CONSUMER HAS GOTTEN BRAKES REPAIRED OVER 15 TIMES. EACH TIME BRAKES ONLY LASTED ONE MONTH. ALSO RUINING ROTORS AND PADS. ALSO, VEHICLE PULLS TO ONE SIDE, SHAKES AND ACTS LIKE IT IS STUCK IN NEUTRAL. DOOR SLIDING LOCKS AND UNLOCKS ON ITS OWN, NO EXIT AT TIMES.
MIDDLE SEAT AND PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELTS FAILED.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE. ABS LIGHT COMES ON, REAR HATCH FAILING TO OPEN, IGNITION SWITCH FAILING TO START VEHICLE, BLOWER MOTOR FAILURE, FRONT BRAKE PADS WEAR QUICLY, AND HOOD RECALL.
THE INTEGRATED CHILD SAFETY SEAT WOULDN'T WORK, CONSUMER TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHO COULDN'T DO ANYTHING . PLEASE DESCRIBE .*AK

VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, AND KEYS WERE OUT OF IGNITION. *AK
WHEN DRIVING ON WET AND DRY PAVEMENT, THE BRAKE PEDAL FADES, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. *AK
WHEN DRIVING THE ABS BRAKES AND TRACTION OFF, LIGHT COMES ON, THE BRAKES SEEM TO GRAB AND THE VEHICLE SLOWS DOWN AND SUDDENLY STOPS WITH NO INTENTION OF STOPPING. *AK

AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AT 55 DUE TO HITTING A DOG ON BUMPER, NO DAMMAGE. DRIVER HAD RINGING IN EARS FOR ONE WEEK. *AK
WENT ATTEMPTED TO PUT VEHICLE IN REVERSE VECHILCE WENT FORWARD. TRIED SIX TIMES SHUT OFF VEHCILE REMOVE KEY AND RESTARTED IT WAS FINE. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS.

POWER STEERING PUMP FAILED RESULTING IN NOISE.
DOOR LOCK DESIGN ALLOWS DOORS TO BE OPENED FROM INSIDE WHEN LOCKED.
THIS VEHICLE HAS A SOFT (SPONGY) BRAKE PEDAL, WHICH RESULTS IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCES DURING HARD OR PANIC STOPS. THIS WAS EMPHASIZED RECENTLY WHEN WE NARROWLY AVOIDED AN ACCIDENT ON THE INTERSTATE. THE LACK OF BRAKING EFFECTIVENESS IS NOT SO OBVIOUS DURING NORMAL DRIVING. WE HAVE REQUESTED THE DEALER TO REPAIR THIS, ORIGINALLY SHORTLY AFTER THE PURCHASE, AND JUST A WEEK AGO WHEN THE FRONT BRAKE PADS WERE REPLACED. REPLACING THE BRAKE PADS DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER SEEMS UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND OR CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM RELATES TO YOUR EA 96026; AND I HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS IN YOUR FILE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY DEFECT. *AK
THE FRONT WINDSHIELD THE BOTTOM PART IN COLD WEATHER AND WINDSHIELD BLADE WOULDN'T DEFROST . TT
BRAKES FADED, CAUSING ACCIDENT.
ABS PROBLEMS; WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS THERE IS A GRINDING SOUND AND THE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOORBROAD, AND MORE STOPPING DISTANCE IS REQUIRED. DEALER STATED THAT THE BRAKE CALIPERS WERE MISSING AND WERE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. CONSUMER IS STILL EXPERIENCING A BRAKING PROBLEM. *AK
10/20/95 TRUCK WAS LEFT IN PARK WITH THE KEYS REMOVED THE TRUCK ROLLED BACKWARDS 60 FEET AND HIT ANOTHER CAR NO DAMMAGE. DEALER FIXED THE CABLE,TRUCK ROLL AGAIN
PINCH POINT ON REAR DOOR UPON OPENING. OWNER HAS TO OPEN WITH PALM AND SQUEEZE UPWARD WITH FOUR FINGERS, STILL PINCHING MOTION. *AK

WINDSHIELD WIPERS DO NOT WORK WHEN THERE IS A LITTLE SNOW OR RAIN. VISIBILITY IS VERY POO/BLADES ICE UP AND BECOME COATED WITH SNOW AND WILL NOT FUNCTRION PROPERLY.WINDSHIELD WIPER AND DEFROSTER DON'T SEEM TO WORK. *AK
CALLED A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, PARTS NOT AVAILABLE AND NO INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MAUFACTURER ON PERFORMING RECALL 96V086000. *AK
CONSUMER STATED THAT DUE TO A FACTORY DEFECT, THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED. IT WAS BROUGHT TO CONSUMERS ATTENTION BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAD A FACTORY RECALL ON THE 1994 AND 1995 MODELS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. *YD *NM

THE CONSUMER REQUESTED ASSISTANCE TO GET FORD TO EXTEND THEIR HEAD GASKET RECALL TO INCLUDE THE 1996 FORD WINDSTAR. THE GASKET ON THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. *NLM *JB

VEHICLE HAD CONSTANT ENGINE PROBLEMS ALONG WITH OTHER PROBLEMS THAT SURFACED AND ENDED ITS LIFE CYCLE. *LA THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED COOLANT LEAKS, HARD STARTING, ELECTRICAL NOISES, RADIO NOISES, VIBRATION UPON ACCELERATION ALONG WITH THUMPING NOISES, ERRATIC DASH LIGHT ILLUMINATION, INTERMITTENT DOOR AJAR LIGHT, BEARING NOISE AND THE ENGINE BLEW OUT PREMATURELY. *SC *JB FROM A NORMAL SITTING POSITION THE CONSUMER COULD NOT SEE THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. IT WASN'T UNTIL HE DROPPED SOMETHING ON THE FLOOR AND LOOKED UP THAT HE SAW THE LIGHT ON. *NM
1996 WINDSTAR MINIVAN PARK PAWL PIN IS DEFECTIVE. GEAR MOVED OUT OF PARK HITTING CONSUMER. *TS A RECALL HAD BEEN ISSUED REGARDING THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD HER VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. *JB
