2 RIMS FAILED CAUSING SLOW LEAK.
BRAKE ROTORS REPLACED THREE TIMES, BRAKE PADS REPLACED FIVE TIMES.
BRAKES CONTINUE TO SQUEEK WHEN DRIVING. THEY CAN LUBRICATE THEM WHICH ONLY LASTS SIX MONTHS. THEN THEY START SQUEEKING AGAIN. THE ONLY TIME IT IS QUIET IS WHEN YOU HAVE THE BRAKES APPLIED. THIS SEEMS TO BE A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT.
VEHICLE HIT A DEER ON DRIVER'S SIDE AT 20MPH AND NEITHER DRIVER'S SIDE OR PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES. DEALER CANNOT IDENTIFY PROBLEM. *AK
AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS VEHICLE VIBRATES UNCONTROLLABLY. DRIVER HAS TO CUT THE VEHICLE OFF TO STOP VIBRATION. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK

WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE THE TIRE WAS FLAT, TOOK TIRE FOR REPAIR AND CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT THE TIRE WAS FLAT BECAUSE THE WHEEL RIM HAD SPLIT NEAR ONE OF THE WELDS, UNWELDED AND CAME APART. *AK

WHEN VEHICLE IS TURNED ON IN THE START POSITION KEY CAN BE REMOVED WITHOUT RETURNING TO THE OFF POSITION. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED, THE IGNITION HAS BEEN CHANGED, AND NEW KEYS HAS BEEN MADE. THIS TILL HAPPENS. *AK
BOTH ENGINE HEAD GASKETS HAVE BLOWN AT 69,000 MILES, CAUSING ANTI-FREEZE TO LEAK ONTO SPARK PLUGS. OWNER WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. *AK *ML
SPEEDOMETER FLOATS AND DOES NOT READ THE RIGHT SPEED THAT THE VEHICLE IS REALLY TRAVELING. IT READS 20MPH MORE THAN WHAT IT IS DOING. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK

WHEN CLOSING THE SLIDING DOOR ALL OTHER DOORS LOCK WITHOUT OPERATOR OPERATING THE DOOR LOCK FUNCTION, THUS, LOCKING THE PARENTS OUT VEHICLE. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
WHEN YOU PUT THE CAR IN PARK, ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE CAR LURCHES FORWARD OR BACKWARD (DEPENDING UPON INCLINE OF VECHICLE ON A HILL) AND THE SLIDING DOOR, IF OPENED, FORCEFULLY ROLLS AND SLAMS SHUT. SOMEONE EXITING THE VEHICLE CAN BE SERIOUSLY INJURED, AS CAN ANYONE (ESPECIALLY CHILDREN) STANDING IN FRONT OR BEHIND THE VEHICLE WHEN IT LURCHES. MY SON WAS INJURED WHEN THE DOOR SLAMMED SHUT AS HE WAS EXITING THE CAR AFTER I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND ENGAGED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE BUT BEFORE I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL. I HAVE ASKED THE DEALER TO CORRECT THIS OBVIOUS DANGEROUS CONDITION SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THEIR RESPONSE HAS BEEN THAT I SHOULD ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE BEFORE I PUT THE VEHICLE IN "PARK" - A PROCESS MOST PEOPLE DO NOT USE WHEN PARKING A CAR. *AK

CONSUMER NOTICED A VERY BAD ODOR IN THE PASSENGER'S COMPARTMENT. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER, DEALER UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. *AK *ML
THE SPEEDOMETER WAVERS WILDLY FROM 55 TO 110 WITH NO INCREASE IN VEHICLE SPEED. THIS MAY BE CAUSED BY OIL NOT BEING INJECTED PROPERLY DURING MANUFACTURING. NLM
WHILE DRIVING OR WHEN VEHICLE IS IN DIFFERENT GEARS , DOOR AJAR CHIME WILL SOUND WHEN THE DOORS ARE ACTUALLY CLOSED. ALSO, THE ABS BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATES, INDICATING A MALFUNCTION WITHIN THE ABS SYSTEM. CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK

ENGINE REPAIRED AT CUSTOMER COST OF $1300.00 1995 WINDSTAR HAD ENGINE RECALL AND MANUFACTURER STOOD BEHIND PRODUCT. SAME BASIC CONFIGURATION IN THE 1996 MODEL. FORD SHOULD COVER. *AK
SPEEDOMETER FAILED AT 35000 MILES, THE NEEDLE JUMPS ALL OVER HAVE NO ACCURATE SPEED READING. THE SPEEDOMETER WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRINTY BY MANUFACTURER. THE SPEEDOMETER BROKE AGAIN AT APP. 75000 MILES, THE SAME PROBLEM, THIS TIME THE MANUFACTURER WILL NOT FIX IT EVEN THOUGH IT IS A REOCCURRING PROBLEM.*AK
