It started with a feeling of the tires sticking to the road when trying to make small adjustments to position with the steering wheel. I was not able to maintain a straight line drive without the constant small jerks associated with the sticky feeling. The steering quickly deteriorated to the point of barely being able to keep the car on the road because of the inability to steer. The issue was confirmed by the dealer and the driveshaft components replaced, at my expense. I was told that there is a known defect in the 2022 CRV hybrids but my VIN was not included in the recall for some reason. There were no warning lamps or messages during the failure.
Steering will stick when turning and require additional force to correct. This is a safety hazard as steering could become stuck or result in overcorrection and leading to an accident.
El volante al girar a lado del pasajero rechina al igual cuando va de reversa, fui con el comerciante BIG O TIRES por porque el ruido es bastante (esa fue la primera vez) no le encontraron nada, pensé que era falta de líquido de frenos, pero después de hacer el chequeo y revisar que estuviera bien igual siguió con el chirrido, luego lo lleve por segunda vez allí mismo a BIG O y encontraron que era un problema con la parte del volante que conecta con el rack and pinion, que lo tenía que llevar al dealership, entonces en eso ando. El parking collision no funciona, con objetos sin movimiento como un carro estacionado atrás, por lo cual si no se pone atención puede causar un accidente.
The steering wheel sticks when I'm in a gradual turn and doesn't want to return to center. I have to pull it out of the turn. A few times, I've actually veered out of my lane. Sounds like this is a known problem with the worm gear, and the gearbox needs replacing. I have an appointment with my dealer to troubleshoot it. UNKNOWN issue with steering. When steering along long curves on the highway and then trying to straighten the steering wheel, the steering wheel will feel stuck and take a bit more force to overcome the position it gets stuck at before being able to be straightened out. Adding this amount of force to overcome the stuck steering wheel causes the car to swerve slightly.
even when the steering assist is off it pulls to left really bad and it just feels like car is steering itself,also the braking system we give you an alert when no threat..
Brakes: loud squealing while in reverse and stop sign. Also steering and turning steering wheel. Fuel system looses power. Getting poor gas mileage. Rear windows tweet. Took to Vern Eide Honda on 12/08/22. Top certified mechanic looked at brakes steering and fuel system no problems found. Oil life dropped 20% in less than a month drive work and home. Less than 50 miles per day. Additional rear windows tweet and door handle squeak like rusty. Problem started in August of 2022 and is now 90%worse. Had also taken vehicle to Harr Honda on 1/16/23 they greased brakes said nothing they can do wait for recall.
