UPON IMPACT, DURING FRONTAL CRASH AT APPROX. 35MPH, 9:00 ON FRONT BUMPER, DIRVIER'S/PASSENGER'S AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, HOWEVER, DRIVER'S AIRBAG DEPLOYED ONTO THE LEFT ARM OF DRIVER, CAUSING WOUNDS AND BRUISES. *AK

UPON APPLYING FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE PEDAL WILL CONTINUE TO MANEUVER, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE AND BRAKES FADE AWAY. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *AK

CONSUMER SAYS THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT GO INTO REVERSE WHEN STOPPING, IT SHIFTS DOWN WITH A LOUD THUMP, ALSO WHEN PUTTING VEHICLE IN GEAR THERE'S A LOUD THUMP. WHEN DRIVING VEHICLE TRANSMISSION SLIPS, ENGINE CONTINUES RACING AND THE VEHICLE'S NOT MOVING. *AK
THE SPECIAL REAR SEATS ARE SO TIGHT WHEN FOLDED DOWN INTO A CHILD SAFETY SEAT THAT IT CUTS CHILDS CIRCULATION OFF ALMOST CHOKING HIM/HER.
OWNER STATES WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE IT STARTED TO SHAKE. OWNER ALSO NOTED THAT VEHICLE WENT OFF A BRIDGE BECAUSE THE STEERING KNUCKLE ARM BROKE.OWNER IS VERY CONCERNED FOR HER SAFETY. *AK
OWNER STATES WHILE BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY HER REAR AXLE BROKE. OWNER ALSO NOTES THAT DEALER SAID IT WAS FROM A POTHOLE. *AK
DESIGN OF INTEGRATED CHILD SEAT'S CHEST CLIP ALLOWS IT TO BE EASILY PUSHED BY CHILD'S FEET, FREEING CHILD TO/ STAND UP/GET OUT.
MIDDLE/REAR SEATS DO NTO HAVE HEADRESTS.
MICHELIN TIRE BLEW OUT AT 5000 MILES. (P20570R15)
FACTORY INSTALLED PUSH-ROD, BETWEEN THE BRAKE PEDAL AND MASTER CYLINDER, WAS NOT THE PROPER PART (IT WAS TOO LONG). THE RESULT OF THIS ERROR HAS CAUSED FAILURE TO THE ABS SYSTEM.
VEHICLE'S FRONT DISC BRAKES HAVE PREMATURE WEAR AND TEAR AT 12,000. THE BRAKES HAD TO BE REPLACED. DEALER STATED THAT OTHER WINDSTARS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. *AK
OWNER HAS ABS BRAKES; WHILE APPLYING BRAKES, BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR. ALSO, FULL PRESSURE WAS APPLIED TO BRAKE PEDAL WITH NO RESULTS. OWNER FURTHER NOTES THAT BRAKE ROTORS AND PADS WERE REPLACED. OWNER IS VERY CONCERNED FOR SAFETY. *AK
CHILDREN EASILY SLIP OUT OF HARNESS OF INTEGRATED CHILD SEAT.
OWNER HAS ABS BRAKES.0 VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. BRAKES WERE APPLIED, BUT DID NOT STOP VEHICLE. PEDAL WENT COMPLETELY TO FLOOR. ALSO ABS LIGHT CAME ON AT TIME OF ACCIDENT. CAUSE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. *AK
WHEN THE INTEGRATED CHILD SAFETY SEAT IS LOCKED A GREEN INSERT IS SHOWN. WHEN LOCKING THE CSS THE GREEN INSERT SHOWS, BUT WHEN TUGGING ON THE STRAPS TO MAKE SURE THAT THE CHILD IS BUCKLED IN PROPERLY, THE BUCKLE SEPARATES VERY EASILY. *AK
TRANSMISSION FAILED.
BRAKES FAILED.
BRAKE PADS FAILED.
BRAKE/ABS WARNING LIGHT ON.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKES FAIL CONTINUOUSLY, CAUSING ACCIDENT.
THE AUTOMACTIC LOCKS WILL NOT UNLOCK WHEN USING THE MANUFACTURER'S KEY. THE VAN HAS BEEN REPAIRED (8) TIMES WITHIN THE LAST YEAR FOR THIS PROBLEM, SCHEDULED FOR APPOINTMENT AGAIN ON DECEMBER 20, 1997. *AK
ANTI LOCK BRAKES LOCK UP.
RECALL NO. 97V180000; THERE IS NO SIGN THAT THAT RECALL WORK HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE. *AK
THE VEHICLE HIT A DEER AND THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED, INJURYING THE PASSENGER'S RETNA. DEALER HAS NOT SEEN. *AK
NO FAILURE IDENTIFIED.
WINDSHIELD FAILED RESULTING IN CRACK.
ABS SYSTEM FAILED.
THE CRUISE CONTROL HAD AN ELECTRICAL SHORT AND THE BRAKES FAILED.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE.
VEHICLE REQUIRES FRONT BRAKES EVERY 10,000 MILES, ROTORS LASTED ONLY 25,000 MILES, REAR BRAKES LASTED ONLY 8,000 MILES. MILEAGE/DRIVING HABITS ARE NOT WEARING OUT TIRES - ORIGINAL TIRE ARE FINE.
ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON AND THE LOCK THE BRAKES.
WHEN APPLYING THE ABS BRAKES THE PEDAL NEARLY TRAVELS TO THE FLOOR, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALER CANNOT IDENTIFY ANY PROBLEM. *AK CONSUMER STATES THAT THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE FROM THE FRONT BRAKES. CONSUMER ALSO STATES THAT THE STEERING WHEEL IS VERY DIFFICULT TO USE. *SLC
ABS BRAKE PROBLEMS; INTERMITTENTLY, WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE BRAKES LOCK UP. THIS HAPPENS UNDER NORMAL BRAKING CONDITIONS, NORMAL BRAKING SITUATION AND DRY ROADS. THE DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO DETECT A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM. TAKEN TO DEALER ON 1/17/97 ,9/15/97, 11/4/97 AND 4/1/98. BRAKES LOCKED UP AGAIN ON 5/19/98. DEALER NOT ABLE TO CORRECT BRAKE PROBLEM. *AK
WHILE DRIVING INNER TIE ROD BROKE, CAUSING THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE WHEEL TO FALL OFF, RESULTING IN DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYING. CONSUMER WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS. PLEASE PROVIDE DETAILS. *AK
ABS BRAKES FAILED, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTACE/BRAKES FADING. ALSO WARPED FRONT BRAKE ROTORS, CAUSING VIBRATION WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED.
KELLY-SPRINGFIELD SUPERGUARD GT P205/70R15 TIRE BLEW OUT PRIOR TO RECALL REPAIRS. HOWEVER, TIRE SERIAL NUMBER DID NOT MATCH THE RECALL SERIAL NUMBERS AS STATED IN RECALL LETTER. DEALER DID REPLACE TIRE.

FUSE CONTINUES TO BURN FOR THE OVERDRIVE CANCEL SWITCH ON THE GEARSHIFT.
VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN FOR REPAIR OF THE FRONT END SUSPENSION SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT REMEDY OF THE FAILURE.
ABS WARNING LIGHT WAS ON . DEALER HAS REPAIRED THE BRAKES 5 TIMES. IT IS A REPEATING PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE FUTHER INFORMATION. *AK
THE SAFETY BELTS LOCATED ON THE RIGHT FRONT, AND THE REAR SEATS, LOCK UP WHILE RIDING NORMALLY IN THE VEHICLE, ACTUALLY SQUEEZING THE OCCUPANT, SO THE OCCUPANT HAS TO REMOVE THE SEAT BELT AND THEN REFASTEN IT DUE TO THE PENDILUM LOCKING UP. ALSO IF YOU ARE SITTING IN THE SEAT WITH THE SEAT BELT ON, AND LEAN FORWARD TO PICK SOMETHING UP, IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY LOCK UP, AND AGAIN YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE SEAT BELT, AND THEN REFASTEN IT. I HAVE CONTACTED THE FREEDOM FORD DEALER, AND THEY ADVISED ME, THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO! I AM A POLICE OFFICER, AND HAVE ATTENDED NUMEROUS TRAINING COURSES, AND KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT THE PROPER WAY THAT THE SEAT BELT OPERATES, AND EXPLAINED THAT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT PERSONAL, BUT THEY DISMISSED MY COMPLAINT, AND STATED, DO WHAT EVER YOU HAVE TO!.
