WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ON I-10 IN ARIZONA ON CARPOOL LANE WHEN SUDDENLY SOME WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON DASHBOARD CAR MADE ME VEER TO THE RIGHT MAKING ME SPIN OUT OF CONTROL CAUSING A CRASH AND HITTING THE FENCE.
Our air conditioner stopped working in 2021 and the car is a 2018. I received a recall notice about the air conditioning but cannot find the letter anymore. The car will blow warm air even when the air contrition in on high.
I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH MY REAR BRAKES FOR A LONG TIME. I HAVE CHANGED MY REAR BRAKES TWICE SINCE I HAD THE CAR. TODAY ALL MY WARNING LIGHTS IN THE DASHBOARD TURNED ON AND WON'T TURN OFF. I HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT'S GOING ON. ALSO THE REAR TAILLIGHTS HAD A BROKEN SEAL WHERE MOISTURE COLLECTS IN THE TAILLIGHTS. THE BRAKES IN THIS CAR WAS THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THE CAR VIBRATES WHILE BRAKING AND THERE IS A VIBRATION IN THE BRAKE PEDAL AS WELL DESPITE HAVING RECENTLY CHANGED THE BRAKES. THE WARNING LIGHTS ARE A NEW PROBLEM AND A COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 62,000 MILES.
20,000 MILES ON MY 2018 HONDA ACCORD. THE TIRES ON THIS VEHICLE MAKES A LOUD, FLOPPING NOISE WHICH IS VERY ANNOYING. I TOOK IT TO THE REALER , AND THEY SUGGESTED NEW TIRES AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH ONLY 20 THOUSAND MILES.
I’ve had this vehicle about 4 months! About once or twice a month I’m getting a message that there’s a problem with my braking system! My brake light blinks on and off, and the message reads…electronic parking brake issue!
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, there were abnormal rattling sounds coming from the rear of the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the failure was a known manufacturer defect; however, the dealer informed the contact that they could not repair the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 45-60 MPH, the driver's side-view mirror detached from the mirror housing. The contact panicked as he had lost visibility of incoming traffic. Additionally, the forward collision avoidance sensors ceased to function as needed. The contact was unable to veer to the side of the road, and he pushed back the mirror into position while driving. The contact stated that upon reaching his destination, he attempted to secure the side-view mirror in the housing but was unable to. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who advised the contact to push the side-view mirror back into place whenever the failure occurred. The dealer also informed the contact he would be charged for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure occurred 5-7 times within two years. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.

THE CONTACT CONTINUED DRIVING TO HIS DESTINATION. THE CONTACT CALLED HONDA OF MILFORD (767 BRIDGEPORT AVE, MILFORD, CT 06460, (203) 877-2888) AND MADE THE DEALER AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000.
My collision mitigation braking system is automatically braking on me with nothing in front of me going high rated speeds on the interstate. I have chronic migraines and neck issues that also have been being treated on a very consistent basis. I brought it in numerous times. I have appointment documents from dealership stating these issues, with no solution. Today it happened again severely and it was harsher than normal, scaring my 3 kids. I have had enough. Winter is coming and I am not gonna challenge black ice again. I have ongoing medical conditions being treated due to the repetitive whiplash.
I2 WEEKS AGO I HAD MY CAR'S COMPUTER SYSTEM UPDATED AS PER THE RECALL NOTICE. EVERYTHING WAS FINE THEN 2 DAYS AGO I NOTICED ON THE HEADS UP DISPLAY "CRUISE) WHICH HAD NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE. I SET THE SPEED AT 65 ON THE FREEWAY AND IT HELD THE SPEED FINE, HOWEVER, AS I APPROACHED ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM BEHIND IT DID NOT SLOW DOWN TO MATCH THE SPEED OF THE OTHER CAR. I HAD TO BRAKE TO AVOID HITTING IT. I TRIED USING THE INTERVAL BUTTON TO SET THE DISTANCE FROM THE OTHER VEHICLE BUT IT DID NOT WORK. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER THIS MORNING 3/23/2021 AND AFTER 90 MINUTES THEY CALLED ME OUT TO LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. APPARENTLY, IF YOU HOLD THE INTERVAL BUTTON DOWN FOR 2-5 SECONDS IT DISENGAGES THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AND THE CAR IS REVERTED TO AN OLDER SYSTEM THAT DOES NOT SENSE THE SPACING WHILE ON CRUISE CONTROL. I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT I NEVER HAD TOUCHED THE INTERVAL BUTTON PRIOR TO THE CAR REVERTING TO THIS OLDER SYSTEM AND IT WENT TO IT BY ITSELF. IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY IT WENT TO THIS SYSTEM WHILE IN MOTION BY ITSELF AND ONLY SINCE I HAD THE UPDATED SYSTEM INSTALLED DUE TO THE RECALL. IF I HADN'T BEEN PAYING ATTENTION I WOULD HAVE REAR ENDED THE CAR IN FRONTOF ME.
ON OCCASION, WHILE AT HWY SPEEDS WITH NO CARS IN FRONT OF ME MY CAR WILL SUDDENLY START BRAKING. THIS WORRIES ME THAT PEOPLE FOLLOWING TO CLOSELY MIGHT NOT BE EXPECTING MY CAR TO BRAKE AS THEIR US NO IMMEDIATE TRAFFIC IN FRONT. ALSO, THE LANE ASSIST FREQUENTLY FIGHTS ME WHEN I AM WITHIN MY LANE. IT APPEARS THAT CONCRETE SCRATCHES OR MARKS IN THE ROAD SOMETIMES CONFUSE IT.
COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER. THIS HAS SHOWED UP 3 TIMES ON MY CAR SO FAR, 2 TIMES IN 6 DAYS. DRIVING IN GOOD WEATHER, CLEAN HIGHWAYS, CHECKED RADAR FOR DEBRIS AND HAVE NOT FOUND ANY EACH TIME. DEALER SAYS NO CODE, NOTHING WRONG! WHY IS IT TELLING ME TO "SEE DEALER" ???? IF NOTHING IS WRONG. ALL THE SAFETY, CRUISE AND BRAKING SAFETY FEATURES WERE SHUT OFF, COULD NOT USE CRUISE ALONE AFTER. HAPPENED ONCE IN 2020 AND MARCH 20&26 OF 2021. DEALER KEEPS TELLING ME NOTHING IS WRONG!
BURNING EXCESSIVE GAS. EVERY 2 DAYS I HAVE BEEN FILLING MY TANK. FILLED TANK TO HALF TANK OF GAS AND WITHIN LESS THAN 24 HOURS I AM ON EMPTY. FORWARD COLLISION GOES OFF UNEXPECTEDLY WITHOUT ANYTHING IN FRONT OF VEHICLE. THERE IS A CONSTANT GAS SMELL IN THE CAR WHILE DRIVING. MY GARAGE ALSO HAS BEEN STINK WITH GAS SMELL SINCE THE LAST 3 WEEKS CONSISTENTLY.
THE REAR PASSENGER BRAKE PAD IS WORN TO NOTHING. ALL OTHER PADS ARE FINE. I HAVE 22,000 MILES ON MY HONDA. DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS RUSTED BECAUSE I LIVE AT THE BEACH. IF THAT IS TRUE THEN WOULD THERE NOT BE PROBLEMS WITH ALL 4. I HEARD SCRAPING SOUNDS BEFORE. THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING HAS BEEN ON. WHILE DRIVING MY CAR, THE ELECTRONIC PANEL READ I NEEDED TO PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY AND CALL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS FINE.
AC COMPRESSOR HAS FAILED AND I NO LONGER HAVE COLD AIR
THE REAR BRAKE ARE COMPLETELY WORN OUT AT 38K MILES AND THE FRONT PADS ARE FINE. DONT UNDERSTAND WHYBTHE REAR WOULD WEAR OUT FASTER THAN THE FRONT. THERE WAS SEVER DAMAGE DONE TO THE REAR ROTATOR A D HAD TO GET REPLACED.
I WAS BACKING THE VEHICLE SLOWLY IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE AND IT WAS ACCELERATE ALL OF SUDDEN. THERE WAS A CURB ON THE BACK, BUT IT WENT OVER AND HIT THE TREE. IT WAS OUT OF CONTROL
2018 HONDA ACCORD SEDAN 2.0 TURBO SPORT. 47,000 MILES ON ODOMETER. FUEL IS MIXING WITH ENGINE OIL UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. CURRENTLY 5K INTO LAST OIL CHANGE AND THERE IS A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE PRESENT ON THE ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK ALONG WITH AN ODOR OF GASOLINE INSIDE THE VEHICLE ESPECIALLY WHEN THE DEFROSTER OR HEAT IS TURNED ON.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Automatic Emergency Braking activated inadvertently and without warning. The contact had taken the vehicle to a Honda dealer where they informed her that her gear shifter may have caused an electrical short. As the failure persisted, the vehicle was brought back to the dealer where they were unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed her that the VIN was not under recall. The contact was referred to the local dealer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR ALLOWED THE OUTSIDE ELEMENTS INSIDE THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE, RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE NOT BEING PROPERLY SEALED AGAINST THE OUTSIDE ELEMENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HENDRICK HONDA OF CHARLESTON (1539 SAVANNAH HWY, CHARLESTON, SC 29407, (843) 279-0447) HOWEVER, WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 19,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65 MILES/HOUR WHEN I BEGAN TO HEAR A HISSING SOUND COMING FROM THE LEFT MOST AIR VENT. WITHIN SECONDS, A STRONG ELECTRICAL OR BURNING RUBBER SMELL BEGAN TO FILL THE CABIN. THE HISSING SOUND EVENTUALLY SUBSIDED. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, WHITE SMOKE BEGAN TO COME THROUGH THE AIR VENTS. THE SMOKE LASTED FOR ABOUT 45-60 SECONDS. FIRST THING THE NEXT MORNING, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER TO HAVE THE ISSUE FIXED UNDER WARRANTY. THEY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 4 WORKING DAYS BUT COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT, AND INSTRUCTED ME TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THEM IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. THEY DID SAY THAT THE CAR HAD A CODE FOR A "FAULT IN THE BLOWER MOTOR CIRCUIT", BUT SAID THAT THAT WAS PROBABLY NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. AS OF MARCH 4TH 2021, THIS ISSUE HAS NOT REAPPEARED SINCE THE INITIAL OCCURRENCE.
2018 HONDA ACCORD- PURCHASE CAR IN SEPT 2018, IN NOVEMBER 2019 INCHING FORWARD TO SEE CLEARLY TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, ONCOMING CAR TO MY RIGHT, STEPPED ON THE BRAKES AND NOTHING, NO BRAKES AND LOTS OF WARNINGS ON THE DASH. PANICKED BUT WAS ABLE TO STEER THE CAR OUT OF HARMS WAY AND PUSH IGNITION TO STOP. HAPPENED AGAIN IN DECEMBER 2019, SAME SCENARIO AS ABOVE. HONDA REPAIRED BRAKE BOOSTER. OCCURRED AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER 2020 AT FREEWAY SPEEDS, CHANGING LANES ABOUT TO EXIT FREEWAY IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, HONDA REPLACED BRAKE BOOSTER. OCCURRED AGAIN FEBRUARY 2021 ON THE STREETS. CAR CURRENTLY AT HONDA. FLUID LEAKING INTO THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER. HONDA ABOUT TO REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER AND WHAT THEY CALL A COLLECTOR. NO CONFIDENCE IN THIS CAR. HONDA WILL NOT CONSIDER A BUY BACK.
AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, 55 MPH OR FASTER, ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE STEERING BECOMES DIFFICULT TO HOLD THE CAR IN A STRAIGHT LINE. THE STEERING BECOMES HARDER THAN NORMAL TO INITIATE A TURN OF THE STEERING WHEEL. AFTER APPLYING MORE PRESSURE THAN NORMAL, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL SUDDENLY MOVE CAUSING A LARGER THAN DESIRED STEERING CORRECTION. BECAUSE OF THE EXTRA-LARGE STEERING CORRECTION ANOTHER CORRECTION WILL BE NEEDED IN THE OTHER DIRECTION, BUT THE STEERING RESIST TURNING IN THE OTHER DIRECTION UNTIL EXTRA FORCE IS APPLIED TO THE STEERING WHEEL, THEN THE STEERING WHEEL WILL SUDDENLY MOVE AND CAUSE AN OVERCORRECTION IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. THIS PROBLEM HAS ONLY HAPPENED AFTER DRIVING THE CAR FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR, USUALLY AFTER 3 HOURS. THE STEERING PROBLEM CAN STILL BE PRESENT AFTER STOPPING AT A REST AREA AND TURNING THE CAR OFF, BUT WHEN THE PROBLEM DOES FINALLY GO AWAY IT IS ALWAYS AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN TURNED OFF. THE PROBLEM WHEN PRESENT DOES NOT ALWAYS CAUSE THE SAME RESISTANCE TO TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL. SOMETIMES THE PROBLEM IS SLIGHT AND OTHERS IT IS VERY SEVERE TO THE POINT WHERE IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO KEEP THE CAR IN THE LANE USING 2 HANDS THERE ARE 19 COMPLAINTS ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE 2018 HONDA ACCORD. FEB OF 2020 FLOW HONDA OF WINSTON-SALEM REPLACED THE RACK AND PINION AND I DIDN'T HAVE ANY FURTHER PROBLEM UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN ON A TRIP FROM NC TO FL WHEN THE STEERING PROBLEM REAPPEARED. AFTER STOPPING AT A REST AREA FOR A 15 MIN. STOP THE STEERING PROBLEM WAS GONE. THIS WAS THE FIRST OCCURRENCE OF THE PROBLEM SINCE THE RACK AND PINION WAS REPLACED. ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE THERE ARE 2 PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN THAT THEIR STEERING PROBLEM REAPPEARED AFTER THE RACK AND PINION HAD BEEN REPLACED. ON FEB. 8, 2021 I RETURNED THE ACCORD TO FLOW HONDA OF W-S FOR THE 4TH TIME AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO.
HONDA ACCORD 2014 - BEGINNING IN FEBRUARY/MARCH 2021 DRIVING ON A MAJOR THRUWAY EARLY MORNING, MY CAR KEPT VEERING FROM THE LANE. WARNING LIGHT "STEERING REQUIRED" KEPT COMING ON. I COULD FEEL THE CAR SHAKING. THIS OCCURRED NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE 6 HOUR TRIP. VERY FRIGHTENING TRYING TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE CAR, TRYING TO KEEP IT FROM VEERING OUT OF THE LANE, WHILE THE CAR IS SHAKING. THE "STEERING REQUIRED/LANE DEPARTURE" WARNINGS TERRIFIED ME. THIS OCCURRED AGAIN ON ANOTHER MORNING ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. CAR KEPT VEERING. WARNING SIGNS COMING ON. CAR SHAKING.
ELECTRONIC STEERING RACK PART HAS A MANUFACTURING FAULT THAT CAUSES THE STEERING WHEEL TO LOCK UP AND THEN OVERSTEER, ESPECIALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, CAUSING VEHICLE TO LEAVE THE LANE AND A MASSIVE SAFETY ISSUE. MANUFACTURER HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING YET TO RECALL THE CARS TO FIX THE ISSUE DESPITE THIS PROBLEM EXISTING IN MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF THIS ELECTRONIC STEERING COLUMN. PART NUMBER 53600-TVA-A18 HAS BEEN REPLACED BY MULTIPLE NEW MODELS OF THIS PART BUT HAVE NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE PRODUCTION ISSUE WITH THE PART TO RECALL THE CARS AND PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. THE STEERING COLUMN MODELS HAVE BEEN THROUGH MULTIPLE REVISIONS BUT HONDA HAS NOT RECALLED THE OLDER MODELS, 53620-TVC-A67, 53620-TVC-A68, 53600-TVA-A19, 53620-TVA-A28, 53620-TVC-A64, 53620-TWA-A28, 53620-TVC-A64.
REPLACED REAR BRAKE PADS 11-8-2019 AT 32,223 MILES. REPLACED REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS 2-3-2021 AT 56,679 MILES. THEY HAVE A PROBLEM AGAIN. THEY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE 2009 ACCORDS.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT 55-65 MPH, WHEN THE COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE LOSS CRUISE CONTROL, EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM AND THE SIDE BLIND SPOT ALERTS FAILED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND DIAGNOSED WITH A SOFTWARE FAILURE. THE SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND SCHEDULED AN UPCOMING APPOINTMENT FOR DIAGNOSTIC BUT INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT RESPONDING TO ASSIST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED A CASE BUT HAD NOT CONTACTED THE CONTACT SINCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000. THE CONSUMER STATED DEALER TRIED TO ASSIST BY ADDING A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO THE VEHICLE.
PAINT ON HOOD GETTING 100'S OF PIMPLES,SOME SMALL SOME LARGER,PHOTO ENCLOSED NOTE WAX WAS PUT ON TO HIGHLIGHT THE SPOTS
THE HONDA INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM WOULD FREEZE AND CRASH WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN OPERATION. THE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM IS USED AS A NAVIGATION SYSTEM, RADIO, BACKUP CAMERA AND SETS VARIOUS SETTINGS FOR THE CAR. WHEN THIS DEFECTIVE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM CRASHES, IT CAUSES THE DRIVER TO THINK SOMETHING BAD IS HAPPENING TO THE CAR AND DRIVER WILL BE VERY DISTRACTED.
DRIVING ON I-65 AT 70MPH (MY CRUISE WAS SET ALONG WITH ACC AND LKAS). SYSTEM WORKED WITH NO ISSUES FOR ~200 MILES. WHEN THIS HAPPENED, THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME SLOWED DOWN, AND MY CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN AS WELL. OUT OF THE BLUE, AS I GOT CLOSER, I GOT THIS ERROR IN MY DASH, COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM SEE YOUR DEALER. IT TOOK A SECOND FOR ME TO REALIZE THAT MY CAR WAS NO LONGER SLOWING DOWN. FORTUNATELY I STILL HAD ENOUGH DISTANCE TO PRESS ON MY BRAKES BEFORE HITTING THE BACK OF THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME.
THE CLEAR COAT ON THE HOOD AND ON THE TRIM JUST BELOW THE HOOD IS BEGINNING TO PEEL. AS A RESULT THE PAINT IS ALSO BEGINNING TO CHIP.
20,000 MILES FRONT STRUTS ARE BAD,50,000 MILES FUEL INJECTORS WENT OUT. 80,000 EGR, EMISSIONS AND LOSS OF POWER. ON A HIGH END TOURING, CLEAR COAT CAME OFF RIMS, RADIO AND HUD IS SPORADIC RADIO TURNS OFF AND ON WHEN DRIVING, ALL WHEN DRIVING ON INTERSTATE,
Rear break pads and rotors worn quickly at 17K miles. Inspected by honda dealer. Installed new brakes and rotors at Mavis Discount Tires and worned out again in 8 months from installation date.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord Sedan. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the low coolant warning light illuminated on the instrument panel, prompting him to refill the coolant reservoir. It returned to normal functionality, but around 10,000 miles later, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost all motive power. The contact was able to coast to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the head gasket and found that the engine block was cracked at cylinder three. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 70,000.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle in for service, she was made aware of the abnormal wear of the brake pads and rotors. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with all the wheel bearings. The vehicle was not repaired. Rear brakes were changed 3 times in a time lapse in less than 6 months my rear brakes are gone they are rubbing metal to metal this is my commuting car to and from work. The automatic braking sometimes activated on its own or when it does not detect the markers on the road or the vehicle will try to left has happened to me multiple times almost crashed to the wall in more than one occasion

WARNING WENT AWAY AFTER RESTARTING VEHICLE.DEALERSHIP COULD NOT REPLICATE WARNING. NOV 2020 ACC SYSTEM AGAIN FAILED, THREE TIMES, SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES, HIGHWAY 65-70 MPH, RESTARTING AGAIN CLEARED WARNING. WHEN SYSTEM FAILS THE CRUISE CONTROL ELEMENT TURNS OF, AND CANNOT BE REACTIVATED. ALSO, CAR SLOWS DOWN QUICKLY, BECAUSE SET SPEED IS NOT MAINTAINED.( POTENTIAL REAR END COLLISION SITUATION) CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW IN NOV 2018, NOT PROBLEM DETECTED UNTIL EARLY JULY 2020. PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED AS OF JAN 2021.
A FEW MONTHS AFTER BUYING THE 2018 ACCORD, HONDA HAD TO PUT A SOFTWARE UPDATE, WHICH THEY CLAIMED WAS GOING TO ADDRESS AND ISSUE WITH THE BACK-UP CAMERA (WHICH ALWAYS SEEMED TO WORK FINE, AT LEAST ON MY CAR). SHORTLY AFTER THE UPDATE, THE INFOTAINMENT UNIT HAD STARTED TO RANDOMLY (AND RATHER FREQUENTLY) RESET ITSELF EVERY FEW DAY. HONDA (AFTER SOME TRIPS TO THE DEALER AND SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO REACH OUT TO THE HONDA OF AMERICA HQ) HAD FAILED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE AND, EVENTUALLY, BEGRUDGINGLY HAD ADMITTED TO THE PROBLEM; HOWEVER, THEY HAD FAILED TO PRODUCE A FIX FOR MONTHS. MY VEHICLE STILL DOES NOT HAVE A FIX APPLIED AND KEEPS HAVING RESETS. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH A 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY (WHICH USES THE SAME SYSTEM), WHO FINALLY GAVE UP AND GOT RID OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE NUMBER OF RECALLS (AND, TO SOME EXTENT, VERY POOR HANDLING OF THE ISSUES BY HONDA DEALER(S) AND HONDA), BUT THEY HAD TO HAVE THEIR UNIT PHYSICALLY REPLACED. SUPPOSEDLY, THERE NOW A RECALL, BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER (SURPRISE, NOT). AS IT STANDS, HONDA MAY HAVE USED A PIECE OF HW WHICH HAS A BUILT-IN FAILURE (THIS COULD BE MORE INSIDIOUS THAN JUST A SW FIX) AND IS REFUSING TO ADDRESS IT IN HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES. WHY CAN'T THIS BE DONE VIA A 'SIMPLE' SW UPDATE THE WAY 21ST CENTURY CAR-MAKERS DO? OR IS HONDA SIMPLY HIDING AN INEVITABLE FAILURE VIA SW UPDATE? ON THE NOTED DATE, THIS WAS YET ANOTHER RESET OF THE UNIT. THE VEHICLE NOW HAS ABOUT 27,500 MILES, BUT HAS EXHIBITED THIS BEHAVIOR FOR THOUSANDS OF MILES/OVER A YEAR.

AFTER A SIGNIFICANT DELAY, THE BRAKE SYSTEM IS ENGAGED, BUT THE VEHICLES HAD, AT THAT POINT, LURCHED FORWARD SEVERAL INCHES, IF NOT OVER A FOOT. THIS INDICATES (JUST AS WITH THE COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEM DELAYS, DISCUSSED IN OTHER COMPLAINTS) THAT THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT ISSUE WITH THE TIMING OF THE CONTROL SYSTEM UTILIZED IN THE BRAKE HOLD, THE SENSOR(S) OR BOTH, WHERE THE SYSTEM FAILS TO DETECT THE CONDITIONS IN REAL TIME AND REACTS IN A DELAYED MANNER. AGAIN, AS WITH OTHER ISSUES ON THE LATER HONDA MODELS, HONDA HAS FAILED TO PERFORM COMPREHENSIVE TROUBLESHOOTING OF THE ISSUE (EVEN AFTER ME TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AS INDICATED BY HONDA. THIS IS A COMPLAINT FOR A SEPARATELY OCCURRING INSTANCE.
AIRBAG WARNING SIGN COMES AND DISAPPEARS RANDOMLY. ATTACHED IS THE WARNING SIGN. THERE ARE OTHER ACCORDS THAT SHOWED RECALL FOR AIRBAGS. I THINK MY CAR IS ALSO IN THE CATEGORY. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER A MONTH. LIGHT APPEARS BOTH WHILE STOPPED AND IN MOTION, RANDOMLY AND STAYS FOR SO LONG THE CAR IS ON AND THE DISAPPEARS WHEN RESTARTED THE CAR.

I WAS FOLLOWING MY WIFE'S CAR ON THE EXPRESSWAY. HER SPEED WAS 55 MPH. I HAD THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) ON MY VEHICLE SET FOR 70 MPH, SO NATURALLY I WAS ONLY 'PACING' HER AT HER SLOWER SPEED, ABOUT FOUR CAR-LENGTHS BACK. SUDDENLY, MY CAR ACCELERATED RAPIDLY TOWARD MY WIFE'S CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I HAD TO HIT THE BRAKES TO AVOID A COLLISION. AT THAT MOMENT, A WARNING APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STATING THAT RADAR OBSTRUCTED. BUT EVEN THEN, I WAS ABLE TO RECREATE THE SAME SCENARIO FOUR MORE TIMES BEFORE TURNING OFF ACC FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP. I ALSO NOTICED THAT WHILE THE CAR WAS SURGING FORWARD, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATED THAT THERE WAS NO CAR IN FRONT OF ME, EVEN THOUGH THERE CLEARLY WAS. IT WAS ALMOST AS IF MY CAR 'COULDN'T SEE' AND DECIDED TO ACCELERATE ANYWAY. THE SYSTEM SHOULD HAVE FAILED IN A SAFE MANNER, BUT IT CLEARLY DID NOT.
WHEN THE CAR IS SWITCHED ON AND STARTED DRIVING, RANDOMLY THE YELLOW PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE CENTER DASHBOARD WOULD START BLINKING. BLINKS WITH A 5 SECOND GAP ALMOST. AND RANDOMLY AFTER THAT HAPPENS, I GET THE ARE AIRBAG LIGHT ON MY DASH SAYING "SUPPLIMENT SYSTEM RESTRAINT PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER". IN ORDER TO RESET THIS, I HAVE TO SWITCH OFF THE CAR, WAIT FOR A FEW MINUTES AND START AGAIN. SOMETIMES THIS ISSUE WOULD COME RIGHT AWAY AFTER STARTING THE CAR, SOMETIME NOT FOR DAYS. 2 ISSUES THAT I AM HAVING IS THAT WHEN I PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL THE RADIO GOES CRAZY ( INTERFERENCE). DEALER NOTIFIED AND APPARENTLY CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG SO NO FIX FOR IT YET. THE OTHER ISSUE IS WITH CMBS IT FAILED 2WICE IN THE PAST 3 DAYS. CONDITIONS OF THE ROAD WERE GOOD, ( NO SNOW, NO RAIN) AND THE TRAFFIC WAS NOT HEAVY. BOTH TIMES THE SYSTEM FAILS TO OPERATE MID CRUSE AND SHUTS OFF. THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT TO WORK IS BY RESTARTING THE CAR BUT THIS IS NOT AN OPTION DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY.
I had gotten my fuel injector replaced back in 12/07/2020 and I saw where now the fuel pump recall was recently put out, but I sold my car back in 08/2023 but I paid for my fuel injector to be replaced, will I be eligible for a reimbursement?
ALL LIGHTS IN MY DASH CAME ON, BRAKE, ENGINE, STEERING, COLLISION, ACCELERATION. I TOOK IT IN TO PRIORITY HONDA AND WAS TOLD IT WAS CRACKED SPARK PLUGS AND IT WAS FIXED. I PAID $260. SIX DAYS LATER SAME THING. SAME DEALERSHIP LOOKED AT IT. SAID IT WAS FIX, SENT ME ON MY WAY, BUT TOLD ME THEY WOULD REPLACE SPARK PLUG COVER. SAME ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN. NOW BACK IN THE SHOP FOR A 4TH TIME. WAS TOLD I HAD BAD FUEL INJECTORS. COST $1700, BUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $200 DEDUCTIBLE. PROBABLY IS MY CAR WAS BRAND NEW WHEN PURCHASED AND I'M UNDER 5YR, 60,000 MILE WARRANTY. SO WHY AM I PAYING ANYTHING IF IT IS A POWERTRAIN FAILURE AND I'M UNDER WARRANTY. PLEASE HELP. THESE INCIDENTS HAPPEN AS SOON AS I STARTED MY CAR, AND I TOOK IT STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHEN IT DID. THE LAST INCIDENT WAS DECEMBER 5, 2020. BEFORE THAT WAS TWICE IN NOVEMBER BUT I WOULD HAVE TO VERIFY EXACT DATE BASED ON WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I SERVICE MY CAR, AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN SUBPAR. I COULDN'T EVEN GET A COMPLIMENTARY RENTAL UNLESS I PAID OUT OF POCKET.
