MY 2007 HONDA CR-V HAS HAD A LOCK ACTUATOR MALFUNCTION PASSENGER DOOR REMAINS UNLOCKED/LOCKED WHILE DRIVING AND UNLOCKS WHEN I TRY TO LOCK THE CAR, WHICH IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK! ALSO, THE DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK WHEN I GOT BELOW 10MPH AND MAKE A HUGE CLICKING SOUND. I CAN NOT DRIVE ONE OF MY NEPHEWS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TO AVOID SAFETY CONCERNS, EVERY NIGHT WHEN I LOCK MY CAR, THE RIGHT REAR PASSENGER DOOR IS UNLOCKED OR LOCKED....DEPENDING ON IT'S MOOD. I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS HUGE SAFETY RISK AND THAT THIS IS TYPICAL OF HONDA AND ITS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. IF I WANT HONDA TO FIX THE PROBLEM, IT WILL COST OVER $700 FOR A PROBLEM CAUSED BY HONDA. I HAVE READ ONLINE HUNDREDS OF OTHER 2007 HONDA CR-V OWNERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME LOCK ACTUATOR ISSUE AND FEEL THEIR SAFETY IS AT RISK FOR THEIR PASSENGERS AND FOR THE CAR IN GENERAL. I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR THE DRIVER DOOR BUT THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL THE PASSENGER DOOR AND NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR A REIMBURSEMENT. I DO HOME WHEN THEY FIX MY DRIVER DOOR THAT WORKS THEY WILL FIX THE WINDOW THAT SHAKES IF I LET IN HALT WAY DOWN. *TR
BOTH THE LEFT SIDE OEM TIRES ON MY HONDA CRV 2007 MODEL BLEW UP ON ME WHILE CHANGING LANES. I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING AND HAVE BEEN ROTATING THEM AS RECOMMENDED BY HONDA (ALL THE SERVICING ON THE VEHICLE WERE DONE AT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGH THE CAR). LUCKILY, I WAS ON A LOCAL ROAD AT 40 MPH SO I COULD KEEP MY CAR UNDER CONTROL. I HAVE LOOKED AT THE FORUMS AND HAVE FOUND THAT MANY OTHER 2007 CRV CUSTOMERS ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE ABNORMAL WEAR ON THEIR OEM (IN MY CASE CONTINENTAL) TIRES. I TOOK THE CAR TO A HONDA DEALER WHO RECOMMENDED THAT I SHOULD CHANGE ALL FOUR TIRES- WHICH COST ME CLOSE TO $1000. MY CAR ONLY HAD 29000 MILES ON IT. HONDA APPARENTLY BLAMES THE TIRE MANUFACTURER AND WANTS ITS CUSTOMERS TO COMPLAIN DIRECTLY TO THE TIRE MAKER. THIS IS ABSURD SINCE THEE ARE MANY COMPONENTS IN THE CAR THAT HONDA DID NOT MAKE ON ITS OWN. DOES IT EXPECT THE CUSTOMER TO LOCATE THE MAKER OF EACH COMPONENT TO COMPLAIN WHEN THINGS GO WRONG? THIS IS HONDA'S PROBLEM AND IT SHOULD COMPENSATE ITS EXISTING CUSTOMERS AND TAKE CORRECTIVE STEPS FOR THE NEW CARS. THE BACK PASSENGER'S SIDE WHEEL HAD A "HOT" SMELL COMING FROM IT. HONDA SERVICE DETERMINED I HAD A BRAKE PAD THAT HAD GOTTEN STUCK. BRAKE PAD WAS REPLACED, AS WELL AS FIXING THE ROTOR. THE SMELL CONTINUED. TOOK THE CAR BACK IN AND THEY CANNOT FIND ONE THING "RUBBING" THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS "HOT" SMELL. THEY ARE STUMPED. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR DUE TO THE STRONG SMELL, WONDERING IF SOMETHING IS GOING TO WEAR OUT OR CATCH ON FIRE. MANY INTERNET BLOGS HAVE SHOWN MANY, MANY HONDA OWNERS TO BE EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING. NO OTHER TIRES/WHEEL WELLS SMELL HOT - SOME OWNERS BELIEVE IT IS DUE TO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM NEXT TO THE TIRE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CRV. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE WOULD NOT UNLOCK FROM THE INSIDE OR THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO ENTER/ EXIT THE VEHICLE FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL BODY SHOP TO HAVE THE LOCKS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAS NOT CALLED THE MANUFACTURE REGARDING THIS ISSUE. THE CONTACT FEELS THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE CONTACT WAS LOCKED OUT OF THE VEHICLE IN FREEZING COLD WEATHER. FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000. JO
THE DRIVERS DOOR AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AUTOMATICALLY LOCK THEMSELVES IMMEDIATELY AFTER OPENING (WITHIN 2 SECONDS). THE ACTUATORS IN BOTH DOORS SEEM TO BE STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN AS THEY CAN EASILY BECOME LOCKED IN THE CAR. THE DRIVERS DOOR IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE BECAUSE ONCE IT LOCKS ITSELF IT TRIGGERS ALL OTHER DOORS TO LOCK THEMSELVES AS WELL EFFECTIVELY LOCKING YOU OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE DOOR UNLOCKS. WHILE RUNNING, KEYS IN THE IGNITION, NO KEYS, DOESN'T MATTER. WILL COST ROUGHLY $250 PER DOOR TO REPAIR AND BECAUSE THE ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN ACKNOWLEDGE YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST OEM PARTS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR LOCK SYSTEM FAILED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE DOOR ACTUATOR, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND STATED THAT THE LOCK SYSTEM FUSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
VEHICLE BEGAN RESETTING DOOR LOCKS WHENEVER VEHICLE ACCELERATED THROUGH 7 OR 8 MPH FROM STOP. AFTER AWHILE, DRIVER SIDE FRONT AND BACK DOORS WOULD NOT LOCK AUTOMATICALLY AND INTERMITTENTLY THE DRIVER DOOR COULD NOT BE MANUALLY LOCKED (HEAVY RESISTANCE WHEN TRYING TO FLIP LATCH). ON A LESS FREQUENT BASIS, THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WOULD NOT AUTO OR MANUALLY LOCK. FOR LAST SEVERAL MONTHS THE DOOR LOCK SOLENOIDS FIRE LIKE A MACHINE GUN WHENEVER THE DOORS ARE MANUALLY OR AUTOMATICALLY LOCKED. SOME TIMES THEY ALL LOCK, OTHER TIMES ONE OR MORE OF THE DOORS WON'T. TOLERATED FOR MANY MONTHS AS DEALER WOULDN'T FIX UNDER WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH ONLY 1000 MILES AND A FEW DAYS PAST 12MO/36K COVERAGE AND DIDN'T WANT TO PAY DEALER ESTIMATED FIX AT UP TO 800 DOLLARS. NOW STARTING TO PICK UP GRANDCHILDREN FOR AFTER SCHOOL CARE AND NEED TO FIX. SEEMS THIS PROBLEM HAS ENOUGH COMPLAINTS TO WARRANT RECALL? *TR
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE,THE AUTOMATIC POWER DOOR LOCKS ARE SUPPOSED TO ENGAGE WHEN THE CAR REACHES APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE, THIS DOES HAPPEN BUT AFTER THE DOOR LOCKS ENGAGE, BOTH REAR DOORS ON MY VEHICLE UNLOCK FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THIS APPEARS TO ME TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE AS I HAVE 3 SMALL GRANDCHILDREN AND I AM AFRAID TO ALLOW THEM TO RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT OF MY VEHICLE FOR FEAR THAT THEY MAY OPEN THE DOORS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING AND EVEN THOUGH THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH "CHILDPROOF DOOR LOCKS", I WILL NOT TOTALLY RELY ON THIS AS THE ONLY METHOD TO SECURING THE DOORS. I HAVE SPOKEN TO HONDA ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS IN THIS MATTER,BUT THEY SEEM TO ATTRIBUTE IT TO A WEAR AND TEAR OR ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND EVEN THOUGH THEY AGREED WITH ME THAT THIS WAS A POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE, THEY DID NOT SEEM TO TAKE MY CONCERNS SERIOUSLY.I HAVE ALSO DISCOVERED THAT THE 2006 HONDA CR-V WAS RECALLED FOR THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AND AS EARLY AS A FEW MONTHS AGO THE 2012 HONDA CR-V ALONG WITH SOME ACURA MODELS ARE BEING RECALLED FOR THESE DEFECTIVE POWER DOOR LOCK MECHANISMS.I REPLACED THE FRONT DOOR MECHANISM IN 2009 ONLY TO HAVE BOTH REAR DOOR MECHANISMS FAIL AT THE SAME TIME A SHORT TIME LATER. I FIND IT HARD TO ATTRIBUTE THE FAILURE OF TWO INDIVIDUAL PARTS TO FAIL AT THE SAME TIME TO A CASE OF WEAR AND TEAR OR AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. I FEEL THAT THESE PARTS ARE FAILING DUE TO AN INFERIOR DESIGN AND I WOULD LIKE FOR THIS MATTER TO BE INVESTIGATED. THANK YOU. *TR
MY HONDA CRV 2007 VEHICLE DID A SUDDEN ACCELERATION OF HALF THE VEHICLE LENGTH WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PARK THE CAR. IF ANYONE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN FRONT OF MY VEHICLE, THEY WOULD BE DEAD. IN LIGHT OF ALL THE TOYOTA PRESS, I DECIDED TO REPORT THIS. I DID HAVE A FLOOR MAT IN PLACE, WAS IT CAUGHT IN THE GAS PEDAL? HAVE THEIR BEEN ANY REPORT OF TROUBLE WITH THE HONDA CRV? THIS OCCURRED ONCE ONLY AND I DID REMOVE FLOOR MATS. THIS OCCURRED ON NOVEMBER 23, 2009. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFORMATION ON THIS AS IT WAS VERY FRIGHTENING AND STILL CONCERNS ME.. *TR
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM HAS MALFUNCTIONED ON AND OFF FOR SOME 10000 MILES. THE WARNING LIGHT COMES ON WHEN TRAVELING AND DOES NOT GO OFF UNTIL TIRES COOL DOWN. THE DEALER HAS TRIED MANY TIMES TO FIND THE PROBLEM BUT UNABLE TO CORRECT THE SITUATION. THEY HAVE FAILED TO REPLACE ANY OF THE SENSORS. NOT SURE IF THIS IS A COMPUTER PROBLEM THAT ALSO CONTROLS OTHER SYSTEMS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. WHILE PARKING THE VEHICLE, SUDDENLY IT ACCELERATED. AS A CONSEQUENCE, SHE CRASHED INTO A POLE. TWO OCCUPANTS RECEIVED BRUISES ON THEIR CHEST. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS IN THE PROCESS OF INVESTIGATING THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 24,000.
MY 2007 HONDA CRV HAS HAD A PROBLEM SINCE I BOUGHT IT NEW IN 2007. THE CAR PULLS TO THE RIGHT. SO BAD THAT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IT CAUSES THE CAR TO CROSS TO THE RIGHT LANE IN LESS THAN 4 SECONDS. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO THE HONDA DEALER 3 TIMES AND THEY CLAIM IT IS AN ALIGNMENT PROBLEM (3 ALIGNMENTS HAVE BEEN DONE ON THE CAR AND PROBLEM STILL EXISTS) OR SIMPLY SAY THEY CANNOT REPLICATE IT OR DON'T SEE A PROBLEM. I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY HOLD THE STEERING WHEEL TOWARDS THE LEFT TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FROM CROSSING TO THE RIGHT LANE. HONDA WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM DESPITE MANY PEOPLE REPORTING THIS ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CRV. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, A LOUD GRINDING NOISE EMITTED FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL BEARING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
I BOUGHT A 2007 HONDA CRV AND WAS ALMOST RUN OVER BY IT TODAY. IT APPEARS THERE MIGHT BE A DEFECT WITH THE CAR. I HAD PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK. I LEFT IT ON SO THAT MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WOULD HAVE AIR CONDITIONING WHILE I WAS UNLOADING THE CAR AND PUTTING THINGS IN THE GARAGE (THIS PROCESS TOOK APPROX. 5 MINUTES). I THEN WENT TO THE BACK SEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND GOT MY DAUGHTER OUT OF HER CAR SEAT. I THEN SHUT THE BACK DOOR AND OPENED THE PASSENGER DOOR TO GET SOMETHING OUT OF THE PASSENGER SEAT AND GRAB THE CAR KEYS WHICH WERE IN THE IGNITION. I TOOK THE KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION AND THE CAR STARTED ROLLING BACK WARDS DRAGGING ME WITH IT...AS I WAS STUCK BEHIND THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. I WAS HOLDING THE KEYS IN MY HAND AND SCRAMBLING TO MAKE SURE THE CAR WAS IN PARK...IT WAS AND THE CAR KEPT ROLLING. IT EVENTUALLY STOPPED AFTER IT JUMPED UP ON THE CURB, BACKED INTO SEVERAL TREES AND HIT A STREET SIGN. MY QUESTION IS HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR IS IN PARK? I WAS HOLDING THE KEYS IN MY HAND AS THE CAR WAS ROLLING BACKWARDS AND I DOUBLED CHECK TO MAKE SURE IT WAS IN PARK AS I WAS GETTING DRAGGED WITH THE CAR. ALTHOUGH MY LEG IS NOW BADLY BRUISED AND MY BUMPER IS MESSED UP; ALL IN ALL I CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE VERY LUCKY. HAD MY DAUGHTER STARTED WALKING BEHIND THE CAR VS. WALKING TOWARDS THE GARAGE SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. I'M NOW TERRIFIED OF MY CAR.. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT HONDA CORPORATE SHOULD BE NOTIFIED OF THIS ISSUE TO ENSURE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN WITH SOMEONE ELSE AND RESULT IN A FAR WORSE OUTCOME. *TR
IN 2007, WE PURCHASED A 2007 HONDA CRV TO TOW, FOUR WHEELS DOWN. WE PURCHASED THE BLUE OX AVENTA LX, BX7445 TOW BAR CLASS IV (10,000 LB FOR A 2 INCH RECEIVER) AND THE BASE PLATE BX2246 MADE FOR THE 2007 HONDA CR-V\, WE FOUND THAT THE FRONT FASCIA OF THE HONDA HAD PULLED AWAY AND UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, DISCOVERED THE BLUE OX BASE PLATE HAD FAILED. I MEAN, TOTALLY FAILED, THE METAL (NOT THE BOLTS) HAD RIPPED, THIS HAPPENED ON BOTH SIDES, WHERE THE BASE PLATE IS ATTACHED (BOLTED) TO THE FRAME. THE BASE PLATE, WAS NOW ONLY BEING HELD (AND ALSO OUR VEHICLE) ONLY BY THE SAFETY CABLES. *TR
HONDA CRV 2007 ISSUE: DOORS WHEN LOCKED BY EITHER REMOTE OR VIA CAR WOULD LOCK ALL DOORS EXCEPT THE DRIVERS. HONDA DID COVER IT THE FIRST TIME THEN A YEAR LATER THE ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN BUT THIS TIME WAS IN THE BACK PASSENGER SIDE. ALSO THE FRONT CENTER DOOR LIGHT (RIGHT SIDE) FAILS TO TURN ON WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOORS, IT WILL HOWEVER TURN ON WHEN YOU PRESS THE BUTTON. EVEN GOT A NEW BULB BUT ISSUE REMAINED. I USE TO THINK HONDA WAS A GREAT CAR DO BASIC MAINTENANCE AND YOU SHOULD BE SET. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. THERE ARE TWO RECALLS ON THIS CAR AND HONDA HAS NOT EVEN NOTIFIED ME OF EVEN ONE OF THOSE AND WHEN I CALLED THE DEALER AND ASKED ABOUT THE POWER STEERING PUMP THEY DIDN'T MENTION THE RECALL BUT STATED IT WOULD COST $600. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS ATTEMPTING TO BACK OUT OF A PARKING SPACE THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED IN REVERSE. INSTANTLY THE CONTACT SWITCH THE GEAR SELECTOR TO DRIVE WHERE THE VEHICLE AGAIN ACCELERATED CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO A NEARBY STORE. ALSO THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE WAS DEPRESSED DURING THE ENTIRE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS IN THE VEHICLE. THERE IS A POLICE REPORT FOR THE ACCIDENT AND NO ONE WAS INJURED. THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS AND THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE 26900.
2007 HONDA CRV REAR DIFFERENTIAL NOISE BEGAN AT ABOUT30,000 MILES. I TOOK VEHICLE IN TO HONDA OF TURNERSVILLE, NJ. THEY TOLD ME THE NOISE WAS DUE TO WEAR OF THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FLUID, THAT IT HAD TO BE CHANGED WHENEVER THE NOISE APPEARED, OR EVERY 20,000 MILES. THEY REPLACED THE FLUID FREE OF CHARGE, AND BURNISHED THE BEARINGS FOR THE FIRST TIME, BUT I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE IN THE FUTURE. I WAS TOLD IT DID NOT REPRESENT A SAFETY HAZARD AND THAT IT DID NOT DO MECHANICAL DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE, NOR WOULD IT IN THE FUTURE. THERE IS NOTHING IN THE SERVICE MANUAL REGARDING THIS SERVICE CHANGE REQUIREMENT. I HAVE NOTICED SIGNIFICANT COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER CRV OWNERS ON WEBSITES AND BLOGS. I HAVE ALSO SEEN REFERENCE TO "INFERIOR SUBGRADE" REAR DIFFERENTIAL FLUID USE BY HONDA ON THE SAME VEHICLES. *TR
SEATBELT CAME UNBUCKLED DURING A COLLISION. INSURANCE IS GOING TO FIX, BUT I WANTED THIS NOTED, AS I SEE A RECALL IN 2002 FOR THIS SAME ISSUE. *TR
THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW IN OUR 2007 HONDA CR-V. IN WINTER PRECIPITATION CONDITIONS, THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPER FREEZES. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAR IT WITHOUT GETTING OUT OF THE CAR AND CLEARING IT MANUALLY. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE WIPER RESTS BELOW THE WINDSHIELD AND THERE IS NO HEATING ELEMENT TO THAW A FROZEN WIPER AT ALL. THIS OCCURS EVERY TIME THERE IS PRECIPITATION BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURE. THIS CAUSES SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED VISIBILITY. *TR
HONDA CRV 2007 EX 2.4 LITER, 4 CYLINDER. THE CAR DOES NOT START OCCASIONALLY. THE BATTERY IS FINE. STARTER IS OKAY. CHECKED ONLINE FORUM TO FIND THE ISSUE AND FIX. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE LOGGED SAME ISSUE ONLINE. DEALERS DON'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG. HONDA OF AMERICA SAY THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM. BUT CLEARLY THERE IS SOME ISSUE IN THE ENGINE IMMOBILIZATION OR OTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUE RELATED TO IGNITION. SOME ONE NEED TO DIG IN TO THE ISSUE AND HAVE IT FIXED BY HONDA REGARDLESS OF MILEAGE. WAS TOLD THAT MY REAR TIRES WERE CUPPED DUE TO NOT HAVING ROTATED THEM. CAR HAD 20,000 MILES ON IT. SINCE TIRES WERE ALREADY RUINED, I WAITED TO TAKE IT IN AGAIN TILL 30,000 MILES. NOW THE FRONT TIRES WERE BALD IN THE CENTER AND REAR TIRES STILL CUPPED. THEY DRAINED THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FLUID AGAIN AND AGAIN BURNISHED THE CLUTCHES AS WELL AS PERFORMED THE 30K SUGGESTED MAINTENANCE. 4K MILES LATER, WHILE DRIVING ON BAD ROADS, THE REAR END ONCE AGAIN FEELS LIKE IT WANTS TO SLIDE OFF THE ROAD TO THE RIGHT. I have a 2007 Honda CRV , I am the original owner. I have had issues with the locking system from the beginning. I brought it to the dealer and was told they couldn't find a problem. I went back for a recall and the dealer told me they didn't have the parts at the time. I should bring it back. My fault here, life got in my way (divorce, pandemic, etc.) I went back to the dealer, they replaced the drivers side door lock (still warenteed) but said the other locks were no longer under warrenty and it would cost approx 300$ for my passenger side lock. Additionally, they fixed the drivers side lock and now the trunk hatch won't open

HE INDICATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT I COULD DO TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW SINCE I HAVE HAD OTHER HONDA VEHICLES THAT DID NOT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IN FACT, NONE OF THE OTHER CARS THAT I HAVE PREVIOUSLY OWNED HAD THIS PROBLEM. WHEN I QUESTIONED ABOUT A RECALL, I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NONE FOR THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM. YESTERDAY, I WAS NEARLY INVOLVED IN A MAJOR CAR PILE-UP DUE TO THE IMPAIRED VISIBILITY DURING AN ICE STORM. I AM GREATLY CONCERNED ABOUT THE HAZARDS THAT THIS PROBLEM PRESENTS.
