Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)As I was driving on the highway I slowed down due to traffic and I noticed a drastic change in the brake system responsiveness Applying regular pressure to the brakes did not stop the car. A brake system warning message appeared and I had to apply both feet to the brakes to stop the vehicle.
THE CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB) WHICH DOES NOT WORK. 2 DEALERS HAVE FOUND NO CODES BUT SAY THEY HAVE NO WAY TO TEST ON THE ROAD. CALLED FORD AND THEY WERE NO HELP. REFERRED ME BACK TO THE DEALER.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
