THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. NEITHER THE LOCAL DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.
PURCHASED THIS USED 2015 HONDA CRV ON JULY 28, 2018, WITH ONLY 38K MILES. NOTICED SOME VIBRATION, VERY BAD ESPECIALLY WHEN AT STOP LIGHTS AFTER TWO DAYS. CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP FOUR DAYS AFTER THE PURCHASE, WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS A TSB FOR 2015 HONDA CRV'S, TSB 15-046. WASN'T TOLD THIS BEFORE THE PURCHASE. SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR CHECK UP. WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE NOT SURE WHAT IS WRONG, IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS. WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE OF $1100. WAS TOLD THAT IS NOT A GUARANTEED FIX.DID ONLINE RESEARCH. FIGURED OUT MANY 2015 HONDA CRV OWNERS HAD THE SAME ISSUE RIGHT AFTER PURCHASE. ONE OF THE LINKS IS BELOW. I CAN FEEL THE VIBRATION ON MY EARS. ANGER AND RAGE IS THE LAST THING ONE NEEDS WHILE DRIVING. THIS NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED. NOT SPENDING $1100 FOR AN UNGUARANTEED FIX ON A NEWLY BOUGHT CAR. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE AND I BELIEVE THIS TSB 15-046 NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.
TPMS LIGHT KEEP COMING ON WITH TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL. DEALERSHIP SAYS TIRES ARE FINE AND THAT I MUST BE CHECKING THE TIRES WHILE HOT AND PRESSURE WILL READ HIGHER. HONDA DID A TSB#14-006 FOR THE 2014 HONDA CR-V BUT NOTHING FOR THE 2015.
I WAS TEST DRIVING THE SUBJECT CAR IN QUESTION FROM A HONDA DEALERSHIP (SPORT HONDA IN SILVER SPRING, MD). THE CAR IS CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED AND DURING THE TEST DRIVE, WE DROVE FROM THE DEALERSHIP TO A NEARBY NEIGHBORHOOD. 5 MINUTES INTO THE TEST DRIVE WITHIN THE NEIGHBORHOOD THE BRAKES FAILED WHILE WE WERE DRIVING AT A RELATIVELY LOW SPEED (10-15 MPH). MORE SPECIFICALLY, THE BRAKES BECAME VERY MUSHY AND HAD TO BE DEPRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR IN ORDER TO INITIATE BRAKING. THE FOLLOWING DASH LIGHTS THEN BECAME ILLUMINATED: TPMS, TRACTION CONTROL, AND POWER STEERING. UPON RETURNING THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE SALESPERSON MERELY POINTED OUT THAT THE CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY. NO COMMENT WAS MADE ABOUT HOW UNSAFE THAT SITUATION WAS.

ONGOING PROBLEM WITH LOOSING POWER WHEN CHANGING LANES. HONDA REPRESENTATIVE NEVER AVAILABLE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, A LOUD SOUND WAS HEARD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (ZIMBRICK HONDA, 1601 W BELTLINE HWY, MADISON, WI 53713) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO WAIT FOR PARTS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
I HAD JUST RETURNED FROM THE GROCERY STORE WITH ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS. WE PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY AND MY 2015 HONDA CR-V EX-L WAS STOPPED AND MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. MY CAR WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING. BEFORE I COULD PUT THE CAR IN PARK, THE ENGINE SUDDENLY REVVED UP TO A VERY HIGH RPM AND LUNGED FORWARD. EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT WAS ON THE BREAK, I WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND THE CAR RAN OF TWO DIFFERENT SETS OF BUSHES BEFORE RUNNING INTO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF MY HOUSE! THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND (MAYBE LUCKILY) HER AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE AIRBAG MAY BE A TANAKA AIRBAG. I HIT MY AIRBAG WITH SUCH FORCE THAT THE AIR BEGAN TO SMOKE. MY DAUGHTER'S WAS INJURED AND SHE SUFFERED A VERY BLOODY NOSE WHEN HER HEAD HIT THE DASHBOARD. I SUFFERED BRUISES TO MY ABDOMEN. THE FORCE OF THE CRASH KNOCKED THE PLASTER OFF THE INSIDE OF MY KITCHEN AND THREW IT 10 FEET. THE STUDS WERE KNOCKED OFF THE MOORINGS. BECAUSE MY HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1929 STUDS DID NOT BRAKE AND THE DAMAGE WAS ONLY COSMETIC. IT IS LIKELY THAT THE CAR IS TOTALED AND THERE WILL BE SIGNIFICANT COSTS IN REPAIRING THE HOUSE.
I WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY IN FRONT OF MY APARTMENT BUILDING, AND MY REAR VIEW WINDSHIELD EXPLODED SPONTANEOUSLY. THERE WAS A WITNESS, WAITING FOR AN UBER, REPORTED IT AT 6:20 PM ON JUNE 1, 2018. SHE REPORTED IT TO THE CONCIERGE, WHO LOST PLED ON SURVEILLANCE VIDEO AND SAID NO ONE WAS AROUND MY VEHICLE. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS I COULD HAVE BEEN IN THE VEHICLE AND GOTTEN HURT
There is a current active class action lawsuit against Honda motors regarding the battery draining issue in Honda CRV'S. The case is in the United States District Court southern district of Iowa central division. Case # [XXX]. The lawsuit mentions Honda CRV'S dating back to 2017. My wife owns a 2015 Honda CRV that has the same exact battery draining issue. Her CRV was recalled in 2018 for a software update that was supposed to correct the issue but it didn't. Since 2018 my wife and I have had to replace the battery 3 times in 4 years. On November 16th, 2022 we replaced the battery with a new one and just 19 days later that brand new battery was dead. This Honda battery draining defect obviously goes further back than 2017. Honda dealerships along with Honda motors are aware of this problem and doing absolutely nothing about this. CAR HAS A RIDICULOUS SHAKE ON IDLE, LITERALLY FEELS AS IF THERE IS AN EARTHQUAKE GOING ON OUTSIDE, I FOUND SUPPORTING EVIDENCE THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT SOMEHOW HONDA IS GETTING AWAY WITH IT AND EVERYONE IN MOST BLOGS I'VE FOUND WHO OWN THIS VEHICLE ARE STILL WAITING FOR HELP / POSSIBLE RECALL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM HONDA. I REALLY HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP US ALL OUT AS IT'S A HORRIBLE FEELING TO BUY A CAR THEN HAVE IT DO THIS TO YOU... I FEEL STUCK. I FEEL SAD & BAD & DEPRESSED. MY CAR STALLED, IT HAD STALLED BEFORE. I MEANT TO GO IN AND HAVE THE DEALER LOOK AT IT BUT I DID NOT DO THAT. THIS VEHICLE VIBRATES IT'S STEERING WHEEL AND INSIDE THE CABIN AT 55MPH AND HIGHER MAKING IT ANNOYING, UNSTABLE AND UNSAFE.
VEHICLE SHAKES WHILE IDLE. DEALER IS AWARE OF THIS, BUT WHEN I TOOK TO THEM FOR A CHECK-UP, THEY STATED "FOUND NO ISSUES AT THIS TIME". I WOULD LIKE THIS PROBLEM FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS A VIBRATION AT LOW SPEED. THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR HAS LOUD NOISE AT 65 MILES PER HOUR. IT HAS A POPPING SOUND. VIBRATION IS AT LOW SPEED ON CITY STREETS. THE POPPING SOUND HIGHWAY SPEEDS.

I PURCHASED A USED CERTIFIED 2015 HONDA CR-V FROM A DEALER. WITHIN TWO DAYS I NOTICED EXCESSIVE VIBRATION WHEN IDLING IN DRIVE. I RESEARCHED IT AND FOUND OUT IT'S A HONDA KNOWN DESIGN FLAW. THEY ISSUE A BANDAID FIX (TSB 15-046) OF NEW ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKETS AND HEADRESTS BUT THIS DOES NOT FIX THE VIBRATION ISSUE. HONDA KNOWS ABOUT THE ISSUE BUT WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL OR ADMIT THE DESIGN FLAW AND FIX OR REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE THAT HAVE BEEN LOGGED IN. UNTIL HONDA OWNS THE ISSUE AND FIXES IT, I'M STUCK WITH A DEFECTIVE AND UNSAFE VEHICLE.
WAS ENTERING A PARKING SPACE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. JUST AS THE FRONT WHEELS WERE ABOUT TO TOUCH THE CURB THE ENGINE BEGAN TO RACE AT HIGH RPMS, JUMPING THE CEMENT CURB AND RUNNING OVER ABOUT 40 FEET OF SIDEWALK, TAKING DOWN 2 HANDICAPPED PARKING SIGNS. THE ENGINE RACED UNTIL THE CAR WAS THROWN INTO PARK AND TURNED OFF.
2015 HONDA CR-V HAS A SPORADIC PROBLEM IN GEAR ONLY AT AN IDLE. ENGINE RPM DROPS BY 100 TO 200 RPM AND EXCESSIVE VIBRATION IS FELT. HAVING THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL WHEN THIS OCCURS DOES NOT PRODUCE THE DROP IN RPM. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PLACED IN DRIVE AGAIN, THE RPM DROP CONTINUES TO BE OBSERVED. RELEASING THE BRAKE MOMENTARILY OR MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL RESTORES THE ENGINE RPM FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. A HESITATION OFF IDLE WHERE THE VEHICLE ALMOST DIES IN TRAFFIC HAS HAPPENED TWICE NOW. DEALERSHIP HAS NO AUTHORIZED CORRECTIVE REPAIRS TO PERFORM. TECH MANAGER AT DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT THE PROBLEM IS KNOWN AND DEEMED ACCEPTABLE. HAVE SCHEDULED TWO MEETINGS WITH THE HONDA DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER AND SHE HAS BEEN A "NO SHOW" BOTH TIMES. TODAY I WAITED FOR 70 MINUTES AFTER OUR APPOINTMENT TIME AND THEN LEFT THE DEALERSHIP EXTREMELY FRIUTRATED. THIS SEEMS LIKE AN ENGINE MANAGEMENT ISSUE. WHY ISN'T HONDA TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY? DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO BE INJURED BEFORE CORRECTIVE ACTION IS TAKEN?
MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT STATED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE ENGINE. A HONDA REP HAS INDICATED THAT IT COULD BE IN THE FUEL SYSTEM, AS SOMETIMES THE SIGNAL TO PUSH THE FUEL THROUGH MAY NOT REACH, RESULTING IN THE LOSS OF ACCELERATION WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PASS ANOTHER CAR OR START FROM A STOPPED POSITION.
There is an issue with the VCT actuator in all 2.4 liters engine built by Honda from 2011 to 2016. I have a 2015 Honda CRV and I am worried that it may cause a major breakdown for me on the road or a major accident due to this. I have taken my vehicle to the dealer multiple times for this issue and they refuse to fix it saying it is out of warranty and we cannot do anything. Tried calling Honda corporate customer service and they hang up on me . There are thousands of Honda owners who are suffering with the same issues. Why is there not a recall so far for this fix as Honda was able to resolve this issues with 2017 engine onward. Please look into it or if you need more information I can show you multiple Honda forums with the same complaints. Please force Honda moters Co to own the responsibility of fixing this issue as it is a manufacturing defect, not a regular wear and tear.
ENGINE VIBRATION WHEN YOU STOP AT RED LIGHT
IN EARLY 2018, AROUND THE 80K MILEAGE MARK THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR WAS DUE FOR IT'S OIL TO BE CHANGED, CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL AND IT APPEARED DRY. PURCHASED A 5 QT BOTTLE AND EMPTIED ALMOST ALL 5 QUARTS INTO THE OIL TANK. THE CAR HAD BEEN SOUNDING FUNNY FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, BUT NEVER CONSIDERED THE OIL LEVEL AN ISSUE OR THE CAUSE OF THE FUNNY SOUNDS. ONCE I FILLED THE TANK THE SOUND DISAPPEARED. HAD THE OIL CHANGED BY THE DEALERSHIP 2 DAYS LATER AND COMMENTED ON THE ISSUE. AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WAS RECOMMENDED. WENT BACK AT 1000 MILES AFTER THE OIL CHANGE AND WAS TOLD ALL WAS FINE. SKIPPED FURTHER OIL CONSUMPTION TESTING AT THIS POINT. AT THE NEXT OIL CHANGE (5K MILES LATER) WAS TOLD MY TANK WAS DOWN NEARLY 4 QUARTS. DECIDED TO GO THROUGH THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST AGAIN. 1ST TEST, DOWN 1 QUART 2ND TEST DOWN 3/4 QUART 3RD TEST DOWN 3/4 QUART. WAS TOLD BY SERVICE MANAGER THAT 1 QUART/1000 MILES, IS CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE MY HONDA STANDARDS/POLICY. A SEARCH OF THE INTERNET REVEALED THAT THERE ARE MANY OTHER 2015 HONDA CRV OWNERS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT WITH NO RESOLUTION/SATISFACTION BY HONDA. THIS ISSUE WITH EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION MAY LEAD TO PREMATURE WEAR ON ENGINE PARTS AND POSSIBLE ENGINE FIRE SINCE DEALERSHIP CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY THERE IS EXCESSIVE OIL BEING CONSUMED OR POSSIBLY LEAKING WHEN ON THE HIGHWAY.
BATTERY DIES OFTEN HAVE HAD JUMPS MULTIPLE TIMES BY AAA OR JUMPER CABLES. STARTED BACK IN SEPTEMBER 2017. BRIGHTS WILL COME ON AUTOMATICALLY, VOLUME ON RADIO WENT OUT ON SIRIUS BUT NOT ON FM OR AM WITH SCREEN DISPLAY INTACT
EXCESSIVE VIBRATION THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE WHILE STOPPED WITH VEHICLE IN GEAR. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION ISSUE
THIS CAR IS SEVERELY VIBRATING INCLUDING CAR BACK SEAT, TOYS/THINGS ON CAR BACK SEAT ARE VIBRATING AND MAKING NOISE. WHEN I FULL STOP SOMEWHERE, TRANSMISSION IS ON DRIVE MODE. CAR BEGINS TO VIBRATE TOO MUCH.
WHEN SUV IS STOPPED AT A LIGHT WITH TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE A VIBRATION BEGINS AFTER 15 SECONDS. VIBRATION IS FELT MOSTLY ON DRIVERS SIDE IN THE BRAKE PEDAL, STEERING COLUMN AND SEAT. AFTER VIBRATING FOR 15 SECONDS ENGINE RPM'S INCREASE AND VIBRATION DISAPPEARS. 15 SECONDS LATER CYCLE BEGINS AGAIN
WHEN VEHICLE IS STATIONARY IN "DRIVE" GEAR HARSH ENGINE VIBRATION "ROUGH IDLE" OCCURS
THE EXTERIOR REAR LIFT GATE DOOR SWITCH SWITCH DOES NOT OPERATE PROPERLY IN COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS (BELOW APPROX. 30 DEGREES F.). IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY IN COLD CONDITIONS THE REAR GATE CANNOT BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE. THERE IS ALSO NO EASY WAY TO OPEN THE GATE FROM THE INSIDE QUICKLY.
TRMS LIGHT IS ON FOR NOR REASON
THE SUNROOF SHATTERED. WE COULD HEAR NOISES WHILE DRIVING AS IF ICE WAS SLIDING OFF THE ROOF. EARLIER, WE THOUGH NUTS WERE HITTING THE ROOF. IN RETROSPECT, IT HAD TO BE PIECES OF THE SUNROOF AS WE WERE IN SOUTHERN LOUISIANA. NO PEOPLE WERE ON OVERHEADS OR TRAFFIC AROUND US.
TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING RESULTS IN NO POWER IN DRIVING ON HIGHWAY.COST $5,000 TO REPAIRING. COULD CAUSE ACCIDENTS IF IN TRAFFIC ON FREE WAY. MY SON AND I WERE LUCK JUST DROVE OUT OF FREE WAY TRAFFIC JAM AND OFF RAMP AND STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHT.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN MAY OF 2017. AS THE DAYS GOT SHORTER AND I WAS HAVING TO DRIVE MORE AT NIGHT I REALIZED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE NIGHT VISIBILITY WHEN TURNING. WHEN MAKING A TURN AT AN UNLIGHTED INTERSECTION YOU CAN NOT SEE AROUND THE CORNER TO MAKE A SAFE TURN. THERE IS A VERY NARROW ILLUMINATION PATTERN IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT I COULD INSTALL FOG LIGHT AND THAT WOULD HELP WITH THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A DEFINITE DESIGN FLAW ON THE 2015 MODEL OF THE CRV. I NOTICE THAT THE HEADLIGHTS WERE DESIGNED DIFFERENTLY ON THE 2016 MODEL. IS THERE A REDESIGNED HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY THAT IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS MODEL TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM? THIS CREATES A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN YOU ARE TURNING AT AREAS WHERE THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL LIGHT DURING THE NIGHTTIME HOURS.

WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY GARAGE INTO MY DRIVEWAY I WOULD PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHILE I CLOSE THE GARAGE DOOR AND PUT ON MY SEAT BELT. I WOULD THEN PUT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR TO BACK OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY BUT AT TIMES THE CAR ENGINE WOULD REV-UP AND NOT MOVE OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY. I WOULD THEN DRIVE FORWARD A FEW FEET AND THEN PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND THE CAR WOULD MOVE OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY IN A NORMAL MANNER. THIS ONLY HAPPENS A FEW TIMES A MONTH NOT EVERYTIME I BACK OUT OF MY GARAGE.

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED HOW THEY HANDLED THIS ISSUE. THEY SHOULD BE PAYING FOR THE REPAIRS AND DOCUMENTED IT AS WELL. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY DUE TO "RODENT" DAMAGE. OCTOBER 31, 2017 EXACT SAME ISSUE; HOWEVER, CAR PULLED UP ON RAMPS AT HOME AND REPAIR TO WIRING WAS DONE WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE. PHOTOS TAKE AND DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED. DEALERSHIP SUGGESTED CAR BE DRIVEN 6+ MILES TO THEM FOR REPAIR, AGAIN. IT WAS AGREED THAT ELECTRICAL TAPE WAS INSUFFICIENT FOR REPAIR. TOW TRUCK WAS CALLED AND REPAIR WAS DONE. HAPPENED UPON INFORMATION THAT HONDA USED A "SOY BASED" COATING ON WIRING ON THIS YEAR OF VEHICLE. ALSO, RODENT PROOF TAPE IS AVAILABLE. WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THIS BY DEALERSHIP NOR, WAS IT OFFERED.

HONDA DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR THIS REPAIR. I HAVE READ AND BEEN TOLD BY HONDA FOLKS THAT THIS IS DUE TO THE RECENT USE OF SOY IN THE WIRING COVERS. HONDA WILL NOT COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY OR EXTENDED WARRANTY AND YET THEY SELL A PART NO. HONDA 4019-2317 RODENT TAPE. I LIVE IN A RURAL AREA AND THIS IS MY 4TH HONDA AND NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. I HAVE THE REPAIR DOCUMENTS BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO COPY AND SEND TO YOU.

IT HAPPENS IN MULTIPLE INSTANCES- WHEN COMING TO A STOP/STOPPED IN GEAR, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY GOING ABOUT 60-70 MPH. IT FEELS LIKE THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER/IS ABOUT TO STALL OFF.
