WHEN DRIVING AND CHANGING LANES, CAR DECELERATES AND LOSES SPEED. ALMOST WAS REARENDED ON HIGHWAY DUE TO LOSS OF POWER. THE CONSUMER STATED THE ACCLERATOR PEDAL DOES NOT REGISTER FOR ABOUT 4-5 SECS, DURING WHICH TIME THE VEHICLE DECELERATES. *JS
I HAVE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL ISSUES WITH MY 2015 HONDA CR-V: 1. LUG NUT CORROSION: I HAVE HAD SEVERAL LUG NUTS REPLACED DUE TO VISUAL CORROSION AROUND THE WELDED TOP TO SIDE AREA OF THE NUT. REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY @ 36,000 MILES. 2. ENGINE / TRANSMISSION VIBRATION: LOW SPEED VIBRATION, I CAN VISIBLY SEE THE PASSENGER SEAT VIBRATE. HIGH SPEED VIBRATION ~ 70MPH, THIS IS FELT THROUGH THE SEAT AND STEERING WHEEL. REAR HATCH VIBRATION (BOOMING) ~ 55 - 60 MPH. THE DEALER HAS INSTALLED COUNTERMEASURE PARTS @ 36,000 MILES, BUT THE VIBRATION HAS GOTTEN WORSE.
DEAD BATTERY CONTINUES EVEN AFTER DEALER REPLACED. DIES SUDDENLY WHILE IN DRIVE AND ALSO AFTER JUST STARTING. (PARKING GARAGE AFTER GROCERY SHOPPING AND DRIVEWAY LEAVING TO WORK). DEALER HAS NO CLUE/RECOMMENDATION TO FIX

MY BATTERY WILL NOT STAY CHARGED. I'LL DRIVE AND PARK COME OUT AND WILL NOT START. I GET IT JUMPED AND IT STARTS RIGHT UP THE NEXT MORNING. DRIVE IT TO WORK AND 4 HOURS LATER TRY TO START AND IT WON'T START. BATTERY, ALTANATOR AND STARTER ALL CHECK OUT OK.
REAR ROTORS RUSTED, SCORED AND PADS FROZEN IN THE CALIPER. $200 TO FIX. INVESTIGATED ONLINE AND FOUND A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND HONDA WILL NOT STAND BEHIND IT. CAR IS ALWAYS GARAGED, HAS AVERAGE MILEAGE AND AVERAGE VERMONT CONDITIONS. I HAVE OWNED MANY CARS WITH REAR DISCS OVER THE YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM, NOR HAVE FRIENDS I HAVE TALKED TO. HONDA ATTRIBUTES THE RUST TO MOTHER NATURE AND THEREFORE NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. THE OBVIOUS CONCLUSION IS THAT IT IS NOT WHERE I LIVE, RATHER THE QUALITY OF THE PARTS. IN OTHER WORDS "DEFECTIVE". TROUBLE IS HONDA KNOWS IT AND WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEM. AND THE ANSWER IS TO REPLACE POOR QUALITY PARTS WITH NEW POOR QUALITY PARTS? NICE RACKET AS LONG AS THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT. AM LOOKING TO REPLACE PARTS MYSELF WITH QUALITY AFTER MARKET PARTS AT A MECHANIC'S SUGGESTION. WILL KNOW THE JOB IS DONE RIGHT THAT WAY. TERRIBLE VIBRATION WHILE IDLING IN GEAR, HONDA DID NOT INFORM ME OF A CURRENT BULLETIN THAT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR QUITE SOME TIME 15-046 FOR VIBRATION ISSUES WITH ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WHEN I PURCHASE VEHICLE. I INFORMED THEM OF VIBRATION, THEY TOLD ME NEW ENGINE STYLE IS CAUSING VIBRATION, NOTHING WRONG WITH CAR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE CONTACT FAINTED. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A PARKED VEHICLE, SCRAPED TWO VEHICLES, AND THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE STOPPED ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET. ONLY THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED AND A WHITE SUBSTANCE EMITTED INTO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS PULLED OUT OF THE VEHICLE BY TWO INDIVIDUALS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED EXTENSIVE INJURIES TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BODY (BROKEN RIBS, WRISTS, ETC.) AND THE HEAD. MEDICAL TREATMENT WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A YARD. THE CONTACT HAD NOT SPOKEN WITH A DEALER BECAUSE THERE WAS NO AIR BAG FAILURE UNTIL A CRASH OCCURRED. THE CONTACT REPORTED THE FAILURE TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND THE MANUFACTURER. ON JUNE 12TH, 2017, I PASSED OUT WHILE DRIVING AND HIT A PARKED PICKUP. I WAS TRAVELING AT 50-55 MPH WHEN I CRASHED. MY CAR PUSHED THE PICKUP BACKWARDS 33'. THE PICKUP PUSHED THE CAR BEHIND IT 8' THEN THAT CAR WAS PUSHED BACKWARD INTO ANOTHER CAR. MY CAR AND THE PICKUP WERE TOTALED. MY SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS SEVERELY INJURED. I SUSTAINED 5 BROKEN RIBS, MY LEFT WRIST WAS BROKEN ALONG WITH A BONE IN THE SAME HAND. I HAD A LARGE HEMATOMA ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY NECK AND A BASEBALL SIZE HEMATOMA ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY ABDOMEN. MOST OF MY INJURIES WAS FROM THE SEAT BELT. THERE WAS AN ABRASION ACROSS MY NECK. THE MUSCLES IN MY RIGHT CHEST WERE PULLED. ALSO THE MUSCLES AROUND MY RIGHT BREAST AND UNDER MY RIGHT ARM WERE PULLED. ON JULY 3RD , I HAD SURGERY TO REMOVE THE HEMATOMA ON MY LEFT ABDOMEN. IT WAS ATHE SIZE OF TWO FISTS. I HAVE WORN A WOUND VAC SINCE THE SURGERY AND HAVE 2-3 WEEKS TO GO. I RECEIVED A BLOW TO THE TOP OF MY HEAD. I HAD A. RISE ON MY FOREHEAD AND ALONG THE BRIDGE OF MY NOSE. I BELIEVE THE SIDE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. MY INJURIES WOULD HAVE BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY LESS HAD THE AIRBAGS PROTECTED ME. I'M REQUESTING THAT YOU INVESTIGATE WHO MADE THE PARTS FOR THE AIRBAGS AND WHY DID THEY NOT WORK.
CR-V LX 3.2L CVT TRANSMISSION14,000 MILES I SWITCHED FROM A 2007 TOYOTA RAV4 TO A 2015 HONDA CR-V, NEVER CONSIDERING THAT I'D DEEPLY REGRET THE DECISION AND BE PINING FOR MY OLD RAV SEATS, WHICH WERE QUITE COMFORTABLE. SADLY, I DIDN'T DISCOVER THE PROBLEM WITH THESE INCREDIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS UNTIL I'D ALREADY PURCHASED THE CAR FROM A PRIVATE SELLER. NOW I SUSPECT THAT THE LOW MILEAGE HAD TO DO WITH THE UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS. THERE IS ZERO LUMBAR SUPPORT OR MEANINGFUL ADJUSTMENT ON THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT SO IT'S TRULY LIKE SITTING IN A TORTURE DEVICE. AFTER 15-20 MINS OF DRIVING MY LOWER BACK STARTS TO SCREAM, MY BUTT GOES NUMB AND I EXPERIENCE TINGLING AND NUMBNESS IN MY LEG. AFTER 30-60 MINUTES OF DRIVING DEVELOP A SHARP PAIN IN MY THORACIC REGION. I'VE ATTEMPTED NUMEROUS WORK-AROUNDS IN ORDER TO MAKE A 13-HOUR CAR DRIVE, WHICH I WAS DREADING BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEMS I WAS EXPERIENCING WITH THE SEATS--JUST DRIVING AROUND TOWN. THE THOUGHT OF FACING AN ENTIRE DAY IN THE HONDA SEEMED LIKE A TORMENT. I PUT A FULL-SEAT PAD OF FOAM UNDER A SHEEPSKIN SEAT COVER. RESULT: SOFTER BUT STILL CAUSING BACK PAIN. THEN, I PUT A MEMORY-FOAM SEAT ON TOP OF THE SHEEPSKIN COVER AND INSERTED A SMALL INFLATABLE LUMBAR SUPPORT FROM RELAX THE BACK UNDER MY LUMBAR AREA. WITH ENOUGH TWEAKING OF THIS ARRANGEMENT, I'M ABLE TO DRIVE WITHOUT TOO MUCH MISERY, BUT I'M FURIOUS THAT I'VE HAD TO DO THIS MUCH JERRY-RIGGING ON A $30K CAR. FROM ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS I'VE DISCOVERED, ONLINE, ONE WOULD THINK THAT HONDA WOULD HAVE THE GOOD SENSE AND COMMON DECENCY TO CORRECT THE MYRIAD PROBLEMS WITH THEIR SEATS, BUT APPARENTLY THEY'RE CONTENT TO HAVE US OWNERS ROLLING DOWN THE ROAD, WRITHING IN PAIN.
I PURCHASED VEHICLE NEW AND HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING A VIBRATION FROM THE DRIVERS SEAT .I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER THEY KEPT IT FOR 6 DAYS AND SAID THEY REPAIRED IT BUT CAR HAS SAME PROBLEM.
I HAD TO REPLACE ONE TIRE ON MY CR-V NOW MY TPMS KEEPS COMING EVEN AFTER I CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURE AND VERIFY I'M OK. I RESET THE LIGHT AND IT WILL COME ON AGAIN AFTER DRIVING A HALF MILE. I TOOK IT BACK TO MY DEALER TWICE THEY RAN A SCAN ON IT EACH TIME A FOUND THE FAULT WAS THE NEW TIRE BEING LARGER THAN THE OTHER THREE TIRES THAT HAVE ONLY 30,000 MILES ON THEM. I TALKED TO THE HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE THEIR ONLY ADVISED WAS TO GO TO A ANOTHER DEALER. I DID SAME RESULTS AND 35.00 DOLLARS POORER. I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE BACK SAY SAID TO BAD. A DEALER SUGGESTED I BUY 3 NEW TIRES, DEFLATE NEW TIRE AND INFLATE THE OTHER 3 TO MAKE THEM THE SAME DIAMETER, BUY A USED TIRE, I BELIEVE HONDA HAS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM IN THAT THE TPMS WILL NOT STAY SET AFTER THE BUTTON HAS BEEN PUSHED. THE COMPUTER SHOULD HAVE LEARNED THE NEW PARAMETERS.
EXCESSIVE VIBRATION THROUGHOUT CABIN. HONDA SERVICE RECOMMENDED AND APPLIED THE MOD 1 REPAIR. THIS HAS ONLY MOVED THE VIBRATION AROUND IN THE VEHICLE. NOW THE VIBRATION IS MUCH MORE FELT IN THE STEERING WHEEL, THE PASSENGER SEAT AND THE REAR SEAT. A MUCH MORE AGGRESSIVE VIBRATION HAS NOW SHOWN UP AT SPEEDS AROUND 70 MPH - THOUGH THIS VIBRATION IS MUCH MORE INTERMITTENT. THE VIBRATION HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE WITH 4 MILES ON IT IN JULY OF 2015. I WENT BACK TO THE DEALER INITIALLY AND THEY SUGGESTED RUNNING THE AIR CONDITIONING OR AN ACCESSORY TO MINIMIZE THE PROBLEM. HONDA WAS WORKING ON A FIX. STILL WAITING FOR THE FIX AND ALSO WONDERING WHAT SERIOUS PROBLEMS THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE DOWN THE ROAD.
WHEN I WAS SITTING IN A DRIVE THRU A MAN CAME UP TO ME AND TOLD ME THAT GASOLINE WAS POURING OUT FROM UNDER MY CAR. I DROVE THE CAR HOME AND BY THE TIME I GOT HOME THE FUEL SMELL WAS OVERWHELMING AND I HAD LOST THE 1/2 TANK OF GAS THAT I HAD. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT RODENTS HAD EATEN THROUGH MY SOY BASED FUEL LINES. WHEN I ASKED WHY THERE WASN'T A RECALL FOR THIS, I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS NOT A SAFETY HAZARD. I TOTALLY DISAGREE! IF SOMEONE HAD THROWN A CIGARETTE OUT AT THE DRIVE THRU OR AS I DROVE HOME, I WOULD HAVE GONE UP IN FLAMES.
I HAVE BROUGHT CAR BACK 4 TIMES FOR THE VIBRATION PROBLEM. LAST VISIT THE SHOP FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGED A PROBLEM BULLETIN 15-046. CAR STILL SHAKES WHEN IDLING
WIPES CUTTING OUT WHILE IN OPERATION AND HAVE TO TURN ON AND OFF TO GET IT TO COMPLETE A SWEEP OF THE WINDSHIELD.
WHILE ENGINE IS RUNNING, THERE IS OFTEN A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE IN THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. IT MOST OFTEN OCCURS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IDLING EITHER IN THE GARAGE OR OUTSIDE.

2015 HONDA CR-V SEVERE VIBRATIONS FELT IN VEHICLE WHILE IN DRIVE- IDLE (STOP LIGHTS, SIGNS, SITTING IN DRIVEWAY) OR SLOW SPEEDS. SO SEVERE CAUSING HEADACHES AND NAUSEA. ALSO, EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE FOR A FEMALE TO SIT ON WHILE THAT INTENSE. IN A BAD WAY. TOOK TO PRIORITY CHESAPEAKE IN VIRGINIA FOUR SEPARATE TIMES, WHERE THE FOURTH TIME BOTH THE DEALERSHIP AND AMERICAN HONDA REFUSED ANY ASSISTANCE IN THE FIX. THEY ADMITTED THIS WAS NOTICED IN THE 2015 MODEL, AND IS NORMAL FOR THE 2015 CR-V (ALBEIT NO OTHER CR-V HAS THESE ISSUES). BOTH AMERICAN HONDA AND DEALERSHIP REFUSE TO ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY AND REFUSE ANY ASSISTANCE IN REACHING A SOLUTION.
STEERING WHEEL VIBRATING AND TURNING WHILE IN MOTION, BOTH WHEN ACCELERATING AND COASTING ON ANY STREET OR SPEED. ODOMETER 14,000. DON'T FEEL I HAVE CONTROL OF CAR. WHOLE CAR VIBRATING SINCE PURCHASE. AIRBAG RECALL WAS FIXED.

THE RADIATOR, LOWER CUSSING, TR S-B KIT RAD MT LOWER CUSSING MOUNTING, TRANS, THREE BOLT, FLANGE, 12 X 35 BOLT 12X40 BOLT 12X40 MUT, FLANGE (12MM) KIT, AND FR HEAD CVT SOFTWARE WERE UPDATED. THE DEALER'S REPORT INDICATED THAT THE PCM MAY CAUSE PRESSURE ISSUES IN THE SEAT VT AFFECTING THE DRIVING CONDITION. THE TECHNICIAN UPDATED THE CVT SOFTWARE AS PER THE SERVICE BULLETIN AND REPLACED THE FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT. THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER A SECOND TIME AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WERE LOOKING INTO THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BY THE TECHNICIAN WHO WAS WAITING ON THE SOLUTION, BUT WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT REMEDY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,179. AT AN IDLE POSITION, VEHICLE STARTS TO VIBRATE, MAKE A LOUD NOISE AND STARTS REVVING EXCESSIVELY (WENT FROM 800 TO 2,000 RPMS) ALL THE TIME WITH MY FOOT FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. THIS HAS OCCURRED NOW ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, 3 TIMES ON 2/10/2017.
HONDA CR-V 2015 VIBRATION PROBLEM. I AM STILL FACING THE VIBRATION AT IDLE ISSUE EVEN AFTER THE SOFTWARE UPDATE AND REPAIR PERFORMED BY THE HONDA DEALER WHICH IS INTENDED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.IT IS NOW MORE NOTICEABLE THAN BEFORE. THE DEALER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. AMERICAN HONDA SAYS THAT IT'S DEALERS RESPONSIBILITY. THE VIBRATION IS VERY DISTRACTING AND NAUSEATING.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A STEEP HILL ABOUT A BLOCK FROM MY HOMEWHEN ALL OF THE "TROUBLE" LIGHTS CAME ON. I IMMEDIATELY TUNED AROUND AND THE ENGINE POWER WAS SO LOW THAT I BARELY MADE IT THE BLOCK HOME. I PARKED AND CALLED HONDA SERVICE. WHE I FOUND OUT THAT SINCE MY CAR HAD 47,000 MILES ON IT AND HONDA TOWING WOULD COST $160, I HAD THE CAR TOWED BY A LOCAL SERVICE FOR $100 TO THE DEALER. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALER ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY (IT HAPPENED ON A FRIDAY OR SATURDAY), THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE MECHANICS COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM BY STARTING THE CAR. NO ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO DRIVE IT. THE COMPANY INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS CORROSION BETWEEN THE ENGINE WIRE HARNESS AND THE SENSOR CONNECTOR. THE PARTS TO REPLACE WERE THE CRANK SENSOR CONNECTOR, THE O RING, AND INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET. THIS COST $1002.
ALL4 CONTINENTAL BRAND TIRES (ORIGINAL TIRES FROM HONDA) WERE WORN OUT AND HAD TO BE REPLACED AT 25,000 MILES. TIRES SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN THIS! MOST PEOPLE WOULD NOT THINK ABOUT HAVING THE TREAD CHECKED AT THIS LOW MILEAGE. HONDA SAYS THIS IS CONTINENTAL PROBLEM NOT HONDA. CONTINENTAL SAID I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE TO A CONTINENTAL DEALER AND HAD THEM PRORATED. I DID NOT WANT MORE GARBAGE TIRES! THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD.
THE SEAT BELT HAS NEVER RETRACTED CORRECTLY, IT IS SLOW AND WHEN REMOVED IT JUST HANGS AT THE SIDE AND OUT THE DOOR FRAME. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER ON 16 JAN 2017 AND THEY SAID IT JUST NEEDED THE GUIDE CLEANED AND CHARGED ME $2.47 REPAIR ORDER. THIS CAR HAD 21,450 MILES ON IT. THIS DID NOT FIX THE SEAT BELT - I WROTE IT IN THEIR REVIEW. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE SERVICE MANAGER AND HE ORDERED A SEAT BELT RE-TRACTOR. I RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 21 JAN 2017 AND SEAT BELT WAS REPLACED. THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM - WONDERING IF IT WAS EVEN REPLACED?
RODENTS CHEWED THRU THE WIRING HARNESS AND THE PLASTIC HOUSING, WHICH CAUSED LIGHTS AND SIGNALS TO LOSE FUNCTIONALITY. DISCOVERED IT WHILE DRIVING WHEN TURN SIGNAL CLICKING STARTED GOING VERY FAST, AND I THOUGHT THE BULB WAS BAD.

WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 30 DEGREES, THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID DOES NOT DISCHARGE TO CLEAN THE WINDSHIELD. THE DEALER SAYS THAT THIS WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID RESORVIOR IS CLOSE TO THE BUMPBER AND THEREFORE IT FREEZES. DRIVING IN SNOW CONDITION IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS AS YOU CAN NOT CLEAN THE MUDDY WINDSHIELD. IT'S MATTER OF TIME WHEN HUMANS WILL START TO GET HURT DUE TO THIS FLAW. HONDA NEEDS TO OWN THE ISSUE AND COME UP WITH SOLUTION. THE WIPER FLUID WILL START TO WORK AFTER AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR OF DRIVING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR A TRANSMISSION RECALL ON 11/23/16 TO APPLE HONDA RIVERHEAD, NY 11901. AND WAS INFORMED THAT AT 20,000 MILES ALL FOUR TIRES WERE WORN OUT.
