TAKATA RECALL , AIR BAG INFLATOR REPLACED AT DEALER. DRIVERS SEAT SLIDING WHEN TAKING OFF OR STOPPING. DEALER DIAGNOSIS SAID FRONT DRIVERS SEAT NEEDS UPPER AND LOWER BUSHINGS. NOTICED THIS PROBLEM CLOSE TO THE END OF FIRST TWO YEARS, ONLY IF HUSBAND DRIVES IT. LATER WITH ALL DRIVERS. PAID $53.32 ON OCT 27 2016 FOR DIAGNOSTICS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA CR-V EQUIPPED WITH CONTINENTAL 4X4 TIRES, SIZE: 225 65 R17. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TIRES BECAME WORN PREMATURELY AT 20,000 MILES. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY ADVISED THAT ALL FOUR TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRES WERE THE ORIGINAL TIRES THAT CAME EQUIPPED WITH THE VEHICLE WHEN PURCHASE. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW. THE DOT NUMBER WAS UNAVAILABLE. UPDATED 10/15/12 *CN UPDATED 10/23/2012 *JS
I WAS POSITIONED AT AN INTERSECTION, WAITING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. SINCE THIS VEHICLE IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE ONE I HAD, PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC DIDN'T CONCERN ME THAT MUCH. WELL, IT DOES NOW. IT WENT JUST ENOUGH INTO THE INTERSECTION TO GET ME INTO A NEAR CRASH SITUATION. IT JUST TOTALLY BOGGED DOWN. THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR MAYBE? I HAVE TALKED TO FOUR PEOPLE WITH 2010 AND 2011 CRV'S AND THEY SAY THE SAME THING. I LOVE THIS CAR, BUT THIS HAS TO BE ADDRESSED. I HAVE HAD NO OTHER PROBLEMS EXCEPT FOR THIS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT TRAVELING 2 MPH THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A CEMENT LIGHT POLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,417 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 29,427.
THIS IS IN REFERENCE TO WHAT WE BELIEVE IS A PRODUCT DEFECT IN OUR 2011 HONDA CR-V EX THAT HAS OCCURRED TWO TIMES TO DATE. ONE OCCURRENCE WAS JULY 13. 2012 WITH MY HUSBAND AND I EXPERIENCED THE SECOND WHILE DRIVING THE CAR ON MAY 23, 2013. SUMMARY OF THE OCCURRENCES TO DATE, ALMOST IDENTICAL IN BOTH CASES: WHILE GOING TO PARK THE CAR, THE CAR ACCELERATES DRAMATICALLY WHILE WE WERE BRAKING. THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL THEY HIT SOMETHING, I.E. OUR GARAGE DOOR AND A CONCRETE WALL IN A PARKING LOT. ON THE FIRST OCCURRENCE, WE CONTACTED BOTH HONDA AND OUR INSURANCE COMPANIES. AFTER THEIR INSPECTION, THE CLAIMED THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD FIND WRONG WITH THE CAR. WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE THE CAR BACK BECAUSE IT WAS LEASED AND THEIR TRADE PROPOSITION WAS COST PROHIBITIVE. WE DROVE IT AND THE SECOND INCIDENT OCCURRED. NOW THE CAR IS PARKED AND WE DO NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO. IF WE TAKE IT TO HONDA, WE ARE FEARFUL THAT THEY WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CAR OR MAKE ANOTHER TEMPORARY ADJUSTMENT TO THE CAR AND WE WILL AGAIN BE IN A SIMILAR SITUATION WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO OURSELVES AND/OR OTHERS. I WAS PULLING OUT OF PARKING SPOT IN REVERSE IN A CROWDED MOVIE THEATER PARKING LOT WHEN MY 2011 HONDA CR-V ACCELERATED AT FULL SPEED INTO THE CEMENT POLE BEHIND ME. CONFUSED, I PUT THE CAR IN 'DRIVE' TO PULL MYSELF AWAY FROM THE POLE, WHEN THE CAR ONCE AGAIN ACCELERATED AT FULL SPEED FORWARD TOWARD THE SPOT I WAS ORIGINAL IN HITTING AND CONTINUALLY PUSHING A PARKED MINI-VAN, WHICH IN TURN PUSHED AND KEPT PUSHING THE PARKED CAR NEXT TO IT. IN AN ATTEMPT TO STOP THE CAR, I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND ONCE AGAIN WENT IN REVERSE, CRASHING INTO THE SAME CEMENT POLE. DESPITE THE FACT THAT I BORE DOWN ON THE BRAKES REPEATEDLY, THE CAR DID NOT STOP UNTIL I PUT THE CAR IN 'PARK". IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER, I TURNED THE CAR OFF. THIS ALL OCCURRED IN SECONDS AND WAS TERRIFYING...I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. WITNESSES IN THE MOVIE THEATER PARKING LOT WERE STOPPED IN THEIR TRACKS HEARING THE LOUD ROAR OF THE ENGINE. *TR
I CALLED IN A CLAIM/COMPLAINT AROUND JUNE 8 2012 FOR PREMATURE WEAR FOR CONTINENTAL 225/65R17-102T TIRES EQUIPPED ON 2011 HONDA CR-V TO CONTINENTAL &HONDA. CONTINENTAL ADVERTISES TIRES ARE WARRANTED FOR 65,000 MILES OR 6 YEARS. IT BECAME NECESSARY TO REPLACE ALL 4 TIRES 0608/2012 AT 31,463 MILES OR LESS THAN HALF THE EXPECTED LIFE OF THE TIRE BECAUSE THE TIRES CAUSE MY VEHICLE TO FAIL INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE AND TIRES CONSISTENTLY WERE SERVICED BY ACCREDITED HONDA DEALER & TIRE PRESSURE MAINTAINED.BOTH HONDA AND CONTINENTAL REFUSED TO HONOR THE WARRANTY. *TR
SAID HONDA CR-V PURCHASED 05/22/14 AT PORT CHARLOTTE HONDA AND WAS TRADED IN ABOUT 2 HOURS PRIOR TO PURCHASE.OUR 2007 LINCOLN TOWN CAR WAS SUPPOSEDLY SOLD PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL AT DEALERSHIP. WE WANTED TO DRIVE OUR LINCOLN BACK HOME & LEAVE THE HONDA FOR SAFETY INSPECTION AND DETAILING PER OUR AGREEMENT WITH SALES PERSON (MIKE HOMER) AND FINANCE MANAGER (ERIC DANE). THEY INSISTED WE DRIVE THE HONDA HOME AND RETURN FOR THE SERVICES THE NEXT WEEK AS PROMISED. THE FRONT TIRES WERE VERY BALD BEING THE ORIGINAL TIRES THAT CAME ON IT IN 2011. WE INSISTED THAT AT THE LEAST THE FRONT AND REAR TIRES BE ROTATED SO THE BETTER (NOT EXACTLY TRUE) WERE ON THE FRONT SINCE IT WAS A FRONT WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE. UPON RETURNING FOR SERVICE I TOLD MIKE AND ERIC I WASN'T AT ALL HAPPY WITH THE CONDITION OF THE 2 TIRES ON THE FRONT, IT WAS A REAL SAFETY ISSUE. THEY ASSURED ME THE TIRES MET THE SPECS AND WERE SAFE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THE TIRE SPECS WERE BETWEEN 2/32TH AND 4/32TH. THIS ISN'T A TRUE STATEMENT & I WAS TOLD BY THE GENERAL SALES MANAGER THEY COULDN'T SPEND ANY ADDITIONAL ON THE VEHICLE. BEING THE FIRST HONDA WE HAVE EVER PURCHASED IT WAS A MAJOR DECISION SWITCHING FROM FORD (WHICH WE HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLES OR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT). ERIC SAID WE WOULD BE REAL HAPPY WITH THE HONDA CR-V WHICH WE ARE EXCEPT FOR THE SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE TIRES. I'VE MADE NUMEROUS CALLS BUT THE DEALERSHIP STILL REFUSES TO REPLACE THE TIRES WITHOUT CHARGING US FOR THEM. I REFUSE TO PAY HUNDREDS FOR DOLLARS FOR TIRES THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT THE DEALERSHIP. I TOOK THE HONDA TO THE LOCAL BRIDGESTONE DEALERSHIP HERE IN CAPE CORAL FOR EVALUATION AND THE MEASUREMENT WAS 1/32 AND HE SAID HE WOULDN'T DRIVE 2 MILES ON THOSE DANGEROUS TIRES. THE LEFT DRIVER'S TIRE WAS FLAT EVERY MORNING SO WE ARE NOW ON A DONUT TIRE. WE NEEDED THIS ISSUED RESOLVED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. UPDATED 05/7/2015*JS
OUR WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM TRAVELS FROM RIGHT TO LEFT REMOVING RAIN FROM THE WINDSHIELD, THE AIR PASSING OVER AND AROUND THE WINDSHIELD ARM AS IT RETURNS, THE WIPER PULLS THE RAIN BACK ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD BLOCKING THE DRIVERS VISION. IT APPEARS THAT THE DESIGN OF THE WINDSHIELD ARM AND BLADE CAUSES A VACUUM THAT PULLS THE WATER BACK ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD BLOCKING THE DRIVERS VISION. HERE IN FLORIDA WITH TORRENTIAL RAIN STORM THIS FACTOR IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. A QUICK FIX WOULD BE AIRFOIL THAT SNAPS ONTO THE WINDSHIELD ARM THAT WOULD DIRECT AIR INTO THIS VACUUM BEHIND THE WIPER BLADE, DESTROYING THE SUCTION THAT PULLS THE WATER BACK ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD BLOCKING THE DRIVERS VISION. *TR
CAR WAS AT A FULL STOP WHILE WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE TO PROCEED AND WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE THE CAR JUMPED FORWARD HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME CAUSING DAMAGE. I CONTACTED HONDA IN CALIFORNIA AND WAS ADVISED THEY HAD COMPLAINTS BUT NOT ENOUGH TO WARRANT A RECALL ON THE SITUATION. I DO CHECK TO SEE IF ANY RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. CAR FACTS HAS MANY OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON FILE AND NOTHING HAS BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED YET. *TR
THREE TIMES DANGEROUS AND UNWANTED ACCELERATION WHEN BRAKING AT STOP LIGHT. ENGINE SEVERELY REVVED UP, HAD TO PUT VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL. TOOK IT INTO HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THEY HAD THEIR MECHANIC CHECK IT OUT AND COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG. THE NEXT DAY WE HAD A MEETING WITH THE DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER AND HE HAD IT RECHECKED AND HE TOOK IT FOR A TEST DRIVE. HE COULD NOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM AND THEREFORE COULDN'T DO ANYTHING MORE. SINCE THEY COULDN'T DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM, HE SAID TO CONTINUE DRIVING IT TO SEE IF THE SITUATION RECURRED. I AM NOW AFRAID TO DRIVE MY NEW SIX MONTH OLD CAR AND HAVE LOST FAITH IN ITS RELIABILITY. *TR
YES I HAD A CAR WRECK SWERVED TO MISS A DEER AND HIT AN ELECTRIC POLE I WAS DOING ABOUT 35 MPH WHEN I HIT THE POLE IT TOOK THE POLE COMPLETELY DOWN AND MY ARE BAGS IN MY HONDA CRV DID NOT COME OUT AND I WAS JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY. *TR *JS

THE CONTACT SUFFERED BACK INJURIES AS A RESULT OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED BY THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING A RESPONSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 7 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF LIGHT ILLUMINATED WITH THE PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE TIRE WAS REPAIRED BY THE CONTACT AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. 2011 HONDA CRV 4X4 WAS GOING AT 52 MPH AND TRYING TO BRAKE AND STEERING WHEEL WAS SHAKING REALLY BAD. ALSO WHEN DRIVING AT 65+ MPH THIS CAR STEERING REALLY SHAKES BADLY. -COMPLAINT IT TO HONDA MOTOR / DEALER WHERE CAR WAS PURCHASED BUT NO REAL HELP FROM ANYONE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. - ALL 4-TIRES ARE WORN UN-EVENLY AT 19000 MILES - DEALER / HONDA MOTOR IS NOT WILLING TO RESPONSE BACK OR SEND US EMAIL BACK TO ACKNOWLEDGE OUR COMPLAINT ABOUT THE TIRES. - THEY ARE SAYING THAT THIS IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM, I SHOULD BE COMPLAINING TO THE TIRE COMPANY. *TR

THE DEALER CHANGED THE SHIFTER PIN AND ADJUSTED THE SHIFTER CABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT TWO DAYS AFTER THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO PARK. MY CAR WAS 10 DAYS OLD AND THE BUMPER STARTED PEELING. TOOK ME A LOT OF JUMPING HOOPS, PHONE CALLS, LETTERS, AND DAYS OFF WORK TO GET IT REPAIRED. IT WAS REALLY A NIGHTMARE. 6 MONTHS LATER 6/22/2012 THE REAR BUMPER STARTED PEELING. THEY FIXED IT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS . LESS THAN ANOTHER MONTH NOW IT IS PEELING AT THE LIFT GATE UNDER THE HANDLE TO OPEN AND THEY WANT TO SEE IT AND SEE WHAT IT IS DOING THEN SEE IF THEY APPROVE IT AND BACK TO JUMPING HOOPS ON A VEHICLE THAT IS LESS THAN 9 MONTHS OLD. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE PAINT ON THESE. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE PAINT DOESN'T STICK WELL TO PLASTIC BUT I HAVE LOTS OF DINGS I HAVE HAD TO FILL IT CHIPS VERY EASILY ALSO. I HAVE A TOYOTA WITH ALMOST 300K THAT DOESN'T HAVE THE LOOKS OF MY NEW CAR THAT STAYS PARKED DUE TO ME BEING SCARED TO DRIVE B/C IT MIGHT PEEL OR CHIP. THIS IS NUTS. I WANT IT FIXED AND OR TRADED AND DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO KEEP GOING BACK AND FORTH THIS IS RIDICULOUS WITH A NEW CAR TO HAVE TO LOSE PAY TO GO 150 MILES TO HAVE MY CAR LOOKED AT THEN SCHEDULE THE APPT 150 MILES AND THEN 150 MILES TO GET IT, BUT ALSO TAKE A DAY OFF WORK FOR BOTH. IT IS LOSS OF PAY, COST OF GAS, TIME AND IS GETTING REALLY TIRING! *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,210.
FRONT PASSENGER SEATS ROCKS. IT IS NOT SEATED FIRMLY IN TRACKS. HONDA AND DEALER SAY THIS IS A "CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE" AND NOT A DEFECT THEY CAN OR WILL FIX. *TR
THE ENGINE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED IN A PARKING GARAGE. THE BRAKES SLOWED THE CAR ON THE FIRST ACCELERATION, BUT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY THE ENGINE AGAIN REVVED-- TO A SHRILL, LOUD SOUND LIKE THAT OF A JET ENGINE. RESULT : CAR RAMMED INTO A SUPPORT PILLAR IN THE GARAGE; AIRBAG DEPLOYED, AND I WAS WEARING MY SEAT BELT. CAR MAY BE TOTALED, STILL AWAITING ESTIMATE FROM INSURANCE. I SPENT 4 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR SURGERY ON MY BROKEN ARM, MULTIPLE BRUISES AND SWOLLEN FACE, AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DRIVE FOR 3-4 MONTHS. *TR

THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR COMES EVERY MONTH OR TWO SINE NOVEMBER 2011. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW IN JANUARY 2011. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE HONDA DEALER AT LEAST 5 TIMES AND GET DIFFERENT REASONS SUCH AS TIRE PRESSURE IS LOW, TIRE WAS REPAIRED DUE TO A NAIL , WE COULDN'T FIND NOTHING WRONG AND WE JUST RESET IT, AND SINCE YOU WERE DRIVING IN COLD TEMPERATURES THE LIGHT HAS A TENDENCY TO ONE. HOWEVER, I TOOK THE CAR IN JUST TO WEEKS AGO AND WAS TOLD THAT THE TIRE PRESSURES WERE LOW AND SOMEBODY AT WORK MUST HAVE BEEN DEFLATING MY TIRES WHICH I FIND BURDEN. THREE DAYS AFTER THIS RESET THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. IT JUST SEEM THAT THEY AREN'T WILLING TO CHECK THE PROBLEM OUT THOROUGHLY BECAUSE I HAVE 32KPLUS MILES. I M WILLING TO FILE A CLASS ACTION IF POSSIBLE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING OUT OF A PARKING LOT OF AN OUTDOOR SHOPPING MALL, SUDDENLY THE CAR DID NOT MOVE AT ALL. I SHIFTED TO L1 TO SEE HOW IT WOULD REACT. NO MOVEMENT. SHIFTED TO L2, STILL THE CAR DID NOT BUDGE AT ALL. FINALLY, I SHIFTED TO R, THEN, IT MOVED BACKWARD. I PUT THE SHIFT INTO D, AND THEN O.K. I REMEMBER, IN THE PAST, THE CAR HESITATED TO START OUT AFTER A STOP AT INTERSECTIONS. I CONTACTED THE LOCAL DEALER. THEY SAY THEY CANNOT DO MUCH BECAUSE THE PROBLEM HAS TO BE REPLICATED TO DIAGNOSE IT. I TOLD THEM, I OR ANY ONE COULD REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. ANYWAY, I TOLD THEM I AM BRINGING IN MY CAR TOMORROW. BUT I AM AFRAID IF THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENS ON THE BUSY STREET ON MY WAY TO THE DEALER. I WILL APPRECIATE TO LET ME KNOW IF ANY ONE HAD EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JENSEN TIRES AND THE TIRES WERE REPLACED WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND OF TIRES; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT MY CR-V, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, APPROXIMATELY 50 MILES ON THE CAR. THE DEALERSHIP TESTED THE LIGHT, AND FOUND IT TO BE A FAULTY FTP SENSOR, WHICH THEY REPLACED OFF OF ANOTHER CR-V ON THE LOT. SINCE THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT MY CAR, I HAVE HAD THE PHANTOM CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON AND OFF ABOUT EVERY MONTH. I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO ANOTHER HONDA DEALERSHIP IN MARCH 2012, AND THEY FOUND THE FTP SENSOR WAS CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO GO ON, BUT COULD NOT IDENTIFY WHERE IN THE SENSOR WAS BAD. THEY CLEARED THE CODE, AND ALL WAS FINE FOR ABOUT ANOTHER MONTH. THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AGAIN A FEW WEEKS LATER, BUT WHEN I GOT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE LIGHT HAD GONE OFF AS I PULLED INTO SERVICE. APRIL 6, THE CHECK FUEL CAP LIGHT WAS FLASHING(WHICH SEEMS TO HAPPEN EVERYTIME THE LIGHT IS ABOUT TO GO ON) AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON APRIL 7. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN FOR THE 4TH TIME.THEY SAID I HAD YET ANOTHER BAD FTP SENSOR, AND REPLACED IT AGAIN, THIS TIME WITH A NEW PART IN STOCK. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE SINCE THE CAR WAS BOUGHT, AND IS EFFECTING MY GAS MILEAGE. RIGHT BEFORE THE LIGHT GOES ON, MY MILEAGE GOES FROM 27 MPG TO AROUND 22MPG. *TR

STATIC ELECTRICAL SHOCKING WHEN EXISTING THE VEHICLE AFTER THE SECOND DAY OF OWNING THE VEHICLE. STATIC ELECTRICITY SHOCK IS MORE PAINFUL THEN ORDINARY STATIC SHOCK. VISITED THE DEALER, STATED THAT HAPPENS WITH THE CLOTH SEATS AND NO REAL REMEDY FOR THE STATIC ELECTRICITY PROBLEMS. SUGGESTED I BUY ANTI STATIC SPRAY FOR THE SEATS. ANTI STATIC SPRAY HELPS THE SHOCK TO A LESSER DEGREE, BUT DOES NOT LAST LONG. PAINFUL SHOCKS COME BACK QUICKLY AFTER ANTISTATIC SPRAY NO LONGER WORKING. DURING THE RAIN SEASON, THE SHOCKS WERE LESS, BUT THE DRY SEASON IS BACK AND THE SHOCKS ARE BECOMING UNBEARABLE. CONCERN WITH INTENSE SHOCKS IF THEY MAY PLACE A PERSON WITH A PACEMAKER DEFIBRILLATOR IMPLANT IN DANGER. *TR
WHILE DRIVING MY WIPERS PULL THE WATER BACK ACROSS IN FRONT OF ME THE DRIVER THIS IS A MAJOR HAZARD IT BLOCKS MY VIEW AND AT NIGHT IT IS ALMOST TO WHERE YOU WOULD RATHER STAY HOME IF ITS RAINING CAUSE YOU ARE AFRAID YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SEE. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO HONDA ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THEY HAVE SAID AFTER CHANGING THE WIPER BLADES AND TRYING TO BEND THE ARM AND MULTIPLE RAIN X APPLICATIONS THEY CAN NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP ME. THEY SAID THAT CHANGING THE WINDSHIELD WOULD NOT HELP, AND TO ME BY LOOKING AT THE AUTOMOBILE IF THE LIP DOWN THE SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD WAS NOT THERE THE WATER WOULD BE SLUNG OFF THE SIDE VERSE BEING HELD ON THE WINDSHIELD. I HAVE EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS TO THE SERVICE MANAGER ETC AND EVEN HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHILE TRAVELING BECAUSE THE RAINING ISSUE AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE. THIS IS BECOMING A LARGE PROBLEM AND DRIVING THE VEHICLE IS JUST UNSAFE. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO GET THIS CORRECTED IF ANYONE COULD HELP. WHEN CRUISING ALONG AT A CONSTANT SPEED AND TRYING TO ACCELERATE TO PASS A CAR, THE CR-V DOES NOT DOWNSHIFT TO AN APPROPRIATE LOWER GEAR. THE CAR ACTUALLY SLOWS DOWN AS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS FURTHER DEPRESSED. THE MOTOR BOGS DOWN. IF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS PRESSED DOWN ABNORMALLY FAR, THE CAR MAY THEN DROP INTO A LOWER GEAR. WHEN DRIVING UP A HILL AND ADDITIONAL POWER IS NEEDED THE SAME SYMPTOMS OCCUR. THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT ALWAYS DOWNSHIFT AND THE ENGINE BOGS DOWN WITH MINIMAL POWER. THESE ARE BOTH INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. THERE IS A HONDA TSB 10-077 WHICH MAY ADDRESS THE ISSUE. IT CAN BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS AS THE ENGINE HAS VERY LITTLE POWER WHEN THIS OCCURS.

THIS IS BECAUSE I TRANSPORT A THERAPY DOG (THROUGH THERAPY DOGS INTERNATIONAL) TO FACILITIES IN THE BACK OF THE CAR. IF I OPT TO TAKE A RISK AND CONTINUE DRIVING THE CAR, MY CAR WILL BE ONE OF THE LAST TO BE REPAIRED, AS ALL INDIVIDUALS WITH LEASED CARS WILL BE GIVEN A PRIORITY. WITH 28,000 MILES NOW ON OUR 2011 CRV THAT WE BOUGHT NEW ALL 4 TIRES WERE WORN OUT WITH 13,550 MILES ON THEM,AND HAD ALWAYS HAD A VERY SLIGHT FRONT END BUMP. AFTER REPLACING ALL 4 TIRES THE BUMP WAS SO BAD WE WENT STRAIGHT BACK TO THE TIRE DEALER AND TIRE PRESSURE AND BALANCE WAS RECHECKED AND WAS FINE THE TIRES ARE FIRESTONE. AT 100 MILES ON THE TIRES WE WENT BACK AND HAD THE TIRES RECHECKED AND ROTATED WITH NO IMPROVEMENT IN THE BUMP. THE HONDA DEALERSHIP COULD ONLY SAY THE ORIGINAL TIRES WERE A VERY SOFT COMPOUND AS THE NEW ONES ARE A BETTER TIRE AND DOES NOT RIDE AS SOFT. THIS DEALERSHIP HAS SINCE CHANGED OWNERS AND THERE IS NO RECORD OF THEM CHECKING THE CAR. HE CRV EXL NOW HAS 25000 MILES AND TIRES ARE WEARING GREAT BUT STILL HAVE THE BUMP. *TR
THE FRONT SEAT HEAD RESTRAINTS IN THE 2011 HONDA CR-V ARE TILTED TOO FAR FORWARD, RESULTING IN SEVERE NECK STRAIN FOLLOWED BY HEADACHES. WHILE HONDA SUGGESTS POSITIONING THE SEAT TILTED BACK, THIS DOES NOT ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEM AND RESULTS IN A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE MY WIFE THEN HAS DIFFICULTY SEEING OVER THE HOOD AND GRASPING THE STEERING WHEEL. I TURNED ENGINE OFF AND THEN AT GREEN LIGHT TURNED ENGINE ON AND IT WAS OK. THIS HAPPENED FOUR SEPARATE TIMES WHEN THE CAR HAD JUST OVER 200 MILES ON IT, JUST OVER 400 MILES, 723 MILES, AND 819 MILES. I DID NOT HAVE MY FOOT ON BOTH GAS AND BRAKE, THE MATS ARE THE HONDA MATS THAT COME WITH CAR AND ARE FASTENED TO THE FLOOR AND WERE NOT ON THE GAS. THIS REALLY HAPPENED, VERY SCARY. REPORTED TO HONDA AND TOOK CAR IN TWICE. HONDA SAID THERE WERE NO CODES AND THE BRAKES LOOKED OK. THEY SAID TO CALL AMERICAN HONDA WHICH I DID. I REPORTED IT AS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. HONDA SAID SOMEONE WOULD GET IN TOUCH WITH ME THE NEXT DAY. ITS BEEN A WEEK AND NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME. I HAVE OWNED THE CAR FOR 40 DAYS AND DRIVEN IT LESS THAN 850 MILES AND THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES AND BEEN IN THE SHOP TWICE.
