DRIVING IN A SCHOOL ZONE OF 25 MILES PER HOUR AND BEGAN TO SMELL A ROTTEN EGG SMELL. THE GAUGES ON THE DASH REMAINED NORMAL. PULLED OVER AT THE NEXT PARKING LOT OF A TRACTOR SUPPLY AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. SMOKE WAS COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. OPENED THE HOOD AND SAW IMMEDIATELY WHERE THE SMOKE WAS COMING FROM. WE DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY FIRST THE POSITIVE, THEN THE CAR STARTED ON ITS OWN, WITHOUT A KEY IN THE IGNITION. FINALLY GOT THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED AND THE SMOKE CONTINUED. THE RESULT WAS A MELTED FUSE BOX RELAY BLOCK A HOLE ALL THE WAY THROUGH AND A DAMAGED ELECTRICAL HARNESS. THE CAR IS NOT DRIVABLE. IT WAS TOWED. A CLAIM WAS TURNED INTO GEICO AND WAS DENIED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE REPAIR ESTIMATE IS SOMEWHERE BETWEEN $1000-2500 TO REPAIR. I HAVE NOTICED THROUGH RESEARCH THAT THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. WE HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FROM THE SHOWROOM FLOOR TILL NOW. NO PROBLEMS, WARNINGS, ETC. WHAT TO DO NOW? *TR
OPENED UP SIDE REAR WINDOW AND FELL OUT LUCKILY I WAS PARKED AND JUST GETTING READY TO LEAVE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 GMC ENVOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, HE NOTICED THAT THE RIGHT UPPER CONTROL ARM WAS RUSTED AND CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
SOME TIMES WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE THROTTLE ALSO ADVANCES CAUSING UNWANTED ACCELERATION. HAPPENS AT LOW SPEEDS. HAVE THERE BEEN ANY FACTORY RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM? *TR
IN 2013 WE TOOK R VEHICLE TO GET SMOGED IT WOULDN'T PASS THE MECHANIC SAID THERE IS A CRACK IN THE GAS TANK AND THEY CAN USE SOME STUFF ON IT TO PATCH IT ,NOW A YEAR GOES BY MY SON IS USING THE CAR PUTTING GAS IN THE AT THE STATION AND ANOTHER LADY TELLS HIM YOUR LEAKING GAS TOOK IT TO THE CHEVY IN TRACY CA THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE AND THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND MY HUSBAND TOLD THEM WE NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT THIS AND HE SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO AND IT WOULD COST US 1600.00 NOW MY GMC IS SETTING IN MY DRIVEWAY AND WE R TOO AFRAID TO DRIVE IT THAT IT WILL CATCH ON FIRE AND ITS UNDRIVABLE THE NECK GOING TO THE GAS TANK IS CRACKED , MY SON DROVE THIS VEHICLE WITH HIS BABY FOR QUITE AWHILE AND THIS HAS SCARED ME TO DEATH I THINK GMC NEEDS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT AND FIX THIS PROBLEM ON MY CAR WE WOULD OF TAKEN IT IN RIGHT AWAY IF WE HAD KNOW ABOUT IT AND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL. *TR
STARTED CAR AND NONE OF MY GAUGES WERE WORKING. THIS HAPPENED ANOTHER TIME ABOUT THREE MONTHS AGO AND THE NEXT DAY WHEN I STARTED MY CAR IT WAS FINE. SO I WAS HOPING IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN AND IT WOULD FIX ITSELF. IT DIDN'T! I'VE READ THIS WAS A RECALL ON 2004 TO 2008 WHY NOT 03 I'VE READ SEVERAL SITES THAT ITS A COMMON PROBLEM IN THAT YEAR ALSO. TOOK TO GMC DEALER AFTER BEING TOLD NO FEE FOR DIAGNOSE TO PULL PANEL AFTER SITTING AN HOUR WAITING NOW COST 150.00 AND TURNS OUT ITS A CLUSTER PROBLEM. PART IS 375 PLUS ANOTHER 200 FOR LABOR. *TR
REAR WIPER RUNS CONTINUALLY. REPLACED SWITCH ON DASH BUT THAT DID NOT SOLVE PROBLEM. CONTINUAL MOVEMENT OF THE WIPER BLADE IS DISTRACTING TO NORMAL DRIVING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 GMC ENVOY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THERE WAS A BUZZING NOISE COMING FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR CONTROL MODULE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000. I OWN AN ENVOY XL AND NOTICE A GAS SMELL EVERYTIME I FILL UP IT LAST ABOUT A WEEK OR, UNTIL IM LOW ON GAS SO I DID SOME SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET AND NOTICE A LOT OF ENVOYS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THE WELD AROUND THE FUEL TANK NECK HAS COME COMPLETELY OFF SO FUEL IS LEAKING AND IS A FIRE HAZARD. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY THIS IS NOT A RECALL IF SO MANY SUV'S HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
I FILLED THE GAS TANK WITH GAS, AND WHEN I WAS DRIVING, I GOT THIS SMELL OF GASOLINE. AND WHEN I GOT OUT TO CHECK THE VEHICLE, I SAW THAT THE INLET CHECK VALVE (ICV) WAS FRACTURED. AND IT WAS LEAKING GASOLINE.AND 2 OR 3 DAYS AFTER I HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, WITH THE CODE P0442. *TR
MY GMC ENVOY XL THAT IS VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND ALL MAINTENANCE IS ALWAYS KEPT UP TO DATE JUST STOPPED CHARGING (BATTERY) OVER NIGHT. I WAS TOLD THE THE BATTERY CELL WAS BAD AND I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. I SPENT THE MONEY TO REPLACE THE BATTERY TO ONLY FIND OUT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL IS DRAINING MY BATTERY. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED BECAUSE THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ONGOING ISSUE, AND THE DEALERSHIP IS STILL HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING THE EXACT ISSUE WITH WHAT COMPONENT IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL THAT IS DRAINING MY BATTERY. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT MY TRUCK FOR A WEEK NOW, AND I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE BILL FOR FIX THIS ISSUE. I AM HOPING THE GMC RECOGNIZES THIS IS A PROBLEM AND HELPS INDIVIDUALS WITH SOME COST TO HELP FIX AN ISSUE THAN HAS BEEN ONGOING WITH THERE PRODUCT. *TR
MY DAD WAS DRIVING HIS 2003 GMC ENVOY XL HOME FROM WORK AND HE FELT A SMALL EXPLOSION AND SAW BLACK SMOKE OUT OF HIS REAR VIEW MIRROR. SO HE PULLED OVER, GOT OUT, AND THERE WERE FLAMES UNDERNEATH THE CAR. WITHIN 5-10 MINUTES THE CAR EXPLODED. A FIRE FIGHTER AND STATE TROOPER PULLED OVER TO HELP HIM, AND THEY BOTH SAID THE FIRE LOOKED LIKE IT STARTED FROM A FUEL LEAK BECAUSE THE FLAMES WERE "DRIPPING" UNDER THE CAR. AFTER RESEARCHING RECALLS AND COMPLAINTS, I AM INFURIATED THAT THERE WERE SO MANY COMPLAINTS FILED OVER THIS PROBLEM, AND EVEN AN INVESTIGATION WAS DONE, BUT IT WAS NOT CONSIDERED SERIOUS ENOUGH TO BE A RECALL. I CAN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF HE HAD WAITED TO PULL OVER AT THE NEXT EXIT OR THE FIRST EXPLOSION HAD BEEN BIGGER. APPARENTLY, THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH ALMOST ALL YEARS OF THIS MODEL SINCE 2002. I HOPE NOTHING LIKE THIS, OR SOMETHING WORSE, HAPPENS TO ANYONE ELSE. *TR .. UPON HAVING THE VEHICLE SERVICED FOR UNRELATED REASONS, WAS INFORMED BY THIRD PARTY MECHANIC THAT THERE IS EXTENSIVE CORROSION THROUGH THE VEHICLE FRAME THAT WOULD NOT PASS UNDER NYS VEHICLE INSPECTION STANDARDS. NOTICED STRONG FUEL ODOR COMING FROM VEHICLE. UPON DIAGNOSIS AT THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDER, WAS INFORMED OF LEAK AT FUEL TANK. KNOWN ISSUE PER GM BULLETIN 07076, BUT WAS INFORMED BY GM THAT VEHICLE MILEAGE EXCEEDS COVERAGE PARAMETERS PER GM REF#[XXX]. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 GMC ENVOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE NOTICED THAT THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WAS SITTING HIGHER THAN THE REAR END. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE AIR BAGS SHOCKS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, TWO MOTHS LATER THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE SHOCKS AND SPRINGS WERE REPLACED AGAIN BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED TO THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 121,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 GMC ENVOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THERE WAS LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SENSOR PEDAL, THE CLUTCH FAN, WIRING TERMINALS, AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 175,00. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 GMC ENVOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CENTRAL POWER LOCKS AND WINDOW SWITCHES ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WOULD FAIL INTERMITTENTLY. A DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED HER THAT THE FAILURE WAS LIKELY CAUSED BY THE SWITCH PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 137,000.
MY 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND 11 YEAR OLD SON OPENED THE REAR GLASS HATCH TO GRAB A SHOPPING BAG OUT OF THE BACK. AS THE GLASS HATCH OPENED IT SHATTERED SPRAYING GLASS ON BOTH OF THEM CAUSING MINOR CUTS TO THEIR FACE, HANDS SCALP. I WAS JUST WALKING UP TO THEM WITH MY 1 YEAR OLD SON AND HAD GLASS FLUNG ONTO US WITH NO INJURIES. *TR
DRIVING AT APPROX. 2:30 PM IN INTERMITTENTLY RAINY CONDITIONS- I SUDDENLY FOUND MYSELF UNABLE TO CONTROL MY VEHICLE AND HAD TROUBLE SEEING MY SURROUNDINGS EVEN THOUGH I HAD NEW RAIN-X WIPERS ON. WHILE I APPLIED THE BRAKES THEY DID NOT WORK AS EFFECTIVELY AS THEY SHOULD. ADDITIONALLY, AFTER THE FIRST AND SECOND IMPACT (MULTIPLE VEHICLES WERE INVOLVED)- NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE VEHICLE AND STILL THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. RESULTED IN TWO FATALITIES IN ANOTHER VEHICLE WHILE I SUFFERED A HEAD INJURY, FACIAL FRACTURES THAT REQUIRED SURGERY, AND A BROKEN COLLAR BONE FROM THE SEAT BELT THAT I COULD NOT AFFORD THE MEDICAL INTERVENTION REQUIRED FOR REPAIR. *JS
HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING (LOW BEAMS ONLY) WHILE DRIVING CAR AT NIGHT. HIGH BEAMS CONTINUE TO WORK AFTER OUTAGE. OCCURS AT ALL HEADLIGHT SETTINGS, ALMOST EVERY TIME THE HEADLIGHTS ARE USED AND DOES NOT RESOLVE ITSELF UPON TURNING CAR ON/OFF. *TR
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
MY GMC ENVOY CLUSTER ( SPEEDOMETER ) IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY SOMETIMES IT MOVES AND SOMETIME IT JUST SIT ON ZERO, EVEN IF GOING 65 MILES AN HOUR.. THE EXTERIOR HEADLIGHT SHOT OFF ONE NIGHT WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME I CAN ONLY DRIVE WITH FULL LIGHT. MY MECHANIC STATED IT WAS DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS... GMC NEEDS TO DO SOME RECALLS ON SOME ISSUE ON THIS TRUCK... I HAVE RED SIMILAR ISSUE WITH OTHER TRUCK OWNER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 GMC ENVOY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE EXITING THE VEHICLE HE NOTICED THE SMELL OF FUEL BEING EMITTED. UPON INSPECTION IT WAS FOUND THAT FUEL WAS LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE GAS TANK HAD FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,120 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 133,465. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE GEAR SHIFT SELECTOR CABLE BECAME DISENGAGED FROM THE TRANSMISSION WHILE BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT. ACCORDING TO MY MECHANIC, THERE IS A SMALL PLASTIC BUSHING THAT BECAME BRITTLE AND FELL OFF CAUSING THE FAILURE OF THE CABLE TO MAINTAIN A CONNECTION WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THIS CAUSED MY TRANSMISSION TO BECOME LOCKED IN THE PARK POSITION AND UNABLE TO BE MOVED INTO ANY OTHER DRIVE. WHILE I WAS IN A SAFE LOCATION, I'M CONCERNED THAT OTHER DRIVERS IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS WILL BECOME STRANDED IN LOCATIONS THAT ARE NOT SAFE. I CONDUCTED A RECALL SEARCH AND FOUND THAT THIS ITEM HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. I PLACED A CALL TO GENERAL MOTORS AND LODGED A COMPLAINT. ACCORDING TO GM, THEY HAVE RECEIVED A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE BUT ARE NOT ISSUING A RECALL AT THIS TIME. I ASKED GM TO PROVIDE ME THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS THEY HAVE RECEIVED ABOUT THIS AND THEY DECLINED TO GIVE ME THAT INFORMATION. I AM SEEKING TO FILE THIS COMPLAINT, HAVE IT REVIEWED, AND DETERMINE WHETHER A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED FOR THIS VEHICLE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE MASTER WINDOW SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,404 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 88,536.
THE CAR STARTING LEAKING GAS AND I WAS AFRAID IT WOULD START A FIRE. I FOUND OUT THAT THE GAS TANK FILLER NECK WAS CRACKED. REPLACEMENT COST WAS $1,220.68. GMC SAID THAT THIS WAS NOT A RECALL ITEM FOR MY CAR BUT THERE WERE RECALLS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM FOR THE ENVOY XL. *TR
I HAVE A 03 ENVOY SXL THAT SMELLED LIKE GAS, THE DEALER STATED THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE HOSE. I HAD THAT REPLACED AND NOW IT LEAKS GAS GOING DOWNHILL. AS I SAW OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AND MOST IF NOT ALL THAT HAS SUV'S HAVE CHILDREN. IF THE SAME MODEL PART WAS RECALLED ON THE TRAILBLAZER WHY NOT ENVOY'S? GMC SHOULD RECALL ALL CARS THAT HAS THE MODEL NUMBER TO FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE THEY GO UP IN FLAMES WITH OUR CHILDREN. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE NO DIAGNOSTIC WAS RUN. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40 MPH WHEN I WENT THREW A YELLOW LIGHT WHEN A OLDER LADY TURN IN FRONT OF ME, I HIT HER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BETWEEN THE FRONT N BACK DR, , PUSHING N ROLLING N TOTALING HER SMALL SUV. SHE WAS NOT SERIOUS HURT. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MY ENVOY WAS STILL DRIVEABLE . I TOOK MY ENVOY TO MY LOCAL GMC DEALER TO HAVE THEM FIND PROB WHY THE AIRBAGS DIDN'T GO OFF, THEY OR I CALLED A REP FOR GMC, TO COME TO SIOUX FALLS TO INVESTIGATE AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE REASON THEY DIDN'T DEPLOY WAS BECAUSE I WASN'T GOING FAST ENOUGH FOR IMPACT FOR DEPLOY. I THINK THAT IS BUNCH OF BULL. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME ,IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO .I HEAR THAT A PERSON CAN RECEIVE CASH FROM GMC IF A PERSON S AIRBAGS DON'T GO OFF. *TR
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN. 8/29/2012. I BOUGHT A USED 2003 GMC ENVOY XL SLE/SLT AND PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM SHERMAN OF SKOKIE IL. ABOUT THIS VEHICLE. THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT PIECE THAT COVERS THE TOP OF THE REAR WINDOW BASICALLY FELL OFF THE CAR ON A WINDY DAY. THE PLASTIC PIECE THAT HOLDS THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT BROKE LEADING TO THE ENTIRE PIECE FALLING OFF HANGING BY THE 2 WIRES THAT CONNECT FOR POWER. I LIVE IN ALGONQUIN IL AND RECENTLY HAVE SEEN THREE OTHER ENVOYS WITH THE SAME MISSING THIRD LIGHT PIECE IN A PERIOD OF TWO WEEKS. NOT ONLY IS THIS A SAFETY HAZARD BUT IT'S THE LAW TO HAVE A THIRD BRAKE LIGHT IN ILLINOIS. I HAVE NOT BROUGHT TO A DEALER SINCE THERE WAS NOT A RECALL AND I DO NOT HAVE THE OUT OF POCKET CASH TO PAY FOR THIS TO BE FIXED. Upon taking the vehicle to a local Pep Boys, it was diagnosed that the electrical wiring harness was burned and needed to be replaced. Additionally, the bulbs needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back the local Pep Boys, who replaced the electrical wiring harness and the bulbs a second time; however, the failure persisted. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN MARCH OF 2012. THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT WILL NOT WORK AND I USE THEM FOR CAR SEATS NOW WHICH PLACES MY LIL ONES AT RISK SINCE THEY MAY NOT BE PROPERLY FASTENED IN BECAUSE THIS SEAT BELT SHOULD FUNCTION. ALSO MY BACK HATCHBACK DOOR DOESN'T LATCH PROPERLY UNLESS I SLAM IT DOWN HARD. IF I DON'T GATE AJAR LIGHT COMES ON AND I HEAR IT LOOSE. THE LATCH SYSTEM HAS FALLEN APART DUE TO THE SLAMMING. UNLUCKY ONES LIKE MYSELF WILL NOT HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THIS UNTIL TOTAL FAILURE OCCURS AND AT THAT TIME GM'S POOR DESIGN BECOMES THE BURDEN OF THE CURRENT OWNER. I WRITE THIS AT THE ADVICE OF MANY ONLINE FORUM POSTS AND COMPLAINTS THAT I READ THROUGH. I AM HOPING THERE IS SOME TIME DEVOTED BY GENERAL MOTORS TO FINDING A SOLUTION TO THIS. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND FIST OFF, MY SPEEDOMETER WENT CRAZY. THEN MY FUEL GAUGE WENT ALL THE WAY TO FULL, THEN TO EMPTY. THEN IT WOULDN'T WORK AT ALL. THERE WAS PLENTY OF GAS IN THE TANK TOO, I TOOK TO A MECHANIC AND HE REPLACED THERMOSTAT, BUT IT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. I'M STILL HAVING THE PROBLEM AND HEARD THERE IS A RECALL ON THE 2005-2007, AND IT APPEARS I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM ON THIS 2003 THAT THEY ARE HAVING NOW WITH THE NEWER ONES AND THE 2003 SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN A RECALL. PLEASE EVALUATE. I ONLY HAVE 107K MILES ON THE TRUCK. I WAS TOLD, A RECALL COULD COVER UP TO 120K MILES, SO I STILL HAVE SOME WAY TO GO BEFORE I SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
