LOCKS STARTED LOCKING WITHIN A SECOND OF BEING UNLOCKED. SO I COULD UNLOCK THE DOORS WITH THE KEY BUTTON AND PULL QUICKLY TO OPEN THE DOOR TO GET IN. THE LOCKS WOULD ENGAGE AS SOON AS I GOT IN. HOWEVER, IF I TRIED TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR FROM INSIDE, I WOULD HAVE TO USE TWO HANDS, AND IT WAS DIFFICULT. ONCE THE DOORS CLOSED THE LOCKS WOULD IMMEDIATELY ENGAGE. AS IT TURNS OUT I LOCKED MY PURSE AND KEYS INSIDE. MY SPARE KEY WOULD NOT OPEN IT. THERE WAS NO MANUAL OVERRIDE! THIS IS MY CONCERN. IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT OR A CHILD INSIDE, THERE WAS NO WAY TO OPEN, NOT EVEN WITH A KEY. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER AND IT HAS BEEN FIXED, AN ACTUATOR (?). *TR
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON. BROUGHT TO HONDA AND WAS CHARGED A DIAGNOSE FEE AND WAS INFORMED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY MOST OF THE COST OF REPLACEMENT. DID NOT REPAIR AT THE TIME AND THE LIGHT WENT OFF A FEW DAYS LATER. NOW RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR AIR BAGS IN MARCH 2016.
MY REAR PASSENGER DOOR KEEP UNLOCK BY ITSELF WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR NOT. I HOPE MY SON MIGHT NOT JUMP OFF THE VEHICLE WHILE I AM DRIVING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
VEHICLE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND REPAIRED. AIR BAG NEVER DEPLOYED AND NOW 3 YEARS LATER THE SRS SYSTEM HAS THREE FAULTS THE BERNADI HONDA SAID WERE RELATED TO THE ACCIDENT. INSURANCE COMPANY REFUSED TO REPAIR SYSTEM SAYING IT WAS MAINTENENCE. 33-10 OPEN IN THE LEFT SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG FIRST INFLATOR. E1-11 LEFT FRONT AIRBAG AND LEFT SEAT BELT TENSIONER STOPPED DEPLOYMENT. F1-11 DRIVER'S AIRBAG AND OR DRIVER'S SEAT BELT TENIONER DEPLOYED. *JS
THE RIGHT REAR PASSENGER DOOR LOCK WILL NOT ALWAYS STAY LOCKED. THE LOCK WILL ATTEMPT TO LOCK WHEN THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES ABOVE 10MPH. AFTER COMING TO A STOP OR SLOWING DOWN TO BELOW 10MPH, ALL LOCKS IN THE CAR WILL ATTEMPT TO LOCK AGAIN WHEN THE VEHICLE SPEED GETS ABOVE 10MPH. THE DOOR WILL NOT ALWAYS STAY LOCKED AFTER THE ENGINE HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND THE LOCKS ACTIVATED. THIS HAPPENS ABOUT EVERY OTHER TIME THE VEHICLE IS STARTED AND TURNED OFF. *TR
THE 2008 CRV PULLS TO THE RIGHT WHEN OVER 40 MPH. THERE WERE 2 WHEEL ALIGNMENTS DONE RECENTLY, AND THE DEALER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. WHEN YOU DRIVE THE CAR AND LET GO OF THE STEERING WHEEL IT PULLS TO THE RIGHT. IT TAKES CONSTANT PRESSURE ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO KEEP THE CAR DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE. IN MY OPINION THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE DEALER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. I DISAGREE AND WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER HONDA CRV. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
ANOTHER DOOR LOCK FAILURE. KEY WOULD NOT UNLOCK DOOR. PASSENGER DOOR LOCK STICKING AND LOCKING BY ITSELF. GOT LOCKED OUT OF THE CAR WHEN THE BATTERY DIED AND THE KEY REMOTE WOULD NOT WORK WITH NO POWER. I HAD 3 SETS OF KEYS IN MY HAND BUT COULD NOT GET IN MY CAR. HAD TO REPLACE THE KEY CYLINDER, CABLE, AND BOTH FRONT LATCH ASSEMBLIES AT A COST OF OVER $700. HOW MANY COMPLAINTS UNTIL HONDA ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECTIVE LOCK ASSEMBLIES? IF HONDA IS READING THIS, I WILL NOT DO FUTURE BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT WHEN THERE IS AN OBVIOUS DEFECT. *TR
FIRST PROBLEM - MARCH 2014 - LEFT REAR DOOR START TO LOCK AND UNLOCK BY ITSELF AS DRIVING. REPLACED ACTUATOR. SECOND PROBLEM - AUGUST 2014 - PASSENGER DOOR START DOING THE SAME THING LOCK AND UNLOCK BY ITSELF. I MANUALLY TRY TO LOCK, UNLOCKS BY ITSELF. THE REAR DOOR DOES THE SAME THING ALONG WITH THE FRONT DOOR. THIRD PROBLEM - SEPTEMBER 2014 - REAR HATCH WILL NOT UNLOCK USING THE REMOTE. HAD TO GET KEY IN THE DOOR LOCK AND TURN COUPLE OF TIMES UNTIL FINALLY OPENED. THIS ISSUES ARE A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN FOR MY FAMILY. NHTSA PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL - DON'T WAIT UNTIL A MAJOR INJURY OR POSSIBLY A DEATH OCCURS. *TR
THIS HAS BEEN A REPEATED PROBLEM WITH UNWANTED ACCELERATION. I HAVE FILED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS WITH YOUR AGENCY TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA AND THEY INSIST THERE IS NO PROBLEM. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR LOCKS FOR THE REAR HATCH, FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR AND THE REAR PASSENGERS SIDE DOOR ERRONEOUSLY ENGAGED AND DISENGAGED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURE WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
EVERY TIME WE TRY DRIVE ABOVE 9 MPH, THE DOOR TRIES TO LOCK, EVEN IF ITS ALREADY LOCK. IN A PARKING LOT IT KEEPS TRYING TO LOCK IF WE GO BELOW AND ABOVE 9MPH. WE HAVE DISABLED THE AUTO LOCK AND AUTO UNLOCK FEATURES NOW THE DOOR BEHIND THE DRIVER WON'T STAY LOCKED. EVER. IF YOU USE THE REMOTE, MASTER KEY, OR PHYSICALLY TRY TO LOCK THAT DOOR, IT UNLOCKS ITSELF WITHIN A SECOND. VERY UNSAFE. THIS CAR IS PARKED OUTSIDE AND IS USED TO TRANSPORT TWO TODDLERS. THE DOOR ALSO WON'T OPEN NOW SO WE CAN'T ENGAGE CHILD LOCK. THE DOOR DOESN'T OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE. THERE ARE HUNDREDS AND THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT HONDA ACTUATORS. DEALERS CHARGE 400-700 FOR ONE. OUR OTHER CAR, A HONDA PILOT HAD TO HAVE ALL 4 REPLACED LAST YEAR, AND 1 ALREADY STOPPED WORKING. CHECK OUT YOUTUBE AND OTHER FORUMS. THANK YOU! *TR
THIS IS MY THIRD COMPLAINT TO YOUR AGENCY. MY PREVIOUS COMPLAINT NUMBERS: 10561753, 10560625, AND 10548352. MY CR-V HAS AN UNWANTED ACCELERATION PROBLEM. AS I AM APPLYING THE BRAKES TO STOP, THE ENGINE SPEED INCREASES AND REQUIRES VERY HARD BRAKING AND SHIFTING THE TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL. THIS HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE HONDA DEALER AND IT WAS EXAMINED BY A FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE WHO REPORTED THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. THIS OPINION IS BASED ON THE PROBLEM NOT OCCURRING DURING THE DAY THEY HAD THE CAR. THIS PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR EVERY DAY OR EVEN EVERY WEEK. I TOLD THEM THAT THE POWER CONTROL MODULE MAY BE THE PROBLEM BUT THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE IT. MY CONTACTS TO INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOPS HAVE RESULTED IN BEING TOLD THIS IS A PROBLEM TO BE ADDRESSED BY HONDA AND NOT AN INDEPENDENT SHOP. I FEEL THAT AN ACCIDENT WILL EVENTUALLY OCCUR AND I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO TURN FOR HELP. PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION. *TR

MY 2008 HONDA CR-V, PURCHASED NEW BY ME, HAS AN UNWANTED ACCELERATION PROBLEM WHEN BRAKING. I FILED A PREVIOUS COMPLAINT WITH YOUR OFFICE AND NEVER RECEIVED A REPLY. I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA REGARDING THIS PROBLEM AND THEY STATED I WILL BE CONTACTED BY THEIR REPRESENTATIVE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM AND OTHER OWNERS HAVE LISTED IDENTICAL PROBLEMS ON THE INTERNET. THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED AT LEAST 6 TIMES. THIS IS MY THIRD COMPLAINT FILED WITH NHTSA REGARDING 6 INSTANCES OF UNWANTED ACCELERATION WHEN BRAKING. SINCE MY LAST COMPLAINT I CONTACTED MY DEALER, BOARDWALK HONDA OF 6807 TILTON ROAD, EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY 609.428.4422. THE DEALER MADE A CONTACT WITH HONDA CORPORATE AND AN APPOINTMENT WITH A HONDA REPRESENTATIVE TO INSPECT MY VEHICLE WAS SET. ON JAN. 27, 2014 THEY HAD MY VEHICLE FOR A FULL DAY. BECAUSE THE UNWANTED ACCELERATION DID NOT OCCUR ON THAT DATE, I WAS GIVEN A REPORT THAT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE CR-V. I HAD EXPLAINED THAT IT ONLY OCCURRED 6 TIMES OVER A 6 MONTH PERIOD AND IT WAS NOT REASONABLE TO EXPECT IT TO OCCUR ON A SPECIFIC DATE DURING THE INSPECTION. I HEARD THAT IT COULD BE THE POWER CONTROL MODULE (PCM), BUT APPARENTLY HONDA DOES NOT WANT TO REPLACE IT AS A SAFETY ISSUE. I NEED HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT. *TR

THE DIGITAL DASHBOARD HAS GONE HAYWIRE I CANNOT READ HOW MUCH FUEL I HAVE HOW MANY MILES I CAN GO HOW MANY MILES ARE ON THE CAR WHEN MY OIL NEEDS TO BE CHANGED OR THE TEMPERATURE OF THE ENGINE. THIS HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING AND AT FIRST IT WAS PERIODIC IT WOULD ACT UP THEN IT WOULD RETURN TO THE FULL SCREEN FOR WEEKS MONTHS THEN IT WOULD ACT UP AGAIN AND THE SAME THING KEPT HAPPENING TIME AFTER TIME FINALLY IT HAS GONE COMPLETELY HAYWIRE AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW MY VEHICLE IS RUNNING BECAUSE I CAN'T READ ANY OF THE GAUGES OTHER THAN THE SPEEDOMETER AND THE TACHOMETER THERE WERE NIGHTS WHEN I CAME HOME AND I PARK THE CAR AND THE DASHBOARD WAS COMPLETELY OUT I CAME OUT THE NEXT MORNING STARTED IT UP THE DASHBOARD CAME UP FULL LIKE NOTHING WAS WRONG AS SOON AS I STARTED DRIVING IT WENT HAYWIRE AGAIN. I HAVE CALLED AND BEEN IN TOUCH WITH AMERICAN HONDA THEY SAID THAT IT IS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX THIS ISSUE I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT IS IT A SAFETY ISSUE IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE GOING BAD IN A VEHICLE IN RETURN THEY TOLD ME THAT IT IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND I NEED TO REPLACE IT MYSELF THE COST WOULD BE $752 INCLUDING LABOR AND I THINK THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BECAUSE I CANNOT OR MY WIFE CANNOT OPERATE THIS VEHICLE SAFELY AND I BELIEVE IT'S HONDA'S RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE A RECALL TO GET THIS ISSUE FIXED

FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK. PROBLEM IS RELATED TO THE DOOR ACTUATOR. CAR FOB OR INTERNAL DOOR CONTROLS WILL NOT UNLOCK FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. CONCERN IS THAT A PASSENGER IN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUICKLY EXIT THE CAR IF REQUIRED IN AN EMERGENCY WITHOUT CLIMBING ACROSS TO ANOTHER DOOR. ISSUE OCCURS AT ALL SPEEDS OR WHEN CAR IS IN THE PARK POSITION. *TR

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000. UPDATED 03/12/14*LJ THE VEHICLE WAS FIXED. THE DEALER PAID FOR THE PART, AND THE CONSUMER PAID FOR THE LABOR. UPDATED 03/20/14
AT TIMES PASSENGER FRONT DOOR LOCKS CAN NOT BE UNLOCKED. AT OTHER TIMES LOCK WILL RANDOMLY LOCK AND UNLOCK DURING WHICH DOOR CAN NOT BE UNLOCKED. THIS CREATES UNSAFE CONDITIONS WHERE DOOR CAN NOT BE LOCKED AT TIMES OR UNLOCKED AT TIMES. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A DEFECT WITH THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR. *TR

PASSENGER FRONT AND REAR DOORS WILL NOT STAY LOCKED. POSES SAFETY RISK WITH HAVING A CHILD IN THE BACKSEAT. TOOK TO HONDA AND DOOR ACTUATORS HAD TO BE REPLACED IN BOTH LOCKS. FORTUNATELY I HAD EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT STILL COST ME $100 COPAY. NOW SEEING THIS IS A HUGE TREND WITH THIS VEHICLE. *TR
I WAS READY TO LEAVE WORK WHEN I PRESSED THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON MY KEY REMOTE I NOTICED THE CAR DIDN'T UNLOCK. I TRIED SEVERAL MORE TIMES AND STILL NOTHING. I DECIDED TO TRY AND UNLOCK THE CAR MANUALLY WITH THE KEY AND REALIZED THAT WASN'T WORKING EITHER ALL COULD DO AT THAT POINT WAS CALL A LOCKSMITH WHO AFTER SEVERAL TRIES WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE DRIVER DOOR WHICH IN TURN ALLOWED THE REST OF THE DOORS TO UNLOCK. I CALLED THE LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF THE CAR NOT BEING ABLE TO OPEN MANUALLY AND OFFERED NO OTHER SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE I NOTICED THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM FOR HONDA CRV'S 2007 AND NEWER. THERE IS AN ISSUE OF THE DOOR ACTUATORS. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY BE A LIFE THREATENING DEFECT AS THE DOORS OPEN OR LOCK ON THEIR OWN. *TR
WHEN UNLOCKING DOORS FROM INSIDE OR WITH FOB, PASSENGER DOOR RE-LOCKS WITHIN SECONDS. DRIVERS DOOR LOCK MAKES LOUD NOISE WHENEVER LOCKING OR UNLOCKING. SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH A LOT OF SIMILAR CARS. VERY ANNOYING. COULD BE DANGEROUS IF TRYING TO ENTER OR EXIT CAR IN A EMERGENCY SITUATION. *TR
PRE-MATURE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILURE. ACTUATOR FAILS CAUSING THE DOOR LOCKS TO NOT UNLOCK ELECTRONICALLY AS A RESULT OF FAILED ELECTRONIC DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS. *TR
I CAN NO LONGER LOCK THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. IT AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCKS ON ITS OWN. *TR
PASSENGER FRONT DOOR DOES NOT STAY LOCK EVEN AT HIGH SPEEDS. *TR
I WAS LEAVING THE GROCERY STORE AND USED MY KEY FOB TO UNLOCK THE CAR DOORS. I TRIED TO LIFT THE REAR DOOR (HATCH-BACK) TO LOAD GROCERIES. THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. I TESTED ALL MY DOORS AND FOUND THAT MY FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT UNLOCK EITHER USING THE KEY FOB. I TRIED BOTH DOORS MULTIPLE TIMES WITHOUT ANY LUCK. ONCE INSIDE THE CAR (THROUGH THE DRIVER'S DOOR) I TRIED TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. I COULDN'T GET IT UNLOCKED. THE LOCK WAS STUCK FAST. I COULD NOT ENTER OR EXIT OUT THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. (I DID NOT CLIMB OVER THE SEATS TO TRY AND EXIT OUT THE BACK HATCH DOOR.) THIS PRESENTS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. I TRIED DAILY OVER THE NEXT WEEK TO ENTER OR EXIT OUT THOSE 2 DOORS. I COULDN'T BUDGE EITHER ONE. I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP. THE TECHNICIAN WAS ABLE TO GET THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR AND THE REAR DOOR TO OPEN. I WAS TOLD THE ACTUATOR ON THE FRONT DOOR WAS GOING OUT. THE REAR DOOR WAS A DIFFERENT PROBLEM. IT WILL COST ME $450 TO FIX THE TWO PARTS. *TR
THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED TWICE. THE FIRST TIME THE ENGINE SPEED INCREASED WITH THE BRAKES BEING APPLIED. I CHECKED FOR AN OBSTRUCTION OF A FLOOR MAT AND THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION. THE MOST RECENT TIME WAS YESTERDAY (OCT. 17, 2013) AND AGAIN THE CAR ACCELERATED WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. THIS COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I WILL VISIT HONDA AND ADVISE THE SERVICE MANAGER. *TR
FOR A WHILE, THE DOOR LOCK SYSTEM LOCKS AND UNLOCK CONTINUOUSLY WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT WAS TOLD NOTHING IS WRONG. THIS MORNING, THE CAR CANNOT BE UNLOCKED WITH THE KEY OR THE REMOTE. WHEN I PUSH THE LOCK OR UNLOCK BUTTON, A GRINDING NOISE CAN BE HEARD COMING FROM THE DRIVER DOOR. *TR
IT STARTED WITH THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK. IT MAKES A WEIRD NOISE AND WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK CORRECTLY. SOMETIMES LOCKS AND UNLOCKS ON IT'S OWN. NOW AT LEAST 3 OF THE 4 DOORS ARE DOING THE SAME THING. *TR
THE DOOR LOCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOSE THE OPPOSITE OF YOUR ACTION. IF YOU LOCK YOUR CAR IT UNLOCKS AND VISA VERSA SO THE ONE DOOR DOESN'T LOCK. *TR
THE PASSENGER DOOR LOCKS AS SOON AS IT IS UNLOCKED. IT WILL NOT STAY UNLOCKED AT ALL. *TR

THE FIRST INCIDENT INVOLVED THE BACK GATE WHICH WOULD NOT UNLOCK WITH THE KEY FOB. I TRIED LOCKING/UNLOCKING FROM THE DRIVER'S INTERIOR DOOR CONTROLS AND ALSO WITH THE KEY FOB. ATTEMPTS WERE MADE WITH THE CAR RUNNING, IGNITION TURNED TO ACCESSORY, AND ALSO WITH THE CAR TURNED OFF. NOTHING CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. THIS PERSISTED INTO THE NEXT DAY WHEN IT STARTED WORKING WITHOUT ANY PARTICULAR INTERVENTION BEYOND MY PREVIOUS ATTEMPTS. THE PROBLEM REAPPEARED A FEW DAYS LATER, ONLY NOW IT IS THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. I LOCK THE CAR WITH THE KEY FOB, BUT THE PASSENGER DOOR REMAINS UNLOCKED. THE SAME IS TRUE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO LOCK USING THE SWITCH ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR. LIKE OTHERS WHO HAVE POSTED ON THIS SITE, THIS CAR ALSO ATTEMPTS TO LOCK/UNLOCK AT UNEXPECTED TIMES WELL ABOVE THE USUAL SPEED WHERE THE AUTOMATIC LOCK NORMALLY OPERATES. THIS IS A SAFETY AND SECURITY RISK. MY YOUNG PASSENGERS ARE AT RISK IF THE LOCKS DISENGAGE. MY PROPERTY IS NOT SECURE IF THE LOCKS ARE NOT RELIABLE. MY PERSONAL SAFETY IS AT RISK IF MY ALARM SYSTEM FAILS TO SECURE ALL DOORS. IT IS UNSETTLING TO CONSIDER THE CONSEQUENCE OF BEING UNEXPECTEDLY TRAPPED INSIDE THE CAR. IT IS EQUALLY TROUBLESOME TO DRIVE THE CAR NOT KNOWING IF MY CHILDREN AND I MAY BECOME LOCKED OUT IN THE DARK, IN A PARKING DECK, OR IN A REMOTE LOCATION DURING TRAVEL. REPAIRING EACH LOCK AS IT FAILS IS A RISKY GAMBLE, BUT I CANNOT AFFORD TO REPLACE ACTUATORS (APPROX $250 X 5 DOORS) ON EVERY DOOR AS A PREEMPTIVE REPAIR, EITHER. *TR

MY CAR'S REAR DOOR LOCK IS MALFUNCTIONING. WHEN I DRIVE, THE DOOR LOCKS AND UNLOCKS BY ITSELF REPETITIVELY. WHEN I GET OUT OF THE CAR AND TRY TO LOCK IT, THAT DOOR UNLOCKS BY ITSELF. EVEN IF I AM DRIVING, THE PASSENGER CAN OPEN THE DOOR BUT THE CAR LIGHT WONT LIGHT UP AND MY DASHBOARD WONT TELL ME THAT THE DOOR IS OPEN. I FOUND ONLINE THAT THIS IS A MASS PROBLEM WITH COUNTLESS OTHER CARS MADE AROUND THE SAME YEAR. I ATTEMPTED TO CALL THE DEALER BUT THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME. *JS
PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK WILL NOT STAY UNLOCKED. EITHER MANUALLY UNLOCKED OR AUTOMATIC SUCH AS WHEN THE TRANSMISSION IS PUT IN PARK POSITION. THIS CAUSES A POTENTIAL SAFETY PROBLEM FOR ANY PASSENGER SITTING IN THE PASSENGER LOCATION. THEY CANNOT CONVENIENTLY EXIT THE VEHICLE AT ANY TIME. *TR
DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT DOOR ELECTRIC LOCK ALWAYS MAKES A VERY LOUD GRINDING SOUND WHEN UNLOCKING, WHETHER WITH THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE DOOR, OR WITH UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE KEY. DOES NOT ALWAYS UNLOCK ON FIRST ATTEMPT. *TR

I PARKED THE CAR IN MY GARAGE, 6 DAYS LATER, I COULD NOT OPEN THE DOORS USING REMOTE CONTROL KEY, THEN I OPENED THE DRIVE SIDE DOOR MECHANICALLY, AND PRESSED THE DOOR-CONTROL BUTTON, NO RESPONSE, AND PRESSED THE HORN, NO RESPONSE. PUT THE KEY TO TRY TO START THE CAR, NO RESPONSE (EVEN NO NOISE). I CHECKED AND FOUND IG MAIN FUSE WAS BLOWN OUT (NOT 100% SURE, IT IS DIFFICULT TO TAKE OUT THE FUSE DUE TO OVER TIGHTENED SCREW) USING A CHARGER TO CHARGE BATTERY, AND FOUND POWDER WINDOW HAS RESPONSE, BUT DOORS DID NOT RESPONSE, PUT THE KEY TO START, SOME LIGHTS CAME ON IN THE PANEL, BUT NOT SOUND AT ALL. HOW THE IG FUSE WAS BLOWN OUT DURING THE PARKING, IT MUST BE HAPPEN WHEN I PULLED OUT MY KEY 6 DAYS AGO WHEN I PARKED MY CAR. CHECK WITH ALL FRIENDS AND GOOGLE SEARCH, NO CLUE WHAT HAPPEN! I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE LOCKS ON MY 2008 HONDA CRV. IT STARTED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR. IT INITIALLY WOULD NOT STAY LOCKED. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THEY ADVISED NO RECALLS. AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN. THEN ABOUT ANOTHER 6 MONTHS IT QUIT AGAIN. (WEATHER RELATED?). NOW THAT LOCK STAYS LOCKED ALL THE TIME. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO UNLOCK IT...NOT EVEN MANUALLY. ABOUT A YEAR LATER THE REAR PASSENGER LOCK WASN'T LOCKING CORRECTLY. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AGAIN AND THEY COULDN'T HELP ME. NOW THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE LOCK DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. IT SOUNDS LIKE A MACHINE GUN GOING OFF EVERYTIME THE CAR HITS THE 10 MPH. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND ADVISED NO RECALLS. I WAS QUOTED $800.00 TO HAVE THEM REPAIRED. (LOCK ACTUATORS?) I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING ONLY TO MY CAR. BY THE LOCKS NOT WORKING IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR MYSELF AND KIDS. I HAVE TEENAGE DAUGHTERS AND A GRANDDAUGHTER. IT THEY ENCOUNTER ANY DANGER AND ARE NOT ABLE TO LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOORS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. NOW MY GRANDDAUGHTER WONT RIDE IN THE CAR BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE A MACHINE GUN. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THE DRIVER SIDE LOCK. I CAN'T REALLY SUBMIT ANY PICTURES BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT SHOW THE ISSUES. I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND KNOW THE HISTORY. THIS IS MY 2ND HONDA CRV AND I LOVED THEM UNTIL NOW. I CANT BELIEVE I AM THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS ISSUE.
CANNOT UNLOCK THE DOORS. WHEN I USE THE KEY FOB OR THE UNLOCK SWITCH ON THE DOOR, DOORS UNLOCK AND INSTANTLY RE-LOCK THEMSELVES. IN ORDER TO ENTER OR EXIT THE VEHICLE I NEED TO USE TWO HANDS AND SIMULTANEOUSLY UNLOCK THE DOOR AND PULL THE DOOR HANDLE. I NEED TWO PEOPLE TO OPEN THE TAIL GATE. *JS
