SPEEDOMETER IS UNRELIABLE AT SPEEDS OVER 45MPH. STARTED AT APPROX.55,000 MILES. *AK
WHEN DRIVING AT 20-30 MPH AND UPON ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A GRAUDAL STOP, VEHICLE CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. CONSUMER CONTACTED DEALER, DEALER STATED THAT METALLIC BRAKE LINE RUSTED OUT, CAUSING POOR BRAKE PERFORMANCE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
SPEEDOMETER JUMPS ERRADICALLY, REPLACED FIRST TIME AT 27,820 MILES, NOW THE 2ND ONE IS GOING BAD TOO AND WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ENGINE COMPLETELY STALLED WITHOUT ANY WARNING, CAUSE UNKNOWN. DEALER COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. *AK
THE ORIGINAL SPEEDOMETER AND NOW THE REPLACEMENT HAVE FAILED. AT ABOUT 50 MPH THE NEEDLE WILL SWING WILDLY BETWEEN 50 AND 75. A LOCAL FORD DEALER SAID FORD IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, THEY ARE FREQUENTLY REPLACING THE SPEEDOMETERS, BUT FORD WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL. THE COST OF EACH REPLACEMENT WILL BE BETWEEN $300 AND $800. *AK
WAS DRIVING VEHICLE WHEN ODOR OF ANTI-FREEZE CAME THROUGH AIR VENTS INSIDE OF VEHICLE. TOOK TO MECHANIC WHO INDICATED POSSIBLE HEATER CORE OR HEAD GASKETS CAUSING PROBLEM WHICH IS OR COULD BE REPARABLE. MEANWHILE OWNER HAS TO CONTINUALLY ADD ANTI-FREEZE TO VEHICLE TO PREVENT IT FROM HEATING UP. *AK

MUTLI FUNCTION TURN SIGNAL SWITCH KEEPS FAILING WITHOUT WARNING, CAUSING A LOSS OF OUTSIDE REAR TURN SIGNALS LIGHT . CONSUMER WAS UNAWARE OF FAILURE BECAUSE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT INSIDE OF VEHICLE WAS STILL WORKING, AND ALSO CAN HEAR IT WORKING. *AK
SERPENTINE BELT BROKE DUE TO EXTREME HEAT COMING FROM ENGINE THAT DRIED OUT THE BELT, CAUSING A LOSS OF POWER AND STEERING. *AK
THE ORIGINAL SPEEDOMETER BEGAN TO FLUCTUATE WILDLY AT HIGH SPEEDS AND WAS REPLACED, WITH ABOUT 21000 MILES ON THE REPLACEMENT SPEEDOMETER IT BEGAN TO FAIL AGAIN. NLM
SPEEDOMETER HAS FAILED TWICE. REPLACED AT 35,000 MILES UNDER WARRANTY. SECOND FAILURE NOT HONORED BY DEALER. AT SPEEDS ABOVE 40-45 SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE SWINGS WILDLY MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO JUDGE SPEED ACCURATELY. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE A COMMON THREAD WITH 1995 TAURUS OWNERS. PERHAPS WE HAVE A RECALL SITUATION HERE!

TOOK TO DEALERSHIP & MECHANIC REFUSED TO REPLAIR PROBLEM. INDICATED VEHICLE WAS TOO OLD TO REPAIR PROBLEM WITH AIR BAG.*AK

I HAVE A1995 FORD TARUS VIN 1FALP52UXSA 308916 MY LEFT TAIL LIGHT IS OUT. I BOUGHT A NEW BULB.I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET TO THE LIGHT TO REPLACE THE BULB.I WENT TO THE 389 PAGE OWNERS MANUAL.IT DOES NOT TELL YOU HOW CHANGE THE BULB.I CALLED FOR 18003923673. I SPOKE TO MISS ANESHA NO. 3086. SHE COULD NOT FIND IT IN THE MANUAL. I ASKED HER TO FIND OUT HOW I CHANGE A SIMPLE BULB SO I WONT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR GET A TICKET. SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FAX ME. SHE SAID SHE COULD NOT EMAIL ME. SHE SAID SHE COULD NOT CALL ME BACK OR HAVE ANYONE CALL ME OR FAXOR EMAIL ME.I WENT TO THE INTERNET FOR FORD WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH ANESHA. AND TRIED TO REGISTER SO I COULD SUBMIT MY QUESTION. SHE COULD NOT DO IT AND I COULD NOT DO IT. I T DID NOT ALLOW ME TO REGISTER A USA CAR. IT WOULD IF I WERE IN CANADA AND I COULD NOT DO IT.
