THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THEN ONCE. I WOULD BE GETTING GAS, AND WHEN THE PUMP CLICKED TO INDICATE THAT IT WAS FULL I WOULD TAKE THE NOZZLE OUT AND THE GAS WOULD COME SPILLING OUT OF THE TANK ALL OVER THE SIDE OF THE CAR AND DOWN THE TIRE. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING TO ME. IM AFFRAID OF A FIRE. I HAVEN'T TAKEN IT TO MY MECHANIC YET. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS. I REALLY HOPE HONDA LOOKS INTO THIS. *JS

I HAVE GONE THROUGH 3 SEPARATE RIGHT LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS IN THE PAST THREE YEARS, GOT THE RECALL NOTICE FOR A SHORT IN THE HEADLIGHT SYSTEM, HAD IT FIXED, AND YET THE RIGHT HEADLIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT, EVEN THOUGH THE BULB IS NOT BURNED OUT. DEALER HAS NO IDEA WHAT IS WRONG, AND BELIEVES IT TO BE A FUSE ISSUE. THIS CAR IS ABSOLUTELY FALLING APART. *TR

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY A BODY SHOP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BODY SHOP REPLACED THE AIR BAGS. BOTH MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING I COULD SMELL A RUBBER BURNING SMELL AND SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. *JS
I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET RECALL WORK COMPLETED AT HONDA CARS OF BRADENTON ON MY 2004 HONDA CRV FOR OVER 4 MONTHS. I CALLED ON 12/11/14 TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD THE EARLIEST APPOINTMENT WAS 2-13-15. JUST PRIOR TO THAT APPOINTMENT, I WAS CONTACTED TO INFORM ME THAT THE PARTS WERE ON BACK ORDER AND THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN THE PARTS CAME IN. TODAY IS APRIL 2, 2015 AND I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM. I HAVE RECENTLY SOLD THE VEHICLE AND REPORTED THE NEW OWNER TO HONDA. THE NEW OWNER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE RECALL. IT APPEARS THAT A SAFETY RECALL IS NOT THAT IMPORTANT TO HONDA. *TR
YOKOHAMA CAR TIRES. CHECKING/CRACKING ON ALL 4 TIRES. TIRES ARE LOSING AIR BECAUSE OF CRACKING ALL THE TIME. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE! LESS THAN 35,000 MILE WEAR ON TIRES. WARRANTY IS FOR 60,000 MILES P205/70R15 95T. OTHER NUMBERS ON TIRES - S316 W4850L-2 AND 8224010. YOKOHAMA TIRE COMPLAINS OF CRACKING ARE REPORTED NUMEROUS TIMES ON THE WEB. I WAS DRIVING ALONG ,THE CAR STARTED MAKING A NOISE LIKE AN AIRPLANE ,I PULLED OVER ,THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. ON INSPECTION IT WAS FOUND THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR HAD A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. THE JOB INVOLVED REPLACING THE COMPRESSOR,THE CONDENSER,RECEIVER/DRYER,EXPANSION VALVE, CONTAMINATED DRIVE BELT, COMPLETE FLUSH OF THE SYSTEM, EVACUATION AND RECHARGE OF SYSTEM. QUITE A COSTLY REPAIR AT $2737.02 THERE HAVE BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS FILED ON THIS ISSUE, AND ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE,UNLESS IT HAD HAPPENED AT SPEED ON A BUSY FREEWAY , IT WAS CLEARLY A DEFECTIVE COMPONENT, THAT SO MANY CRV OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED. *TR
SRS LIGHT CAME ON AND REMAINS ON. DEALER DIAGNOSED PROBLEM AS DEFECTIVE SRS CONTROL MODULE. DEALER SAYS THIS PART OF THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY. A CALL TO HONDA'S 800 NUMBER RESULTED IN THE SAME CONCLUSION AND NO MONETARY ASSISTANCE COULD BE OFFERED FOR A REPAIR THAT WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $1000.00. *TR
MY CR-V EX WAS SERVICED BY THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM. THE ENGINE, CAT CONVERTER, AND CV-BOOT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, BECAUSE THE ENGINE HAS A SERVER OIL LEAK INTERNALLY. THIS OIL LEAK MY ALSO COST ME A TRANSMISSION. THESE ISSUES COST OVER $8,400.00 AND COUNTING. I ONLY OWNED THE CAR 66 DAYS BEFORE I WAS TOLD THAT THE ENGINE IS JUNK. A FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT THE DEALERSHIP OWES ME MY MONEY ON THIS ISSUE, BECAUSE IT WAS BROUGHT TO THERE ATTENTION LESS THEN A WEEK AFTER I PURCHASED THIS CAR. *TR
WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE SPEED FROM 40MPH, GAS PEDAL STUCK IN DEPRESSED POSITION AND RPM STUCK AT 4-5K. UNABLE TO USE BRAKE APPLICATION AND EFFORTS TO UNSTICK GAS PEDAL FAILED. THE ONLY SOLUTION WAS TO TURN IGNITION AND SHUT ENGINE OFF. FORTUNATELY, IT WAS EARLY IN THE MORNING AND THERE WAS ABLE TIME AND DISTANCE FOR MANUAL INTERVENTION TO CORRECT SITUATION AND AVOID A POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS OUTCOME. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION ON 10/29/2014 AND SINCE THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED IT WAS NOT RECORDED AS A DEFECT. *TR
STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTER COMES LOOSE EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THE THE STEERING WHEEL TO MOVE LOOSELY. HAD OCCURED SEVERAL TIMES IN LAST 7 YEARS.

BECAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL (WHEN DEPRESSED) IS LOWER THAN THE THROTTLE (GAS PEDAL), MY FOOT HAS HIT BOTH THE BRAKE AND THE GAS AT THE SAME TIME CAUSING THE CAR TO LURCH FORWARD ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, . I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THIS PROBLEM TWICE AND BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR, THEREFORE NOTHING THEY CAN DO. WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, I BUMPED MY KEYS LIGHTLY WITH MY RIGHT KNEE CAUSING THE CAR TO SUDDENLY SWITCH OFF, AND MAKING STEERING DIFFICULT. I WAS ABLE TO COAST OFF THE FREEWAY TO A STOP AT AN EXIT, AND RESTART MY CAR. IT APPEARS THAT THE CAR SWITCHES OFF WITH EVEN THE SLIGHTEST BUMP TO THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION. THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO THE CURRENT GM RECALL. *TR

WHILE DRIVING FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, THE AC WAS WORKING JUST FINE WHEN A HIGH PITCHED SQUEAL STARTED COMING FROM THE ENGINE. LIFTING MY FOOT OFF THE GAS SEEMED TO HELP AND THE NOISE WENT AWAY, BUT THE NOISE CAME BACK, AND A THUMPING SOUND STARTED TO COME THROUGH AND A SMALL POP HAPPENED, SENDING SOME SORT OF BLACK CANISTER SHOOTING OUT FROM UNDER MY CAR AND ONTO THE FREEWAY. I PULLED OVER AND CHECKED THE CAR FOR DAMAGE, NOT SEEING ANY MAJOR MARKS ON THE ENGINE AND NO LIQUIDS LEAKING FROM THE CAR. ONLY WHEN I REACHED MY DESTINATION AND THE CAR WOULD BLOW BOILING HOT AIR OUT OF THE VENTS DID I NOTICE AND ISSUE. THE DEALER DID AN INSPECTION OF THE CAR, AND TOLD ME THE AC HAD LITERALLY FALLEN OUT OF THE ENGINE BLOCK. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW A MAJOR PIECE OF A VEHICLE CAN FALL OUT, AND NOT BE ABLE TO BE REPLACED WITHOUT PAYING $2,000. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT THE PART THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WAS UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
SRS LIGHT RECENTLY AND CURRENTLY REMAINS ON IN MY 2004 HONDA CRV. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO AVALON HONDA NJ DEALER 2 TIMES AFTER SPEAKING TO THEM 3 TIMES, THEY PROCASTINATED TO OBTAIN THE PART. I WAS INFORMED THEY WILL GET IT SOON AND WILL COST ME $693.00. AFTER I PERFORMED A CONSUMER RESEARCH OF THE VEHICLE, THIS IS A HIGH SAFETY ALERT ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE A PRIORITY FOR HONDA TO ANNOUNCE TO THE PUBLIC FOR ROAD SAFETY AND CONSUMER SAFETY. I WAS ACCELERATING AT A YIELD SIGN TO MERGE ONTO THE MAIN ROAD. I REALIZED THE CAR WAS ACCELERATING MORE THAN IT SHOULD BE AND WAS QUICKLY APPROACHING A VERY UNSAFE SPEED FOR THIS ROAD (APPROX 60-70 MPH). I WAS DRIVING THROUGH MY AREA AT OR NEAR 15 MPH. WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN TO A SPEED OF 30-35 MPH. THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT VERY STIFF AND WAS DIFFICULT TO HOLD THE CAR AT 30 MPH WITH CONSTANT BRAKING. THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC AND THE INCIDENT OCCURRED NOT FAR FROM MY HOME, SO I PROCEEDED BACK HOME. THE CAR WOULD NOT DECELERATE. I HAVE A VERY LONG DRIVEWAY THAT I PULLED INTO, PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL, TURNED OFF THE KEY AND PULLED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THERE WAS A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AS THE ENGINE WOUND DOWN. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPENED. THEY SENT A TOW VEHICLE TO PICK UP THE CAR SINCE IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE IT TO THEM. THEY SAID THEY DROVE THE CAR MULTIPLE TIMES AND PERFORMED DIAGNOSTIC TESTS ON THE VEHICLE FINDING NO PROBLEMS AFTER HAVING THE CAR FOR THREE DAYS. THE INVOICE HOWEVER SHOWED IDENTICAL MILEAGE IN AND OUT OF THEIR FACILITY WHEN IT WAS PICKED UP JAN. 2, 2014. ON FEB. 11, 2014, I WAS IN TRAFFIC STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, MY RIGHT FOOT PRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. WITHOUT WARNING THE ENGINE REVVED, THE BRAKE PEDAL STIFFENED AND THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD HITTING THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME, DOING DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES. BOUGHT 4 NEW GOODYEAR ASSURANCE FUEL MAX TIRES FOR MY HONDA CR-V IN AUG 2012. RIGHT AFTER BEING PUT ON, NOTICED LITTLE BULGES IN EACH TIRE ON OUTSIDE, BUT THE TIRE COMPANY PERSONNEL CLAIMED IT WAS NORMAL. AFTER MORE TIME, IT NEVER WENT AWAY AND THE TIRES BEGAN GETTING A LARGER BULGE. MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THEY SEEMED DEFECTIVE. I TRIED 3 X TO GET THE TIRE STORE TO REPLACE THEM, THEY SAID THEY WERE OK...THEY LOOSE AIR FREQUENTLY, AND MAKE A TERRIBLE THUMPING SOUND WHEN I DRIVE. THESE ARE NOT GOOD TIRES AND I HAVEN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE MILEAGE WARRANTY ON THESE. I WILL NOW CONTACT GOODYEAR DIRECTLY AFTER READING SOME OF THE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS WITH THESE TIRES. *TR
