TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ENVOY. WHILE IN PARK, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY REVERSED AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
WITHOUT ANY WARNING/INDICATION [NOTHING LIGHT UP ON DASHBOARD]; THE CAR STARTED JERKING & SLOWING DOWN. IT SOUNDED LIKE ROCKS WAS ROLLING AROUND UNDER THE HOUND OF THE CAR. I PRESSED THE ONSTAR BUTTON [WHICH THE CAR HAS BEEN MONITORED BY FOR THE ENTIRE TIME OF OWNERSHIP, AND ALL REPORTS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN/TRANSMISSION GOOD] AND THE WAS TOLD THERE WAS AND ENGINE MISFIRE. ALL MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN KEPT UP TO DATE; AND AGAIN THE CAR MONITORED BY ONSTAR AND NEVER HAVE I RECEIVED A BAD REPORT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW/WHY SOMETHING LIKE THIS COULD HAPPEN W/O ANY WARNING! I TRIED WORKING WITH THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP; GMC FINANCING OFFICE ~ AND NOTHING!! THIS CAR IS PAID FOR & I CANT AFFORD THE REPAIR COST ASSOCIATED WITH IT. THIS HAS TO BE SOME SORT OF DEFECT!!!!!!!!!! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ENVOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE TIRE PRESSURE AND AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED CONTINUOUSLY. THE ENGINE WAS LEAKING OIL AND ALL FOUR TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS FAILED. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES FOR REPAIR. THERE WERE SEVERAL REPAIRS MADE TO THE VEHICLE INCLUDING THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TRANSMISSION SLIP YOKE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECTS. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
ON OCTOBER 20 THE 2007 I PURCHASED A 2007 ENVOY SUV FROM RAMEY FORD IN TAZEWELL VA. ON OCTOBER 27, 2007 I HAD BACKED INTO MY DRIVE WAY PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK HAD THE KEYS IN MY HAND AND WALKED AROUND THE VEHICLE TO GET MY DAUGHTER OUT OF THE CAR SEAT. THIS IS WHEN I NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ROLLING I THEN JUMPED IN THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AND TRIED TO STOP THE VEHICLE BEFORE I COULD STOP THE VEHICLE WE (MY DAUGHTER AND I) WERE OVER A FIVE-FOOT ROCK WALL INTO THE BUSHES MY FATHER STOOD THERE AND WATCHED THE WHOLE ACCIDENT. MY LEGS WERE HANGING OUT OF THE VEHICLE I WAS VERY BRUISED UP. THANK GOD THAT MY DAUGHTER HAD NOT BEEN UNBUCKLED FROM HER CAR SEAT. AFTER MY FATHER CHECKED TO SEE IF WE WERE OKAY I HANDED MY FATHER THE KEYS AND HE MOVED THE VEHICLE THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS PUSHED ALL THE WAY TO THE DASH IN THE PARK POSITION ( I HAVE PICTURES) THE DASH LIGHTS WERE READING PARK BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD MOVE AS THOUGH IT WAS IN DRIVE. AFTER MOVING THE VEHICLE THE KEYS WOULD NOT COME OUT OF THE IGNITION. WHEN I WRECKED AND MOVED THE VEHICLE THERE WAS SAND EVERYWHERE ON THE SCENE FROM THE VEHICLE IT WAS LIKE BEACH SAND. MY QUESTION IS WHY DID THE KEYS COME OUT OF THE IGNITION IF THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN PARK AND NOW THAT THE KEYS ARE IN THE IGNITION YOU CAN DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN THE PARK POSITION AND THE KEYS WILL NOT COME OUT????? *TR
