THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE DIAGNOSIS WAS UNKNOWN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V319000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
TAKATA RECALL MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON....I GOT A NOTICE BEFORE THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON THAT IT WAS BEING RECALLED ITS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT CONTACTED ME ABOUT THE RECALL REPAIRS AS TO WHEN THE PARTS WAS GONNA BE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. HAVE TO GET MY CAR INSPECTED NEXT MONTH AND ITS NOT GONNA PASS INSPECTION WITH THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON. COME ON FORD GET TOGETHER!!!!! THIS IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION.
WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH WESTBOUND ON INTERSTATE 195 IN NEW JERSEY THE ENGINE TURNED OFF. IT LOST ALL POWER AND THE INSTRUMENTS ALL WENT OFF. ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART WHILE THE CAR WAS ROLLING. I PULLED OFF ROAD TO A COMPLETE STOP. WAS ABLE TO RESTART ENGINE WHEN STOPPED. CONTINUED TRIP. LOOKED LIKE A COMPLETE LOSS OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE COMPUTER BOARD HAD BEEN REPLACED 9 MONTHS AGO BECAUSE OF A DIFFERENT PROBLEM.
I WAS DRIVING ALONG HEADING TO THE FREEWAY AND THE CAR ACCELERATOR CAUSED THE CAR TO SPEED UP AND I COULDN'T STOP THE CAR. I HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN GOING ON THE FREEWAY OR DRIVING THE CAR IN A PARKING LOT AND INTO A POLE TO STOP IT.

TAKATA RECALL - I WAS ADVISED BY FORD ON 28 JULY 2015 THAT MY VEHICLE IS INCLUDED IN THE TAKATA RECALL. I LIVE IN A HIGH RISK AREA WITH HIGH HEAT AND HUMIDITY IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS. HOW MUCH LONGER AM I TO PUT MY FAMILY'S LIVES IN DANGER? IT'S BEEN ALMOST 9 MONTHS! WHEN WILL FORD TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION?
I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS INVOLVES A "TAKATA INFLATOR". I RECEIVED A FORD MOTOR COMPANY SAFETY RECALL NOTICE POSTMARKED JULY 24, 2015 INDICATING MY 2009 MUSTANG WAS SUBJECT TO RECALL FOR A DEFECTIVE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR HOUSING. I HEARD NOTHING MORE FROM FORD SO IN LATE SEPTEMBER 2015 I TELEPHONED THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE. CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO ACTION BEING TAKEN TO REPLACE THE PART ON MY VEHICLE. I ASKED WHY NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE FOR TWO MONTHS SINCE THE NOTICE AND THE FORD MOTOR CO. CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE INFORMED ME THAT FORD WAS "TAKING QUOTES" FOR THE REPLACEMENT, WHICH SUGGESTED TO ME THAT FORD IS LOOKING FOR THE CHEAPEST WAY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. IN LIGHT OF THE DANGEROUS NATURE OF THIS PROBLEM, AS THE NOTICE STATES: "AN INFLATOR RUPTURE COULD RESULT IN . . . SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.", I THINK THIS IS AN OUTRAGEOUS CORPORATE DECISION. NOW I READ IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS ABOUT THE MONEY FORD IS SPENDING ON NEW MODELS, NEW PLANTS AND OTHER INVESTMENTS OTHER THAN THE DANGEROUS PRODUCTS ALREADY ON THE ROAD LIKE MY CAR. I WANT THIS DANGEROUS AND DEFECTIVE PART REPLACED ON MY VEHICLE NOW BEFORE I OR A PASSENGER RECEIVES "SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH".

I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION REGARDING A RECALL IN JULY 2015 FOR A RECALL ON DEFECTIVE DRIVER AIR BAGS. ONCE I RECEIVED THE NOTIFICATION I CONTACTED THE FORD DEALERSHIP AT A LOCAL LEVEL TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM AND TO ENSURE MY SAFETY GOD FOR BID AN ACCIDENT WERE TO OCCUR. THEY STATED THEY COULDN'T ADDRESS DEFECT UNTIL THEY HAD BEEN APPROVED FROM THE FORD I AM ASSUMING CORP. AND TO CALL BACK IN SEVERAL WEEKS. I HAVE WITH NO LUCK AND CALLED AGAIN TODAY 10-9-15 ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY AREN'T ABLE TO CHANGE THE AIR BAG UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. SO I AM WONDERING WHY IT'S TAKING OVER 3 MONTHS TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. PLEASE KNOW IT IS SOMEWHAT ALARMING THAT THERE'S A CHANCE IF THE AIR BAG ERUPTED IT COULD POTENTIALLY KILL OR SEVERELY INJURE ME. MY VEHICLE IS ONE OF THE VEHICLES THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY IN JULY 2015. I HAVE CALLED ON 5 OCCASIONS TRYING TO GET THE ISSUE TAKEN CARE OF. HOWEVER, THE LOCAL DEALER SAID FORD HAS NOT GOTTEN THE PART IN THUS FAR, WHICH BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY ISSUE ENDANGERS MY LIFE AND POTENTIALLY WHO IS IN THE CAR WITH ME LIVES IF IN FACT AN ACCIDENT OCCURS IF THIS HAPPENS TO BE A DEFECTED AIR BAG THAT SHOOT OUT METALS. IT IS A GAMBLE I DO NOT WISH TO TAKE. I THINK 7 MONTHS IS AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO WAIT ON PART TO CORRECT THE SITUATION. THEREFORE I THINK FORD SHOULD HAVE TO SUPPLY ME WITH A RENTAL CAR FREE OF CHARGE AND I CAN PUT MY CAR IN THE GARAGE UNTIL THEY COMPLETE THERE OBLIGATION IN ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE BUT FIXING THE PROBLEM. THE LETTER SAID I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE PARTS TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE ARE AVAILABLE. TO DATE, I NOT BEEN NOTIFIED TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR. IT HAS BEEN 9 MONTHS NOW AND PARTS STILL ARE NOT AVAILABLE? I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY. THIS IS A KNOWN SAFETY HAZARD.

TAKATA RECALL ON JUNE 22, 2015 I EMAILED FORD`S CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER REGARDING THE TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL AND THAT TIME IT WAS VERIFIED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN THE SAFETY RECALL PROGRAM 15S21. I WAS ALSO ADVISED: "WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BRING YOUR VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE AS SOON AS YOU ARE NOTIFIED THAT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE, BUT THAT YOU SHOULD CONTINUE TO DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE UNTIL THEN. I RECEIVED "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" NOTICE 15S21 NHTSA RECALL 15V-319 DATED JULY 2015. I AGAIN EMAILED FORD'S CRC IN NOVEMBER 2015 AND WAS "OFFERED SINCERE APOLOGIES FOR THE DELAY" AND THAT THEY ARE STILL WORKING WITH THEIR SUPPLIERS TO EXPEDITE PARTS. IT HAS BEEN WELL OVER 6 MONTHS NOW WITH NO RESOLUTION IN SIGHT AND I FIND IT IRRESPONSIBLE OF FORD TO ADVISE PEOPLE TOO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THEIR VEHICLES IN THIS CONDITION, ESPECIALLY OWNERS LIKE ME LIVING IN A HIGH HEAT, HUMID CLIMATE AREA WHICH, ALLEGEDLY, CAUSES PROPELLANT WAFERS BREAK DOWN. I BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME WAITING FOR A REPAIR AND FORD SHOULD CONSIDER COMPENSATING THOSE WHO FALL UNDER THE SAFETY RECALL. FOR NOW, MY 2009 MUSTANG SITS. I HAVE CALLED REPEATEDLY TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE CAR WAS PURCHASED AND THEY SAID THE PARTS TO FIX IT ARE NOT AVAILABLE BUT WILL NOTIFY ME WHEN THEY ARE. IN LIGHT OF SEVERAL DEATHS DUE TO THESE AIRBAGS I NEED IT REPAIRED. MAY NOT PURCHASE WITH FORD AGAIN. THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE ABOUT AIRBAG REPAIR..
TAKATA AIRBAG. I AM TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHY IT HAS TAKEN OVER YEAR BETWEEN THE NOTIFICATION FROM FORD AND THE ESTIMATED TIME OF REPAIR. FORD HAS INDICATED OUR CAR WILL BE REPAIRED SOMETIME IN THE JULY TIMEFRAME. WHY HAVE OTHER CAR MANUFACTURERS SEEMED TO HAVE MOVED MUCH QUICKER IN OBTAINING PARTS AND ARE FURTHER ALONG WITH REPAIRS?

THE CONTACT DID NOT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT DUE TO THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY INFORMED HER OF DIAGNOSTIC CODE B2995, HOWEVER IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT THEN INFORMED THE DEALER OF THE CODE PROVIDED TO HER WHERE THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER IN REFERENCE TO IT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT PROVIDE ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE FOR THE RECALL EXCEPT FOR THE CONTACT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AND HAVE THE FAILURE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,291. THE VIN WAS INCOMPLETE.
I PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY AFTER RETURNING FROM THE STORE. AS I BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN TO PULL IN THE GARAGE THE CAR ACCELERATED CAUSING ME TO CRASH INTO THE FRONT OF MY GARAGE. THE BRAKES WERE LOCKED AND THE CAR DID NOT STOP BUT CONTINUED TO PUSH FORWARD. I HAVE SKID MARKS THE WHOLE WAY UP MY DRIVE INTO MY GARAGE FROM THE CAR BEING PUSHED FORWARD BY THE FRONT TIRES..... I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY AS THEIR WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR FORD MUSTANGS 2005-2010 IF PURCHASED IN SELECT STATES, MINE BEING FLORIDA, WHICH WAS PART OF THIS LAWSUIT. TAKATA RECALL. IN THE EVENT OF THE CRASH, THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS DRIVING IN A FOOT OF SNOW IN A MALL PARKING LOT GOING THE PARKING LOT SPEED LIMIT AND AS I WAS COMING TO A YIELD TO TURN, I RUN OVER THE CURB THAT WAS COVERED IN THE SNOW. THE CURB WAS ABOUT 3 FEET ACROSS AND I DID NOT CLEAR THE DISTANCE SO I WAS STUCK ON THE CURB TOP. THE CAR SHUT OFF DURING THIS EVENT AND I HIT MY HEAD ON THE WINDSHIELD HARD ENOUGH TO CAUSE DAMAGE AS SEEN IN THE PHOTO PROVIDED BECAUSE THE SEAT BELT I HAD EQUIPPED PROVIDED NO SAFETY EITHER. THE END RESULT IS: AIRBAG DASH LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED AND THE FUNCTIONS OF THE STEERING WHEEL DOES NOT OPERATE. MODERATE TO SLIGHTLY SEVERE CONCUSSION.

MY SON WAS PULLING THE CAR INTO THE GARAGE WHICH IS A SHORT DISTANCE FROM DRIVEWAY INTO THE GARAGE. THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED TO A HIGH SPEED. HE STEPPED ON THE BRAKE AND PULLED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN OR STOP. HE RAMMED INTO A WEIGHT MACHINE AND CABINET IN THE GARAGE WHICH STOPPED THE CAR. THE CAR WAS PUT INTO PARK BUT THE ENGINE WAS STILL REVVING. THERE WAS FRONT END DAMAGE ACROSS THE ENTIRE FRONT BUMPER AND THE AIR BAG DID NOT GO OFF. THIS INCIDENT WAS REPORTED TO THE FORD MOTOR CO AND I REQUESTED AN INSPECTOR TO COME AND EXAMINE THE VEHICLE'S GAS PEDAL, BRAKE OVERRIDE AND AIR BAGS FOR DEFECTS BUT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN VERY COOPERATIVE. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE JUST THE BODY WORK DONE AND THEN BE PUT BACK INTO THE CAR AND HAVE THE SITUATION HAPPEN AGAIN. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE THROTTLE BECAME STUCK IN AN OPEN POSITION WHICH CONTRIBUTED TO THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.

I HAVE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH SENSOR FAULTS PRIOR TO THE FIRST INCIDENT. AROUND MAY 22 I STARTED EXPERIENCING WATER LEAKING UNDER MY DASH BOARD FIRST WHEN I THRU A CAWASH. THEN IT RAINED AND WATER CAME AGAIN. THE TIRE PRESSURE FAULT AGAIN CAME ON AND I WAS OVER DUE FOR AN OIL CHANGE SO I TOOK IT IN TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. THE TECH ADVISED ME TO GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND ADVISED ME THE LEAK WAS A DEFROST EVAPORATOR AND THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR WAS BAD AND WOULD NOT BE COVERED BY WARRANTY IF EXTENDED. HE SAID I NEEDED TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE WATER DAMAGE GUY TO CLEAN UP THE MILDEW AND MOLD DAMAGE TO THE CAR WHICH WOULD COST 400 NOT TO MENTION OTHER PARTS AND LABOR. SO I WAS UNDER THE UNDERSTANDING THAT AS LONG AS I DIDNT USE THE DEFROST EVAPORATOR THE LEAK WOULD BE CONTAINED. SO I USED IT ONLY ON SUNDAYS AND ONE THURSDAY FROM MAY 22 TO JULY AND HAD ONLY PUT ABOUT 700 MILES ON THE CAR. THE WEEK OF JULY 19TH WE HAD A TON OF RAIN AND I NOTICED THE FLOOR BOARD WAS SATURATED WITH WATER AND THE HUMIDITY IN THE CABIN MADE THE PANELS ON THE DOORS START TO PEEL AWAY AND THERE WAS CONDENSATION ON THE INSIDE OF MY WINDOWS AND DASH. SO I SOPPED THE WATER UP WITH MULTIPLE TOWELS. I WAS VERY FRUSTRATED AT THE TIME AND WAS WORRIED ABOUT HOW I WOULD HANDLE MYSELF AT THE DEALER. THAT NIGHT AT 235 AM ON JULY 19TH A POLICE OFFICER ADVISED ME THAT A NEIGHBOR HAD CALLED ABOUT AN ALARM GOING OFF AND THAT THEY SAW WHAT APPEARED TO BE SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD. SO I COULDNT GET MY ALARM DEVICE TO WORK AND STARTED THE CAR THINKING IT WOULD STOP. WELL IT DIDNT, SO THE SHERIFF AND I AGREED TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FOR THE CAR WAS EXPERIENCING AN ELECTRICAL SHORT WHICH TRIGGERED MY HORN. AS I GOT TO THE HOOD YOU COULD SMELL FRIED WIRING BUT I DIDNT SEE ANY SMOKE MYSELF. WITH THESE CARS FROM 2005 WHY ISNT THIS A RECALL, DOES IT HAVE TO COST A LIFE TO MAKE A CHANGE? *TR

THE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRONIC MODULE WAS CAUSED BY THE WATER LEAK AS REFERENCED IN FORD'S TSB 08-26-7 AND I ALSO FILED COMPLAINT WITH FORD CONSUMER RELATION SINCE THEY OFFERED NO RELIEF. I WAS UNAWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND CONSEQUENCE BUT, I'M NOW FINDING IT'S NOTHING NEW FOR OWNERS AS WELL AS THE AUTO INDUSTRY THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH MUSTANGS '05-'09 AND THE RESULTING DAMAGE TO THE GENERIC ELECTRONIC MODULE HAPPENS OFTEN.

JUST BOUGHT A 2009 MUSTANG GT ON MARCH 13TH. TOOK IT TO THE STORE, AND WAS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WAITING FOR A GREEN LIGHT. THE LIGHT CHANGED AND I PULLED THE CAR OUT. I WENT FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR, AND WHEN I LET OFF THE CLUTCH THE CAR ACCELERATED AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. I PUSHED HARD ON THE BRAKES BUT IT CONTINUED TO GAIN SPEED. IT THREW ME TO THE RIGHT LANE, FORTUNATELY NOBODY WAS THERE, AND OFF THE EDGE OF THE ROAD AS IT KEPT SPEEDING UP. I HELD THE WHEEL TIGHT WHILE STILL CONTINUING TO TRY TO STOP THE CAR. BEFORE I KNEW IT I WAS IN A MUDDY DITCH, AND IT SLUNG ME AROUND AND THE REAR OF THE CAR UP ONTO THE BANK. THE THICK MUD GRABBED THE WHEELS AND SLOWED THE CAR DOWN ENOUGH THAT THE FRONT BUMPER WAS DUG INTO THE GROUND AND THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR WHEEL OFF THE GROUND, IT FINALLY HAD STOPPED. I AM GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP IN THE MORNING WITH THE CAR AND HOPE THEY CAN FIND THE PROBLEM AND FIX IT. WE LOVE THIS CAR AND WANT TO BE ABLE TO BE SAFE IN IT.
