TAKATA RECALL - I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD IN MID 2016 THAT BOTH THE DRIVER AIRBAG (15S21) AND PASSENGER AIRBAG *16S26) WERE RECALLED. FORD REPLACED THE PASSENGER AIRBAG BUT TO DATE TELLS ME THERE ARE NO PARTS TO REPLACE THE DRIVERS AIRBAG. I AM TOLD THAT IF THE BAG INFLATES THE DRIVER COULD BE KILLED. SO, WHY CAN'T FORD, IN OVER A YEAR, GET REPLACEMENT PARTS?

TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE CHEST, STERNUM, AND BACK, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOWING FACILITY. WRENCH INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON YESTERDAY AS WELL AS MY SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT AND I HAVE NO POWER IN REVERSE OR DRIVE. IT STARTS TO WORK AND WILL GO OFF FOR A BIT BUT DOES THE SAME AGAIN. APPARENTLY THERE WAS A CUSTOMER SATIS. PROGRAM 16B23 LETTER THAT WENT OUT TO FIX THIS THAT I NEVER RECEIVED. FORD NOW WILL NOT HONOR IT TO BE FIXED D/T THE LETTER EXPIRED 9/30/17. THE LETTER I NEVER RECEIVED.

TAKATA RECALL I'M STILL WAITING FOR AVAILABLE PARTS TO FIX THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IN MY VEHICLE. THE DRIVER'S SIDE WAS REMEDIED RATHER QUICKLY A FEW YEARS AGO BUT HAVE YET TO RECEIVE NOTICE THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE CAN BE REPLACED. NOW, TODAY, I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT TAKATA HOLDINGS IS FILING FOR CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY, WHICH LEAVES ME TO BELIEVE THE COMPANY WILL DISSOLVE OR BE SOLD "FREE AND CLEAR" LEAVING ME (AND MANY OTHERS) WITH A VEHICLE THAT WILL NEVER BE PROPERLY MADE WHOLE.

WHILE DRIVING ON I-95 IN FT. LAUDERDALE, FLDURING RUSH HOUR I REAR ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT, SPEED APPROXIMATELY 30MPH OR LESS BEFORE APPLYING BRAKES. CAR NOSE DIVED AND HIT REAR OF OTHER CAR GOING UNDER THE REAR BUMPER. MY CAR SUFFERED MINOR DAMAGE OF BOTH FENDERS, HEADLIGHTS, RADIATOR. FRONT BUMPER WAS UNTOUCHED, AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. I TURNED IGNITION OFF, PUT CAR IN PARK, STEPPED OUT OF CAR AND AFTER APPROXIMATELY 2 - 5 MINUTES FIRE WAS VISIBLE BELOW BUMPER THAT RAPIDLY TURNED INTO A FULL FLEDGED FIRE ENGULFING THE ENTIRE CAR. THE COLLISION CAUSED NO DAMAGE TO THE CAR PAST THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE, FLYWHEELS UNTOUCHED. FIRE TRUCK ARRIVED TO PUT OUT FIRE. NO EXPLOSION OCCURRED. THE COLLISION SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUSED A FIRE

TAKATA RECALL FOR PASSENGER AIRBAG REPLACEMENT TAKING TO LONG TO REMEDY AND HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS AND THE MANUFACTURES SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE IN A TIMELY MANNER
WHEN CAR STARTED AND I PUT IT IN GEAR IT STARTED GOING BUT STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN( IT WAS NOT IN LOCKED MODE.)IT FLASHED CHECK TRAC SYSTEM -CHECH ENGINE CUT CAR OFF THEN BACK ON IT WAS OK. LATER I TRIED TO CRANK IT , IT WOULDNT START READ WHERE IF YOU GOT OUT LOCKED WITH KEY WAITED TILL LIGHTS WENT OFF UNLOCKED IT WITH KEY IT WOULD CRANK DID THIS AND IT CRANKED TOOK IT TO FORD PLACE PUT IT ON COMPUTER SAID WAS A PROBLEM DIDNT KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE TO CHECK EVERY WIRE IN CAR COULD COST UP IN THE $3000 OR MORE. STILL DOING THE DANCE TO CRANK CAR. WORKS MOST OF THE TIME SOMETIMES HAVE TO DO IT TWICE. THE STEERING HAS DONE THE NOT WORKING THING LIKE 3 MORE TIMES JUST HOPE THE STEERING WHEEL DOES NOT LOCK UP WHILE I"M DRIVING I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THEY SUGGESTED ON LINE BUT IT HASNT FIXED THE PROBLEM THERE ARE A LOT OF CARS THAT ARE DOING THE NOT STARTING SEEMS TO BE THE SECURITY SYSTEM CAUSING THE PROBLEM LIKE THO THE FORD PLACE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THE PROBLEM. SUGGESTED I GET RID OF THE CAR WHICH I CANT AFFORD TO DO
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM. THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A TRIGGER IN REGARD TO RAIN, HOT, OR COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS OR HOW IT IS BEING DRIVEN. I HAVE HAD A FORD DEALERSHIP WORK ON THIS TO NO AVAIL. I WILL START WITH THE SAFETY ASPECT THAT IS AFFECTED. IT WILL DO ALL OF THESE THINGS AT ONCE AND THEN SLOWLY COME BACK ONLINE, SOMETIMES THE ERRORS DO NOT CORRECT THEMSELVES. 1. NO BRAKE LIGHTS 2. NO REAR TURN SIGNAL 3. NO HEAT/AIR (IT WILL TURN ON AND OFF) - WHICH IS BAD IN INCLEMENT WEATHER FOR OLD PEOPLE 4. BRAKE LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR, SERVICE ENGINE, ALL HAVE ERRORS. 5. RADIO WILL TURN ON AND OFF. IT WILL CYCLE THROUGH THESE THINGS FAILING, THEY MAY FAIL MULTIPLE TIMES PER MINUTE OR JUST STAY IN FAIL MODE, OR THEY MAY JUST CORRECT THEMSELVES. TAKATA RECALL. AIRBAGS PUSHING PASSENGER DASH PANELS OUT
GOT A RECALL ON BOTH AIR BAGS TOOK MY CAR IN TO HAVE IT DONE COULD NOT GET IT DONE FOR MONTHS THE FIRST AIR BAG THEN WENT TO GET SECOND RECALL ON THE 2ND AIR BAG COULD NOT GET APPT. FOR MONTHS AND THEN THEY DID NOT HAVE THE AIR BAGS FOR MONTHS NOR DID THEY BOTHER TO CALL WHEN THEY CAME . WAS NEVER ASKED ABOUT GETTING A RENTAL AT ALL. STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH AIR BAGS NOT BEING FIXED GOING ON SEVERAL MONTHS MORE STILL NO RENTAL CAR STILL DRIVING MY CAR STILL A PROB,EMBWITH AIR BAGS NOT BEING FIXED AND DANGEROUS. NO RENTAL CAR STILL GOING IN ON OCT. 31 FOR THEM TO FIX AIRBAGS BUT STILL NO RENTAL CAR IN DANGER WHEN DRIVING CAR.

COMPLETE POWER STEERING FAILURE. RESEARCH ON FORUMS INDICATES THAT THIS IS A VERY WIDE SPREAD, HIGH IMPACT, AND UNSAFE ISSUE. MANY OTHER MODELS FROM COMMON YEAR HAVE HAD RECALLS FOR STEERING ISSUE. THIS IS ALSO A VERY COSTLY FAULT. THE FAILURE HAPPENED WHEN MAKING A SHARP TURN. SHUT DOWN AND DISCONNECT THEN RESTART DID NOT CLEAR THE FAULT. DEALER ONLY SAYS STEERING COLUMN, I'D LIKE TO TRACK WHAT IN THE STEERING COLUMN (WHICH SENSOR) FAILED AND IS THERE A TREND WITH A COMMON SENSOR OR ASSY IN THE OTHER MODELS THAT WERE RECALLED.
I HAVE A 2011 MUSTANG THAT I KEEP COVERED AND CLEAN ALWAYS. THIS MONTH THE PAINT ON THE FRONT EDGE OF THE HOOD STARTED BUBBLING. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS AND HAVE DONE NOTHING AND WOULD DO NOTHING TO FIX IT. THEY TOLD ME TO CALL FORD. I CALLED FORD AND THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WRITE A LETTER OF COMPLAINT TO FORD. NOTHING IS RESOLVED. IF THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ON THIS MATTER, PLEASE ADD MY NAME TO THE LIST OF CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE BEEN WRONGED. I HAVE ALWAYS OWNED FORDS BUT WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER IF THEY DO NOT MAKE THIS RIGHT.

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO THE NEUTRAL TO STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
TAKATA RECALL: IT HAS BEEN 8 MONTHS SINCE THE RECALL ON MY VEHICLE REGARDING THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WAS PUBLISHED. SINCE THAT TIME, I HAVE NOT TRANSPORTED ANYONE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR FEARING FOR THEIR SAFETY. THIS HAS CREATED A LARGE BURDEN ON MY FAMILY AS THE VEHICLE CAN NO LONGER TRANSPORT MY WIFE AND TWO YEAR OLD CHILD. THE RECALL HAS LASTED SO LONG THAT I MADE THE DECISION TO SELL THE CAR. TWO DEALERSHIPS (INCLUDING A FORD DEALER) REFUSED TO PURCHASE DUE TO THE RECALL ON THE GROUNDS THAT THEY WILL BE UNABLE TO SELL IT WHILE THE RECALL IS IN EFFECT. NO PRIVATE SALE OFFER COMES CLOSE TO THE VEHICLE'S BLUE BOOK VALUE DISCLOSING THE VEHICLE'S CONDITION. I AM LEFT WITH THE CHOICE OF TRANSPORTING MY FAMILY IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE OR TAKING A LOSS OF SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS AND PURCHASING ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH, DUE TO THE SITUATION,I WILL STRUGGLE TO AFFORD. MY CHOICE IS CLEAR AS I WILL NOT SACRIFICE THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY, BUT THIS SITUATION IS COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY AS NO SAFETY RECALL SHOULD TAKE THE BETTER PART OF A YEAR (AND COUNTING) TO IMPLEMENT.
I AM HAVING MAJOR ELECTRICAL ISSUES WHICH FORD WILL NOT ADDRESS. SOMETIMES THIS IS INTERMITTENT, SOMETIMES IT IS CONSTANT. HERE IS WHAT HAPPENS: I GET A BARRAGE OF ERRORS ON THE DASH, THE RADIO AND AIR CONDITIONER WILL CYCLE ON AND OFF MULTIPLE TIMES (SOMETIMES WILL REMAIN OFF); REAR BRAKE LIGHTS STOP WORKING, REAR TURN SIGNAL STOPS WORKING. IT DOES THIS RANDOMLY, SOMETIMES FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD. I WORRY THAT SOMEONE MAY NOT CHECK THE BRAKE LIGHTS OR TURN SIGNAL AND BE SEVERELY INJURED OR KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE ALERTED FORD ABOUT THIS AND BELIEVE THAT IT FELL ON DEAF EARS. THE CAR CAN BE IN MOTION, STATIONARY, CITY, HIGHWAY, RAIN, SNOW, SLEET, OR SUN, DRIVEN AGGRESSIVELY OR GENTLY. NOTHING SEEMS TO TRIGGER THE PROBLEM, IT JUST HAPPENS. THE CAR HAS BEEN GARAGED A LARGE PART OF ITS LIFE.
FORD RECALLED 202,000 VEHICLES AND HAS A TSB FOR THE BULKHEAD CONNECTION LEAKAGE IN TRANSMISSION, HOWEVER MY YEAR 2011 WAS NOT, HOWEVER I JUST PAID OVER 600 FOR THE REPAIR AND COULD'VE BEEN KILLED HAD ALL THE FLUID LEAKED OUT. I THINK FORD NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL VEHICLES, NOT JUST CHERRY PICK PARTICULAR YEAR MODEL. MINE IS ONLY ONE YEAR OFF AND IT SHOULD BE PART OF THE RECALL OR PERHAPS ANOTHER INFAMOUS "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM" SUCH AS THEY DID WITH THE THROTTLE CONTROL BODY ISSUES. DANGEROUS! REAR WINDOW EXPLODED WHEN TURNED ON REAR DEFROST. SHORTLY AFTER TURNING ON REAR DEFROST, HEARD LOUD POP AND MIDDLE OF REAR WINDOW BEGAN TO SHATTER IN SPIDER WEB DESIGN WHICH SPREAD AND ENTIRE WINDOW EXPLODED. DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65 MPH. *TR
VEHICLE STUCK ACCELERATOR AT SLOW AND HIGHER SPEEDS!! IT HAPPENED ONCE WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT AND ONCE WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING. THIS COULD EASILY CAUSE SEVERE ACCIDENT. THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED BY DEALER. THIS ACCELERATOR PROBLEM HAPPENED AFTER THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED. BY THE DEALER. I BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER AFTER THIS INCIDENT AND THEY CALLED ME AND SAID "THEY CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG". I TOLD THEM TO KEEP THE CAR UNTIL THE FIND THE PROBLEM AS THIS OUT OF CONTROL ACCELERATION IS VERY DANGEROUS. *TR
CORROSION ISSUES UNDER THE PAINT ON THE HOOD OF MY MUSTANG, 18050 MILE, GARAGE KEPT. FORD HAS HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH CORROSION ISSUES UNDER THE PAINT ON SO MANY VEHICLES. "TAKATA RECALL", CAR WAS INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT ON NOVEMBER 3, 2016. CAR WAS BROUGHT IMMEDIATELY TO BODY SHOP FOR REPAIR. ONCE BODY SHOP RECEIVED CAR, THE DRIVER (STEERING WHEEL) AIR BAG WAS ORDERED AT FORD. GEICO, MY INSURANCE COMPANY NOTIFIED ME ON DECEMBER 3, 2016 THAT THEY WILL NO LONGER COVER MY RENTAL CAR EXPENSE SINCE ITS THE FAULT OF THE CAR MANUFACTURER WHY THE AIR BAG IS NOT AVAILABLE. SO IN ORDER TO AVOID LOOSING MY JOB I HAVE TO PAY $26/DAY FOR THE RENTAL CAR. I HAVE HAD TO PAY OVER $500 JUST FOR THE 20 DAYS I HAVE HAD THE RENTAL CAR. I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WILL NOT COVER THE COST OF MY RENTAL CAR AND THEY ARE VERY SORRY I AM INCONVENIENCED. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED FOR OVER $65,000 IN 2011 AS IT IS A SHELBY COBRA GT500 CONVERTIBLE. IT IS ONE THING IF FORD COULD PROVIDE ME WITH AN ESTIMATED DATE BUT THEY HAVE NOT PROVIDED ME WITH ANY DATE SO FAR. THE LAST TWO MUSTANGS I PURCHASED (BOTH WERE NEW CARS) DEVELOPED ELECTRICAL ISSUES AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. MY CURRENT 2011 MUSTANG HAS HAD NUMEROUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITHIN THE CABIN OF THE CAR. IN ADDITION TO THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES, THE HOOD DEVELOPED PROBLEMS WITH THE PAINT SUCH AS BUBBLING, PEELING AND RUSTING. MY FRUSTRATION WITH FORD GROWS MORE INTENSE EACH TIME THE AIR-CONDITIONER, ALONG WITH NUMEROUS OTHER DEVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE DASHBOARD, QUITS OPERATING AND THE WINDOWS WILL NOT FUNCTION. I OFTEN FIND MYSELF ENCOUNTERING THIS ISSUE ON A NINETY PLUS DEGREE DAY. THE ELECTRICAL ISSUE CAN OCCUR WHEN MOVING OR AT A COMPLETE STOP. THERE IS NO PATTERN TO WHEN IT HAPPENS, OR WHICH ELECTRICAL ITEMS WILL QUIT FUNCTIONING. IT DOES HAPPEN MORE OFTEN WITH WARMER TEMPERATURES AND THE AIR-CONDITIONER IS IN USE. HOWEVER, IT ALSO OCCURS WHEN THE AIR-CONDITIONER IS NOT IN USE.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL NOTICES FROM FORD REGARDING THIS RECALL SINCE OCTOBER 2016. AT THAT TIME, I CONTACTED SAM PACK FORD CARROLLTON, TX DEALERSHIP TO SCHEDULE SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. SINCE THEN, I'VE MADE THREE MORE ATTEMPTS WITH NO RETURN CALL FROM THEM.

TAKATA HAS DECLARED BANKRUPTCY (CH 11 CASE NO. 17-11375 (BLS)) AND SENT OUT POSTCARDS THAT STATES: "IF YOUR VEHICLE CONTAINS A DEFECTIVE OR POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE AIRBAG INFLATOR AND IS UNDER RECALL, CONTACT YOUR NEAREST DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR." THIS RECALL HAS BEEN IN EFFECT FOR OVER A YEAR, AND MULTIPLE CONTACTS WITH LOCAL DEALERSHIPS HAVE LED NO WHERE AS THEY STATE THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE ABS INDEPENDENTLY ENGAGED AND THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT. THE ADVANCETRAC (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM) INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR FAILED AND THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
THE VEHICLES DRIVERS SEAT MOTOR STOPPED WORKING. CANNOT MOVE THE SEAT TO A SAFE DRIVING POSITION. WAS TOLD BY MECHANIC THAT THE TRACK WAS BAD. THE CAR HAS 55,000 MILES ON IT.
WHILE DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 55 MPH, CAR BEGAN TO DECELERATE, YELLOW "WRENCH" ADVISORY LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND ENGINE APPEARED TO BE RUNNING ROUGH. CAR SLOWED TO A STOP AND I PULLED THE CAR OFF THE ROADWAY. I SWITCHED OFF THE IGNITION AND WAITED APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS. I RESTARTED THE CAR. THE ADVISORY LIGHT STAYED OFF AND THE ENGINE RAN NORMALLY THEREAFTER. WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED, THE CAR WAS ON A HIGHWAY CURVING TURN TO THE RIGHT. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED COMING OUT OF THE CURVE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE MOTOR SHUTS OFF. I HAVE TO QUICK PULL OFF THE ROAD, RESTART THE CAR. IT WILL DRIVE BUT AGAIN GET UP TO HIGHWAY SPEED, CAR SHUTS OFF. AFTER ABOUT THE 5TH TIME, FINALLY A CODE COMES ON, P2111 (THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL SYSTEM - STUCK OPEN. VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY.

TAKATA RECALL: I WAS DRIVING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON IH35 NORTH AND I ACCIDENTALLY REAR ENDED A VEHICLE TRYING TO GET ON THE EXIT RAMP. THE IMPACT WAS PRETTY MILD BECAUSE NO ONE WAS MOVING FASTER THAN 5-10 MPH. THE DAMAGE ON BOTH VEHICLES WAS MINIMAL AND BARELY NOTICEABLE BUT THE AIRBAG ON MY DRIVER SIDE DID DEPLOY. I HAD BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AS PART OF A SAFETY RECALL BEFORE THIS ACCIDENT. I HIGHLY SUSPECT THAT THE AIRBAG MAY HAVE DEPLOYED UNNECESSARILY OR DUE TO SOME FLAW IN THE REPAIR JOB. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO BRING MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND UPON SEEING THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED, MOST OF THE SERVICE PEOPLE START TALKING ABOUT HOW MUCH IT IS GOING TO COST TO FIX IT. I HAVE A SAFETY RECALL LETTER FROM FORD ASSURING ME THAT I SHOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE THIS FIXED PROMPTLY AND FREE OF CHARGE. I HAVE BEEN IN SEVERAL CAR ACCIDENTS, MUCH MORE SEVEREIMPACTS THAN THIS ONE BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER SEEN MY CAR'S AIRBAG DEPLOY, AND THE LETTER I HAVE DOES WARN ME THAT IT COULD POSSIBLY DEPLOY ABNORMALLY.

SO ANYWAY I REAR ENDED A VEHICLE WHILE STUCK IN SLOW MOVING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON I35 N IN AUSTIN TX. THIS HAPPENED AFTER THEY HAD WORKED ON MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG. I WAS NOT MOVING FASTER THAN 10MPH AND THE COLLISION IMPACT DID VERY MINIMAL DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE AND THE OTHER DRIVER'S VEHICLE. SINCE IT WAS BUMPER TO BUMPER RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY WE COULD NOT BE BOTHERED WITH WAITING FOR A POLICE REPORT. LIKE I SAID THE DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL BUT THE ACCIDENT DID CAUSE MY AIRBAG TO DEPLOY, WHICH DID CAUSE MINOR BURN INJURIES ON MY HANDS AND ARMS. THIS IS THE MOST MILD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFETIME YET IT IS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN AN AIRBAG DEPLOY, WHICH IS WHY I BELIEVE THERE MAY HAVE BEEN FLAWS WITH THE REPAIR JOB OR THE AIRBAG HAD MALFUNCTIONED. I HAVE ATTEMPTED NUMEROUS TIMES TO GET THE DEALERSHIP TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY LUCK. THEY KEEP SAYING THEY ALREADY FIXED IT AND I AM GOING TO HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE MY INSURANCE ALSO WILL NOT COVER THE COST OF REPLACING MY AIRBAG.
