THE COVER ON THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT AT THE TOP CENTER OF THE REAR WINDOW ON THE COUPE VERSION OF THIS CAR DOES NOT STAY ADHERED TO THE WINDOW. THIS CAUSES A SAFETY ISSUE IN VISIBILITY IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. BESIDES REDUCING VISUAL SIGHT AREA, AT NIGHT THE RED LIGHT UPON BRAKE APPLICATION IS BOTH DISTRACTING AND OBLITERATES ANY OTHER VIEWING OUT OF THE REAR WINDOW. DEALER ATTEMPT TO FIX WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. PART NEEDS TO BE REDESIGNED FOR A BETTER INSTALLATION METHOD THAN DOUBLE SIDED TAPE ON THE EDGE OF THE PART. MANY OTHER COUPE OWNERS HAVE COMPLAINED ONLINE ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE.
ELECTRONIC BRAKE FAILURE - TURNED VEHICLE ON IN DRIVEWAY, BRAKES LOCKED. CAR TOWED. HONDA HAS A WORK AROUND PROCESS TO AVOID THIS. I READ POSTS THAT THIS OCCURRED TO PEOPLE WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR. HONDA DOES NOT HAVE A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM.

THIRD BRAKE LIGHT COVER WILL NOT STAY AFFIXED TO WINDOW CAUSING LIGHT TO FLOOD THE BACK GLASS WHEN BRAKING.
THE COVER ON THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT HAS FALLEN OFF. THE HONDA DEALERSHIP HAS TRIED TO FIX IT FOUR TIMES AND NOW SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO BECAUSE THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AT HONDA AND THERE IS NO FIX. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THERE IS NO WAY TO SEE OUT THE BACK WINDOW IN THE DARK OR WHEN CONDENSATION IS ON THE WINDOW, IF THE BRAKE IS ENGAGED. ALL YOU SEE IS A REFLECTION OF THE BRAKE LIGHT. WITHOUT THE BACKUP CAMERA, THE CAR WOULD NOT BE DRIVABLE. THIS OCCURS WHEN STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. IT
I PARKED MY 2016 HONDA CIVIC IN MY GARAGE AND SET THE PARKING BRAKE. I EXITED THE VEHICLE AND WALKED INTO THE HOUSE. THE VEHICLE MUST HAVE ROLLED OUT OF THE GARAGE (GARAGE SURFACE IS RATHER FLAT, PROBABLY WHY I DIDN'T SEE THIS HAPPEN) DOWN MY SLOPED DRIVEWAY ENDED UP IN THE NEIGHBORS YARD. VEHICLE SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE EXHAUST, BUMPER, UNDERSIDE OF TRUNK AND RIGHT REAR TIRE. THANK GOODNESS THAT NOBODY WAS INJURED. AT THE TIME I THOUGHT MAYBE I MADE A MISTAKE BUT NOW THAT HONDA HAS ISSUED A RECALL ON THE PARKING BRAKE I UNDERSTAND WHAT REALLY HAPPENED. I DID SET THE PARKING BRAKE BUT IT APPEARS THAT IT DID NOT EVER SET. I HAVE SINCE SEEN THIS HAPPEN AGAIN WHEN I HAVE PARKED ON OTHER SOMEWHAT FLAT SURFACES AND RETURNED TO MY VEHICLE AND IT APPEARS AS THOUGH IT HAD MOVED A SMALL AMOUNT. WITH THE RELEASE OF DETAILS IN THE SAFETY RECALL (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V725000 ) I NOW UNDERSTAND MORE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA CIVIC EQUIPPED WITH FIRESTONE TIRES ST140 (NA) TIRES, SIZE: 215/50/R17 (NA). WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR STRUCK A TREE AND FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE TIRE WAS NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,343.
WITHIN A MONTH OF PURCHASING MY CAR IN JULY THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT COVER HAS FALLEN DOWN. WHEN IT IS DARK THE RED LIGHT FROM THE BRAKE LIGHT REFLECTS ON THE REAR WINDOW MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE OUT THE REAR WINDOW. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN THE FAULT WAS INITIALLY NOTICED. HONDA HAS NOT COME UP WITH ANY FIX TO THIS PROBLEM. THE ADHESIVE USED FOR THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT COVER IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO WITH STAND THE HEAT ABSORBED BY THE BACK WINDSHIELD.
WE BOUGHT THIS CARE BRAND NEW FOR MY DAUGHTER FROM A HONDA DEALER. TWO WEEKS LATER WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING BACK HOME FROM SCHOOL AT AN INTERSECTION IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD , ENGINE WENT FROM 15MPH TO 6MPH TO ZERO. ENGINE COMPLETELY FAILED. LATER I FOUND OUT THAT THIS MODEL HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR A PROBLEM WITH A PISTON RING . HONDA SERVICE IS TELLING US THE A NEW ENGINE WILL BE INSTALLED ON THE CAR, DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO , NONE OF US IN OUR FAMILY FEELS SAFE ABOUT DRIVING THIS CAR , BECAUSE IF SHE WAS ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 55MPH AND THIS HAPPENED, IT WOULD BE A DISASTROUS SITUATION AND WE ARE SO THANKFUL THAT THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. HONDA ROADSIDE ASSISTANT CAME AN TOWED THE CAR TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT . THIS CAR HAS 320 MILES ON IT.
THE COVER FOR THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT ON THE REAR WINDOW DOES NOT STAY ATTACHED TO MY 2016 CIVIC COUPE. I BELIEVE IT'S GOING TO CAUSE A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN IT LIMITS MY VISIBILITY IN REAR VIEW MIRROR. I BRING MY NEW CAR BACK TO THE DEALER FOUR TIME SO FAR FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND STILL NOT FIX. THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT REPLACE THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT COVER BUT THE NEW PART DOES NOT STAY ATTACHED EITHER. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THIS PART NEEDS TO BE REDESIGNED FOR A BETTER ATTACHMENT TO THE REAR WINDOW . I DO HOPE AT THIS POINT THAT HONDA WILL FIX THIS PROBLEM SOON
CAR PURCHASED IN MAY , WITH 3700 K HAS HAD 3 ISSUES: GETTING READY TO BACK UP OUT OF DRIVEWAY - THE BACKUP SCREEN WAS DIMINISHED TO A SMALL SLIVER ACROSS THE TOP OF ENTIRE SCREEN WITH THE BALANCE OF SCREEN BLACK. TOOK IT TO DEALER TO BE FIXED. WHEN I DROVE AWAY, ERROR MESSAGES, "TIRE PRESSURE LOW, BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM, CHARGING SYSTEM PROBLEM AND ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM." TOK IT RIGHT BACK TO THE DEALER, THEY SAID THE TECHNICIAN FAILED TO FORGOT TO ALLOW THE COMPUTER TO RUN THRU THE ENTIRE CYCLE BEFORE RETURNING THE CAR TO ME. JUST HAD PROBLEM WITH THE A/C. CAR WOULD BLOW HOT AIR AFTER 15 MINS OF DRIVING - WAS TOLD HOSE WAS COLLASPING KEEPING COLD AIR FROM COMING OUT. HOSE WAS REPLACED- DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, SAME ISSUE AFTER 15 MINS OF DRIVING. HAD TO COMPLETELY TURN OFF AIR AND LEAVE IT OFF FOR 1/2 HOUR OR MORE TO GET A/C TO WORK. DEALER HAS NOW REPLACED THE A/C COMPRESSOR.
CERTAIN HONDA CIVIC'S HAVE APPLE'S CARPLAY INSTALLED, THROUGH THE IOS IPHONE MOBILE PHONE PLATFORM. WHEN ENABLED, OR PLUGGED INTO THE CAR, NAVIGATION SUPPORT PROVIDED BY APPLE'S MAPS APPLICATION GOES INTO 'DAY MODE' WHILE AT NIGHT. THIS CREATES A HUGE AMOUNT OF BRIGHTNESS IN THE CAR AND BLINDS THE DRIVER WITH BRIGHTNESS. THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM AND I CAN EASILY SEE HOW ACCIDENTS CAN BE TRIGGERED DUE TO BLINDING INTERIOR LIGHT DUE TO THE APPLE MAPS (THROUGH CARPLAY) NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THIS IS CLEARLY AN ERROR, OR POOR DESIGN BY APPLE/HONDA. I BELIEVE THAT CARPLAY'S NAVIGATION FUNCTION IS A DANGER TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC BECAUSE HAVING HUGE AMOUNTS OF SUDDEN BRIGHTNESS CAUSES DISTRACTION AND MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH VISION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA CIVIC EQUIPPED WITH HANKOOK KINERGY (NA) TIRES, SIZE: 215/55R16 (NA). WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT AND DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TREAD SEPARATED AND CAUSED THE TIRE TO BLOW OUT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE NOT PROVIDED.
BLACK BOX HOLDING 3RD BRAKE LIGHT IS FALLING AND BLOCKING THE REAR VIEW . IT IS DOWN BY 3 INCHES AND THRE'S LIMITED VISIVILITY WHEN LOOKING AT THE REAR OF THE CAR AS THIS BOX IS BLOCKING THE VIEW. WEST COVINA NORM REEVES DON'T HAVE ANYMORE OPTION TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. THEY HAVE USED VELCRO AND TAPE AND DUE TO THE HOT WEATHER THIS 4X4X4X4 BLACK BOX IS A SAFETY HAZARD ESP. IN THE NIGHT WHERE YOU DONT HAVE FULL VIEW AT THE REAR OF THE CAR. NO OPTION TO FIX THIS PROBLEM BUT STILL WAITING FOR THE DEALER TO CONTACT ME IF THERES ANY SOLUTION. THIS IS A BRAND NEW CAR WHEN I BOUGHT IT WITH 26 MILES ON IT HONDA COUPE 2016.
DAILY MAYBE A FEW TIMES A DAY WHEN I ATTEMPT TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP THE CAR HESITATES FOR 1-3 SECONDS BEFORE THE THROTTLE RESPONDS. THIS IS POSSIBLY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IF PULLING AWAY WHEN THERE IS A LIMITED OPENING TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION IT COULD CAUSE ACCIDENTS. I'M WONDERING IF IT HAS TO DO WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION AS MY 2015 HONDA CIVIC WITH CVT ALSO HAD THIS ISSUE FROM TIME TO TIME. THIS ISSUE HAPPENS DAILY AND USUALLY IN THE MORNING ON A LEFT TURN ABOUT 3/4 MILE FROM MY HOME. USUALLY AT THE SAME CORNER DAILY IN THE MORNING BUT IT DOES HAPPEN AT OTHER TIMES THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND I THINK IT MAY BE MORE COMMON NOT LONG AFTER STARTING TO DRIVE AFTER HAVING BEEN SITTING FOR A BIT. I LOVE HONDA'S AND HAVE HAD MANY OF THEM BUT THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND RESOLVED!
THIRD BRAKE LIGHT CAME CAME LOOSE SHORTLY AFTER DRIVING THE CAR OFF THE DEALER LOT AND PERSISTED AFTER ATTEMPTING A FIX. DEALER REPLACED THE ADHESIVE AND IT DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. THIRD BRAKE LIGHT HOUSING LOOSE SEVERELY AFFECTS VISIBILITY THROUGH REAR WINDSHIELD. BRAKING AT NIGHT ILLUMINATES THE ENTIRE REAR WINDSHIELD AND SEVERELY OBSTRUCTS THE VIEW. DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE THAT REQUIRES A RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COVER NEEDED TO BE RE-ATTACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

REAR BRAKE LIGHT HANGS DOWN REAR WINDOW, COVERING ALMOST 50% VISIBILITY. WORSENED VISIBILITY AT NIGHT DUE TO THE WHOLE REAR WINDOW BEING LIT UP RED WHEN BRAKE IS APPLIED. HAVE TAKEN TO DEALER, THEY CLAIM THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE ISSUE, REFUSE TO OFFER ANY TYPE OF REMEDY FOR THE ISSUE.
I HAVE A BRAND NEW 2016 CIVIC 1.5T EX-L WITH 1,000 MILES AND A CRACKED ENGINE BLOCK. WE NOTICED THE ENGINE OIL ALL OVER OUR GARAGE. IT'S BEEN LEAKING FOR A WHILE, PROBABLY SINCE WE GOT IT, BUT WE DIDN'T REALIZE UNTIL TODAY THAT THE OIL WAS COMING FROM OUR BRAND NEW CAR. AFTER OUR OWN INVESTIGATION, WE RULED OUT ALL OF OUR OTHER CARS AND TOOK IT INTO DEALERSHIP TODAY.
THIRD BRAKE COVER OFF, AND THEY TOLD ME THAT NOW CAN NOT BE PERMANENTLY REPAIRED, WHEN YOU DEPRESS THE BRAKE ENTIRE GLASS IS RED . WIPERS CAN NOT CLEAN THE WINDSCREEN .
1. VEHICLE ABOUT 10 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE WHILE IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET SUDDENLY STOPPED AND ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON. TOWED BACK TO DEALERSHIP, FOUND ABS MODULATOR LEAKING. 2. ABOUT 3 MONTHS LATER CAR WAS STATIONARY IN A PARKING LOT WOULD NOT START. TOWED BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS FAULTY.
THIRD BRAKE LIGHT COVER WILL NOT STAY UP. THIS CAUSES A VISIBILITY ISSUE WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT OR IN RAIN, AS THE REFLECTION FROM THE RED LIGHT COVERS THE ENTIRE BACK WINDOW AND REFLECTS IN THE SIDE MIRRORS. YOU CANNOT SEE. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE TEMP IS HOT OR NOT. LEASED IN OHIO END OF JUNE AND WAS LIKE THAT THEN, AS WERE ALL COUPES ON LOT. DEALER SAID THEY COULD GLUE IN OHIO. CALLED ANOTHER DEALER HE SAID NOT TO DO THAT, WOULD VOID WARRANTY. CAR NOW WITH SON AT COLLEGE IN FLORIDA. CALLED DEALER THERE, KNEW NOTHING. THIS IS A HAZARD DRIVING AND I WANT IT DOCUMENTED, AS PRETTY MUCH ALL OTHER 2016 HONDA COUPE OWNERS DO, THAT IF THIS CAUSES AN ACCIDENT, THERE HAVE BEEN PLENTY OF COMPLAINTS AT HONDA SERVICE DEPARTMENTS ABOUT. THERE IS A FORUM THAT HAS PAGES OF THE SAME COMPLAINT AND ATTEMPTED FIXES, BUT NONE WORK. IT EVEN STATES THAT SINCE JULY 2016 HONDA IS WORKING ON A FIX. THIS IS A DANGER AND NEEDS FIXED ASAP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE, WHICH CAUSED A RED GLARE THAT IMPAIRED THE CONTACT'S VISION. THE 3RD BRAKE LIGHT THAT'S ON THE INSIDE OF THE REAR WINDOW (I HAVE THE COUPE) HAS A COVER WHICH KEEPS THE LIGHT DIRECTED OUTSIDE OF THE CAR AND ATTACHES TO THE WINDOW. THE GLUE HOLDING IT TO THE WINDOW ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH, SO THE COVER HANGS DOWN, BLOCKING SOME OF THE REAR WINDOW, REDUCING VISIBILITY. ALSO, AT NIGHT THE LIGHT ITSELF WASHES OUT THE REAR WINDOW, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE OUT THE BACK AT ALL. THIS PROBLEM IS AFFECTING 100% OF THE 2016 COUPES THAT HAVE EVER BEEN OUT ON A WARM DAY (HEAT MELTS THE GLUE), AND HONDA ISN'T FIXING IT. THEY'VE BEEN STRINGING US ALONG FOR 5 MONTHS NOW, PROMISING A FIX IN "A MONTH" OR "A COUPLE WEEKS", WITH NO RESOLUTION. LAST I HEARD, THEY SAID ON NOVEMBER 7TH THAT IT WOULD BE RELEASED IN 8-12 WEEKS. IT FEELS LIKE THEIR PLAN IS TO JUST KEEP THIS UP UNTIL PEOPLE SUPER GLUE THE CASING TO THE WINDOW THEMSELVES OR DECIDE BADGERING HONDA ABOUT IT ISN'T WORTH IT ANYMORE. PLEASE MAKE THEM FIX THEIR PROBLEM.
VEHICLE HAS REPEATEDLY THROWN ERRORS WITH WARNINGS TO NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND HAVE IT INSPECTED BY THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE HAS ALREADY BEEN TO THE SHOP TWICE FOR THE PROBLEM. IN BOTH CASES HONDA INSTALLED AN UPDATED VSA MODULATOR THEY CLAIMED WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. IT HAS NOT. NOT THE LOCAL DEALER DOESN'T EVEN WANT TO SEE THE VEHICLE AS THEY TELL ME THEIR IS NOTHING MORE THEY CAN DO FOR US. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE EMAILED HONDA CORPORATE TO HAVE A REGIONAL REP CONTACT US. IT HAS BEEN 4 DAYS SINCE. THEY SAY THE VEHICLE IS SAFE, BUT YET THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. THE VEHICLE HAS A DEFECT THEY CANNOT CORRECT, AND MY CAR IS NOT ALONE. ERRORS INCLUDE: CMBS PROBLEM, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM, TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM, BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM, ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, TIRE PRESSURE LOW, AND CHARGING SYSTEM PROBLEM.
THE COVER FOR THE REVERSE LIGHT, REAR WINDOW, OF THE 2016 CIVIC HAS DROPPED AND AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS TRYING TO GET AMERICAN HONDA TO CORRECT, STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. THE COVER CAN'T BE REMOVED AS THE REVERSE LIGHT IS TOO BRIGHT AND MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE OUT THE REAR WINDOW AT NIGHT. DURING THE DAY, THE COVER OBSCURES OBJECTS/CARS IN THE REAR VIEW WINDOW.

THESE MESSAGES GENERALLY OCCURRED UPON STARTUP BUT MANY TIMES WHILE DRIVING. LAST NIGHT, ERROR MESSAGES APPEARED IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND THE VEHICLE REFUSED TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND WOULD NOT START UP AT THIS TIME.
HIGH BRAKELIGHT COVER WILL NOT REMAIN ATTACHED TO REAR WINDOW AND HANGS DOWN. THE VELCRO ATTACHING STRIPS PULL AWAY FROM THE GLASS IN HOT WEATHER. THE RESULT IS THAT REARWARD VISION IS REDUCED, AND AT NIGHT, APPLYING THE BRAKES WILL LIGHT UP THE ENTIRE REAR GLASS OBSTRUCTING OUTWARD VISION WHETHER VEHICLE IS MOVING OR NOT. PASSENGERS IN THE REAR SEAT WILL HAVE THE PLASTIC COVER HIT THEIR HEADS.
THE HOUSING THAT SURROUNDS THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT IS NOT FULLY AFFIXED TO THE REAR INTERIOR WINDOW. THE HOUSING JUST BOUCES UP AND DOWN AND RED LIGHT FLOODS THE BACK WINDOW WHEN THE BRAKE IS APPLIED. THIS SITUATION MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE OUT OF THE BACK WINDOW AT NIGHT.

THE PROBLEM HAPPENED AT LEAST THREE TIMES PER WEEK IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS. 2) INFORMATION SCREEN SHOWS SIX DIFFERENT WARNING MESSAGES AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE, INCLUDING ABS FAILURE, VSA FAILURE, LOW BATTERY LEVEL, COLLISION MITIGATION FAILURE, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL FAILURE ETC. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THE REASON THEY TOLD ME IS THAT THEY HAD ONE OF MY TIRES REPLACED ONE WEEK BEFORE AND TPMS HAD NOT BEEN RESET CORRECTLY. HOWEVER, WHY IT TOOK TWO WEEKS FOR THE SYSTEM TO GIVE THE WARNING MESSAGES INSTEAD OF RIGHT AFTER TIRE GOT CHANGED? 3) TPMS FAILED TO DETECT FLAT TIRE. I WAS DRIVING A CAR WITH ONE FLAT TIRE FOR 1 MILE, AND THE TPMS EVEN FAILED TO DETECT THE FLAT TIRE.
COMPUTER SYSTEM HAD A MAJOR MALFUNCTION, TRIGGERING 6 DIFFERENT WARNINGS, AND AN AUDIBLE MESSAGE TO IMMEDIATELY PULL OVER AND PARK THE VEHICLE AND HAVE A DEALER INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENED AFTER FILLING UP THE VEHICLE WITH GAS. MY FAMILY WAS IN THE VEHICLE WITH THE CAR IN ACCESSORY MODE, LISTENING TO THE RADIO. AFTER FINISHING UP FUELING, ABOUT FIVE MINUTES LATER, I RETURNED TO THE VEHICLE. I GOT IN, SHUT THE DOOR, PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, PRESSED THE BUTTON TO START THE VEHICLE, PUT ON MY SEAT BELT, AND THEN SAW THE MESSAGES. AFTER A FEW MINUTES WITH THE CAR ON AND READING THE MESSAGES, A VOICE STARTED TO TALK AND TELL ME, TO STOP THE VEHICLE, PARK IT, AND HAVE A DEALER LOOK AT IT. THE 6 MESSAGES ON THE CENTER DISPLAY SAID VARIOUS THINGS. SUCH AS THEY WERE TITLED: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM THE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM CMBS PROBLEMS ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM TIRE PRESSURE LOW BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM THE ALARMING NUMBER OF PROBLEMS ABOUT THE BRAKE SYSTEM ALONE, TELLS ME THIS VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN. COMBINE THAT WITH THE AUDIABLE MESSAGE ABOUT PULLING OVER AND PARKING THE VEHICLE, NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND IS GOING TO DRIVE IT UNTIL IT IS PROPERLY LOOKED AT. THE DEALER DID LOOK AT IT, AND SAID IT WAS THE VSA MODULATOR, AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, THERE IS CASE AFTER CASE OF THIS NOT FIXING THE PROBLEM FOUND ONLINE. YET PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES, INCLUDING MINE ARE BEING SENT BACK ONTO THE ROAD IN THESE VEHICLES OF WHICH HONDA HAS NOT AND CANNOT PROVIDE A FIX FOR BECAUSE IT, ITSELF DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. ANY THEREFORE NO ONE KNOWS IF THEIR CAR IS CRYING WOLF, AND JUST WAITING TO KILL THEM. I DON'T WANT MY CAR IF I CAN'T TRUST IT. I JUST CAN"T WAGER MY FAMILIES LIVES ON THAT. My car’s steering has a problem since 3+ years. The steering veers on its own and moves to the other lane even when I am going straight. I have to bring it back to lane. I am driving since 20+ years and can simply say that is dangerous. At first I thought it was wheel alignment issue and took them to dealership. I had spent some money for that repair, but to my surprise the problem was still there the moment I drove out of the dealership after that repair. I was kind of shocked and upset that the problem still remained. I took them to local mechanics couple of times and did the wheel alignment but the problem still remained. I saw in the news about the Honda recall for the steering issue and when I checked if my car was in the recall list and again to my shock it is not there. This is big cover up for reputation but I think 2016 civic model is in that list of recall. Please look into this matter and take the necessary steps.
