THE VEHICLES GAS PEDAL BECAME STUCK WHEN PRESSED. WHEN THE PEDAL WAS ALMOST TO THE FLOOR THE VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE SUDDENLY. PLEASE DESCRIBE FURTHER. *NLM
THREE WEEKS AGO VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BECAUSE PIECES OF STEEL WERE STICKING OUT OF THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE. DEALER SAID, "THE TIRES WERE FINE". PRESENTLY, WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED CONSUMER HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION. REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE HAD SEPARATED. *AK
CONSUMER FELT THAT THE BRAKES WERE TOO SPONGY, AND WHEN DEPRESSING THEM THEY WENT TO THE FLOOR. AS A RESULT, BRAKES FAILED TO STOP VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. CONSUMER ALMOST RAN OVER A PEDESTRIAN BECAUSE OF THIS BRAKE FAILURE. DEALERSHIP SERVICED THE VEHICLE BUT FOUND NO FAILURE.*AK
TRUCKS ENGINE DIES, WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT THE TRUCK LOOSES ALL POWER, INCLUDING STEERING AND BRAKE. THE DEALERSHIP RAN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, BUT NO FAILURE CODE WAS FOUND. *PH 2000 GMC 3500 EXPERIENCING PROBLEM WITH ENGINE EQUIPMENT. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND WITHOUT WARNING TRUCK ENGINE DIES. AS A RESULT VEHICLE LOSES ALL POWER INCLUDING THE STEERING AND BRAKE EQUIPMENT. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS TEST DRIVEN. DURING THE TEST DRIVE VEHICLE DIED 8 TIMES WITHIN ONE MILE RADIUS OF TRAVEL. DEALER REPLACED INJECTOR PUMP FOR THE SECOND TIME.*MR
WHILE BACKING OUT CONSUMER HEARD A LOUD BANG. CONSUMER INSPECTED VEHICLE, AND NOTICED TAILGATE DROPPED OPEN. *AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A TAILGATE PROBLEM. CONSUMER WAS PUTTING A 4 WHEEL VEHICLE ON THE BED OF THE TRUCK, AND WHILE DOING SO, TAILGATE MALFUNCTIONED. THE TAILGATE CABLES WERE RUSTED. IT SMASHED THE BUMPER. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONSUMER TRIED TO RESTART IT, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DO SO. THE CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE ELECTRIC EJECTION PUMP, HOWEVER THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *AK NO MATTER WHAT SPEED THE VEHICLE WAS GOING, THE ENGINE WOULD DIE AS THE KEY WAS TURNED OFF. SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY, BUT SOMETIMES IT WOULDN'T RESTART UNTIL IT WAS "WORKED WITH." THE ELECTRIC INJECTION PUMP WAS REPLACED FOR A THIRD TIME. TWO NEW ALTERNATORS HAD BEEN PLACED IN THE VEHICLE BUT AT TIMES, FREQUENTLY KILLED THE PUMP WHICH DRAINED THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE HAD STOPPED IN FAST MOVING TRAFFIC. THE EMERGENCY FLASHERS WERE INOPERATIVE, SOMETIMES THERE WOULD BE A HARD START THEN THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT WOULD COME ON, THE VEHICLE WOULD DIE WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS WERE TURNED ON, THE A/C SWITCH HAD BROKEN, AND THERE WERE LEAKING LINES. *SC *JB
