TAKATA RECALL PARAGON HONDA DEALER IN QUEENS, NY, WHERE WE BOUGHT OUR CAR IS VERY 'UNRESPONSIVE' AND NOT VERY FORTHCOMING TO HELP US. MY WIFE AND I WENT AT 7 AM THIS MORNING TO THE SERVICE DEPT. AS INSTRUCTED. BUT LATER I REALIZED IT WAS AT A DIFFERENT PLACE. WHEN I SENT EMAIL SAYING SO TO RICK HE BLOCKED ME FROM SENDING MORE EMAILS.

TAKATA RECALL 4-4-2016 PUT ON LIST TO HAVE RECALL DONE WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY RECALL. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT? AT SOME POINT WILL THE MANUFACTURE BE REQUIRED TO BUY BACK MY CAR? 5 MONTHS IS TO LONG TO WAIT ON A RECALL LIKE THIS.
TAKATA RECALL HELLO, I JUST RECEIVED A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE WHILE HONDA WAITS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX THE INFLATORS. FORTUNATELY, I DID NOT GET TO TEST WHETHER MY VEHICLE WAS AFFECTED. HOWEVER, INSTEAD OF RECEIVING A REPLACEMENT SMALL-SIZE SUV, THEY GAVE ME A MID-SIZED SEDAN IN THE INTERIM. THIS IS A POOR TRADE, AND I WILL INCUR ADDITIONAL COSTS AS I HAVE TO MOVE. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT? I FEEL RIPPED OFF SINCE I WAS APPARENTLY DRIVING A FRAG-GRENADE AROUND FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS.

TAKATA RECALL - FILING A COMPLAINT REGARDING TIME FRAME TO FIX THE AIR BAG ISSUE. I RECEIVED A LETTER BACK IN APRIL ABOUT THIS POSSIBLY DEADLY ISSUE, ONLY TO BE TOLD IT WON'T BE RECTIFIED UNTIL LATE SUMMER/EARLY FALL OF 2016. I DRIVE A DANGEROUS, VERY BUSY HIGHWAY IN MIAMI, 4 TIMES A DAY WITH 2 CHILDREN IN A CAR THAT'S BASICALLY A TIME BOMB. AND THE FACT THAT A FIX TO THIS ISSUE WOULDN'T BE AVAILABLE UNTIL MONTHS AFTER I WAS NOTIFIED IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I CONTACTED A LOCAL DEALERSHIP (BRAMAN HONDA) TWICE ABOUT A FREE LOANER (AS I WAS TOLD THIS WAS AN OPTION) AND NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME. I THEN ASKED ABOUT HAVING MY AIRBAG DISENGAGED SO IT WOULDN'T BE A THREAT. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULDN'T DO THAT. SO STILL NO HELP, AND I WAS LEFT WITH ONE OPTION, BUY A NEW CAR. I TRADED MY CR-V IN AT A DIFFERENT CAR DEALERSHIP FOR A USED ONE. I'M DISAPPOINTED WITH HONDA, WITH THE AIRBAG MANUFACTURER AND THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR NOT HELPING. I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER. I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT AS PART OF A SAFETY RECALL LETTER THAT WAS SENT TO ME BY HONDA, WHERE IT STATES TO DO THIS IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THE AMOUNT OF TIME THE REPAIRS TOOK IN RELATION TO THE RECEIPT OF THE LETTER. NHTSA RECALL 16V-061 RECEIVED NOTICE IN MARCH 2016. CONTACTED DEALER AND WAS TOLD PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE UNTIL MAY. CONTACTED DEALER IN MAY 2016. NO PARTS THIS HAS GONE ON ALL SUMMER. IN MY LAST CALL, I WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS HAVE BEEN ORDERED, BUT HAVE NOT COME IN. THEY WILL CALL ME WHEN THEY RECEIVE THEM. IN THE MEANTIME, AM I SUPPOSED TO QUIT DIVING THIS VEHICLE? WHY HAS BOTH THE NHTSA AND HONDA LEFT ALL OF US IN THESE CIRCUMSTANCES.

TODAY, HONDA CORPORATE'S RESPONSE TO MY PLEA WAS TO DISMISS ME WITH NO REASONABLE REMEDY. THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO HELP ME TRADE IN MY 2011 FOR A 2012 SO THAT I REPLACE MY BUSINESS DELIVERY. TAKATA RECALL: IT HAS BEEN 3 MONTHS SINCE NOTICE OF THE RECALL. NEITHER AMERICAN HONDA NOR THE DEALER HAVE BEEN HAVE TO REMEDY THE DEFECT WITHIN A REASONABLE PERIOD OF TIME.
MY 2011 HONDA CR-V IS PART OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL. I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM HONDA AT THE END OF MARCH 2016. IT IS NOW MAY 21, 2016. I HAVE REQUESTED THAT AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO. INC. AND RAY LAKS HONDA IN ORCHARD PARK NY (THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR) FIX THE DEFECT. THEY HAVE NOT.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE GOTTEN YET ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE AND TO DATE I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY HONDA ABOUT MY PREVIOUS INQUIRIES ABOUT FIXING THE AIRBAGS. MOST OF MY MAINTENANCE IS DONE AT THE HONDA DEALER AT 621 BATTLEFIELD BLVD IN CHESAPEAKE VA AND AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES LAST YEAR WHEN VISITING FOR MAINTENANCE I ASKED ABOUT THE AIRBAG RECALL AND WAS TOLD THE PARTS WERE STILL ON BACK ORDER AND I WOULD BE CONTACTED WHEN THEY ARRIVED. TODAY'S RECALL NOTICE SAYS TO FILE A COMPLAINT IF YOUR LOCAL HONDA DEALER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO MAKE REPAIR WITHIN 60 DAYS OF INITIAL CONTACT.
AS INSTRUCTED IN THE RECALL LETTER I RECEIVED, I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER. I SPOKE TO SAM IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I EXPLAINED MY CONCERN ABOUT THE AIR BAG RECALL LETTER AND TOLD HIM THAT I WAS FEARFUL OF DRIVING MY CAR AS THE LETTER STATED THAT I COULD DIE IF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. HE ASSURED ME THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL BACK TODAY. I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO CALL AGAIN THEY WERE CLOSED. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING MY CAR AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT MY NEXT STEP IS.

"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM HONDA IN MARCH 2016 STATING THEY WOULD NOT HAVE THE PARTS FOR MY CAR UNTIL SUMMER 2016. I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE AND HAVE GOTTEN A RENTAL FROM MY DEALER. THEY GAVE ME A FORD FOCUS WHICH I AM NOT HAPPY WITH. I HAD TO PUT MY NAME ON A LIST FOR A SUV. I FEEL THIS IS NOT BEING HANDLED IN A TIMELY MANNER BY THE HONDA CORPORATION. I ALSO DON'T TRUST EVEN DRIVING MY CAR AFTER THEY FIX IT. IS THERE ANY OTHER ACTION I CAN TAKE. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS BECAUSE I DRIVE MY GRANDCHILDREN IN THIS VEHICLE. AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE GIVEN. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
TAKATA RECALL HONDA REFUSES TO ASSIST ME WITH THIS RECALL. THEY HAVE NO LOANER FOR ME AT THE DEALERSHIP AND WOULDN'T "ALLOW" ME TO USE IT IF THEY DID BECAUSE I HAVE A PET AND THEY DON'T ALLOW PETS IN THEIR VEHICLES. THEY HAVE PAID FOR A RENTAL THAT ALSO DOES NOT ALLOW PETS AND REFUSE TO PAY FOR THE ASSOCIATED PET FEES WITH IT AND GET'S TERRIBLE GAS MILEAGE. THIS HAS IMPEDED MY ABILITY TO WORK AS I HAVE NO WAY TO BRING MY DOG ON JOBS WITH ME ANY LONGER AND CAN'T PAY FOR DAYCARE FOR HIM. ADDITIONALLY, HONDA REFUSES TO SUSPEND OFF MY CAR PAYMENTS TEMPORARILY, SO I'M PAYING FOR A VEHICLE I CAN'T DRIVE. HONDA HAS TOLD ME I NEED TO TAKE "PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY" ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. ME. I DO. THE CONSUMER WHO PURCHASED THEIR ROLLING DEATH MACHINE. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH AGENTS AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND AT HONDA'S CALL CENTER (AARON, SAHARA, WINONA). WINONA WAS BOLD ENOUGH TO TELL ME THAT THIS IS MY PROBLEM SINCE I ENCOUNTERED FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES LAST YEAR AND EVEN INQUIRED TWICE AS TO WHY I WAS IN DEBT. THE AUDACITY HAS BEEN ASTOUNDING.

I RECEIVED A SAFETY NOTICE FOR AN AIR BAG RECALL 3/22/2016. THE RECALL STATED THAT THE AIR BAG COULD KILL ME IF DEPLOYED AND THAT THE PARTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE END OF SUMMER 2016. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED HONDA AND THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT MY DEALER, SO I DID. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT TRYING TO GET A RENTAL FROM MY DEALER FOR TWO WEEKS, THEY KEEP TELLING ME THEY HAVE NO CARS AVAILABLE. SO I CALLED HONDA BACK AND THEY TOLD ME I NEED TO BE CONTACTING MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS IN MY AREA TO TRY TO GET A RENTAL. SO NOW IM IN CONTACT WITH ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHO CANNOT PUT ME IN A SUBSTITUTE CAR. SO IN THE MEANTIME IM DRIVING AROUND IN A DEATHTRAP. I FEEL LIKE IVE RUN OUT OF OPTIONS. PLEASE HELP!! OIL CONSUMPTION PROBLEM - TOOK MY CAR IN FOR ROUTINE OIL CHANGE. 96662 MILES. OIL LIFE AT 15% PER MANUAL OIL MAINTENANCE. EXCLUSIVE HONDA (NOT A DEALER) FOUND NO OIL IN MY CAR. SENT ME TO A HONDA DEALER IMMEDIATELY TO TAKE CARE OF. SINCE THEY ARE NOT A HONDA DEALER THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO MY CAR OR MAY NEGATE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE HONDA DEALER FOUND A SEAL OIL LEAK STATED IT WAS PROBABLY DUE TO THE HIGH MILES. I WENT BACK AFTER 1000 MILES PER THE REQUIREMENTS FOR OIL CONSUMPTION PROBLEM. I FELT THAT WASN'T AN ISSUE SINCE MY WIFE HAD ANOTHER CAR AND I HARDLY HAD PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE. I RECENTLY RECEIVED NOTICE THAT MY DRIVER AIRBAG IS NOW IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT AND SINCE MOVING TO SAN DIEGO AFTER THE BIRTH OF MY DAUGHTER MY WIFE AND I NOW USE THE THE SAME CAR WITH MY DAUGHTER IN HER CAR SEAT. THIS RECENT NOTICE WAS DISCONCERTING SO I TOOK IT UPON MYSELF TO CALL AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO. DIRECTLY TO SECURE TEMPORARY ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION PER THEIR RECALL NOTICE.
