AFTER 15-20 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR AND MOVE IT OFF THE STREET. HAD IT TOWED BACK TO DEALER. DEALER DETERMINED THE BATTERY CABLE WAS STRIPPED AND HAD IT FIXED . ASSURED ME THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. WEEK LATER WHILE DRIVING, CAR SHUT DOWN WITH NO WARNING. STEERING LOCKED, BRAKES NOT WORKING. WAS ABLE TO GLIDE INTO A PARKING LOT. TRIED TO START CAR AND WOULDN'T START. DEALERSHIP WAS CLOSED SO HAD TO GET IT TOWED TO MY RESIDENCE. NEXT DAY HAD IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. WHEN TOW TRUCK DRIVER TRIED TO START THE CAR IT STARTED WITH NO PROBLEM. VEHICLE IS SITTING AT DEALERSHIP TO BD LOOKED AT. FIRST TOW, I HAD TO PAY FOR REPAIRS OUT OF POCKET AND FOR THE RENTAL. SECOND TOW I WAS NOT CHARGED FOR DAMAGE TO THE BATTERY FROM THE FIRST REPAIR. THIRD TOW, I HAD TO ARGUE WITH THE DEALERSHIP TO PAY FOR THE RENTAL. STILL WAITING ON DETERMINATION OF PROBLEM. FIRST TIME VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. SECOND AND THIRD TIME I WAS DRIVING AND ON A CITY STREET
BOUNCE BACK WINDOW FEATURE CAN NOT BE DISABLED. EVERY TIME MY WIFE OPENS THE SIDE WINDOW, THE WINDOW WILL NOT CLOSE. THE WINDOW GOES TO THE TOP AND COMES BACK DOWN BY ITSELF. THE DEALER SAYS THIS IS NORMAL. THE DEALER REPROGRAMMED IT. THE NEXT TIME MY WIFE TOUCHED IT, IT FAILED. A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET GAVE A FEW THOUSAND INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REPROGRAM IT. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE. SHE LOWERED THE WINDOW ON THE INTERSTATE. THEN SHE TRIED TO CLOSE IT. IT WOULDN'T CLOSE. NOW SHE IS GOING 65 MPH AND FOOLING AROUND WITH THE WINDOW TRYING TO GET IT TO CLOSE. SHE SHOULD BE CONCENTRATING ON DRIVING, NOT FOOLING AROUND WITH A WINDOW. FURTHERMORE, IF SHE IS STOPPED IN TRAFFIC AND SEES SOME SEEDY INDIVIDUAL COMING NEAR HER SHE CAN'T CLOSE THE WINDOW.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLINER FELL OUT OF PLACE IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (MID VALLEY FORD DEALER LOCATED AT 201 NE POLK SATION RD, DALLAS, OR) AND THE HEADLINER WAS REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE AIR BAG WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOUNTING BRACKETS WERE WELDED INTO THE WRONG POSITION IN THE VEHICLE. THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE TO BE DETACHED AND RE-WELDED INTO THE CORRECT POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 32,000.
I WAS DRIVING IN THE HIGHWAY AND SUDDENLY THE WHEELS STOPPED FROM TURNING I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT WHEN I TOUK THE EXIT AND THE LIGHT WENT ON INDICATES THE CAR NEED A SERVICE STEERING ASSIST FAULT, I TOOK IT TO FORD DEALER THER WAS NO EXPLANATION WHAT DID CAUSE THAT THEY TOLD ME THE STEERING BAR ROCK GET BROKEN BECAUSE YOU MAY HIT SOMETHING I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT NOTHING HIT ME BBUT BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO EXPLANATION THEY MADE THAT UP SOMEONE NEED TO LOOK THAT UP THIS IS SO DANGEROUS ISSUE WHILE YOU DRIVING.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR THERE IS AN ODOR THAT SMELLS LIKE GAS. I AM NOT SURE WHERE IT IS COMING FROM SOMETIMES IT'S VERY STRONG OTHERS NOT SO BAD
I HAVE OWNED MY FORD FUSION SINCE MARCH 2017. TWICE SINCE JUNE 2017 I HAVE COME OUT TO A CAR THAT WILL NOT START. THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED WTHERE WAS NO WAY FOR US TO MANUALLY JUMP THE CAR DUE TO THE PLASTIC GUARD HAD NOT BEEN REMOVED. IT TOOK 2 DAYS FOR MAINTENANCE TO REPLACE THE BATTERY AND THAT WAS ALL THAT WAS DIAGNOSED. AUGUST 27, 2017, AGAIN MY CAR WOULD NOT START NOR WERE WE ABLE TO JUMP IT.
My Fusion is a 2017 and in 2015 Ford reported a problem with the Eco-Boost engines. The issues is there is a flaw in the production of the engine that could cause a crack in the cylinder and allow coolant to enter the chamber and once that happens the engine fails. Ford did offer a customary recall for the engine, but it was limited on miles and time. I was never informed of the customary recall. My engine has a small crack that has leaked a small amount of coolant into the cylinder. The car still functions. My concern is that if the engine fails while it is being driven, that the engine will seize and the car will stop, and an accident could occur. Since I was sold a car with the defective engine, and it was not disclosed to me, I want ford to replace the engine, since my engine has the defect, before it becomes a safety hazard.
SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR IN JANUARY OF 2017 I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CONNECT MY SMARTPHONE TO THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM ON THE SCREEN IT WILL WORK SOMETIMES EVEN THOUGH I DOWNLOAD THE APPROPRIATE APPS FOR MY PHONE IT WILL NOT CONNECT. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR IN 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS TO FORD OF MONTEBELLO AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. THE TOUCHSCREEN ALSO HAS FLICKERED AND TURN ON OFF NUMEROUS TIMES WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE CAR. BOTH OF MY FRONT DRIVER SIDE WINDOW AND PASSENGER WINDOW HAVE HAD A TENDENCY TO NOT ROLL ALL THE WAY UP AND AT THE SAME TIME ROLLED DOWN AND THEN THEY WOULD START DOING IT REPEATEDLY UNTIL I TURN THE CAR OFF OPEN MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR TURN THE CAR BACK ON AND THEN IT WOULD STOP.
BATTERY DISCHARGES WHEN CAR IS PARKED FOR MORE THAN A DAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED REGULARLY SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NEW.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE LEFT AND SWAYED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT WITH SHEEHY FORD OF MARLOW HEIGHTS (5000 AUTH RD, MARLOW HEIGHTS, MD 20746 (301) 423-4950), THE VEHICLE STARTED PULLING TO THE RIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRES NEEDED AIR. ANOTHER TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND REVEALED THAT THE FRONT CAMBER AND REAR TOE FAILED. THE REPAIRS NEEDED WERE UNKNOWN AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN FOR A TEST DRIVE, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE LOCAL DEALER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFT ALSO STARTED TO SHIFT INADVERTENTLY FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO SHEEHY FORD OF MARLOW, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED ONCE AGAIN AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. ON NOVEMBER 1, 2017, WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED TO THE RIGHT, STRUCK TWO OTHER VEHICLES, FLIPPED OVER, AND LANDED ON ITS ROOF. ALL OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISES ALL OVER THE BODY AND INJURIES TO THE NECK, BACK, LEFT HIP, BOTH SHOULDERS, AND BOTH KNEES. THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT AND WAS AWAITING INSPECTION FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE INITIAL FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15 AND THE CRASH OCCURRED AT APPROXIMATELY 3,200 MILES.

ON THE MORNING OF 7/26/2017, AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY OVERNIGHT, I STARTED THE VEHICLE AS A TEST TO ENSURE IT WOULD START LATER FOR MY SPOUSE. IT STARTED FINE. WHEN SHE TRIED TO START IT LATER AND IT WOULD NOT START. I THEN TRIED TO START IT AGAIN. IT WOULD NOT START AND THE LIGHTS FLASHED ON THE DASHBOARD. (BOTH THE SERVICE TECHS AT FAITH FORD AND DURAND FORD SAID THIS INDICATED A LOW VOLTAGE SITUATION.) I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO DURAND FORD. IT STARTED FINE. SERVICE AT DURAND (A) SWITCHED OUT THE BATTERY FOR A NEW BATTERY AND (B) VERIFIED THAT THE AUDIO CONTROL MODULE HAD BEEN UPDATED TO ITS LATEST VERSION [A PROBLEM NOTED ON CARCOMPLAINTS.COM]. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT DURAND FORD FROM 7/27/2017 UNTIL 8/3/2017, IT DID NOT FAIL TO START, EVEN AFTER BEING PARKED FOR A FEW DAYS.
AT 1884 MILES, VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. WHEN JUMP STARTED, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. RETRIEVED CODES FOR "ALMOST EVERY MODULE" HAD LOW VOLTAGE. BATTERY WAS CHARGED AND CODES WERE CLEARED. SERVICE TECH SAYS THERE ARE NO SERVICE MEMOS OR RECALLS. WE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW AND WE HAD THIS PROBLEM SINCE DAY ONE AT DELIVER, THE VEHICLE HAD MORE BATTERIES THAN DAYS IN MY DRIVEWAY.
IN JULY 2017 I PURCHASED A 2017 FORD FUSION SPORT WITH THE 2.7 V6 WITHIN 300 MILES THE VEHICLE STALLED ON A HILL AND THE CAR STARTED TO ROLL BACKWARDS. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM. THEY SCANNED THE CAR AND NO CODES CAME UP AND SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO WITHOUT A CODE. I TOOK THE CAR AND CONTINUED TO DRIVE IT. IT STALLED SEVERAL MORE TIMES, BROUGHT IT IN AGAIN AND NO CODES. THEY TOLD ME FORD WOULD NOT APPROVE ANY REPAIRS ON THIS VEHICLE WITHOUT HAVING A CODE AND A CONFIRMED ISSUE. I'VE BEEN DRIVING AROUND IN A DEATH TRAP THAT COULD KILL MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE AND FORD WON'T HELP. I FOUND ON AN ONLINE GROUP OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE AND HAVE NOT GOTTEN IT RESOLVED BY FORD. THERE ARE OTHER ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE TO. BUT THE STALLING IS UNACCEPTABLE. THE LEMON LAW FOR MY STATE SAYS I MUST LET HAVE THE CHANCE TO FIX THE CAR TO QUALIFY BUT THE IS NO TRACE LEFT BEHIND AFTER STALLING THEREFORE FORD HAS NOTHING TO REPAIR. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. DO NOT BUY!
STANDARD FRONT LIGHTS ARE INSUFFICIENT TO SEE CLEARLY. DESIGN FLAW MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE AND COSTLY TO BUY YOUR OWN BRIGHTER BULB(SULVANIABRIGHT WHITE)AND HAVE IT INSTALLED, COSTING UPWARDS OF $400. REMEDY; INSTRUCT FORD TO COVER THE COST OF INSULLATING INTERNAL IF CUSTOMER BUYS A BETTER BULB. AND REDUCE COST OF INTALLING
I'VE HAD BATTERY FAILURE ON 4 OCCASIONS WITHIN A MONTH OF PURCHASING THE VEHICLE AND THE BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED BUT THE ISSUE REMAINS. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE FUSION AS I'VE READ IN MANY BLOGS ONLINE AND COMPLAINTS ON NHTSA WEBSITE BUT FORD HAS YET TO ISSUE A TSA OR RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL: AFTER A HIGH SPEED COLLISION NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. MY VEHICLE WAS AT A STOP ON A HIGHWAY. MY CAR WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE GOING BETWEEN 70 AND 75 MPH. UPON IMPACT BOTH CARS WERE MOVED TO THE MEDIAN AND PROPELLED APPROXIMATELY 200 FEET. AT NO POINT DID ANY AIR BAG DEPLOY.
I PURCHASED THIS CAR ON 8/31/16 AND ON 11/28/16 THE DREADED DEAD BATTERY PROBLEMS STARTED. I TOOK IN IT, THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY ON 11/28 SAID THAT IT WAS PROBABLY JUST A FAULTY BATTERY FROM THE MANUFACTURE AND THAT IT HAPPENS, RARELY BUT IT HAPPENS. ON 12/31/17 I WENT TO START MY CAR AND IT AGAIN WOULD NOT START. EACH TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED, I HAVE TO MANUALLY UNLOCK MY CAR BY TAKING OFF A PIECE OF THE DOOR HANDLE TO EXPOSE THE KEY HOLE AND THE DOME LIGHTS OR DASH LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON, THAT'S MY DEAD GIVEAWAY THAT IT WONT START. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP THIS TIME THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE CAR WAS MANUFACTURED ON 8/1/16 AND SAT TOO LONG WITHOUT BEING DRIVEN SO IT CAUSED THE BATTERY TO MESS UP(EVEN THOUGH I HAD THE BATTERY REPLACED A MONTH EARLIER, AND DRIVE EVERY SINGLE DAY TO WORK). I GOT THE CAR BACK AND I BET YOU CANT GUESS WHAT HAPPENED ON 2/4/17... MY CAR WAS DEAD. WOULDN'T START, WOULDN'T UNLOCK... DEAD. THIS TIME THEY WE'RE "99.9% SURE" THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM BY UPDATING MY POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE. THEY HADN'T, IT DIED AGAIN ON 5/22/17. WHEN I TOOK IT IN, THEY UPDATED THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE AND SENT ME ON MY WAY, SO I'M JUST WAITING FOR IT TO DIE AGAIN HONESTLY. THEN... I TOLD THEM MY TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING ON 5/22/17- THEY IGNORED IT WHEN DOING UPDATES AND IT WASN'T RESOLVED. ON 6/13/17 I TOOK IT IN BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WAS STILL SLIPPING SO THEY UPDATED THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE AGAIN... DIDN'T FIX IT(OBVIOUSLY) AND THEN ON 6/22/17 I TOOK IT IN BECAUSE I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING AND SLIDING MY CAR INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC TRYING TO SHIRT GEARS(ITS AUTOMATIC) AND THEY REPLACED A PRESSURE VALVE, NOT SURE WHY YOU WOULD NEED TO REPLACE A PART LIKE THAT ON A BRAND NEW CAR ANYWAY, BUT THE TRANSMISSION STILL ACTS UP.
