BOTH SIGNALS ARE HESITATING A LATE REACTION. WHEN TURNING ON SIGNAL LIGHTS THERE IS A CLICKING NOISE, BUT THERE ARE NO LIGHTS SIGNALING ON DASHBOARD OR BACKING UP LIGHTING SYSTEM. DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF PROBLEM. *AK CONSUMER STATES IF IT IS EXTREMELY COLD IN THE MORNING, THE SIGNAL LIGHTS WILL NOT BLINK OR MAKE ANY SOUNDS UNTIL 30-40 SECONDS, ONCE THEY MAKE THE FAST BLINKING SOUNDS, THEY WILL NOT FLASH FOR ANOTHER 30-40 SECONDS OR LONGER, IN WARM WEATHER THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT THEY WILL MAKE THE BLINKING SOUND ALMOST INSTANTLY. *SLC

RE: EXHAUST VALVE SPRINGS - CAR CONTINUALLY STALLED. RE: AIR CONDITIONER - LEAK BEHIND GLOVE COMPARTMENT. RE: CRACKED ENGINE BLOCK- DISCOVERED WHEN MECHANIC WAS LOOKING FOR AIR CONDITIONER LEAK. FIXED CRACK AND REMOUNTED ENGINE BLOCK WITHOUT USING EXISTING SCREW BECAUSE THE SCREW WAS CAUSING STRESS TO THE BLOCK.
ABS MODULATOR IS LEAKING, ACCUMULATOR IS LEAKING, COST $1350.00 WITHOUT TAX. *AK
I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA REGARDING BOTH THESE PROBLEMS. THEY HAVE AGREED TO PAY 25% OF THE TOTAL COST. I FEEL THAT SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT BOTH THESE PROBLEMS FOR THIS YEAR CAR THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL - EVEN THE HONDA MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT IF I TRADED THIS CAR IN HONDA CARS OF CORONA WOULD HAVE TO REPAIR BOTH ITEMS BEFORE THEY SOLD THE CAR BECAUSE THEY ARE SAFETY PROBLEMS. HONDA SHOULD PAY THE ENTIRE COST. *AK
INTERMITTENTLY GAS GAUGE DOES NOT REGISTER THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF FUEL. THE PROBLEM CAUSED THE OWNER TO RUN OUT OF FUEL FOUR TIMES. DEALER WILL BE CONTACTED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND WON'T GO OFF. HOWEVER, CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR, BUT THE DEALER CAN'T DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. *YC
WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 35MPH THE BALANCE SHAFT SEAL BLEW OUT. ALSO, OIL LIGHT CAME ON & VEHICLE STARTED TO LOSE FUEL. PULLED TO SIDE OF ROAD. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP & THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE OWNER THE PROBLEM WAS NORMAL. MANUFACTURER KNOWS ABOUT THE BALANCE SHAFT SEAL. *AK
SRS WARNING LIGHT LIT. NEVER RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE 96V217000. AMERICAN HONDA AND DEALER REFUSED TO PROVIDE FREE REMEDY. *AK
CONSUMER HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF RECALL ON THE SRS ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT AND IT FAILED PRIOR TO NOTICE 96V217, MANUFACTURER REFUSES RECALL REPAIR BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HAD HIGH MILEAGE. NLM

THE AIRBAG SYSTEM WAS REPLACED DUE TO FAILURE. *YC
WHEN FUEL TANK IS FULL OR HALF WAY FULL CONSUMER CAN HEAR THE GAS MOVING AROUNG IN TANK. CONSUMER TOOK TO DEALER, AND DEALER REPLACED TANK. PROBLEM STILL REMAINS.*AK
AT 38000 MILES ABS LIGHT CAME ON. DEALER REPLACED ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM.*AK
GURLEY LEEP HONDA (ELKHART, IN) SERVICED CAR. REPORTED THAT ABS IS NOT SAFETY RELATED AND THAT SINCE NO RECALL WAS ISSUED I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OVER $1100 TO REPAIR THE FAULTY ABS CONTROLLER. I INTEND TO CONTEST THIS WITH THE REGIONAL REP. FROM HONDA. *AK
ORIGINAL ABS LEAK AND FAILURE 6/27/98. SUBSEQUENT ABS FAILURE AND LEAK ON 8/13/99. DEALER ESTIMATED $1,400 FOR REPLACEMENT OF DEFECTIVE PARTS. QUICK FIXED BY DEALER WHILE UNDER WARRANTY IN 1998 BY REFILLING ABS FLUID SO ABS LIGHT WOULD GO OFF.
WHILE BACKING INTO A PARKING SPACE AND APPLYING ACCELERATOR PEDAL, VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO TAKE OFF ( NO CRUISE CONTROL). IT BACKED INTO THREE OTHER VEHICLES WHILE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED, AND WOULD NOT STOP. AFTER HITTING THE OTHER S,CONSUMER WAS ABLE PUT GEAR SHIFT INTO PARK AND TURNED OFF KEY. DEALER / MFR. NOTIFIED. CAN NHTSA PROVIDE FURTHER DETAIL ON THIS MATTER. *AK
RIGHT FRONT SEAT WILL NOT LOCK INTO PLACE PROPERLY. YH
THE FIRST INCIDENCE OCCURRED IN JULY 1999 AND THE DEALER ATTENDED TO THE ABS LIGHT ON DEFECT BY R&R ACCUMULATOR AND ABS PUMP & REPAIR LEAK, BLEED ABS SYSTEM & RESET ECU. THE ABS LIGHT REMAINED OFF THEREAFTER. TOTAL REPAIR COST WAS $193.0. THE PROBLEM HOWEVER CREPT UP AGAIN IN NOVEMBER 2000, AND THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS INTERNAL FAILURE IN ABS MODULATOR. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE MODULATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND WOULD COST $1200. HONDA WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED TO PAY 20% OF THE REPAIR COST. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH THE A/C UNIT STARTED TO GET HOT AND THEN TEMPERATURE GAUGE WENT ALL THE WAY UP, AND THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED, CAUSING THE ANTI-FREEZE TO LEAK OUT OF THE ENGINE. *AK
ABS SYSTEM ISN'T WORKING. WHEN CONSUMER APPLIES THE BRAKES THEY GO STRAIGHT TO THE FLOORBOARD, AND THE ABS SYSTEM KICKS. CONSUMER HAS TO PUMP THE BRAKES. HARD.
A/C MOTOR WOULD NOT RESPOND TO TURNING A/C ON. AT TIMES, IT WILL COME ON AFTER 5-10 MINUTES, OTHER TIMES IT WON'T RESPOND. THIS HAPPENED BEFORE, AND HONDA DEALER REPLACED FAILED COMPONENT, BUT NOW IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN DURING HOT TEMPERATURES
ABS PUMP MAKING NOISE AT START UP; ABS DASH WARNING LIGHT ON; FLUID IN ABS MODULATOR LOW. DEALER SUGGESTED THAT UNIT BE REPLACED.
ABS SYSTEM FAILURE (MODULATOR), WILL NOT HOLD BRAKE FLUID, ABS TOTALLY INOPERABLE, GRINDING NOISES FROM BRAKE SYSTEM (UNDER HOOD). *AK
FALSE AND VIOLENT DEPLOYMENT OF BOTH AIR BAGS RESULTED IN INJURY TO CONSUMER AND DAMAGES TO VEHICLE (ATTORNEY FOR CONSUMER). MJS
SRS CONTROL UNIT WAS REPLACED UNDER RECALL 96V217000 AND CORRECTIVE ACTION WAS DONE ON 04-11-97, BUT THE AIRBAG CAME ON AGAIN ON 05-09-99, INDICATING IT IS INOPERATIVE. *AK
ABS PUMP ENGAGING WHILE DRIVING AND LIGHT HAS COME AGAIN.CONSTANT SWISHING NOISE IN BRAKE SYSTEM WHEN BRAKES APPLIED. *AK
AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON, INDICATING A PROBLEM WITH DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIR BAGS WHICH WON'T PROTECT THE OCCUPANT IN A CRASH. DEALER FIXED THE PROBLEM. BUT PROBLEM HAS REOCCURRED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM HAS COMPLETELY FAILED, RESULTING IN A $1,300.00 ESTIMATE TO GET THEM REPAIRED. THE REPAIR SHOP ADVISED ME THAT MANY SIMILAR HONDA VEHICLES ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM. SINCE NOT MANY OWNERS WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY $1,300.00 TO GET THE ABS REPAIRED, IT RENDERS THE ABS SYSTEM USELESS. AS MY VEHICLE ONLY HAD 60,000 MILES, IT APPEARS THIS PROBLEM IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. *AK
GAS GAUGE ON INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILS TO REGISTER THE AMOUNT OF FUEL IN VEHICLE. THE DRIVER WOULD HAVE NO INDICATION OF HOW MUCH FUEL IS LEFT. THIS CAN HAPPEN EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS FILLED WITH FUEL. TAKING VEHICLE TO DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED. *AK
ABS BRAKE PROBLEMS; THE ABS WARNING LIGHT IS ON. THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THIS PROBLEM WHICH INDICATES THAT THE ABS UNIT IS LEAKNG. OWNER DOES NOT FEEL THAT HE SHOULD HAVE TO HAVE HIS VEHICLE SERVICED BECAUSE OF BULLETIN. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURHTER DETAILS. *AK
WHILE TURNING A CORNER AT 15MPH GAS PEDAL STUCK OPEN. CABLE MELTED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON, CONSUMER NOTICED HOOD WAS VIBRATING, CONSUMER LEANED FORWARD TO TURN OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL AND APPLIED THE BRAKES, AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED, CAUSING THE CONSUMER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE FOR ABOUT FIVE SECONDS. VEHICLE'S WHEELS WERE ON THE GRASS. AFTER INSPECTION AT HONDA DEALERSHIP, THEY FOUND AN ONE INCH HOLE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE STEEL PLATE UNDER THE AIR BAG DECELERATION DETECTOR. IT IS BELIEVED A METAL OBJECT HIT THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR AND SET OFF THE AIR BAGS. *AK
GAS GAUGE INTERMITTENTLY FAILS BY READING EMPTY. *AK
WHILE DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON AND VEHICLE HAD SUDDEN ACCELERATION. OCCUPANT PRESSED THE BRAKES, AND HAD A REAR END COLLISION. ALSO, DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, WHICH DID NOT PROTECT OCCUPANTS IN THE ACCIDENT. NEVER BEEN TO THE DEALER. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 35 MPH, VEHICLE WAS CROSSING THE STREET ON A GREEN LIGHT WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE PASSED A RED LIGHT AND WAS HIT IN THE MIDDLE BY CONSUMER'S VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER'S AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
THE ENGINE BLOCK IS CRACK. THIS CAUSES THE ENGINE FLUID TO LEAK OUT. HAVE TAKEN TO DEALER FOR REPAIRS. WAS INFORMED WOULD PATCH CRACKS BUT WILL NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE.
THE SEALS ON THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM PUMP WENT BAD, CAUSING THE BRAKES NOT TO RESPOND IN AN EMERGENCY. CONSUMER SLID ON SOME ICE INTO A DITCH. AFTER THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SLIDE THAT WA S WHEN CONSUMER REALIZED THAT THE BRAKES WERE OUT. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
DEALER SAYS THAT THE SRS CONTROL UNIT NEEDS REPLACEMENT. HONDA SAYS THAT THE RECALL FOR '95 DOESN'T APPLY TO "MY" '95 ACCORD WAGON. THEY REFUSE TO PAY FOR REPLACEMENT. DEALER SERVICE ADVISOR SAYS THAT THE SRS CONTROL UNIT HAS BEEN KNOWN TO FAIL IN MANY '95'S. I NOW HAVE NO AIRBAGS! PLEASE HELP!?!? *AK
VEHICLE AIRBORN CROSSING YARD, RIVER, HITTING OPPOSITE BANK OF RIVER. WHILE THE IMPACT WAS NOT A DIRECT FRONT HIT, THE FRONT HEADLIGHT AND THE SIDE OF THE CAR BOTH HIT. DRIVERS HEAD HIT WINDSHIELD BUT DUE TO SEATBELT HEAD REMAINED IN CAR. DRIVER WONDERED AWAY, DOGS USED TO TRACK ...HEAD INJURY THUS NO RECOLLECTION FROM HIGHWAY TO LEAVING VEHICLE. GENERAL FEELING IS THAT BOY SHOULD HAVE NOT SURVIVED.

CONSUMER HAS A RECALL LETTER FROM HONDA, MANUFACTURER RECALL#K46. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED DEALER, AND THEY REFUSED TO RESPECT RECALL. DEALER WANTS CONSUMER TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. *AK
WAS MAKING A "U" TURN WHEN VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED FOR NO REASON. HAD FOOT ON BRAKES AT TIME. SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL, BUT VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. FINALLY TOOK KEY OUT OF IGNITION & VEHICLE ROLLED TO A STOP. VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. *AK
WHEN DRIVER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW WAS ROLLED DOWN IT GOT STUCK DOWN IN THE DOOR AND WILL NOT COME BACK UP. MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON IN THIS VEHICLE AND IT HAS BEEN ON FOR A WHILE THE CONSUMER FINALLY HAD IT CHECKED AND FOUND OUT THAT A NEW PASSENGER'S AIR BAG SYSTEM IS NEEDED BECAUSE OF DEPLOYMENT FAILURE. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
