The contact stated that while driving at 10 MPH and attempting to come to a stop, upon depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to come to a stop. As a result, the contact collided with the vehicle in front of him. The contact stated that the FWC system failed to activate prior to the collision. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were displayed on the instrument panel. A police report was filed. The other driver was transported via ambulance to be treated for undisclosed injuries. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and later towed to an independent mechanic, where it remained. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 21,000.
