THE LOCK ON THE REAR-PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR WON'T STAY LOCKED; IT WILL CONSTANTLY UNLOCK ITSELF AFTER TRYING TO LOCK IT.
I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO A LICENSED GARAGE TO BE INSPECTED.THEY TOLD ME THE REAR FRAME STIFFENERS IN MY VEHICLE ARE CORRODED AND WILL NOT PASS NEW YORK STATE INSPECTION. I WAS ALSO WARNED IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE MY CAR AS THE REAR TIRE ATTACHES TO THE RUSTED OUT SPOT ON THE FRAME. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR THE REAR TIRE ASSEMBLY TO DETACH WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL. THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL IN CANADA FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM FOR THE YEARS 2007 TO 2011. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO RECALL IN THE US.
THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR WON'T STAY LOCKED. NO MATTER IF YOU TRY TO LOCK IT WITH THE KEY FOB OR MANUALLY LOCK IT, IT WILL JUST UNLOCK BY ITSELF. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 2020 AND IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE.
IM DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ALL OF THE SUDDEN MY DOOR LOCKS ALL MAKE A TERRABLE STARTLING NOISE THAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE THE RECALL ON THEM AND I HAVE HAD THE DRIVERS SIDE REPLACE AT MERCED HONDA. BUT NOW IT DOES IT IN ROUTE AND NO ONE CAN GET OUT OF THE BACK PASSENGER SEAT . IT IS JUST LOCKED.
VEHICLE DOOR LOCKS UNLOCK, LOCK, MAKE LOUD NOISE, WHILE DRIVING OR PARKED AND LOCK SWITCH ACTIVATED. PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MORE THAN A YEAR BUT HAS GOTTEN STEADILY WORSE IN RECENT WEEKS. *TR
II PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN AUGUST 2019 WHEN IT HAD ABOUT 142,000 MILES ON ODOMETER. RECENTLY WITH ABOUT 146,000 MILES ON ODOMETER THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR STARTED UNLOCKING IMMEDIATELY AFTER LOCKING IT. THERE IS NO WAY TO LOCK THE DOOR, AS IT ALWAYS UNLOCKS ITSELF. IT UNLOCKS WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR STATIONARY, WITH OR WITHOUT THE IGNITION ON OR OFF OR THE KEY IS IN THE IGNITION OR NOT.. OTHER DOORS STAY LOCKED, INCLUDING THE REAR LIFTGATE.
FAULTY VTC ACTUATOR, GRINDING NOISE ON STARTING THE CAR EVERYDAY IN THE MORNINGS
2008 CR-V SUBFRAME/REAR CONTROL ARM RUSTED SO SEVERELY CAME APART WHILE DRIVING. VERY FORTUNATE THERE WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT, THIS CAUSED SUDDEN LOSS OF CONTROL OF VEHICLE. HAD TO BE TOWED AND IS NOW INOPERABLE AND UNABLE TO BE REPAIRED. THERE IS A RECALL IN CANADA TO ADDRESS THIS CONDITION, WHY NOT THE UNITED STATES? WE CONTACTED HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE TO INQUIRE AND NO RESPONSE FROM THEM. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION THAT GAVE NO WARNING. THE BODY IS NOT RUSTED.
HELLO, THE FRONT RIGHT DOOR OF MY CAR DOESN'T UNLOCK AT ALL AND THE BACK LEFT DOOR DOESN'T LOCK. HONDA ALREADY HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THE ISSUE BUT THIS EXPIRED ON 2015. BECAUSE THE FRONT DOOR DOESN'T UNLOCK IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE AND THE COST TO FIX IS VERY EXPENSIVE AS THE DOOR NEEDS TO BE DEASSEMBLED. THERE COST TO OPEN THE DOOR AND FIX IT IS ALMOST 500 DOLLARS. I HAVE CALLED HONDA BUT THEY ARE SAYING THE PRODUCT WARRANTY EXPIRED ON 2015.
THERE IS A VIOLENT SHAKING FEELING COMING FROM THE ENGINE AREA ALONG WITH A LOUD CONSTANT RATTLING SOUND COMING FROM THE SAME AREA. THIS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING AND WHEN STATIONARY. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS A TENSIONER (?) ARM AND CHARGED ME $580. THE SOUND PERSISTS AND IS WORSE WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER IS RUNNING. ALSO THE BACK SEAT PASSENGER SIDE LOCK MAKES A LOUD BUZZING NOISE WHEN LOCKED OR UNLOCKED.
THE SUNROOF HAS BECOME UNATTACHED AND ALSO I WASH AND WAX MY CAR I SEE OXIDATION IN THE PAINT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER WHEEL DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO VEER THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND CALLED THE POLICE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE POLICE TOWED THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CALLED HIS INSURANCE COMPANY AND WAS INFORMED THAT AN INVESTIGATION WOULD NEED TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT WITH A CASE NUMBER. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 190,000.
CAR WAS PARKED AND BURST INTO FLAMES FROM ENGINE COMPARTMENT. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS NO ISSUES WITH CAR. SOME BUILDING DAMAGE FROM FIRE. CAR TOTALED, ENGINE BLOCK MELTED FROM FIRE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRAILING ARM ON THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE COIL SPRINGS WERE LOOSE AND WERE NO LONGER STURDY; THEREFORE, THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO MOVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT THE CONTACT HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 182,000.
AIR CONDITION IS NOT WORKINGE WHILE VEHUCLE IS RUNNING , IT BLOWES HOT AIR ONLY. FRAYON GAS IS FULL, BUT STILL NO COLD AIR. I HEARED THERE WAS A RECALL FOR AIR CONDITION SYSTEM, IS THAT TRUE.
CAR CUT OFF NO STEERING EVERYTHING LOCKED DOWN HAD SERPENTINE BELT FIXED BUT THE TPM LIGHT IS ON APP NEED RACK AND PINION AS WELL. NEED STRUTS AND SHOCKS AND CAR RATTLES TERRIBLY. IT'S ABOUT 4 THOUSAND DOLLARS I AM DISABLED THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD I DON'T KNOW WHAT I CAN DO. IS HONDA NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DEFECT
WE HAD OUR 2008 HONDA CRV INTO THE LOCAL DEALER FOR AN ALIGNMENT. DURING THE ALIGNMENT, THEY HAD POINTED OUT CORROSION ISSUES WITH THE REAR FRAME ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE THE REAR TRAILING ARM MOUNTS TO THE FRAME. THEY SAID THAT EVENTUALLY, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE SAFE. I HAD A BODY SHOP LOOK AT THE FRAME AND THEY SAID THAT THE DRIVERS SIDE IS SOLID BUT APPEARS TO BE WEAK. ON OUR WAY HOME FROM THE STORE, WE HIT A RABBIT ON THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE DROVE FINE AT THE TIME. WE GOT ABOUT 5 MILES DOWN THE ROAD AND WENT OVER A SET OF TRAIN TRACKS, NOTHING SPECIAL AND THE TRAILING ARM PULLED COMPLETELY OUT OF THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE FRAME. THE WHOLE FRAME SECTION IN THAT AREA IS CORRODED AND RUSTED. HAD WE BEEN GOING FASTER THEN 35, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY LIKELY WE WOULD HAVE LOST CONTROL AND CRASHED. THERE SHOULD BE SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS IN THE US. CANADA ALREADY HAS A RECALL FOR THE SAME THING ON THE 2007 - 2011 HONDA CRV. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN IF YOU ARE LIVING IN AN AREA THAT USES SALT DURING THE WINTER TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS WASHED SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE LAST SEVERAL WINTERS AND IT DIDN'T PREVENT ANY OF THE CORROSION. OUT OF THE VEHICLES WE HAVE OWN OVER THE YEARS, THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ONE THAT CORRODED THE WAY THE CRV HAS.
WHILE DRIVING MY PASSENGER REAR WHEEL COLLAPSED. GOT IT TOWED TO RIVERSIDE HONDA IN MARQUETTE MI. WAS TOLD THE WHEEL RUSTED THROUGH THE FRAME. WE WERE LUCKY WE WEREN'T KILLED. AFTER RESEARCHING I FOUND CANADA HAS RECALLED 83,000 OF THE SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL. THEY WERE OFFERING TO BUY BACK OR FIX VEHICLES IF POSSIBLE. I WAS TOLD IT CAN'T BE FIXED. HONDA USA CORPORATION SAYS WE DO NOT HAVE ANY SUCH ISSUE. I DONT BELIEVE IT. WHAT ACTION DO I TAKE AS THEY SAID ITS MY PROBLEM ?
MY FRONT PASSENGER REAR LEFT PASSENGER DOORS ALONG WITH MY TRUNK ARE LOCK AND NOT OPENING; MY VEHICLE GIVES THE CLICKS BUT ONLY TWO DOORS OPEN; I CAN'T EVEN OPEN THEM FROM THE INSIDE IT'S TOO HARD AND NOT MOVING
REAR WINDOW MOTORS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND MAKING NOISES RANDOMLY
THE POWER STEERING FLUID KEEPS GOING LOW. CAN'T SEE WHERE IF IT'S LEAKING. FRIENDS HAVE 2007 AND DOING SAME THING .
WHEN CAR DOORS LOCK IT MAKES A LOUD NOISE AND DRIVER DOOR DOES NOT LOCK. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A DEFECT IN LOCKS/SENSORS. IT IS VERY UNSAFE TO HAVE A CAR THAT DOES NOT LOCK.
THE DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR AND TRUNK CANNOT BE UNLOCKED. THERE IS NO RESPONSE WHEN I TRY TO UNLOCK THE DOORS WITH THE REMOTE. THE DOOR ALSO DOES NOT OPEN WHEN I TRY TO UNLOCK THE DOOR MANUALLY. THIS IS DEFINITELY A LIFE THREATENING SAFETY ISSUE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY ESCAPE BECOMING NECESSARY.
MY BATTERY WENT DEAD AND THE PANEL FOR THE RADIO, GPS AND SIRIUS IS OFF NOW. THE PANEL IS ASKING FOR A CODE NUMBER AND I DON'T KNOW IT. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME OUT? THANK YOU VERY MUCH. IT WAS PARKED AT MY HOME.
MY CRV HAS ACCELERATION PROBLEMS WHEN IT IDLES IN TRAFFIC FOR LONG PERIODS IT LOOSES THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. IT STARTS TO SPUTTER AND THEN DIES. HONDA MECHANICS SAY THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT AND THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON TO GIVE ME AN IDEA OF WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE VEHICLE THIS HAPPENS NO MATTER IF I'M DRIVING ON A CITY ROAD OR PRIVATE ROAD MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS IS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC THAT CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO HAVE TO SIT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME AND IDLE WHEN THE ACCELERATION PROBLEM HAPPENS I CAN ONLY GO 5 MPH ALSO VEHICLE STALLS WHILE TRYING TO CROSS INTERSECTIONS AFTER WAITING ON A TRAFFIC LIGHTS TO CHANGE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE.
AFTER T 84,000 MILES OF NORMAL DRIVING, THE POWER STEERING RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO LEAKS THAT CAUSED POWER STEERING FLUID TO SEEP INTO THE RACK'S BOOTS AND DETERIORATED THEM. THE COST OF THIS REPAIR WAS $1400.00. THIS IS A A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THE COST OF THIS REPAIR WAS $1400.00.
I GOT A LETTER TELLING ME TO CONTACT HONDA
VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. HAD IT TOWED FOR SERVICE. THE MAIN COMPUTER TURNED OUT TO BE DEFECTIVE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. VERY EXPENSIVE. MILEAGE WAS ABOUT 91,000 MILES WHEN THIS OCCURRED. NO COMPUTER WAS IN STOCK SO REPLACED WITH A USED COMPUTER THAT WAS REPROGRAMMED FOR MY VEHICLE.
"TAKATA RECALL" WHEN I CRANK THE CAR WITH NO PASSENGER THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON FOR A SECOND AND THEN GOES OFF SAYING THERE IS SOMEONE IN THE SEAT WHEN THERE IS NO ONE THERE. I CHECKED MY VIN FOR RECALLS AND IT SAYS THERE IS NONE BUT I PUT A BLUE DRIVER TESTER ON IT AND IT SAYS THE RECALL IS STILL THERE.
FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK KEEPS LOCKING ITSELF. WHEN DRIVIG OFF SAID DOOR LOCK SOUNDS LIKE THE WIRING IS SHORTING OUT.
DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR WAS REPLACED AS PART OF CLASS ACTION SUIT SETTLEMENT IN 2015. 30K MILES/3 YEARS LATER IT'S FAILING AGAIN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION WERE INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.
LOCKS LOCK AND UNLOCK ON THEIR OWN AT RANDOM INTERVALS REGARDLESS OF VEHICLE MOVING OR STATIONARY. LOCKS MAKE HORRIBLE LOUD GRINDING AND CLICKING SOUNDS.
THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS WERE UNDER A PREVIOUS RECALL FOR A DEFECT ON THE PART WHICH EXPIRED IN 2015 - SB 14-083 AND 14-084. THE PROBLEM COULD BECOME A SAFETY PROBLEMS IF SOMEONE GETS IN A CAR ACCIDENT OR HAS A CAR FIRE AND EITHER THE DRIVER OR THEIR PASSENGERS CANNOT GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE QUICKLY UNLESS THE DRIVER UNLOCKS THE DOOR FOR THEM AND YOU HAVE TO QUICKLY OPEN THE VEHICLE DOOR BEFORE IT LOCKS ON YOU AGAIN.
DOOR LOCKS LOCK AND UNLOCK WHILE DRIVING
DOOR LOCKS MAKE A LOUD NOISE AND NOW AREN'T WORKING RIGHT. THEY SHOULD NOT DO THIS! THIS VEHICLE IS MY DAUGHTER'S VEHICLE. SHE TOOK OWNERSHIP IN JULY 2018.
CRV WAS IN PARK, TURNED ON IGNITION, CLOSED DRIVER DOOR AND WENT AROUND TO BACK DOOR TO GET SOMETHING FROM THE BACK SEAT; CAR LOCKS LOCKED WHEN I CLOSED DOOR. WE HAD TO JIMMY THE CAR LOCK OPEN WHILE CAR WAS ON. NOW, ONE OF THE BACK LOCKS SOUNDS LIKE A MACHINE GUN WHEN WE LOCK THE CAR WITH THE FOB OR WHEN THE LOCKS CLOSE THEMSELVES AFTER REACHING A CERTAIN SPEED.

HONDA DEAL SAYS THERE WAS RECALL THAT EXPIRED 7 YEARS AFTER ORIGINAL PURCHASE DATE THAT WOULD HAVE COVERED A DAMAGE AC COMPRESSOR. THERE TONS OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE. MY CAR HAS LESS THEN 100K AND THEY WON'T HONOR IT ANYMORE. VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE 1200K OR MORE
REAR LEFT DOOR KEEPS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING ITSELF WHILE IN MOTION, UNLOCK ITSELF WHEN PARKED.
AC STOPPED BLOWING COLD AIR. AN INSPECTION INDICATED THE COMPRESSOR HAD STOPPED WORKING. REPLACING THIS PART WOULD BE EXTENSIVE AND COSTLY, WITH NO GUARANTEES IT WOULD SOLVE MY AC PROBLEMS. MY VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. REPORTS INDICATE A RECALL HAD BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLM.

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR AN OIL CHANGE, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RACK AND PINION WAS LEAKING AND COULD CAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 93,600.
I PURCHASED 4 NEW TIRES FROM LES SCHWAB ON 11-29-17 (102T ROAD CONTROL NW3 ALL SEASONS BW TIRES). SEVEN MONTHS LATER, ON 6-20-18, ONE OF THE TIRES BLEW OUT. I HAD DRIVEN FOR 1-1/2 HOURS IN 80 DEGREE WEATHER, AND WAS IDLING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WHEN THE TIRE BLEW (LOUD EXPLOSION). I DIDN'T HAVE ANY WARNING. THE TIRE WAS SPLIT OR SEPARATED NEAR THE RIM. THE TIRE HAD BEEN INFLATED CORRECTLY AND WAS OTHERWISE IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE HADN'T BEEN ANY CASES OF IMPACT TO THE TIRE OR AN OVERLOADED CAR. I DIDN'T SUFFER ANY DAMAGE, BECAUSE I WAS VERY LUCKY TO NOT BE ON THE FREEWAY. LES SCHWAB REPLACED THE TIRE FOR FREE, AS IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. I ASKED WHAT THEY THINK HAPPENED TO THE TIRE, BECAUSE I'M CONCERNED ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT I MIGHT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE REMAINING 3 TIRES, AND THEY DIDN'T RESPOND.
THIS IS A COMPLAINT ON THE LAW. I KEEP GETTING HARRASSING RECALLS FOR A CAR THAT WAS SOLD ABROAD BECAUSE THE WI DMV SHOWS ME AS TH LAST REGISTERED OWNER. HONDA WILL NOT STOP MAILING ME BECAUSE THEY SAY THE LAW REQUIRES THEY REPEATEDLY SEND NOTICES TO THE LAST KNOWN REGISTERED OWNER. THE DMV CANNOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE I AM THE LAST KNOWN REGISTERED OWNER. THE LAW SHOULD ALLOW FOR ME TO REMOVE MY NAME VOLUNTARILY.

WARNING LIGHT WOULD TURN ON AND AFTER THAT WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR WILL BARELY RESPOND AND FASTEST IT WILL GO IS 10 MPH! I LITERALLY HAVE TO PUT ON MY HAZARDS AND WAVE CARS BY THEN FIND A PLACE I CAN STOP MY CAR, TURN IT OFF, RESTART IT, THEN THE WARNING LIGHTS ARE GONE AND I CAN DRIVE AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED 2 TIMES IN THE PAST ONE MONTH. I TOOK TO A MECHANIC & HE STATED I NEED TO REPLACE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR & V-TEC SOLENOID. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT.
RECENTLY ON THE VISIT TO HONDA DEALER FOR AIR BAG RECALL REPLACEMENT THE SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD ME THAT MY RACK AND PINON STEERING ON THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING.
