THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKE ROTORS ARE WARPING. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE CONSUMER NOTICED VIBRATION COMING FROM THE FRONT END. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
THERE WAS A NEW HEAD GASKET PUT ON THE VEHICLE FROM THE DEALER. TOOK THE VEHICLE HOME, AND THE FUEL WAS EMPTY IN THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS FUEL LEAKING, BUT CAN'T DETERMINE WHERE THE FUEL IS COMING FROM. *AK
ONE DAY WHILE STOPPED AT A LIGHT, THE CAR SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL THEN VIOLENTLY JUMPED INTO GEAR. SOMETIMES WHEN STARTING THEN SHIFTING INTO GEAR IT WOULD HESITATE THEN AGAIN VIOLENTLY JUMP INTO GEAR. FINALLY THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T MOVE, UNTIL IT COOLED OFF ABOUT A COUPLE OF DAYS.

THE PISTON IN TRANSMISSION WAS CRACKED ON THE HEAD, WHICH ALLOWED FLUID TO LEAK, CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION TO FAIL. DEALER IS AWARE OF DEFAULT, AND CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.
ONGOING / INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH ENGINE STALLING WHILE PULLING INTO STREET. VEHICLE BEEN IN DEALER'S SHOP ON FOUR OCCASIONS, AND PROBLEM STILL OCCURRING. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
UPON ACCELERATION VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE, THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN TRANSMISSION SLAMMED INTO GEAR, CAUSING WHIPLASH. QCAW

HAVE HAD TO HAVE 3 DIFFERENT FUEL PUMPS PUT ON CAR BETWEEN 7/97 AND 9/97. ALSO " ENGINE CHECK LIGHT COMES ON ON A FREQUENT BASIS, NEVER KNOW IF THERE IS A PROBLEM OR IF IT IS JUST LIGHTING UP. *AK
BRAKES FAILED WHILE DRIVING 20MPH ON SMOOTH SURFACE, NOT ENOUGH PRESSURE WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. *AK
THE KEY WILL GET STUCK IN THE IGNITION SWITCH. DEALER CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK

AIR CONDITIONER FAILED AFTER VEHICLE CRASHED. IMPACT WAS TO RIGHT CORNER BACK BUMPER. WOULD LIKE FORD TO SEND ANOTHER OWNER MANUAL.
WHENEVER THE VEHICLE COMES TO A STOP AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN ,CHANGES GEARS, OR SLOWS TO TURN A CORNER, THE ENGINE STALLS AND CUTS COMPLETELY OFF. DEALER CAN'T FIND SOLUTION. *AK
HEADLIGHT SWITCH FAILURE, OTHER 1994 TAURUS MODELS RECALLED FOR THIS FAILURE, HOWEVER CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS DENIED DUE TO VIN #.

CONSUMER COMPLAINED OF VAPOR LOCK BETWEEN FUEL PUMP AND THE INJECTOR. DEALER WAS AWARE AND REFUSED TO REPAIR UNLESS COST IS PICKED UP BY THE CONSUMER. COSUMER WILL SEND A COPY OF A TECHNICAL BULLETIN CONCERNING PROBLEM. *AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED OF SMELLING HEAVY GAS FUMES IN VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING/ OR USING THE AIR CONDITIONER. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN/OUT OF DEALER'S SHOP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, NOTHING COULD BE FOUNED. COSUMER HAS LEARNED OF A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN FROM FORD DEALER WITHIN CONSUMER'S STATE. *AK CONSUMER HAD AN AUXILIARY VAPOR TUBE SERVICE KIT INSTALLED, SO FAR PROBLEM HAS GONE AWAY. *SLC
CONTACTED DEALER, FOUND ONLINE THE TFI MODULE FAILURES IN OTHER FORD MODELS RECALLED BUT THE OTHER MODELS OF FORDS SOLD WITH THE SAME MODULE IN THEM WERE NOT RECALLED, WHY? MR
REAR ENGINE MOTOR MOUNTS FAILED.
VEHICLE WOULD MAKE NOISES WHILE DRIVING. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER. TRANSMISSION WAS DEAD & NEEDED WATER. ALSO, WATER PUMP & ENGINE HEAD GASKET NEEDED REPLACING. SERVICE BULLETIN #98MO1 FOR HEAD GASKET. *AK
FUEL PUMP FAILED, RECALL ITEM , NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR.
WHEN STOPPED AT STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE SURGES FORWARD WHILE FOOT IS ON THE BRAKE, JERKS FORWARD WHEN STEPPING ON GAS. DEALER CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK
I KNOW OF ONCE WHEN THE SECOND OWNER HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM AND HE HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED. WE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM TWICE OURSELVES, AND HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED BOTH TIMES. IT FAILED THE FIRST TIME WHILE I WAS AT THE GROCERY STORE IN 1997. THE SECOND TIME, I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY JUST AS I TRIED TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP LIGHT. THERE I WAS, IN THE MIDDLE OF HWY 25. BEFORE WE GOT IT FIXED THE SECOND TIME AND BEFORE WE FOUND OUT WHAT WAS REALLY GOING ON, MY SON HAD VEHICLE QUIT ON HIM IN A VERY BUSY INTERSECTION OF ST. CLOUD, AND AGAIN ON HIS WAY BACK WHILE DRIVING ON HWY 10. YOU CAN BE GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE CAR WILL QUIT RUNNING. YOU CAN RESTART IT WITHOUT IT QUITING ON YOU AGAIN. WHEN DISCUSSED WITH PREVIOUS OWNER HE TOLD US WHAT TO LOOK FOR BECAUSE THE PERSON HE TOOK IT TO TOLD HIM THAT IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE '94 SHO'S BUT THAT NO RECALL HAD EVER BEEN DONE. WE WERE TOLD NOT TO LET THE CAR'S GAS GET BELOW 1/4 IN THE WARM WEATHER BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT CAUSES THE FUEL PUMP TO FAIL. WE WERE TOLD IT IS AN ENGINEERING DESIGN PROBLEM THAT CAN'T BE FIXED. THAT WE WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP EVERY SUMMER. I CALLED FORD, THEY SAID NO RECALLS HAVE BEEN MADE. I CALLED A DEALER ON TECHNICAL PAPERS REGARDING THIS,- THEY SAID THEY HAD NO PAPERS REGARDING IT AND THAT I SHOULD CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER EVERY 25,000 TO 30,000 MILES. I HAVE DRIVEN MY OTHER VEHICLES AND NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE.
WHEN CONSUMER DRIVES VEHICLE AT ANY SPEED THEN SLOWS DOWN FOR TRAFFIC, HE PROCEEDS WITH DRIVING. BUT WHEN HE PRESSES THE GAS PEDAL THE VEHICLE WILL NOT SPEED UP. THERE IS A LOUD NOISE AS THE ENGINE RPMS GO UP, BUT THE VEHICLE DOES NOT CHANGE SPEED. *AK

EACH SUMMER, PURGE CYLINDER LEAKES GAS VAPORS INTO ENGINE COMPARTMENT WHICH GET DISCHARGED INTO A/C. WENT TODEALERSHIP 3 TIMES BEFORE WARRANTY RAN OUT ONLY TO BE TOLD NO PROBLEM CAN BE FOUND. WENT TO FORD DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING SUMMER AND WAS TOLD NOTHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT VAPORS EXCEPT MOVE PURGE CANNISTER TO REAR OF VEHICLE WHICH WOULD NOT DECREASE VAPOR EMMISSION BY ANY EXTENT. PROBLOM IS NOTICEABLE DURING SUMMER MONTHSWHEN VAPORS FILL THE CABIN. *AK
TRANSMISSION FAILURE, REBUILT INSTALLED, NOW REBUILT IS FAILING AT 20,000 MILES, SLOW TO UP-SHIFT, DOWN-SHIFTS HARD, HERKY-JERKY BELOW 40 MPH. *AK
VEHICLE CUTS OFF MAINLY IN SUMMER WHEN AIR CONDITIONING IS ON. INTERMITTENTLY WITH COOLER WEATHER VEHICLE ALSO CUTS OFF. VERY HAZARDOUS IN FAST TRAFFIC. MECHANICS TRIED TO REPLACE VARIOUS PARTS, BUT COULDN'T FIND A REMEDY.*AK
THE CONSUMERS STATED THAT SHE WAS AT THE LIGHT AND ANOTHER VECHICLE RAN INTO HE HEAD ON , TRYING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. THE AIRBAG DID DEPLOY. BUT THE AIRBAG HIT HER FACE THE CHEMICALS BURN FROM THE AIRBAG BURNED HER LEFT CHEEK AND BLEW HER EYE GLASSES OFF OF HER FACE. AND LEFT HER FACE NUMB, AND LEFT BURN MARKS ON THE BOTTOM OF HER CHIN. THE CAR IS TOTAL (VIOLENT DEPLOYMENT).. MJS
BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH WIRING CAME APART CAUSING THE GEAR SHIFT LEVER TO STICK INTO PARKED GEAR AND BRAKE LIGHTS TO BECOME INOPERABLE.
FAILURE HAPPENED WHEN BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY. FORD HAS NOT NOTIFIED ME OF ANY RECALLS. PLEASE ADVISE ME AS TO ACTION FOR RECEIPT OF RECALLS AND RECOURSE TO HAVE FORD COMPLETE THE RECALLS AT NO CHARGE. MY E-MAIL IS RKZAPHOR@JUNO.COM. NO SAFETY DEFECT LISTED. *AK

ALUMINUM PISTONS FAILED IN THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
ALUMINIUM PISTON FAILED CAUSING TOTAL TRANSMISSION FAILURE AND HAD TO BE REBULT. MFG HAS HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS OF THIS EXACT SAME NATURE AND I BELIEVE BASED ON CONVERSATIONS WITH MECHANICS INCLUDING FORD DEALER SHOP MECHANICS THAT THIS IS A COMMON AND SEVERE TRANSMISSION DESIGN DEFECT.
CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER IN REFERENCE TO RECALL NUMBER 98V00900, MANUFACTURER'S RECAL 98S01, HEADLIGHTS. ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS HEADLIGHTS MALFUNCTIONED.THE DEALER STATED PARTS NOT ARE AVAILABLE TO REMEDY PROBLEM. *AK
SEAT DESIGN CONTAINS VERY SPARP TRACKS WHICK EXPOSE, RESULTING IN CUT ON CONSUMER'S LEG.
WELDS BROKE SEVERAL TIMES ON THE SWAY BAR BRACKETS.
1988-1993 FORD HAS RECALLED MOTOR/ENGINE MOUNTS ON ALL 3.8 L ENGINES INSTALLED IN TAURUS, SABLE, & CONTINENTAL, PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS IN 94 MODEL BUT FORD WILL NOT COVER REPAIR. 3.8L ENGINE NOT OFFERED IN THESE AUTOS AFTER 95. WHEN TIMING CHAIN COVER GASKET FAILED COVER COULD NOT BE REMOVED, WAS BROKEN OFF, LOSING WATER PUMP IN PROCESS, NO COVERAGE FROM FORD. AT SAME TIME HEAD GASKETS REPLACED AT FORD EXPENSE. ENGINE FAILED TWO WEEKS LATER, FORD INSTALLED SHORT BLOC REPLACEMENT.
INTERMITTENTLY VEHICLE STALLS AND DIES WITHOUT WARNING. DEALER HAS INSPECTED VEHICLE, AND WAS NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE OR CORRECT THE PROBLEM.*AK THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM BUT THE CUSTOMER BELIEVES THE PROBLEM IS CAUSED BY IGNITION SYSTEM MODULE. *YH
CONSUMER ON HIGHWAY,DURING 35MPH DRIVE, HIT BROADSIDE, AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. NO INJURIES WAS RECEIVED. DEALER WAS NOTIFIED. *AK
