CONSUMER HAS TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS OF FRAME MEMBERS AND BODY MOUNTS THREE TIMES. NOVEMBER 11, 96 WAS THE THIRD TIME. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE MOTOR MOUNTS SEPARATED AGAIN. DEALERSHIP---NEWINS BAY SHORE FORD--516-665-1300 HAS DONE THE REPAIRS ALL THREE TIMES, AND ARE SCHEDULED TO TAKE VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIRS AGAIN ON 06-17-98, FOR SAME DEFECT. THERE IS A RECALL FOR FRAME MEMBERS AND BODY--93-V-106-002. *AK *SLC
ABS BRAKE FAILURE, WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED, THEY PULSATE AND CAUSE VIBRATION AFTER DRIVING FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, *AK
OWNER HAS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSON, WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE AT SLOW SPEEDS, TRANSMISSION LOCKS UP AND VEHICLE JERKS, OWNER NOTES THAT ENIGINE DIES OUT AS A RESULT OF THIS. *AK
WAS PULLING INTO PARK LOT (SPOT) CAR STALLED . PLEASE DESCRIBE .

SUDDEN ACCELERATION, CAUSING ACCIDENT.
FAILURE ON THE BRAKE ROTORS, PADS, AND CALIPERS, THE BRAKE PADS, ROTORS AND CALIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED TOO OFTEN. *AK
DOES NOT IDLE DOWN AT VARIOUS TIMES. WOULD CONTINUE AT ABOUT 40 MPH IF BRAKES WERE NOT APPLIED

CRUISE CONTROL INOPERATIVE.
DURING VEHICLE OPERATION THE STEERING WAS LOOSE, AS A RESULT, THE FRONT RIGHT TIE ROD HAD BROKE. *AK
PURCHASED CAR NEW, THE ENGINE MOUNT CRACKED , CALLED FORD, THERE IS A RECALL AND THE LETTER WAS SENT, CONSUMER DIDN'T RECEIVE LETTER . PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK
REAR STRUTS FAILED.
LEFT FRONT CALIPER SEIZED, CAUSING PREMATURE DISC PAD FAILURE/SCORING OF ROTORS, ALSO RUST APPEARS IN BRAKE RESERVOIR.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FAILURE. ALSO REPLACED TIED ROD/ENGINE VALVE OVER AND CRACKED SERPENTINE BELT. *AK

BRAKES OVERHEAT AND SMELL LIKE BURNING AND PEDAL BECOMES VERY HARD, CONSUMER STATES THIS IS REFERRED TO AS PHANTOM VACUUM OBSTRUCTION, BRAKES STILL WORK, HOWEVER VEHICLE WILL ONLY ACCELERATE UP TO ABOUT 45 MPH. *SLC
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS DO NOT COME ON AT ALL TIMES AND SOMETIMES THEY STOP WORKING WHILE THEY ARE ON. *AK
I DID HIGHWAY DRIVING FOR 3 HOURS. I WENT TO EXIT, SLOWED DOWN, THE CAR'S ENGINE JUMPED AS I DROVE DOWN THE EXIT RAMP. AT THE END OF THE RAMP, THE CAR CONTINUED TO SPUTTER AND FINALLY THE TRANSMISSION GAVE. THE CAR ACTED LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. *AK

INNER TIE ROD SNAPPED/SHEARED, CAUSING LOSS OF STEERING.
FRONT AND REAR MOTOR MOUNTS BROKE TWICE CAUSING DAMAGE AND FAILURE OF THE CV-JOINT.
FRONT AND REAR MOTOR MOUNTS BROKE.
THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE PARKED IN A CARPORT. ELECTRICAL RELATED IN THE UNDER DASH AREA. *AK
1ST INCIDENT: ON OUR ABOUT JUNE12,1996 HEARD CLUNKING SOUND. TOOK VEHICLE TO WALKER FORD 17556 US 19 N., CLEARWATER, FL33764. THEY DETERMINED ENGINE MOUNT HAD BROKEN (27588 MILES) REPLACED FOR $177.80. 2ND INCIDENT: AUGUST 28,1999. DRIVING EAST ON DREW TAKING VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR REPAIR. NOISE BECAME SO GREAT TURNED VEHICLE AROUND TO RETURN SHORT DISTANCE HOME TO CALL TOW TRUCK. STOPPED FOR LIGHT CAR STALLED. STARTED CAR, WAS VERY WEAK. TURNED INTI PARKING LOT ON MY IMMEDIATE RIGHT. THE MOTOR MOUNTS BROKE TROWING ENGINE INTO THE HOOD AND BENDING THE LINKAGE CAUSING THE ENGINE TO REV TO 5000RPM . CAR WAS HEADED TOWARD BUILDING. TURNED ENGINE OFF AND STOPPED THE VEHICLE. THE ESTIMATED COST TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE IS $525.00 REMOUNT ENGINE. $1400 REPAIR A/C UNIT. $982 REPLACE HOOD. $400.00 ADDITIONAL REPAIRS. IF SOMEONE LESS EXPERIENCED THEN MYSELF THEY WOULD HAVE DRIVEN INTO THE BUILDING. HAD THIS HAPPENED TO ME ON THE INTERSTATE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A LIFE THREATENING SITUATION.*AK
THE IGNITION WILL NOT TURN COMPLETELY OFF, THE NOISE STILL SOUNDS WITH THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. CAN EVEN TURN THE AUTO ON JUST BY MANULLY TURNING THE KEY HOLDER. *AK CHECK THE ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. *YH
WHEN PROCEEDING FROM A STOP, VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND CLUNKED AND WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD OR REVERSE. *AK
RECALL RELATED, 93V106000, STRUCTURE FRAMES AND MEMBERS RECALL, MOTOR WENT INTO THE HOOD, ACCLERATOR STUCK. *AK CONSUMER DROVE VEHICLE WHEN ACCELERATOR STUCK AND SEEMED TO EXPLODE, CONSUMER TURNED THE KEY OFF AS THE BRAKES WOULD NOT STOP THE VEHICLE, THERE WERE SMALL PARTS AND ANTI-FREEZE IN A TRAIL OF APPROXIMATELY 80 FEET, CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED.*JB
STEERING WHEEL STARTED SHAKING AND LOST ITS POWER ONLY ON LONG RIDES. *AK
ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE VEHICLE, CONSUMER SMELL A VERY BAG BURNING, SMELL IN THE VEHICLE. *AK
FRONT SPRINGS THAT GO AROUND STRUTS SNAPPED WHILE DRIVING; CAUSED VEHICLE TO DROP DOWN ABOUT AN INCH ABOVE TIRES; CANNOT TURN VEHICLE, TIRES HIT WHEEL WELL.*AK
EXPERIENCED INTERMITTENT ABS FAILURE FROM DEAD STOP WHEN ACCELERATING AT INTERSECTION, FRONT BRAKES WON'T RELEASE, EQUIPPED WITH 4 WHEEL ABS. *AK THERE IS A TSB REGARDING THIS PROBLEM, THE FIX IS A BRAKE BOOSTER. *SLC
VEHICLE BRAKES FAILED AT 45,000 AND 72,000 MILES, DUE TO SEIZED REAR CALIPERS.
TRANSMISSION FAILED.
FAILURE ON THE DRIVER AND THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR, WHEN DRIVING THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR OPENS. *AK
RIGHT INNER TIE ROD SHAFT BROKE. *DSH
FAILURE ON THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELTS, THE SEAT BELTS DO NOT LOCK IN PLACE. *AK
THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING, AT ALL RPM'S AND AT ALL SPEEDS. THE DEALER IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. NOT ABLE TO CORRECT. *AK
