THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON FOR NO REASON INDICATING TIRE PRESSURE IS INCORRECT. WHEN I CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURE IT IS CORRECT. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES DURING 2014. *TR
THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPER DRAGS WATER ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DURING THE RETURN SWIPE FROM THE SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD BACK TO CENTER, OBSTRUCTING MY VIEW WHEN DRIVING. THE HARDER IT RAINS, THE WORSE THE OBSTRUCTION IS. I'VE TAKEN VIDEO WITH MY PHONE AND GIVEN IT TO THE DEALER. THEY CHANGED OUT THE WIPER BLADE IN CASE THAT WAS THE PROBLEM, BUT IT CONTINUES. IT IS VERY BAD DURING HEAVIER RAINS AND WHEN DRIVING AT FASTER SPEEDS. IT SEEMS TO BE WORSE AT DRIVING SPEEDS OVER 40 MILES PER HOUR. IT HAPPENS GOING STRAIGHT AND ON TURNS. IT STARTED WHEN THE CAR WAS BRAND NEW, BUT I JUST LEARNED ABOUT THIS SITE WHILE FOLLOWING UP ON A RECALL NOTICE I RECENTLY RECEIVED IN THE MAIL.
I BOUGHT MY NEW 2014 HONDA CRV DIRECT FROM DEALER. AFTER THREE DAYS I BROUGHT BACK THE CRV BECAUSE THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WENT ON. I BROUGHT IT BACK TO DEALER AND SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE COLD WEATHER.. THEY RESET THE GUIDE. OK FOR THE NEXT TWO DAYS, THEN IT WENT BACK ON AGAIN. I BROUGHT IT BACK AND WAS TOLD THAT HONDA WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND THAT THEY WERE WORKING ON A FIX... THAT WAS BACK IN DECEMBER!!! THIS IS A BRAND NEW 2014!!! I ASKED THE SERVICE MAN TO WRITE THAT DOWN FOR ME, SO I HAVE IT ON RECORD. AS OF TODAY, JANUARY 30TH, MY LIGHT REMAINS ON. I WOULD LIKE TO ADD, THAT I HAD A FLAT TIRE AND WAS STUCK ON THE ROAD AT NIGHT...BECAUSE I DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE TIRE LIGHT ON MY DASHBOARD!!!!!!! I WANT THIS FIXED! I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING A SAFE RELIABLE CAR ..HONDA HAS A GOOD REPUTATION, ... SOMEONE DROPPED THE BALL, AND THE AMERICAN CONSUMER IS PAYING THE PRICE!!! PLS... PLS FIX THIS PROBLEM. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER CAUSES VISIBILITY PROBLEMS WHEN IT COMES BACK TO THE CENTER. THE RAIN WAS MILD TO MODERATE AND THE WIPER PUSHED THE WATER TO THE SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD, AS EXPECTED, THEN AT IT RETURNED TO THE CENTER, IT PULLED WATER BACK OVER THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD SO THAT I COULD NOT SEE. IS THERE A RECALL FOR THE WIPER SYSTEM? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING ABOVE 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD VIBRATE ABNORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT ALL FOUR WHEELS NEEDED TO BE BALANCED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MECHANIC THEN PERFORMED A DYNAMIC BALANCE TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
HAPPENED A FEW WEEKS AFTER VEHICLE PURCHASE, TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT WOULD COME ON ALL OF A SUDDEN. I RESET IT PER THE OWNERS MANUAL AND WOULD HAPPEN A FEW MORE TIMES AND HAVE BEEN FINE UNTIL THE MOST RECENT BASIC SERVICE AT HONDA OF SERRAMONTE. LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND I RESET IT, SO FAR IT'S BEEN FINE. HAPPENED EARLY THIS YEAR, A GRINDING NOISE COULD BE HEARD ALMOST EVERY MORNING WHILE STARTING THE CAR. DOES NOT HAPPEN LATER ON IN THE DAY. TOOK VEHICLE TO HONDA OF SERRAMONTE AND LEFT VEHICLE THERE SO THEY COULD TEST IT IN THE MORNING. NEXT DAY IN THE AFTERNOON I WENT TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE, SERVICE REP WAI WONG WHO ASSISTED ME SAID TECHNICIAN DID NOT HEAR THE SOUND. SHE TOLD ME THERE ARE A FEW CASES OF THIS PROBLEM SO FAR. I ASKED HER FOR A SERVICE REPORT FOR MY RECORDS, SHE SAID IT IS NOT REQUIRED BECAUSE NO WORK WAS PERFORMED ON MY VEHICLE. SO I ASKED IF THE GRINDING NOISE WOULD DAMAGE THE ENGINE, SHE PROMISED VERY CONFIDENTLY THAT SHE IS POSITIVE THE ENGINE WOULD NOT BE DAMAGED BY THE GRINDING NOISE. IT HAS STILL BEEN MAKING THIS GRINDING NOISE FROM TIME TO TIME IN THE MORNINGS ONLY. ALSO, WITH A PASSENGER SITTING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, THE AIRBAG OFF LIGHT WOULD TURN ON FROM TIME TO TIME. I'VE CHECKED ONLINE FOR ANY RECALLS RELATED TO THE ABOVE THREE ISSUES I AM HAVING WITH MY VEHICLE, BUT SO FAR NONE TO DATE.

THE CONTACTED CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE FOR ALL FOUR TIRES, OF WHICH WERE FOUND TO BE AT THE RECOMMENDED PRESSURE READING. THE CONTACT SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 350. THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) WARNING LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY. TOOK CAR TO DEALER WHO CHECKED TIRES AND DID NOT FIND A PROBLEM. DEALER RESET/RECALIBRATED TPMS BY PRESSING BUTTON. DROVE CAR FOR ANOTHER 300 MILES AND TPMS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. PERSONALLY CHECKED PRESSURE IN ALL TIRES WITH A MANUAL TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE. ALL FOUR TIRE PRESSURES WERE WITHIN SPEC AT 33 PSI. I RESET/RECALIBRATED THE TPMS BY PRESSING BUTTON. READ ON THE INTERNET THAT OTHER 2014 HONDA CR-V OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. HONDA DOES NOT HAVE A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. THE TPMS WARNING CAN NOT BE RELIED ON BECAUSE IT GIVES FALSE INDICATIONS. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE TPMS ON THE 2014 HONDA CR-V IS AN INDIRECT SYSTEM. THERE ARE NO ACTUAL PRESSURE SENSORS. IT USES THE WHEEL SPEED/ROTATION SENSORS TO DETERMINE WHEN THERE IS A TIRE PRESSURE PROBLEM. THE COMPUTER INDICATES A PROBLEM BASED ON DIFFERENT SPEEDS/ROTATION OF THE WHEELS. I DON'T KNOW IF THE SENSORS ARE THE PROBLEM OR IF IT IS THE COMPUTER SOFTWARE. *TR
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM IS INOPERATIVE AS WARNING LIGHT STAYS LIT CONSTANTLY. WARNING LIGHT CAME ON IMMEDIATELY UPON DRIVE HOME FROM DEALER WITH BRAND NEW CAR. NO ADJUSTMENTS OR RE-SETTING WILL PREVENT LIGHT FROM GOING ON. RETURNED TO DEALER TWICE (DCH HONDA OLD BRIDGE NJ) TO NO AVAIL. 2014 HONDA, CRV, AWD VIN#[XXX] PURCHASE ' NOV.7 2013 OWNER:[XXX]. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: PROBLEM: DRIVER SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT WHEN SET DOES NOT HOLD POSITION WHEN DRIVING. SEAT WILL GO ALL THE WAY DOWN WHEN I DRIVE AND THE VISION TO SEE FORWARD IS UNABLE TO JUDGE OVER FRONT OF THE CAR UNTIL THE HANDLE IS ADJUSTED AND PUMPED UP AGAIN. WE BOUGHT HONDA CR-V 2014 ON OCT 31ST 2013. WITHIN (FIRST) WEEK LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT COMES ON. I THOUGHT DEALERSHIP DIDN'T PERFORM PRE DELIVERY INSPECTION. SO I WENT THERE AND THEY SAYS LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT TRIGGERS DUE TO COLD WEATHER. THEY RESET IT. AFTER FEW DAYS/MILES AGAIN LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT COMES ON (SECOND TIME) AND THEY SAID THIS TIME WE ARE PERFORMING DIFFERENT RESET PROCEDURE. I ASKED FOR $0.00 INVOICE AS THERE ATTEMPT TO FIX THE ISSUE. THEY SAID WE CAN'T GIVE YOU INVOICE IF WE ARE NOT CHARGING YOU. NOW I WAS LIKE IT SHOULD NOT COME ON AGAIN AS THEY PERFORMED DIFFERENT RESET PROCEDURE, BUT IT COMES ON AGAIN (THIRD TIME) AFTER 500 OR 600 MILES. THIS TIME THEY CONTACT AMERICAN HONDA AND PERFORM ANOTHER RESET PROCEDURE AND KEEP CAR WITH THEM FOR A DAY TO INSPECT. THEY ALSO ISSUED $0.00 INVOICE. NOW I THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE FINE, BUT AGAIN I WAS WRONG. IT COMES ON (FORTH TIME). NOW THEY ARE SAYING IT'S "SOFTWARE ISSUE" AND AMERICAN HONDA IS WORKING ON IT. (DEC END OR JAN FIRST WEEK) THEY ALSO SAID HONDA IS REQUESTING TIME FRAME AND IT SHOULD BE DONE BY THE END OF JAN 2014. TODAY IS FEB 19 2014 AND ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED YET. I TRIED FOLLOW UP MY DEALER AND HONDA MANY TIMES AND THEY ARE KEEP SAYING SAME THING, WE ARE WORKING ON IT. SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT CAR LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT COMES ON MORE THAN 10 TIMES NOW AND ALL TIME I DID TIRE PRESSURE CHECK WITH SAME DEALER AND IT WAS OKAY ALL THE TIME. NOW I AM TIRED OF FOLLOWING UP WITH MY DEALER, HONDA AND KEEP WATCHING LIGHT (!) ON. NEVER FEEL LIKE DRIVING NEW CAR. IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE. 2014 HONDA CRV WAS DELIVERED WITH 233 MILES ON ODOMETER. WITHIN 6 MILES OF LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING (TPM) LIGHT HAD COME ON INDICATING ONE OR MORE OF THE TIRES WAS LOW ON AIR. OUR SALESPERSON HAD ALREADY WARNED US ABOUT THIS DURING THE WALK THROUGH AT THE DEALERSHIP TELLING US THERE IS NO NEED FOR US TO PULL OVER BECAUSE MORE THAN LIKELY THERE IS NO PROBLEM. BEING AN INFORMED CONSUMER WE WERE ALREADY AWARE THAT HONDA HAS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THEIR TPM SYSTEM ON THE 2014 MODEL. IT SIMPLE DOES NOT WORK. IT CRIES WOLF AND CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. AFTER RESETTING THE LIGHT IT WILL CONTINUALLY RETURN AND HAVE TO BE RESET WITHIN 50 MILES OR LESS OF IN TOWN DRIVING. ALTERNATELY WE RESET IT BEFORE A 240 MILES ROUND TRIP HWY DRIVE AND THE TPM LIGHT DID NOT COME ON DURING THE ENTIRE HWY TRIP. THE PURPOSE OF THE GOVERNMENT MANDATING TPM IN ALL NEW CARS WAS TWO FOLD. FIRST FOR FUEL ECONOMY, SECOND FOR SAFETY. SINCE THE TPM LIGHT PROVIDES FALSE ALARMS EVERY WEEK, IT DOES NOT ACCOMPLISH EITHER GOAL. WE HAVE HAD NO FORMAL RESPONSE FROM HONDA ACKNOWLEDGING THERE IS A PROBLEM OR THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON A FIX. I PURCHASED BRAND NEW HONDA CR-V 2014 IN OCT 2013 AND WITH IN TWO WEEKS I SEE A TPMS LIGHT ON AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, ASKED THEM CAR WAS NOT EVEN A MONTH OLD AND MILEAGE WAS AROUND 450 AND I GOT MY TPMS LIGHT ON. THEY SAID SOME TIRE PRESSURE IS LOW AND NOT CORRECT AND MANUALLY SET THE TPMS LIGHT AND AFTER A WEEK'S TIME I GOT THE LIGHT AGAIN -TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE SAME THING AND MANUALLY RESET THE TPMS AND CYCLE STARTED AGAIN - AFTER A WEEK I GOT THAT LIGHT ONCE MORE AND UNTIL NOW IT'S BEEN 8 TIMES I HAVE BEEN TO DEALER AND HE DON'T HAVE A GENUINE REASON AND KEEPS TELLING THIS IS COMMON FOR ALL 2014 CR-V'S. I BOUGHT A NEW HONDA CRV 2014 MODEL ON 10/04/2013. ON 10/24/2013, I WORE FLIP FLOPS WHILE GOING TO PICK UP MY SON FROM THE SCHOOL, WHICH IS 5 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOME. MY LEG GOT STUCK AND I COULDN'T MOVE MY LEG FROM GAS PEDAL TO APPLY BRAKES, AS I ENTERED THE SCHOOL PREMISES. CAR STARTED TO ACCELERATE AS MY FLIP FLOP GOT STUCK IN THE GROOVE BETWEEN PLASTIC AND METAL TRIM NEXT TO THE GAS PEDAL. I SWERVE OF THE ROAD AND HIT A TREE TO AVOID COLLISION WITH THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I THINK THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE WAY THE TRIM IS DESIGNED IN HONDA CRV 2014 MODELS. IF SOMEONE WEARING A FLIP FLOP?S WHILE DRIVING, IT CAN GET STUCK IN THE TRIM AND CAUSE FATAL ACCIDENTS. I DIDN?T SEE THIS ISSUE IN OLDER MODEL YEARS OF CRV. MY FAMILY IS TRAUMATIZED BY THE ACCIDENT AND VERY SCARED TO SIT OR TRAVEL IN THE CAR. I WAS FORTUNATE TO COME OUT OF IT WITHOUT ANY MAJOR INJURIES BUT THIS MAY NOT BE THE CASE FOR OTHERS. *TR
THE TPS INDICATOR LIGHT HAS BEEN ON ALMOST SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE CAR. DEALER SAYS TIRE PRESSURE IS OK, BUT AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER, THE LIGHT WILL COME ON AGAIN. IT IS VERY ANNOYING DOES NOT OFFER A SENSE OF SECURITY AND SAFETY. TWO DAYS AFTER PURCHASE HAD CAR INTO CLINTON HONDA IN ANNANDALE, NJ FOR TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT. (MILEAGE 143). CLINTON HONDA FOUND ALL TIRE PRESSURES GOOD AND RESET LIGHT. LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON ABOUT 3 TIMES WEEKLY EVEN THOUGH TIRE PRESSURES WERE GOOD. WENT TO RAY PRICE 12/28/13 (MILEAGE 5027) AND EXPLAINED SITUATION. RAY PRICE RAN CODES, WHICH ALL CAME UP CLEAR AND THEY RESET THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT AGAIN. NEXT DAY, THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. 1/4/14 BACK TO RAY PRICE, TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ON AGAIN. RAN CODES AGAIN AND CHECKED TIRE PRESSURE AGAIN, BOTH WERE GOOD. THE TECH SAID IT MUST BE A RF SIGNAL AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE ABOUT IT. I CONTACTED AMERICAN HONDA 1/30/14 AND 1/31/14 ABOUT ISSUE. AMERICAN HONDA STATED THAT THEY ARE AWAITING A SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR THIS ISSUE. SOFTWARE UPDATE SHOULD BE RELEASED BY END OF FEBRUARY, BUT NO GUARANTEES. THE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON CLOSE TO 90% OF THE TIME SINCE WE HAVE OWNED THE CAR. ONCE THE LIGHT COMES ON IT NEEDS TO BE RESET BECAUSE IT WILL NOT GO OUT ON ITS OWN. HAVING THE TIRE PRESSURE COMING ON FALSELY CONSTANTLY IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. RAY PRICE CONTACTED ME ON 2/12/14 STATING THAT THE SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS AVAILABLE AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO BRING THE CAR IN ON 2/14/14. AFTER RECEIVING THE CAR FROM THE APPOINTMENT I CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE AND THE TIRES WERE OVERINFLATED BY THE DEALER TO 35 PSI INSTEAD OF THE MANUFACTURES RECOMMENDED 30 PSI. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE THEIR QUICK FIX FOR THE ISSUE AND NOT AN ACCEPTABLE RESOLUTION. OVERINFLATED TIRES MAKE YOUR VEHICLE RIDE HARSHLY, ARE MORE PRONE TO ROAD HAZARDS, WEAR UNEVENLY. THIS IS RIGHT OUT OF HONDAS OWNERS MANUAL. MY MECHANIC ALSO SAYS THAT THIS ALSO INCREASES THE CHANCES OF HYDROPLANING. *TR
BOTH THE LOW AND HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON THIS BRAND NEW CAR ARE VERY DIM. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. THE DEALER WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY SUGGESTED I COULD PUT AFTERMARKET REPLACEMENTS ON AS HONDA DOES NOT HAVE BETTER HEADLIGHTS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TPMS WAS CAUSING THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE RECURRINGLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHO MADE AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE TPMS BUT DID NOT REMEDY THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THEY WOULD LOOK INTO IT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
2014 HONDA CR-V. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO A DEFECTIVE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER DRIVING OFF THE LOT, WITH HIS NEW VEHICLE, THE TPMS INDICATOR CAME ON. HE RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE SYSTEM WAS RESET. HOWEVER, THE NEXT DAY, THE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN. AFTER SEVERAL TRIPS BACK AND FORTH TO THE DEALER TO FIX THE PROBLEM (TO NO AVAIL), HE WAS INFORMED THE CONDITION WAS A KNOWN DEFECT IN SOME MODELS AND HONDA ENGINEERS WERE AWARE OF IT. HONDA INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THEY WERE DILIGENTLY WORKING ON THE PROBLEM. SOMETIME IN MARCH, THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A CALL FROM HONDA, ADVISING HIM THE PROBLEM WAS IDENTIFIED AND HE SHOULD RETURN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR A SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD. HOWEVER, THE FIX DID NOT WORK. *JB
THE TPMS ICON (LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING) ON NEW HONDA CR-V (2014) COMES ON ABOUT EVERY 30-50 MILES EVEN THOUGH, WHEN I CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURES, THEY ARE ALL WITHIN 0.5 PSI OF THE RECOMMENDED (30 PSI) SETTINGS. IN SHORT, THE TPMS IS GIVING FALSE WARNINGS THUS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO RELY ON. OTHER HONDA CRV OWNERS, HAVING THE SAME FLAW, HAVE GIVEN UP ON THE WARNING AS HAD TIRE BLOWOUTS ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND HE SIMPLY RESETS THE TPMS WARNING ICON ---- AND, AS SOON AS I DRIVE 30 MILES OR SO THE IDIOT LIGHT COMES ON. THE PURPOSE OF MANDATING THE TPMS WARNING WAS TO SAVE LIVES BUT, IF THE ICON PROVIDES FALSE WARNINGS THEY WILL BE IGNORED AND BLOWOUTS CAN HAPPEN. THIS DEFECTIVE TPMS CAN RESULT IN INJURIES AND ACCIDENTS. YET HONDA WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. *TR

ONCE THE VEHICLE WOULD REACH THIRD GEAR, IT WOULD NOT DECELERATE AND WOULD ONLY ACCELERATE INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BE DIAGNOSED WHERE THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO DEFECT WITH THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURE WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. PURCHASED CAR IN SEPT 2013 WITHIN A WEEK THE TPM LIGHT CAME ON. STOPPED BY THE DEALER, THEY CHECKED THE TIRES (THEY WERE FINE) AND SHOWED ME HOW TO RESET IT. WITHIN 20 MILES LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. WENT BACK TO DEALER...REPEAT MULTIPLE TIMES. IN OCT DEALER SWAPPED OUT TIRES WITH ANOTHER SET THINKING IT MAY FIX THE PROBLEM. LIGHT BACK ON WITHIN 50 MILES. CAR BACK TO DEALER, THEY FIDDLED WITH IT A BIT, TEST DROVE IT OVER 100 MILES, NO LIGHT. I PICKED IT UP, LIGHT BACK ON BEFORE I ARRIVED HOME. COMPLAINED AGAIN. WAS TOLD "HONDA IS WORKING ON IT"....NOV/DEC JUST CONTINUED TO RESET LIGHT. STARTED TRACKING IT- USUALLY GOES ON WITHIN 1 MILE OF SAME PLACE ON FREEWAY, SPEEDS 45-57 MPH, 27-45 DEGREES. WAS TOLD IN NOV (?) THAT A SOFTWARE FIX WAS IN THE WORKS EXPECTED ETA JAN/FEB. MARCH 2014 STILL HADN'T HEARD ANYTHING UNTIL I READ ABOUT A "FIX" ON THE HONDA OWNERS WEBSITE. CALLED DEALER, THEY HADN'T HEARD BUT LOOKED INTO IT AND WAS TOLD BY HONDA THAT IT ONLY WORKED ON APPROX. 10% OF CARS AND WASN'T REALLY A FIX. HAVE OWNED CAR FOR OVER 6 MONTHS NOW, LIGHT CONTINUES TO GO ON AT RANDOM. WHAT'S THE POINT OF A "SAFETY FEATURE" WHEN IT ONLY CRIES "WOLF"? THE DESIGN IS DETRIMENTAL TO A SHORT PERSON'S (62 INCH & UNDER) SAFETY. THE STARRING DOES NOT GO DOWN FAR ENOUGH FOR THE DRIVER TO SEE THE ROAD. ALSO THE DRIVER SEAT IS TILTED AWAY FROM STARRING WHEEL. THE HEADLIGHT BEAM ENDS BEFORE THE DRIVER CAN SEE THE ROAD. I COMPLAINED BUT THEY DID NOT TAKE ANY ACTION TO EVEN CHECK. IF THE STARRING WHEEL CAN BE PUSHED FURTHER DOWN AND THE LENGTH OF THE HEADLIGHT BEAM COULD BE EXTENDED FURTHER THE DRIVER WOULD NOT SEE A DARK ROAD AHEAD OF HIM/HER. IT IS A CRASH WAITING TO HAPPEN. PLEASE REVIEW THIS . I WILL BE GLAD TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. HONDA, AS USUAL, DOES NOT ADMIT AND FIX THE SAFETY ISSUES BROUGHT TO THEM.
OUR TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SINCE WE PURCHASED (SEPT 2013) THE VEHICLE. IT CAME ON AS WE LEFT THE DEALER SHIP. WE HAVE HAD IT IN THE HONDA DEALERSHIPS SERVICE DEPT 3 TIMES IN OAKLAND AND EACH TIME THEY RESET IT AND TELL US "HONDA IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE" AND IT IS A "SOFTWARE ISSUE" THAT IS BEING ADDRESSED. WE WERE TOLD WE WOULD GET A RECALL NOTICE AFTER THE FIRST OF THIS YEAR (2014). HONDA IS NOT DISCLOSING THE SAFETY ISSUE OF A PRODUCT THEY HAVE LABELED AS A SAFETY FEATURE. THE INTERNET SHOWS PAGES OF THE SAME ISSUE AND COMPLAINT. HONDA NEEDS TO MAKE THIS A HIGHER PRIORITY OR LAW SUITS WILL BE NEXT. WE ARE CURRENTLY WAITING STILL, NOT FEELING SO SAFE. *TR
THE DAY AFTER PURCHASE, THE TPMS (TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM) WARNING LIGHT CAME ON INDICATING A LOW TIRE PRESSURE CONDITION. I CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE, AND RECALIBRATED THE SYSTEM PER THE OWNERS MANUAL (TIRE PRESSURE WAS HIGH FROM THE DEALER (@37PSI), AND WAS RESET TO THE 30PSI FACTORY SPEC). THE LIGHT ACTIVATED AGAIN WITHIN SEVERAL DAYS. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND THEY BASICALLY DID THE SAME - TIRE PRESSURE CHECK AND SYSTEM CALIBRATION. WE HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE NOW FOR 6 MONTHS. AFTER EACH SYSTEM CALIBRATION AND RESET, THE LIGHT WILL AGAIN ACTIVATE ANYWHERE FROM 1 DAY TO APPROXIMATELY 10 DAYS - EACH TIME THE TIRE PRESSURE HAS BEEN WITHIN THE FACTORY SPECIFICATION. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER ABOUT SIX TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE, WITH NO FIX. (WE WERE TOLD HONDA WILL HAVE A FIX BY FEBRUARY, 2014). . THE (DEALER) SERVICE ADVISOR MANAGER CAN'T GIVE US ANY DEFINITIVE ANSWER ON THE PROBLEM, OR SOLVING THE PROBLEM. DRIVER WIPER BLADE IS 26 INCHES LONG. PASSENGERS BLADE IS 16 INCHES LONG. THIS SIZE DIFFERENCE LEAVES A WATER LINE ON PASSENGERS SIDE AND WAITS FOR THE DRIVERS WIPER TO REMOVE IT. THIS IS EXTREMELY ANNOYING DURING MODERATE OR HEAVY RAINFALL. I FEEL THIS IS POOR ENGINEERING ON HONDAS PART AND AN IMMEDIATE RECALL SHOULD E ISSUED. *TR
SUMMARY: MY HONDA CR-V HAS A PROBLEM WITH HESITATION DURING ACCELERATION AFTER A PAUSE (LET OFF THE GAS FOR A SECOND). THIS PROBLEM IS A FEW SECONDS DELAY BETWEEN THE TIME I LET OFF THE GAS AND THE TIME THE VEHICLE ACTUALLY ACCELERATES. I HAVE HAD TWO VERY CLOSE CALLS. THE PROBLEM OCCURS MOSTLY AROUND 15 TO 20 MPH. BUT HAS OCCURRED AT 65 MPH. AT 65 I LET OFF THE GAS, SLOWED TO 60 THEN TRIED TO ACCELERATE BUT CONTINUED TO SLOW DOWN TO 52 BEFORE THE CAR ACCELERATED. I'VE TALKED WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, MIKE SHEETS, AT OCEAN HONDA, CA. HE HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT STATES THAT THEY CAN DO NOTHING UNTIL THEY GET AN S.B. FROM HONDA. *TR
TRAVELING ON TRIP TO CALIFORNIA FROM ARIZONA AND THE TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM MONITORING LIGHT CAME ON. WE PULLED OFF AS SOON AS FEASIBLE POSSIBLE AND CHECKED PRESSURE WHICH WAS CORRECT. HAPPENED TO ME TWICE SINCE THEN AND BOTH TIMES THE PRESSURE IN ALL TIRES WAS CORRECT. LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM AS WELL. *TR
