The contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that upon making a right turn into his driveway at 5 MPH, the power steering assist failed as the contact hit a bump in the driveway. Upon restart of the vehicle, the "power steering assist fault, service required" and the "service advance track" warning messages appeared on the instrument panel. The dealer had been notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 77,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that upon the start of his vehicle, the power steering assists fault warning message illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had to use excessive force to steer the vehicle. The contact had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed the failure and replaced the power steering gear assembly. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and informed him that his vehicle was not included in a recall. The vehicle had been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.
HVAC SYSTEM has malfunctioned. The system turns on but no fan motor, Heat, A/C, or defroster. Fogged windows have caused dangerous driving conditions An independent Service Center has confirmed this problem All other information is unknown
My vehicle engine stopped running in traffic and would not restart. I had the vehicle towed to my usual service shop. The reason the car stopped and would not restart was diagnosed as a failure of the fuel pump electric module (Ford part GA8Z 9D370 A). My service shop was advised by the Ford parts dealer that there was a recall (# 16V621000) in 2016 for that part. I contacted Ford and was advised that my vehicle VIN was not part of that recall. Do not know why. Certainly, a vehicle that stops running in traffic creates a safety hazard to that vehicle and other vehicle on the road.

The contact stated that while driving at a slow speed onto the main road, the power steering suddenly malfunctioned and the steering wheel became very difficult to turn in either direction. During the failure a message indicating power steering failure was displayed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 123,000.
I lost steering and turn light signal function completely. It started on the highway (I96) and the alert went off on the dashboard: Service Advance Trac, Steering Fault Service Now, Steering Loss Stop Safely. I got off exit for Nunica and loss turn signal and when I turned on 130th Street I was having a hard time turning the steering wheel. Thank God I made it to a location and was able to stop.
Over the weekend I noticed my steering was making a cluck noise from both the front and rear making the car very uncomfortable to ride and it kinda moves more left or a little right when on highway. I also noticed my check engine light came on. I took the car to get looked and the diagnosis read I have bad fuel pump line or evap dont know smell fuse of gas, gas gauge goes up an down. I was to notify NHTSA and to Report this incident and whether to see if theirs any Recall to my Vehicle. Please and thank you.
The power steering failed for no reason and i hit a curb.There is multiple complaints on the internet with this same issue..Very dangerous and it happened without warning if there was a pedestrian on the curb i could of hit them.
My brother was making a left turn at the intersection of 170th street.He had been traveling north on Torrence avenue in Lansing prior to the collision. He had come to a complete stop while waiting to safely complete a left turn to travel west on 170th street. As he proceeded through the intersection at 170th & Torrence avenue,a southbound vehicle ran through the stop signal and collided with the 2014 Taurus vehicle ,my brother was driving.After the contact the air bags in the 2014 ford Taurus did not deploy and the 2014 ford Taurus had spun around facing south,when it came to a complete stop
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. The contact stated while driving at undetermined speed, the vehicle was vibrating. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the tires were cupping and wearing unevenly, and the passenger’s side control arm and toe link needed to be replaced. Two local dealer was contacted however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact mentioned NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V072000 (Suspension) as a possible solution to the failure however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. The contact stated while entering the vehicle, she noticed that the front passenger's side window was cracked. The glass was replaced at the residence by Delhi Glass Repair mobile technician. Additionally, the contact stated while reversing, she noticed that the rear windshield was cracked at the center. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
HAD MY RACK AND PINION REPLACED BACK IN 11/18/2019, AND NOW THE SAME PROBLEM HAS OCCURED AGAIN. ON, APRIL 28TH I HAD A RECALL FOR THE HANDSHAFT FIXED AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. TWO DAYS LATER WHILE DRIVING MY STEERING COLUMN LOCKED WHILE TRYING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN TO ANOTHER STREET. AND AN ALERT STATING "STEERING ASSIST FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED" "SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC" FLASHED IN INFO CENTER. I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE THIS WAS A RECALL THAT OCCURED ON PREVIOUS MODELS AND THE RECALL ENDED WITH THE 2013 MODEL. OBVIOUSLY THE PROBLEM IS STILL OCCURING WITH THIS ELECTRICAL PART AND HAS YET TO BE ADDRESSED WITH FORD. NOT ONLY IS THIS A INCONVIENCE IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD AS WELL. I WAS IN TRAFFIC WHEN THIS OCCURED AND LUCKILY TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT WHEN THIS OCCURED BECAUSE THIS COULD HAVE ENDED WAY WORSE..
THE WATER PUMP ON OUT HOW TO REPLACE IT THEN AFTER THE CAR GOT FIXED THE LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON THEN MIGHT HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENGINE IF IT'S NOT THE OIL PUMP 145,000 MILES ON IT

Ford has just announced a recall for certain model year Taurus and Fusion vehicles regarding malfuntion of the backup camera. My 2014 Taurus is not included in the recall, notwithstanding the fact that it exhibits the same malfuntioning characteristics as those included in the recall: sometimes presenting a black screen, sometimes presenting an upsidedown image, and occasionally presenting a correct image. The camera began exhibiting these characteristics about four years ago. I believe that the recall population should be extended to include the 2014 Taurus.
THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE IS FAILING, WHICH IS CAUSING THE ENGINE TO NOT START AND OR KEEPS STALLING WHEN TURNING THE KEY. MY MECHANIC GAVE ME THE RECALL AND DIRECTED ME TO MY NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP, BUT WHEN GIVEN THE VIN NUMBER THEY SAID THERE IS 0 RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. THEREFOR THIS RECALL IS VIN SPECIFIC AND WILL NOT COVER MY REPAIRS. THE MECHANIC DID AGREE THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THE MAKE AND MODEL BUT NOT SPECIFIC TO MY VEHICLE. UPSETTING AND CONFUSED WHY MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL.
VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING, UNABLE TO RESTART. DUE TO LOSS OF POWER, LOST THE ABILITY TO BRAKE AND STEER EASILY. I WAS ON A CITY STREET AND ENTERING AN INTERSECTION WHEN I LOST POWER. THERE IS AN EXISTING SAFETY RECALL NOTICE: 16S31 FOR 2013-2015 FORD TAURUS MADE IN CHICAGO WHICH MY VEHICLE WAS. MY DEALER IS ADVISING THAT MY VIN IS NOT PART OF THAT CAMPAIGN THOUGH ALL ITEMS FITS THE RECALL. MY CAR IS A TAURUS, IT IS A 2014, IT WAS MADE IN CHICAGO AND THE PART FAILED WHILE DRIVING WHICH COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A CRASH.
WAS PULLING UP TO A STOPLIGHT IN TOWN, THE IN DASH LIT UP WITH "ELECTRIC STEERING ASSIST FAIL" AND MY STEERING WHEEL STIFFENED UP AS IF I LOST POWER STEERING, I STOPPED, CYCLED THE KEY AND THE POWER STEERING RETURNED. THERE WAS NO PRIOR WARNING OR IN DASH LIGHTS TO THIS INCIDENT. A WEEK WENT BY WITH NO INCIDENT OR SIGN OF TROUBLE. WAS REVERSING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT 7 DAYS LATER AND THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. I CYCLED THE KEY AGAIN, AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. I JUST LEFT THE FORD SERVICE CENTER AND AND THEY PULLED THE CODE C200D:49. SINCE THE LATEST INCIDENT, THERE HAS BEEN NO PROBLEM. I DECLINED THE REPAIRS AS THEY WERE $2200 AND I KNOW FORD HAS RECALLED PREVIOUS YEARS OF MY VEHICLE FOR THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM.
CAR WOULD NOT START. AFTER TWO SEPARATE TOWS TO DEALERSHIP, FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE WAS FOUND TO BE FAULTY AND WAS REPLACED. THIS PART WAS RECALLED ON OTHER 2014 TAURUS' IN RELATION TO 16V62100. THE FAULTY PART FROM MY VEHICLE MATCHES THE NUMBERS IN THE RECALL LETTER FORD MOTOR CO. SENT TO DEALERSHIPS. FORD AND LOCAL DEALERSHIP ARE DEIGNING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THIS REPAIR
THE POWER STEERING EPAS WENT OUT WHIE DRIVING AT 40MPH. VERY DIFFICULT TO GET OF THE ROAD SAFELY. THERE WAS NO WARNING OR ERROR CODES. IT JUST WENT OUT AND WE PARKED THE CAR. WE WERE ON A SECONDARY HIGHWAY.

MY FUEL PUMP WENT BAD. MY VEHICLE IS NO LONGER OPERATING AND I THINK THAT THE FUEL PUMP FOR MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED FOR A RECALL. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 1, 2016. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-866-436-7332. FORD'S NUMBER FOR THIS RECALL IS 16S31. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO KERRY FORD, INC (155 W KEMPER RD, CINCINNATI, OH 45246) WHERE THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY. LESS THEN TWO WEEKS LATER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED, WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART AFTER THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER. THEY THEN DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE WITH A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP. THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. UPON RESEARCH, THE CONTACT LINKED HIS FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V621000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER WHO INFORMED HIM THAT HIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.
WE ARE RECEIVING A ERROR ON OUR DASH; THAT READS POWER STEERING ASSIST. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE STEERING WHEEL GET HARD TO TURN. I SEE THAT IT HAD A RECALL ON THE 2010-2013, ANYWAY TO GET THE 2014 INCLUDED.
CAR IS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY, AND WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR WILL NO LONGER START. CAR ATTEMPTS TO START AND CRANKING LAST FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 SECONDS, BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. SEARCHES ONLINE AS TO THE CAUSE LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THIS IS THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE, A FAULTY PART AT THE CENTER OF SAFETY RECALL 16S31. HOWEVER MY MODEL IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL.
CATALYTIC CONVERTER BOTH OF THEM ONE OUT ON MY CAR LESS THAN 145,000 MILES
WORKING ON 3RD FUEL PUMP , AND ALSO 2 FUEL RELAYS AND A CANISTER .. KEEPS STALLING LEAVING ME STRANDED. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFOR 06/28/2020
WE WERE RETURNING TO OUR FARM FROM A TRIP TO TOWN. THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET AT THE 70MPH SPEED LIMIT. A RECENT CONSTRUCTION PROJECT GAVE US A NEWLY PAVED ROAD. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SUNNY DAY WITH NO WIND AND TEMPS IN THE LOW 80'S. WE WERE ENJOYING THE RIDE AND NOTED WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT THE NEWLY PAVED ROAD WAS. WITHOUT WARNING THE TIRES BEGAN SQUEALING AND THE CONTROL CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR TAURUS CHANGED DRAMATICALLY. THE STEERING BECAME LABORED (I BELIEVE FROM THE AUTOMATED ANTI LOCK AND TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGAGEDING). MY ATTEMPT TO COMPENSATE FOR THE VIOLENT CHANGE IN VEHICLE OPERATION AND REGAIN CONTROL WERE QUICKLY FUTILE. WE SUCCUMBED TO THE LAWS OF MOTION SPINNING HOPELESSLY OUT OF CONTROL ACROSS THE ONCOMING LANE INTO THE OPPOSITE DITCH AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. MIRACULOUSLY WE THERE WAS NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND WE DIDN'T PLUNGE INTO THE MYRIAD OF STEEP TERRAIN CONDITIONS COMMON ON THIS STRETCH OF HIGHWAY. WE DID NOT ROLL BUT CAME VIOLENTLY TO REST ON THE FAR UPSLOPE OF THE OPPOSITE ROADSIDE DITCH. MY LATER RESEARCH FOR THE CAUSE OF OUR SUDDEN LOSS OF CONTROL PRODUCED THE NHTSA RECALL NO. :20V-072 WHICH IDENTIFIED THE REAR TOE LINK ON CERTAIN FORD MODELS AS SUBJECT TO FAILURE. I LATER CONFIRMED THE DRIVER SIDE REAR TOE LINK HAD SNAPPED ON OUR TAURUS AND WAS THE CAUSE OF OUR ACCIDENT.
BACK UP CAMERA GLITCHES EITHER UPSIDE DOWN, ALL BLACK, OR BLUE. SAYING VISIT DEALERSHIP. THIS EFFECT THE SENSORS WHEN BACKING UP. MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH THE 6TH GENERATION FORD TAURUS. WHEN YOU GO TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY TELL YOU IT'S A $250 PART WITH A ADDITIONAL $50 LABOR. FORD KNOWS THIS IS A PROBLEM, I PERSONALLY THINK IT SHOULD BE RECALLED.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 68,000.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DIVERS FUEL PUMP MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REPAIR WAS STILL PENDING. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V621000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 194,000.
OCCURS EVERY 2000 TO 3000 MILES WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO STOP. AS I GET NEAR THE IDLE SPEED (2-3 MPH) WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDDLE THE ENGINE STARTS TO REV UP AND PULL THE CAR FORWARD. I HAVE TO THROW THE TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL AND THE ENGINE RPM'S SPIKE UP TO 5000 TO 6000 AND THEN IMMEDIATELY SETTLES OUT TO AN IDLE SPEED. I HAD A TUNEUP DONE AT 100K MILES AND PART OF THE SERVICE WAS TO "RESET" THE COMPUTER SYSTEM. THE SHOP RAN A FULL DIAGNOSTIC. THIS DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. I'M AT ABOUT 118K MILES NOW. THIS PROBLEM STARTED TO OCCUR AFTER ABOUT 75K MILES DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2018.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. I JUST PULLED OUT OF A PARKING SPACE TRAVELING 5 MPH MAKING A SHARP TURN, SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND DRIVER ASSIST FAILURE REQUIRES MAINTENANCE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON FOLLOWED BY TRACTION CONTROL NEEDS SERVICING. NOW IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE AT ANY SPEED AS THE VEHICLE DEFAULTED TO MANUAL STEERING. LUCKY I WASN'T AT HIGH SPEED. 61000 MILES AT TIME OF INCIDENT
POWER ASSIST IS DEFTLY, LOSING POWER WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO TURN, VERY TOUGH TO TURN HALF THE TIME. THE HAVE A RECALL FOR IT BUT FOR THE YEARS 2011-13 WHEN 2014 SHOULD BE INCLUDED THERE'S A LOT OF OTHERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS.
CAME TO A GAS STATION TO PUT IN GAS. THEN TURNED ON THE CAR AND THE POWER STEERING DIED AND GOT A WARNING ADVANCETRAC ISSUE. WAS NOT ABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND HAD IT TOWED.
THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. GOT A WARNING ABOUT THE ISSUE AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND WARNING SAID TO PULL OVER SAFELY. ONCE I STOPPED AND SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING.
AFTER FUELING UP, STARTED CAR(2014 TAURUS) TO LEAVE AND WAS UNABLE TO TURN STEERING WHEEL. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER PANEL STATED THERE WAS A POWER STEERING FAILURE AND SERVICE WAS REQUIRED. WAS ABLE TO DRIVE AWAY FROM PUMPS WITH NO STEERING TO PARK OUT OF THE WAY. AFTER 20 MINUTES AND RESTARTING THE CAR WAS ABLE TO CLEAR THE FAILURE MESSAGE BY CLICKING ON THE "OK" ACKNOWLEDGING THE FAILURE AND THE STEERING CAME BACK. NOT SURE IF IT WAS THE CLICKING ON THE "OK" THAT RELEASED THE STEERING OR NOT. DROVE THE CAR HOME AT GREAT RISK AND HAVE IT SCHEDULED FOR SERVICE ON WED 3/42020. FROM INVESTIGATING THE PROBLEM IT APPEARS FORD SHOULD BE FORCED TO DO A RECALL ON THIS MODEL AND THE PROBLEM, THEY DID FOR THE 2011, 2012 AND 2013 MODEL THEY NEED TO INCLUDE THE 2014. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY SHOULD COVER THIS BUT IT APPEARS TO CLEARLY BE A FORD DESIGN/ENGINEERING PROBLEM FORD SHOULD PAY FOR.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD TAURUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL MODULE OF THE VEHICLE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO VAN DRUNEN FORD DEALER, (3233 183RD ST, HOMEWOOD, IL 60430, (708) 798-1668) AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THE FUEL PUMP MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 137,000.
FOR THE PAST 3-4 MONTHS MY VEHICLE HAS A PROBLEM ON START UP (HOT AND COLD) PRESSING GAS AND ACCELERATION ON STREET, HIGHWAY, MERGING INTO TRAFFIC, ETC - CAR RUNS VERY ROUGH, SPUTTERS, HESITATES AND STALLS. EVENTUALLY, ON JANUARY 7, 2020 MY VEHICLE DID NOT START AT ALL. IT CRANKED BUT STILL WOULD NOT START. HAD BATTERY CHECKED (WHICH WAS STRONG AND FINE) AND HAD RECENT FULL TUNE-UP DONE WITHIN THE PAST 30 DAYS OF THIS COMPLAINT. HAD TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM AT LEAST THREE(3) TIMES WITH NO RESULT EXCEPT TO PAY MONEY FOR THINGS THAT DID NOT NEED TO BE DONE.
WHILE VEHICLE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IT SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND STOPPED. VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE PUSHED OFF OF THE ROADWAY AND FOUND TO HAVE A FAULTY FUEL PUMP MODULE.
I HAVE PURCHASED 4 AFTERMARKET RIMS WITH 4 TIRES FROM A LOCAL TIRE DEALER IN MARCH 2018. I HAD A SLOW LEAK IN ONE TIRE AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS A CRACKED RIM. THAT WAS APPROX TWO WEEKS AGO. LAST SATURDAY NIGHT I HAD ANOTHER TIRE GO SOFT. ANOTHER RIM CRACKED. THE DEALER I PURCHASED THE RIMS FROM HAS PUT TWO NEW RIMS (SAME MANUFACTERER) I WENT ON THE FACEBOOK PAGE FOR THIS COMPNAY AND I SEE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER CONSUMERS REGARDING CRACKED AND PARTIALLY SEPERATED SPOKES FROM THIS MANUFACTERER. I HAVE PICTURES AND VIDEO OF THE FAILURE, I BELIEVE AN INVESTIGATION IS WARRANTED BECAUSE THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR A COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE WHEEL WHICH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIEDENT AND OR INJURY AND DEATH. THE VEHICLE HAS STRUGGLED TO START AFTER REFUELING AT A GAS STATION WITH A HICCUPING TYPE FEELING, AS WELL AS BEING INCONSISTENT ON POWER UNDER ACCELERATION. SOMETIMES VERY SLOW WITH A SUDDEN PULL, SOMETIMES QUICK AND RESPONSIVE, IT VARIES A LOT BY DAY.
MY 2014 TAURUS LIMITED STARTED MAKING A POPPING NOISE WHEN TURNING, I HAD THE CV JOINT, TIE RODS, AND STRUTS REPLACED. THE CAR HASN'T BEEN DRIVEN OVER 50 MILES SINCE REPAIRS WERE DONE.. IT HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN SINCE. I BACKED DOWN MY DRIVEWAY THEN THE STEERING IS MAKING A TERRIBLE NOISE AND LOOSES CONTROL DURING MID TURN. THIS IS AFTER I HAVE REPLACE THE CV JOINTS, TIE RODS AND THE STRUTS. NOW THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME I NEED TO REPLACE THE RACK AND PINION. A COST $1700 AT 139,000 MILES. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND IS A WELL KNOW ISSUES WITH FORD. WHY HASN'T A RECALL BE ANNOUNCED. THIS HAS MADE A LOYAL FORD OWNER DECIDE THIS WILL BE MY LAST FORD.
WENT TO START VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE'S FUEL PUMP DID NOT MAKE A SOUND. CHECKED THE FUSES TO THE FUEL PUMP AND THEY CHECKED OUT GOOD. TOOK A POWER PROBE TO THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL PUMP WORKED. DISCOVERED IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP RELAY BEHIND REAR SEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE. REPLACED AND IT FIXED THE ISSUE.
