THE HEADREST IN THE VEHICLE IS ANGLED TOO FAR FORWARD AT THE TOP TO BE COMFORTABLE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO SIT STRAIGHT UP IN THE SEAT! THE ANGLE ON THE HEADREST SHOULD BE ADJUSTABLE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TO SIT STRAIGHT UP. AS DESIGNED, IT IS FAR MORE COMFORTABLE TO EITHER REMOVE THE HEADREST OR TURN IT AROUND BACKWARDS. BOTH OF WHICH WOULD LEAD TO SEVERE HEAD AND NECK INJURIES IN A REAR END COLLISION. *TR
SINCE MAY 27TH THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT COMES ON EVERY 4-5 DAYS A WEEK. THE FIRST TIME IT OCCURRED I UTILIZED THE MANUAL TO CALIBRATE THE SYSTEM, BUT THEN IT CAME ON AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY CHECKED ALL OF THE TIRES, CALIBRATED THE SYSTEM, AND STATED THAT EVERYTHING SEEMED OKAY. ANOTHER 5 DAYS LATER THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER, THE RAN A CHECK THROUGH THE ENTIRE COMPUTER TIRE SYSTEM AND TEST DROVE IT, SO THEY SAY, BUT WHILE HEADING HOME THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON FOR THE FOURTH TIME. I AM SO SICK OF THIS. ITS VERY ANNOYING. THIS MALFUNCTION CAN BE SAFETY CONCERN IN THE LONG RUN. AFTER A WHILE, HOW DOES THE OWNER DETERMINE WHETHER THE SYSTEM IS ACCURATELY OR FALSELY REPORTING A PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLES TIRES. MY CRV CURRENTLY HAS 1800 MILES ON IT. I WILL TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AGAIN FOR THE 3RD TIME AND ASK THAT THE SENSOR BE REPLACED. *TR
THE EXTERIOR LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHTS WORK NORMALLY AS EXPECTED WHEN SWITCH IS IN LOW BEAM POSITION. THE PROBLEM IS WHEN THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTS ARE SELECTED. THE VISIBILITY PROVIDED BY THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS DISAPPEARS WHEN THE HIGH BEAMS ARE SELECTED. THE VISIBILITY ON THE HIGH BEAM SETTING IS GREAT 300 FEET FORWARD OF THE CAR BUT MINIMAL TO NONE 50 FEET IN FRONT OF THE CAR. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING ON TURNPIKES WITH A POSTED SPEED LIMIT OF 75 MPH. THE VISIBILITY ON HIGH BEAM SELECTION IS SO POOR IT FORCED ME TO USE ONLY LOW BEAMS TO SEE THE ROAD AND OBJECTS IMMEDIATELY IN FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. THIS ELIMINATED THE POSSIBILITY OF SEEING ANIMALS OR OTHER DANGERS DOWN THE ROAD THAT ARE NORMALLY VISIBLE ON THE HIGH BEAM SETTING. IT SEEMS LIKE THE LOW BEAMS ARE TURNED OFF WHEN THE HIGH BEAMS ARE SELECTED IF SO THIS IS A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW THAT AFFECTS SAFE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE. ANY OTHER VEHICLE I'VE EVER OWNED THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTS ADD MORE LIGHT TO THE LIGHT ALREADY BEING PROVIDED BY LOW THE BEAMS. THIS VEHICLE TAKES LIGHT AWAY ON THE HIGH BEAM SETTING. I HOPE NHTSA ADDRESSES THIS PROBLEM VERY SOON WITH HONDA MOTOR CORP. *TR
TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEMP (TPMS) LIGHT COME ON EVERY FEW MILES. WE HAD RESETED IT 50 TIME BY NOW. ALL SPEED & TEMPERATURES. DEALERS SERVICED THIS PROBLEM 3 TIMES SO FAR. CHECKED EVERYTHING OUT OK. CUSTOMER FORUM MENTIONED A VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL FIRMWARE "VSA/ABS SOFTWARE UPDATE" & "SB#14-006 UPDATE". DEALER APPLIED FIRMWARE UPDATE MAY 8. BUT TPMS LIGHTS STILL CAME ON. PROBLEM NOT FIXED BY THE FIRMWARE UPDATE. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,500.
TO ADD TO THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR LIST. 2014 CRV PURCHASED IN APRIL, 2014. TPMS MONITOR HAS COME ON SEVERAL TIMES. USUALLY OCCURS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WE HAVE BEEN ASSURED THAT THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED THIS TIME (@5800 MILES). THIS WILL BE TPMS COMPLAINT 35 OF A TOTAL OF 65 COMPLAINTS. I GUESS IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO EVERYONE, BUT IT DOES SEEM TO HAPPEN MUCH TOO OFTEN. SUSPECT NYS LEMON LAW IS MY NEXT OPTION. *TR
VEHICLE BECOMES UNRESPONSIVE TO STAR UP PROCEDURE W/O PRIOR INDICATION OR WARNING. HAS HAPPENED APPROX., ON 12 INSTANCES. HAVE CALLED FOR ROAD CALLED & TAKEN IT TO DEALERSHIP WITHOUT FINAL RESOLUTION. CONTACTED HONDA OF CARSON CA. FINAL RESOLVE AFTER TWO MONTHS WAS TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER FOR APPRAISAL OF SITUATION.
THE TPMS LIGHT TURNS ON REPEATEDLY. APPROX 6-8 TRIPS BACK TO TAMERON HONDA. THEY ARE WILLING, AND HAVE DONE SOMETHING "NEW" ON EACH VISIT. NOW HAS 4500 MILES AND THE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN. BACK TO SHOP FOR NEW TRIALS. HONDA MUST HAVE SOME PRETTY WEAK ENGINEERS TO NOT SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. ( NEARLY 50 COMPLAINTS AT THIS SITE ). WHEN LIGHT COMES ON. .? IS THERE A FAILURE ON A TIRE OR. THE NAGGING LIGHT AGAIN. *TR
THIS IS A SUPPLEMENT TO 10615142 FILED EARLIER. THE TPMS ON MY CR-V DOES NOT WORK. HONDA CAN NOT KEEP IT OPERATING EVEN AFTER 6-8 SHOP REPAIRS. WHILE THIS WOULD BE DANGEROUS, I AM BEGINNING TO WONDER IF THE "ELECTRONIC STABILITY SYSTEM". AND. THE "ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM". ARE ALSO INOPERABLE!!! THEY WOULD SEEM TO USE SAME "INPUTS" AS TPMS ???? THIS MAY BE FAR MORE SERIOUS THAN I FIRST THOUGHT IT WAS!!!
SINCE MY CAR WAS NEW I HAVE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE TPMS WARNING LIGHT COMING ON FOR NO REASON. IT INDICATES LOW TIRE PRESSURE IN ONE OF MY TIRES. IT IS PROVIDING A FALSE INDICATION OF TIRE TROUBLE THAT SIMPLY DOESN'T EXIST. I HAVE HAD THE CAR TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES. THEY CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE ISSUE ON HONDA FORUMS AND FOUND MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR 2014 HONDA CR-V'S.
MY HONDA CRV HAS A PROBLEM WITH HESITATION ON ACCELERATION THAT SEEMS TO BE CAUSED BY THE COMPUTER SAFETY FEATURE THAT KEEPS THE ENGINE FROM ACCELERATING OR RUNNING AWAY WHEN THE BRAKE IS APPLIED. THIS FEATURE HAS A FEW SECOND DELAY BETWEEN THE TIME THE BRAKE IS RELEASED AND THE ENGINE ACCELERATING. WHEN THIS HAPPENS WHILE PULLING INTO TRAFFIC IT COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. IF IS ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE WHILE DRIVING ON MOUNTAIN ROADS WHERE YOU NEED TO TOUCH THE BRAKES AND THEN ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO SONS HONDA, MCDONOUGH, GA TWICE AND THEY HAVE FOUND NO PROBLEM WITH THE CAR. THEY HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT STATE THAT THEY HAVE NO ANSWER ON HOW TO REPAIR IT. I HAVE WRITTEN TO HONDA REGARDING THIS PROBLEM BUT HAVE NOT HEAD ANYTHING FROM THEM. *TR
GOT IN MY CAR TODAY, TURNED IT ON, THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT INDICATOR CAME ON AND HAS STAYED ON ALL DAY. IT WILL NOT GO OFF. MY TIRES ARE NOT LOW. I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW IN DEC. 2013 FROM HENDRIX HONDA IN DAYTONA BEACH, FL. I DID NOT CONTACT THE DEALER. I STARTED BRINGING MY 2014 HONDA CR-V TO NARDY HONDA ON APRIL 12, 2014 BECAUSE THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WAS ON, ON APRIL 12TH THEY TOLD ME IT MAY NEED TO HAVE THE SOFTWARE UPDATED, HOWEVER AFTER HONDA MECHANICS SEEING THE CAR THEY DETERMINED IT WAS THE LATEST SOFTWARE AND NEEDED NO UPDATE. THEY SET THE TIRE PRESSURE AND RESET THE SYSTEMS DETERMINING THERE WERE NO LEEKS IN ANY OF THE TIRES. ON MAY 28TH IT CAME ON AGAIN, THEY SAID 1500 SEE TECH NOTES-TOPPED OFF AIR PRESSURE AND CALIBRATED TPMS ALL OK. ON MAY 30TH THEY SAID THEY UNINSTALLED THE SOFTWARE, RE CALIBRATED THE TIRES AND SET THEM BACK TO FACTORY SETTINGS. JUNE 14, 2014 AND THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AGAIN. WHEN THE TIRES WERE CHECKED TODAY THEY ALL HAD THE EXACT AMOUNT OF AIR. THERE WAS NO FLATS OR LOSS OF AIR. NOW THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN BACK FOR THE EXACT SAME ISSUE ON ALL THE FOLLOWING DATES: APRIL 12, 2014, MAY 28, 2014, JUNE 16, 2014, OCTOBER 24, 2014 CALLED HONDA CORPORATE TO REPORT PROBLEM AND SEE IF I COULD GET SOME HELP, DECEMBER 5, 2014 THEY CLAIM TO HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR GOOD AND TODAY JANUARY 5, 2015 LIGHT CAME BACK ON. I CALLED CORPORATE AND THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY AN DO OTHER THAN REFER ME TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT THE CAR. I AM ONCE AGAIN GOING BACK TO NARDY HONDA ON JANUARY 6, 2014 FOR THEM TO LOOK AT THE CAR. THIS IS DISGUSTING HOW I AM BEING TREATED. THEY CANT FIX MY CAR AND WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WANT TO REPORT THE SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS DEFICIENCY IN THE HEADLIGHTS ON OUR NEWLY PURCHASED '14 HONDA CRV. ON LOW BEAM, THE RANGE OF LIGHTING IS LIMITED TO DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WITH A DEFINED CUT-OFF LINE. ON HIGH BEAM, IT IS DIFFICULT TO ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. WE HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE PURCHASED AND REPORTED THIS WAS DANGEROUS AND WAS GOING TO CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THEY INDICATED THE HEADLIGHTS WERE FIXED AND THAT IT WAS A DESIGN ISSUE. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND IS GOING TO RESULT IN SERIOUS ACCIDENTS IF NOT RESOLVED SOON. *TR
RAPID AND UNCONTROLLED DECELERATION OF THE VEHICLE IN AN UNSAFE MANNER WHILE DRIVING.WE WERE ALMOST HIT BY THE FOLLOWING CAR.WE LOST OF ALL INSTRUMENTATION,ALL OF THE WARNINGS LIGHTS INDICATE FAILURE, SPEEDOMETER,TACHOMETER,AIRBAGS,VSA,BRAKES,ABS,ETC.. THE CAR HAS BEEN REPAIRED 4 TIMES. #1(4/4/14) REPLACED VSA MODULE AND BLEED BRAKES+ RESET CODES,#2 (4/8/14) REPLACE 2 WIRING HARNESSES AND VERIFY CONNECTIONS+ RESET CODES,#3(5/8/14) MEASURE ALL CAN BUSS VOLTAGES & DRIVE WITH METER+ RESET CODES, #4(6/10/14)DEALER THINKS THEY HAVE FOUND A LOOSE GROUND & REPLACED ECM/PCM MODULE+RESET CODES, DROVE A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES THEN RETURNED. THE LOOSE PIN MAY HAVE BEEN FROM REPLACING THE HARNESS AND REMOVING CONNECTORS MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN FOR 30 DAYS OF SERVICE COMBINED. IN 1857 MILES THE VEHICLE HAS FAILED 4 TIMES. YOU HAVE NO SPEED INDICATION WHILE DRIVING DURING AND AFTER THE EVENT. FEELS LIKE THE BRAKES COME ON OR CAR IS FORCED INTO LOW GEAR THROWING PASSENGERS FORWARD AND CAUSING FOLLOWING CARS TO EVADE THE CAR . THERE ARE MANY ERROR CODES DURING THESE EVENTS. AFTER SHUTTING THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTING CAR MULTIPLE TIMES ALL INDICATORS WILL RETURN TO NORMAL EXCEPT FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. WE HAVE PICTURES AND VIDEO OF THREE OF THE EVENTS. *TR
SHATTERED GLASS SUNROOF , OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING. SHADE GUARD PREVENTED GLASS FROM ENTERING CAR. NO FOREIGN OBJECT FOUND THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THE SUNROOF TO SHATTER.

GREETINGS - THIS IS TO REPORT MULTIPLE INCIDENTS / A PERMANENT CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE HEADLIGHTS BEING GROSSLY INADEQUATE. THE INCIDENT INDICATED HERE WAS FIRST OF MANY OCCURRENCE WHILE DRIVING ON RURAL ROADS, ESPECIALLY IN INCLEMENT WEATHER. MOST EGREGIOUS IS THAT WHEN THE HIGH BEAMS ARE ENGAGED , THERE IS A COMPLETE LOSS OF NEAR -FIELD LUMINANCE. THIS IS GREATLY EXACERBATED IN INCLEMENT WEATHER AND UNDOUBTEDLY A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN IF IT HASN'T ALREADY. I HAVE DRIVEN ON THE SAME ROADS AND IN THE SAME OR WORSE CONDITIONS MANY TIMES WITH VEHICLES I HAVE PREVIOUSLY OWNED WITH FAR LESS PROBLEMATIC VISIBILITY. REGULAR LOW-BEAM ACTIVITY IS INADEQUATE AS WELL ON UNLIT OR LOW-LIT ROADS. ON MAY 26TH I WAS IN RURAL AREA THAT I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IN FOR 15 YEARS FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER DARK IN THIS VEHICLE. THE LACK OF VISIBILITY WAS SHOCKING. THE FEAR OF A DEER OR OTHER ANIMAL CROSSING THE VEHICLE'S PATH UNSEEN WAS GO TREMENDOUS CONCERN. THIS IS A WIDELY REPORTED ISSUE ON INTERNET FORUMS AND A RECALL SHOULD BE DEMANDED. *TR
TPMS LIGHT IS ON AGAIN FOR ABOUT THE 5TH OR 6TH TIME SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE 3 WEEKS AGO. HAVE ATTEMPTED TO RESET PER THE VEHICLES MANUAL, PUT CAR IN PARK, TURN ON, PUSH THE TPMS BUTTON, WILL FLASH TWICE AND THEN DRIVE FOR 30 MINUTES AT A SPEED OF BETWEEN 30 AND 60 MPH. I DID THIS AND APPARENTLY THE VEHICLE STILL DID NOT CALIBRATE. NEW CAR, TOTALLY FRUSTRATED ESPECIALLY TO SEE THAT THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE. I WILL TAKE TO DEALER AGAIN TOMORROW MORNING. *TR
TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR LIGHT COMES ON INDICATING THERE IS A PROBLEM WHEN THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. HONDA INSTALLED A SOFTWARE UPDATE WHICH FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR A WEEK AND A HALF AND THE LIGHT IS BACK ON. ALL PRESSURES ARE WITHIN TOLERANCE. *TR

THE TPM WENT ON INDICATING LOW TIRE PRESSURE. DEALER CHECK: ALL TIRES OK, RESET TPM. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES SINCE, IT'S BACK ON AS THIS DATA IS BEING ENTERED. A SEARCH ON-LINE INDICATES THAT MANY 2014 OWNERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM (ONE WEB SITE: HTTP://WWW.CARPROBLEMZOO.COM/HONDA/CR-V/2014/2014-HONDA-CR-V-TIRE-PROBLEMS.PHP) . THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE OWNERS CAN'T TRUST THE TPM SYSTEM: IS A TIRE GOING FLAT, OR IS THE TPM MALFUNCTIONING AGAIN. THIS IS ONLY FOR 2014 (AND NEWER?) YEARS WHEN HONDA WENT TO A NEW SYSTEM THAT MONITORS THE ROTATIONAL SPEED OF WHEELS RATHER THAN ACTUAL TIRE PRESSURE. THANKS *TR
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON EVEN THOUGH THE AIR PRESSURE IN THE TIRES IS AT THE RECOMMENDED PRESSURE. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY, MANY TIMES. FIRST TIME I HAD THE CAR ONLY TWO DAYS. THE DEALER "RECALIBRATED" THE SYSTEM. THAT STILL DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY ADMITTED THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM.
I STOPPED THE CAR BUT THE CAR KEPT GOING OUT INTO TRAFFIC. LATER THAT DAY, I PRESSED THE BRAKES AND HAD TO STAND UP ON THE BRAKES TRYING TO STOP THE CAR AND THE CAR KEPT MOVING. CAR IN FRONT OF ME HAD TO GET OUT OF MY WAY. THE CAR BEHIND ME HAD NO PROBLEM STOPPING. IN ADDITION TO THAT TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR CONSTANTLY COMES ON. NOT A GOOD DESIGN OR VEHICLE. WASTED MY MONEY. VEHICLE WAS RECOMMENDED BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY AS BEING SAFE. I DON'T SEE IT. HELP. *TR

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM HAS NOT WORKED PROPERLY SINCE BEFORE I TOOK THE VEHICLE OFF THE LOT. DESPITE MULTIPLE CHECKS, THE LIGHT DOES NOT SEEM TO STAY OFF AND HAS NO RELATIONSHIP TO THE ACTUAL PRESSURE OF THE TIRES. THE TIRE PRESSURE ITSELF SEEMS FINE. I HAD THE DEALER CONDUCT A SOFTWARE UPGRADE ON 3/30/14 AND THE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON THREE TIMES SINCE. THE DEALER IS SUSPECTING THAT CELL PHONE INTERFERENCE IT A POSSIBLE CULPRIT. *TR
THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE/SOUND AT COLD START. VEHICLE IS GARAGED BUT DURING THE COLDER WEATHER MONTHS, THE STARTER HAS A TERRIBLE GRINDING SOUND. THIS OCCURRED WITH ONLY ABOUT 1200 MILES PUT ON THE CAR. IT WAS PURCHASED NEW IN MID-DECEMBER, 2013 (2014 MODEL) AND THE GRINDING SOUND FIRST OCCURRED IN LATE FEBRUARY, 2014. WAITED A FEW MORE MONTHS AND THEN CONTACTED LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP TO BRING IN THE CAR TO HAVE THEM DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THIS WAS DONE ON JANUARY 9TH, 2015. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY WERE AWARE OF SOME OTHER 2014 CRV'S HAVING SAME/SIMILAR PROBLEM AS MINE. THEY FURTHER STATED THAT THE PROBLEM IS A VTC-ACTUATOR AND THAT HONDA HAD BEEN AWARE OF IT FOR SOME TIME. I WAS TOLD THAT HONDA HAS TO RE-ENGINEER THE PART AND THAT IT HOPEFULLY BE READY BY THE SUMMER OF 2015. STILL NO WORD FROM THE DEALERSHIP ON THE STATUS OF THE RE-ENGINEERED PART BEING AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. I WILL FOLLOW UP WITH THEM TODAY.
MY HONDA CRV WAS BROKEN INTO WHILE ON VACATION IN FLORIDA. I WAS ONLY ABOUT 300 FEET AWAY FROM THE CAR BUT WAS NOT NOTIFIED BY THE ALARM. I CAME BACK TO SEE GLASS ALL OVER THE FLOOR, MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS GONE FROM THE CAR. AS A PREVIOUS OWNER OF A NEWLY PURCHASED HONDA ODYSSEY, I FELT THAT THE CAR HAD ALARM AS THE KEY HAS REMOTE LOCK AND AND UNLOCK FUNCTIONS AND THE CAR EVEN SOUNDED A FAMILIAR ARMING SOUND WHEN REMOTELY LOCKED. WHEN I WENT INTO A DEALER IN FLORIDA TO INQUIRE WHY THE ALARM DID NOT WORK, THEY TOLD ME THAT THE CAR HAD PASSIVE ALARM, WHICH MEANS THAT THE ALARM SHOULD SOUND IF THE GLASS IS BROKEN. UPON RETURNING TO NEW YORK, I WENT TO THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR AND THEY TOLD ME THE CAR HAS NO ALARM, AND THAT THE FAMILIAR SOUND IS JUST TO INDICATE TO ME THAT ALL FOUR DOORS ARE LOCKED! AT NO TIME DURING THE SALES TRANSACTION WAS I TOLD THAT THE CAR HAS NO ALARM OR THAT I NEEDED TO PURCHASE AN ALARM. *TR
THE TPMS LIGHT (LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING) ON NEW HONDA CR-V (2014) COMES ON WHEN DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS, WHEN I CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURES, THEY ARE ALL WITHIN THE RECOMMENDED SETTINGS. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY HAVE RECALIBRATED THE SYSTEM TWICE. *TR
THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOW SPEED STALL. I'VE REPORTED TO THE DEALER BUT THEY CLAIM ITS A GEARING PROBLEM. WHEN YOU ARE AT A STOP OR MAKING A LOW SPEED TURN THE GAS PEDAL DOESN'T ENGAGE IN ORDER FOR THE CAR TO MOVE. THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS IN THAT YOU MAY BE IN HARMS WAY WITH NO WAY OF GETTING OUT OF THE SITUATION. I DID TAKE MY VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER AFTER I FIRST EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM BUT THEY HAVE NO RECALLS OR FIXES FOR THE PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD CONSTANT ISSUES WITH THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING (TPMS) SYSTEM ON MY NEW CRV. THE LIGHT ILLUMINATES RANDOMLY WHEN MY TIRE PRESSURE IS FINE. IT SOMETIMES DOES NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN MY TIRE PRESSURE IS NOT FINE. IT HAS BEEN IN FOR REPAIRS 6 OR 7 TIMES AND THERE IS NO FIX IDENTIFIED YET. THE AWD ON THE 2014 HONDA CRV FAILS WHEN THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE FALLS BELOW ZERO, THE ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE THEN IS JUST A FRONT WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE. AT FIRST I THOUGHT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE SINCE THIS IS EXACTLY OPPOSITE OF HOW EVERY OTHER CAR IMPLEMENTS THIS. HOWEVER, THIS IS HOW IT IS WRITTEN IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL AND THIS IS WHAT I WAS TOLD WAS NORMAL BY MY CAR DEALER. THIS IS STUPID TO THE POINT OF BEING DANGEROUS--AN ILLUMINATED DISPLAY THAT STATES: PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF LIGHTS WHEN THE SEAT IS OCCUPIED BY AN ADULT AND THE AIR BAG IS ACTUALLY ON. AN ELDERLY OR INFIRM PERSON MIGHT SIT IN THAT SEAT AND THINK THAT THE AIRBAG IS OFF SO IT IS SAFE. A PARENT MIGHT REFUSE TO LET A CHILD SIT IN THE SEAT FOR FEAR THE AIRBAG WAS ON. DEALERSHIP REMOVED DRIVE SHAFT AND NO VIBRATION. WAS TOLD ONLY 2 CRVS IN THE STATE HAVE VIBRATION PROBLEMS. TPMS LIGHTS CAME ON 5 TIMES WITH NO EXPLANATION FROM DEALERSHIP. SENSORS CHECKED. FAN MOTOR MADE LOW, LOUD GROWLING NOISE WHEN TURNED ON IN 15 DEGREE TEMPERATURE. WAS TOLD THAT IS NORMAL. RAN THROUGH CAR WASH WITH SUN SHADE OPEN AND GLASS PANEL CLOSED. WATER DRIPPED IN. I WILL ALWAYS READ THIS SIGHT BEFORE BUYING ANOTHER CAR. I HAVE HAD CRV 2014 18 MONTHS AND BEGAN PROBLEMS AFTER 2 WEEKS. TPMS LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON EVERY FEW WEEKS. LOW BEAM LIGHTS ARE BAD AND HIGH BEAMS ARE RIDICULOUSLY TOO FAR AHEAD AND CAN'T SEE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. THE HEAD REST LEANS SO FAR FORWARD ITS UNCOMFORTABLE AND AWKWARD. ON THE INITIAL STARTUP, ON COOL TO COLD MORNINGS, THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE IN THE STARTER FOR ABOUT 1-2 SECONDS. THIS WAS A BRAND NEW CAR. THE HONDA DEALER SAYS HONDA KNOWS ABOUT IT AND IS WORKING ON A FIX. THEY SAY IT IS NOT HURTING THE CAR. IT SOUNDS AWFUL. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED. BEGAN JAN. 2014-NOW.
THE AIR TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT KEPT COMING ON FOR THE FIRST FEW MONTHS. I CANCELED OUT PER INSTRUCTIONS OF DEALER AFTER I WENT TO THEM THE FIRST THREE TIMES - THEY CHECKED PRESSURE AND FOUND IT TO BE AS IT SHOULD BE. ALSO, LOW BEAMS ON HEAD LIGHTS ARE NOT VERY BRIGHT. HI BEAMS ARE OK. WHILE DRIVING IN THE COUNTRY IN THE DARK, THE LOW BEAMS SEEM TO ONLY SHOW AREA DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. TO USE HIGH BEAMS WOULD BE DISTRACTING AND DANGEROUS FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC. PREVIOUSLY HAD ODYSSEY THAT GOT 22 MPG IN TOWN. IT HAD A 6 CYLINDER ENGINE. I THOUGHT THAT THE 4 CYLINDER CR-V WOULD DO BETTER THAN THAT, BUT DOES NOT DO BETTER IN TOWN. MOST OF MY DRIVING IS IN TOWN DRIVING. COST OF DOING REGULAR MAINTENANCE ON THE VEHICLE IS HIGH AT MY HONDA DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE INSPECTIONS AS PART OF REGULAR MAINTENANCE ARE VERY HIGH. I HAVE LESS THAN 15,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND $75 OVER AND ABOVE THE PRICE FOR THE OIL CHANGE SEEMED PRETTY STEEP TO ME. THE VEHICLE IS JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR MY NEEDS AND I LIKE SITTING HIGHER IN THE CR-V AS OPPOSED IN A SEDAN THAT SITS LOWER.
TPMS LIGHT ILLUMINATES APPROXIMATELY EVERY 700 MILES. TIRE PRESSURE WAS CHECKED AND FOUND TO BE NORMAL EACH TIME. CAR HAS 3400 MILES NOW AND LIGHT HAS ILLUMINATED 4 TIMES AND EACH TIME TIRE PRESSURE WAS FOUND TO BE NORMAL. THE LAST TWO OCCURRENCES WERE ON WET ROAD SURFACES WITH PUDDLING (MAY BE A FACTOR?). *TR
WITHIN A MONTH OF MY PURCHASE OF NEW CRV 2014 EXL, THE TPMS LIGHT TURNED ON(NEAR CHRISTMAS TIME). I GOT IT CHECKED FROM THE HONDA SERVICE CENTER, AND THEY AT FIRST RESET THE TPMS LIGHT MANUALLY, AND ASKED ME TO COME BACK IF TPMS LIGHT TURNS ON. WHICH IT DID AFTER JUST 45 MILES. THEN THEY CONFIRMED HONDA WOULD BE ISSUING A SOFTWARE PATCH FOR THIS FIX. I RECHECKED IN JANUARY BUT STILL THERE WAS NO PATCH ISSUED. I WENT TO ANOTHER HONDA SERVICE CENTER, THINKING IT MIGHT BE A SERVICE CENTER ISSUE AND THERE TOO THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING, THAT HONDA IS GOING TO ISSUE A PATCH. IN FEBRUARY WHEN I WENT FOR MY FIRST SERVICING THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING. I CHECKED BACK AGAIN YESTERDAY, BUT STILL WITH NO LUCK. IS ANYONE EVEN WORKING ON. ITS NEARLY 5 MONTHS SINCE I FIRST REPORTED THIS, BUT IT HAS GONE TO DEAF EARS. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD, NOT KNOWING WHETHER THE LIGHT IS ON DUE TO A BUG OR REALLY TIRE PRESSURE IS LOW. EVERY TIME I ASK A SERVICE CENTER REPRESENTATIVE THEY WOULD ASK WHETHER I WAS DRIVING BAD OR PUTTING THEM IN CURB OR NOT, INSTEAD OF EVEN KNOWING THE PROBLEM EXIST. THEY WILL ASK ME TO COME THERE AT THE SERVICE CENTER, INVESTIGATE, RESET IT MANUALLY, AND TELL ME THE SAME THING HONDA IS GOING TO RELEASE A FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. ACCELERATING UP TO TRAVEL SPEED ON A HIGHWAY THE WHEELS START SHIMMING WE COULD NOT CONTROL THE CAR. TALKING TO THE DEALER WHO SAID THAT THEY WHERE AWARE OF THIS AND THAT SNOW & ICE CAN PACK INTO THE RIMS CAUSING THE WHEELS TO BE UNBALANCED. I AM 70 YEARS OLD AND DO NOT THINK ITS SAFE FOR ME TO GET OUT OF THE CAR ON THE HIGHWAY TO CLEAN THE WHEELS. *TR
I BOUGHT AT 2014 CRV END OF SEPT/OCT OF 2013. UPON THE FIRST SNOW FALL I DROVE THE VEHICLE AND HAD IMMEDIATE PROBLEMS. THE CAR WAS NOT GETTING ANY TRACTION, IT WAS SLIDING AROUND GOING DOWN HILLS AND UPON TRYING TO DRIVE UP HILLS IT WOULD STOP WITHOUT EVEN TRYING TO GO UP. IT WOULD STOP AND WHEELS WOULD SPIN, THE REAR END SPUN TO THE SIDE AND I COULD NOT GET ANYWHERE. THE AMBER AWD LIGHTS CAME ON AND FLASHED, COMBINATION OF BOTH SCENARIOS. I FINALLY GOT IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP AS THE PROBLEM GOT WORSE. THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL HAS BEEN DEEMED DEFECTIVE (OVERHEATING ISSUE TO POINT OF ALMOST GLOWING AND FLUID OVERHEATED). THE OTHER PROBLEM I HAVE HAD IS THAT IF THE CAR WAS PUT INTO 1ST OR 2ND GEAR TO AID SLOWING DOWN ON A HILL, EVEN FROM A STOPPED POSITION, IT WOULD NOT RESPOND. THE CAR SPED UP GOING DOWN THE HILL IN FIRST GEAR TO APPROXIMATELY 40MPH EVEN WITH THE BRAKE ON, WHICH WOULD NOT ENGAGE AND THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES WERE ENGAGING AND NOT EVEN TRYING TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CAR BEHAVED THE SAME EVEN IF ON FLAT GROUND THAT HAD EVEN A DUSTING OF SNOW OR EVEN A LITTLE GRAVEL. THE DEALERSHIP GAVE ME A COURTESY 2014 SAME YEAR AS MINE, IT DROVE MUCH BETTER AND MUCH SAFER THAN MINE PERFORMED AFTER THE FIRST 2 DAYS. I FEEL THE CAR HAS MORE ISSUES THAN JUST THE DIFFERENTIAL AND IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD AS THE LAST 1-2 WEEKS THE CAR HAS HAD NO CONTROL IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN DRY ROADS. IT HAS ALMOST WRECKED MORE THAN ONCE DUE TO THESE ISSUES. THIS VEHICLE IS 3.5 MONTHS OLD AND HAD UNDER 10,000 MILES ON IT AND ALL OF THIS HAS GONE WRONG SINCE THE BEGINNING. *TR

I PURCHASED THE CAR IN NOVEMBER, 2013. SINCE DECEMBER, WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, THE LOW PRESSURE SENSOR LIGHT FOR THE TIRES KEEPS COMING ON (THE SENSOR HAS COME ON OVER TEN TIMES). THIS HAS NOW HAPPENED ON THREE DIFFERENT TRIPS BETWEEN SOUTHERN AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND IT SEEMS TO COME ON ABOUT EVERY 200 MILES. I HAVE GOTTEN OFF THE FREEWAY AND HAD THE TIRES CHECKED AND THEY ARE ALL OK. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES AND THEY TELL ME THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. I PURCHASED A HONDA FOR ITS SAFETY RATING. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AS I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER TO "IGNORE THE SENSOR LIGHT" UNTIL THEY GET THIS FIXED. WHAT IF THE TIRE PRESSURE REALLY IS LOW? THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SENSOR IS CONSTANTLY APPEARING ON THE DASHBOARD. THE CAR HAS LESS THEN 1,000 MILES AND THE DASHBOARD TPMS HAS COME ON OVER A DOZEN TIMES. I HAVE HAD THE CAR TIRES CHECKED FIVE TIMES AND THE PRESSURE IS FINE. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TPMS SYSTEM. I HAVE CALLED HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICES AND HAVE BEEN TOLD BY A CASE MANAGER THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG AND THE ENGINEERS ARE WORKING ON A SOFTWARE FIX. NO TIME FOR THIS FIX HAS BEEN ADVERTISED.
