TAKATA RECALL. MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING AT COMMUNITY HONDA SINCE MARCH 25, 2016. I HAVE BEEN IN A RENTAL VEHICLE EVER SINCE. I HAVE TALKED TO MY DEALER, THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE. I HAVE TALKED TO HONDA CORPORATE AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THE PARTS ARE ORDERED BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THE DEALER WILL GET THEM. I AM TIRED OF THIS. ALL I WANT IS FOR MY CAR TO BE FIXED AND RETURNED TO ME. I TOLD HONDA CORPORATE FOR ALL THE MONEY THEY ARE PAYING OUT IN RENTAL THEY COULD PUT ME IN A NEW CR-V. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND I JUST WANT RESOLUTION TO THIS SITUATION.

AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH BROKE. IT IS HUGELY EXPENSIVE. IN TEXAS NOT HAVING AC IS LIFE THREATENING. LITERALLY OVER 70% OF CRV OWNER HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. I'M A STUDENT SO I CAN'T SPEND OVER $1500 ON SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BUILT RIGHT (OVER 160 DEGREES IN A CAR IN TEXAS). THIS ITEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED BECAUSE IT WOULD BE FIXED IN 24 HRS IN A APT BY LAW.
TAKADA RECALL I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM HONDA IN MARCH FOR DEFECTIVE AIR BAG INFLATOR AND A SECOND RECALL NOTICE IN JULYFOR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR.. I HAVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AND EVERY TIME I'M TOLD THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.IT'S BEEN MORE THAN 60 DAYS AND STILL NO APPOINTMENT.

OWNER IS 19 YO COLLEGE STUDENT - WILL NOT RENT TO SOMEONE YOUNGER THAT 21. SO NOW, DEAD IN WATER WHILE WAITING ON "MANAGER" TO CALL BACK.

"TAKATA RECALL" ?? NHTSA RECALL 16V-061. I RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN MARCH 2016. FOR THIS VEHICLE. THE NOTICE DOES NOT MENTION TAKATA SPECIFICALLY. I NOTIFIED O'NEIL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND HAVE CALLED MONTHLY TO CHECK ON STATUS. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT PARTS ARE ON ORDER AND DELAY IS DUE TO NATIONAL RECALL, SHORTAGE OF PARTS AND DELAY DUE TO EARTHQUAKES IN JAPAN, WHERE POSSIBLE MANUFACTURE OR DISTRIBUTION IS LOCATED. REASONABLE TIME OF 60 DAYS TO MAKE REPAIR HAS PASSED. THE ONLY REASON I AM FILING A COMPLAINT IS DUE TO HAVING A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH A TOYOTA VEHICLE, WHERE IT TOOK OVER 6 MONTHS TO GET A RECALL REPAIR MADE. IF HONDA & TOYOTA AND OTHER AUTO MANUFACTURES ARE HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING THERE PARTS FROM OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY. IT SEEMS REASONABLE TO SET UP MANUFACTURE AND DISTRIBUTIONS WITHIN THE UNITED STATES TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THIS RECALL SPECIFICALLY REGARDING AIR BAGS IS OF EXTREME NATURE DUE TO THE NUMBER OF AFFECTED VEHICLES. THERE HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTED DEATHS AND INJURY IN MY STATE OF KANSAS. I EXPECT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO TAKE AND ACTIVE ROLE IN EXPEDITING A RESOLUTION TO THIS NATIONAL SAFETY ISSUE. AND FURTHERMORE TO ENACT LEGISLATION TO PROTECT US CITIZENS AND DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURERS, REGARDING THEIR SUPPLIERS AND THE NEED FOR TIMELY RESOLUTION. IT SEEMS REASONABLE TO EXPECT THE AUTO MAKERS TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION, EVEN IF IT MEANS OPERATING A MANUFACTURING PLANT HERE IN THE US TO MAKE THE PARTS REQUIRED TO MEET THE DEMAND FOR THIS SPECIFIC RECALL. AIR BAGS ARE ON A LEVEL WITH SEAT BELTS IN SAVING LIVES. ITS TIME TO STOP THE EXCUSES, THE DELAYS AND LONG WAIT FOR THE CONSUMER. DRIVERS DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR- MY DOORS WOULD NOT AUTO LOCK ANY LONGER WHEN BEGINNING TO DRIVE. THE AUTO SYSTEM CONTINUED TO TRY AUTO LOCK WHILE I WAS DRIVING CLICKING BACK ON AND OFF TRYING TO GET THE DOORS TO LOCK WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. ALSO MY DOORS WOULD NO LONGER LOCK WITH THE KEY REMOTE. MY VIN NUMBER FELL OUTSIDE THE RANGE FOR 2009 CR-V'S WITH THE SAME REPORTED PROBLEM COVERED IN THE SVC BULLENTINE #14-083 FOR REPLACING THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR. I BELIEVE OTHER VEHICLES ARE EFFECTED LIKE MINE WHICH IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE DOOR LOCK WILL NOT ACTIVATE WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAPPENS ON CITY STREETS OR ON THE HIGHWAY.

I HAVE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER FORD AND HONDA, AND HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN ANY INFORMATION ABOUT WHEN PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE. HAVING NOT HEARD FROM THE DEALERSHIP, I CALLED AGAIN ON 11JULY 2016 ONLY TO BE TOLD THE PARTS WERE NEVER ORDERED AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOW ORDER. I AGAIN CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ON 19AUG'16 INQUIRING WHEN OUR CRV WOULD BE REPAIRED AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT IN YET AND THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT US WHEN THEY ARRIVE.
