THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON I BROUGHT TO THEM AND IT AND THEY RETURN IT TO ME ITS STILL ON I DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG. NO MY AC I ALSO BLOWING HOT AIR INSTEAD OF COLD MANY COMPLAINS BUT THEY DONT DO ANYTHING WE NEED HELP.AIR BAG I CALLED THEY SAID THEY WILL CALL BUT NOBODY CALLED FIR RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE AIRBAG INFLATORS IN MARCH 2016. I CONTACTED CAUSEWAY HONDA AND WAS GIVEN A RENTAL CAR TO DRIVE UNTIL THE PART WAS TO BE AVAILABLE. IT HAS NOW BEEN 2 MONTHS AND I AM UNABLE TO GET ANY RESPONSE FROM CAUSEWAY IE. WHEN THAT PART MIGHT BE EXPECT. ALSO - THE RENTAL AGREEMENT WAS FOR 2 MONTHS SO NOW I AM BACK DRIVING THE HONDA. ALL RENTAL DOCUMENTS ARE AVAILABLE WITH DATES ON REQUEST.
TAKATA RECALL - I PURCHASED A 2011 HONDA CR-V FOR MY DAUGHTER AS HER PRIMARY VEHICLE. IN EARLY 2016 I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HONDA INFORMATION ME OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL. THE LETTER ADVISED THAT THE CAR SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN DUE TO FAULTY AIRBAGS THAT HAVE RESULTED IN FATALITIES. THE LETTER INCLUDED A PHONE NUMBER TO HONDA. I HAVE CALLED HONDA AMERICA COUNTLESS TIMES TRYING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. INITIALLY I WAS DIRECTED TO THE DEALER WHO I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM, THEN TO THE CLOSEST DEALER TO WHERE MY DAUGHTER LIVES DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. NEXT I WAS DIRECTED TO FOLLOW UP WITH HONDA AMERICA. I HAVE BEEN GOING AROUND AND AROUND WITH HONDA AMERICA BECAUSE THEY ARE WILLING TO RENT CARS FOR VEHICLES AFFECTED BY THE AIRBAG RECALL SINCE THE IMPACTED CARS ARE SO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT MY DAUGHTER IS 18 AND MAJOR CAR RENTAL COMPANIES DO NOT RENT TO 'UNDER AGE' DRIVERS IN CALIFORNIA. HONDA HAS A WEBSITE DEDICATED TO THIS RECALL AND ON MORE THAN ONE PAGE THEY STATE THAT THEY COMMIT TO ENSURING THAT YOUNG DRIVER HAVE A SEAMLESS EXPERIENCE OBTAINING RENTAL CARS UNTIL THEIR CAR IS SAFE TO DRIVE AGAIN. THAT IS NOT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN MY CASE. TAKATA RECALL! TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL ON MY CAR'S AIR BAGS SINCE MAY 2016. AS OF DECEMBER, 2016, I AM TOLD THAT NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. WE LIVE IN FLORIDA - HOT AND HUMID AND THE CAR IS 5 YEARS OLD. I AM TOLD THAT THE RISK OF CATASTROPHIC FAILURE AND INJURY INCREASES WITH THE AGE OF THE CAR AND IN HOT, HUMID CLIMATES. I DEMAND THAT THE CAR BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY.

I WAS FULLY STOPPED WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AT AN INTERSECTION. MY ENGINE ACCELERATED AND THE CAR BUCKED. I PUSHED MY FOOT HARDER ON THE BRAKE TO KEEP FROM ENTERING THE INTERSECTION.

MY HONDA CR-V DRIVER SIDE DOOR STARTED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE DOORS ABOUT 2 - 3YRS AGO. FINALLY THE DRIVER SIDE LOCK STOP WORKING. WILLET HONDA FOUND THE LOCK ACTUATOR TO BE BAD AND REPLACED THE ITEM FOR $313.68. I REPORTED THIS INFORMATION TO AMERICAN HONDA CASE 04691393 & 03969708.
TAKATA RECALL. RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN MARCH 2016 INDICATING REPLACEMENT PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN "SUMMER 2016." CALLED LOCAL HONDA DEALER TODAY (7/27/16) AND WAS TOLD PART WAS ORDERED ON MAY 7, 2016 AND STILL HAS NOT BEEN DELIVERED. NO ESTIMATE OF WHEN IT MIGHT BE AVAILABLE, TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A PHONE CALL TO SCHEDULE SERVICE WHEN THE PART CAME IN. MEANWHILE, I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO DRIVE AROUND IN A VEHICLE (MY ONLY VEHICLE) THAT COULD RESULT IN MY DEATH IN THE UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCE THAT I WERE TO BE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT THAT CAUSED THE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! HONDA HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS SINCE MARCH-IT IS NOW ALMOST AUGUST AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH LONGER I WILL HAVE TO WAIT TO HAVE THIS FIXED. PRAISE GOD THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT YET AND I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY THAT I AM NOT BECAUSE I HAVE NO OTHER VEHICLE TO USE IN THE MEANTIME. MY LOCAL DEALER HAS DONE THEIR JOB BY ORDERING THE PART-IT SHOULDN'T TAKE OVER 2 MONTHS TO HAVE IT DELIVERED.

NAME AND INFORMATION WAS THEN TAKEN SO THAT I COULD BE CONTACTED WHEN AVAILABLE. NOW IT IS AUGUST 2016 AND PAST THE 60 DAYS. CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY AND DRIVING VEHICLE. DID HAVE A SERVICE DONE IN JUNE 2016 FOR OTHER MAINTENANCE AND DID DOUBLE CHECK THAT NAME WAS ON THE LIST, HOWEVER AIRBAG REPLACEMENT STILL NOT AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME.

LAST SPRING TIME AT THE END OF APRIL 2016 I RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FROM HONDA SAYING THAT MY VEHICLE WAS IN THE LIST OF "RECALL" FOR DEFECT OF THE AIR BAG. THE LETTER SAYS THAT THE PART " WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE SUMMER OF 2016". IT NEVER HAPPENED, LATER AT THE END OF AUGUST, I CALLED HONDA COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PROMISE THEY TOLD ME TO REPAIR MY CAR AIRBAG ON SUMMER AS THEY L SAID IN THEY LETTER. THE SHE PROMISE TO DO IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2016, IT NEVER HAPPEN. TODAY 11/01/2016 AROUND 11.45 I CALLED AGAIN AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME NOW THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL HAVE THE AIRBAG AVAILABLE. I TOLD HER I NEED MY CAR, ESPECIALLY NOW ON WINTER IS WHEN I NEED IT MOST BECAUSE I SUFFER FROM ASTHMA AND IT'S TOO DIFFICULT TO ME GOING AROUND WALKING. THIS CAR WAS IN THE STATE OF RI WHERE MY DAUGHTER WAS GOING TO COLLEGE SO THE CLOSEST HONDA DEALER HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THERE CLOSEST LOCATION AND GAVE ME AN SMALLER CAR WITH THE EXCUSE THAT I WAS GOING TO RECEIVE A CAR WITH SIMILAR CARGO SPACE THAN THE CRV AS SOON AS WE HAVE TO MOVE OUR DAUGHTER OUT OF ONCE SHE FINISHED HER SEMESTER AND ALSO THAT THE CAR WAS GOING TO BE TOWED TO NH WHEN WE MOVE TO NH BUT NOW THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS DENYING THAT THEY MADE SUCH PROMISES AND ASKING US TO COVER THE TOWING BACK TO NH AND BORROW OTHERS PEOPLES CAR TO MOVE OUT OF RI. BACK IN OCTOBER 2015, MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING ME TO THE AIRPORT AT 5 AM. AS WE APPROACHED TO TURN ONTO THE HIGHWAY, THE POWER STEERING DIED AND THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TURNED OFF. WE WERE STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF A DANGEROUS INTERSECTION WITH NO WAY TO FIX THE CAR. WE COULD NOT SHIFT THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL TO PUSH IT OFF THE ROAD. THE POLICE CAME AND SOME GOOD SAMARITANS. SOMEONE FOUND A WAY TO MANUALLY POP SOMETHING OFF TO FORCE THE CAR TO SHIFT AND THAT'S HOW WE GOT THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. I HAD MY 3 YEAR OLD SON WITH ME AT THE TIME TOO. IT WAS AN INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. WHILE I WAS AWAY, THE MECHANIC SHOP LOOKED AT MY CAR AND SAID IT WAS THE COMPUTER. THEY SAID IT WAS LIKE A 2K FIX. WE HAD IT TOWED TO THE MILLENIUM HONDA BECAUSE THAT'S THE DEALERSHIP OF PURCHASE. MILLENIUM HONDA FIXED IT AND SAID IT WAS THE IGNITION FUSE. NOW IT'S APRIL AND OUT OF NORMAL USE (MY CAR IS 2011 AND ONLY 54K MILE), THE CAR WON'T START. IT WAS FULLY FUNCTIONING THE NIGHT BEFORE AND NOTHING WAS LEFT ON. STATIONARY IN THE DRIVEWAY, IT WOULD NOT START. IT'S NOT THE BATTERY BECAUSE THAT WAS CHANGED IN MARCH. NO SOUND WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY. NOTHING WAS LEFT ON. TODAY, WAITING FOR DEALERSHIP TO COME TO A CONCLUSIVE RESOLUTION TO THE SITUATION. THIS HAS SHAKEN MY BELIEF IN THE RELIABILITY OF MY CAR. I ONLY HEARD THROUGH ANOTHER CUSTOMER IN APRIL THAT IF I CONTACT HONDA, A RENTAL WILL BE PROVIDED BECAUSE THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL "PROBABLY" LATE SUMMER 2016. HONDA DID NOT NOTIFY ME THAT A RENTAL CAR COULD BE PROVIDED BUT RELY ON THE CUSTOMER TO CALL THEM. THIS DEFECT COULD CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH TO THE DRIVER OR PASSENGERS OF OUR CAR. I HAVE CALLED 8 DEALERSHIPS IN THE NYC AREA MULTIPLE TIMES THIS WEEK. 2/8 SAID THEY COULD HELP ME RENT A CAR, BUT ONLY UP TO $35/DAY AND THE DIFFERENCE/ INSURANCE AND STORAGE FOR MY DEFECTIVE VEHICLE IS MY FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. ALTHOUGH THE HONDA WEBSITE CLAIMS TO PROVIDE RENTALS AT NO CHARGE. HONDA IS PROVIDING FALSE INFORMATION IN THEIR RECALL CAMPAIGN, AND I CAN NOT AFFORD A RENTAL CAR IN MY AREA BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE AND LIMITED AVAILABILITY. HONDA IS FAILING TO PROVIDE A SAFE CAR FOR ME TO DRIVE MY TODDLER TO DAYCARE IN EVERY DAY. I'M SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR BUT HAVE NO CHOICE FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT THREE MONTHS.

TAKATE RECALL - I WANT TO MAKE YOU AWARE THAT THE HONDA CORPORATION HAS NOT EFFECTIVELY ENSURED THAT ITS INDEPENDENTLY OWNED/OPERATED DEALERSHIPS ARE ADDRESSING ALL AFFECTED DRIVERS OF THE RECALLED VEHICLES. DRIVERS WHO ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 ARE NOT ABLE TO RENT CARS FROM ENTERPRISE RENTAL SERVICES, WHICH IS BEING USED AS THE SOLE ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION OPTION BY HENDRICK HONDA, WOODBRIDGE, VA. HENDRICK HONDA DOES NOT HAVE LOANER VEHICLES. THEREFORE, ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 WHO DRIVES ONE OF THE AFFECTED VEHICLES HAS NO OPTIONS TO GET ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION. OBVIOUSLY, THERE ARE OTHER DEALERS IN THE NOVA AREA, BUT IN A CALL TO THREE DEALERS, THEY HAVE RUN OUT OF LOANER CARS. MY FAMILY IS AFFECTED BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER, AGE 17, CANNOT DRIVE THE OTHER FAMILY VEHICLE DUE TO HER SMALL SIZE AND THE LARGE SIZE OF THE OTHER FAMILY VEHICLE. IT WOULD SEEM TO ME THAT SINCE A 17 YEAR OLD WAS A PERSON WHO WAS KILLED IN THE AIRBAG INCIDENT THAT, IN PART, PROMPTED THIS AIRBAG RECALL, THAT THE HONDA CORPORATION AND ALL ITS INDEPENDENT DEALERS WOULD BE EXPECTED TO HAVE APPROPRIATE ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS FOR ALL DRIVERS, NOT JUST THOSE OVER THE AGE OF 18. I HAVE FILED A SERVICE CLAIM WITH THE HONDA CORPORATION AND HAVE REQUESTED THAT THE SERVICE DIRECTOR FROM HENDRICK HONDA, FROM WHOM I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, TO WHOM I WAS REFERRED TO GET THE ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION, AND WITH WHOM I HAVE DONE BUSINESS FOR WELL OVER 5 YEARS, CALL ME TO DISCUSS THIS PROBLEM IN MORE DETAIL. OUR 2011 HONDA CR-V IS PART OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ISSUE WITH HONDA VEHICLES FOR EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. WE HAVE OUR CAR SERVICED REGULARLY AT A LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND GO BY THE OIL LIFE MONITOR WHEN IT REACHES APPROXIMATELY 15-20%. WE HAD THE CAR SERVICED IN DECEMBER, 2015. ON A RELATIVELY SHORT TRIP IN EARLY APRIL, 2016 WE NOTICED SOMETHING ODD ABOUT THE CAR. TOOK THE CAR INTO THE REGULAR PLACE WHEN WE RETURNED TO FIND OUT IT WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF OIL. WE HAD OIL CHANGED AGAIN IN AUGUST, 2016 -- AGAIN COMPLETELY OUT OF OIL. WE TOOK THE CAR NUMEROUS TIMES TO HONDA FOR PROTOCOL TESTING OF OIL USAGE AT MEASURED MILE MARKERS. WAS TOLD REPEATEDLY THAT THE CAR WAS NOT WITHIN PROTOCOL LIMITS FOR FIXING, EVEN THOUGH IT COMPLETELY WENT THROUGH THE OIL TWICE IN A SPAN OF EIGHT MONTHS. THE CAR WAS SERVICED AGAIN ON OCTOBER 17, 2016 AND WE HAVE PUT IN 2.3 QUARTS OF OIL SINCE THEN. IN THE PROTOCOL TESTING STARTING AUGUST 10 TO OCTOBER 17, THE CAR USED 2.07 QUARTS OF OIL. WE ARE GETTING VERY CLOSE TO THE 125,000 EXTENDED WARRANTY LEVEL AND IT IS SO FRUSTRATING TO KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM, BUT HONDA WILL NOT STAND BEHIND ITS PRODUCT. WE ALSO HAVE A 2004 HONDA CR-V THAT WE HAVE NEVER HAD TO PUT A DROP OF OIL IN -- JUST REGULAR SERVICE TO IT.
