I was driving with my grandchildren in my 2017 CR-V AWD and when I stopped the vehicle I was unable to put the car in park. I could not move the gear shift and then the gear shift knob fell off. I had to call my husband who was able to rig it so that we could put the car in our driveway. I researched online and on this site and see that it is a known problem. I took the car to the dealership today. They stated that it was a recall but that my car VIN was not included in the recall. My car was the first one that they had repaired that was not included in the recall. I had it fixed and paid $82.96. It is not just the money that upsets me but the fact that I was stuck with no way to put my car in park and that they knew about the problem but had not notified me to get it fixed. I did do an online chat with a Honda rep and am waiting to hear back from them. I only had 28,209 miles on my vehicle. I was not given the old parts after the repair
Problem 1: My car has 30,000 miles but her Honda since it is past the 36 months it is no longer under warranty. Problem 2: I feel this is a safety issue due to the nature of the failure and the consequences of an immediately failure rendering the car undriveable. This is how the problem unfolded. I started the car. Immediately "System failures" started scrolling across the dash system including Power Brake Failure. I called Honda service, explained what was happening, and Per the Honda service representative, I was told I could drive the car in. I explained the car would not come out of park thus I could not drive it. I was then told how to manually get the car out of park to drive it in for evaluation. I put it in reverse to get out of the garage and when I tried to stop the car I and had no brakes or steering. I got the car to stop by standing with both feet and all my weight on the brake peddle. I Had towed on a flat bed tow truck into Ed Napleton Honda. I was told by Honda that they have never seen this system failure without "a rodent being involved" as they chew threw the housing and then chew on the wires causing the electrical problem. After about 36 hours I was called and told that they had to replace the Brake Power Booster sensor, "no evidence of rodent involvement" and no explanation of why the part failed. I was informed that before further evaluation could be done there was no choice but to replace the Power Booster. I was told it would be $2600.00 and that even if it was not the problem, I had to pay for the repair for they could continue the evaluation process. This is 3 X the cost of the part per another source I called. I also feel I could have been killed/injured or killed and/or injured other people on the road if this had happened when I was driving as there was no pre warning of the problem and having the Certified Service Associate telling me to drive the car knowing that I had total system failure's scrolling across my dash.
After the car is turned completely off, the dash lights up with all warning lights on and won't shut down, which then drains the battery. This has happened 3 times and we've gone through 2 batteries. The 3rd time it happened, we were able to get it to the dealership before it drained the battery completely. The dealership was able to confirm that it's the Body Control Module that is causing the electrical shortage which completely drains the battery. Part is on back order and car is unsafe to drive at this time because of the electrical shortage in the BCM.
2017 Honda CRV Touring 19, 647 miles. As I was approaching a red light, I stepped on my brake to slow down and brake for the red light. Upon trying to stop, I had NO BRAKE POWER WHATSOEVER. Having no brake power I could not stop, I did have an accident and hit another vehicle. My vehicle still would not stop as I continued to try and brake. I drifted approximately 1/2 mile from the accident until it fully stopped. My airbag went off and my Honda Link did contact the police and ambulance. I had minor injuries and just went to my primary physician. I do have a police report. At this time it is at an independent collision center, once repaired it will go to Honda for scanning and diagnose. I am told it can be repaired, BUT, who will diagnose why this happened, and I don’t know why automatic emergency braking system didn’t work.
I was driving along the highway when all of a sudden the car stalled and all of the lights started to flash; we noticed there is a recall for fuel pumps on 2018-2019 honda CR-V's but this is the same exact thing that happend to our 2017, luckily nobody was hurt as the state police came right away and we were towed to the side of the highway; there was no warning signs; We had the car towed to the Honda dealership and it was diagnosed as a faulty/failing fuel pump. Hope this helps
Pulled out of a parking spot, and after shifting into drive, I heard a pop. Then when I got home, and pulled into the garage to park, realized the shift button was missing and that I couldn't get the car into park. After much finagling, I was able to get into park. We then found the button that had broken off on the floor. With this button broken off the car is inoperable due to not being able to shift the gears. This is a problem that has been reported before on this vehicle and some of the vehicles have been recalled for this problem. I called the dealership and was told my vehicle was not part of that recall, but they were aware of this problem.
My 2017 Honda CR-V had a noise coming from the steering wheel. My local Honda dealer Wesley Chapel Honda diagnosed the problem and found out that the defective part is the "cable reel" in the steering wheel of the car. This defective cable reel is related to the air bag and could pose serious safety issues. Honda has issued a Recall for the same part "cable reel" for 2019 CR-V all trims (Service Bulletin 19-062). In my case, the problem is caused by the same defective part "cable reel"and should be recalled by Honda and fixed for me as soon as possible. Honda North America should extend their recall to cover more CR-Vs using the same defective part.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle failed to exceed 10 – 15 MPH. The contact stated that the parking brake warning light was blinking. The power steering and ignition warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the contact informed that the radar was dirty. The contact had the vehicle washed but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Honda of Seattle (2005 Airport Way S, Seattle, WA 98134) where it was diagnosed that the fuel injector, throttle body, and fuel system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V442000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
I was pulling into my garage. As i was decelerating, my vehicle lunged forward, making a loud, revving engine noise. My foot was on the brake, but this didn't prevent my CRV from impacting the back wall of the garage with enough force to crack the interior sheetrock and floor molding and pushing the king size bed approximately two feet away from the wall. Car also suffered considerable damage under the hood, and is not driveable. The airbag did not engage.
Was driving over railroad tracks when BRAKE warning suddenly came on screen causing automatic braking. This lead to a sudden and complete stop causing vehicle to almost be rear ended. Nothing was in the road that should have caused the collision mitigation system to trip and apply the brakes. Nothing appears wrong otherwise or since the sudden braking
The center console display will not dim. Attempting to dim it results in momentary dimming and then it returns to full brightness. The glare from the display makes it extremely difficult to see at night. I had the dealer check it out and they told me that Honda released a Technical Service Bulletin to replace the unit. However, since the vehicle is not under warranty at this time the part alone is around $2300. This is a safety issue and should be covered or repaired at a lower cost.
My 2017 Honda CRV was just little over 25k millage and A/C stop working, only blow hot air. It was very dangerous to drive during heavy rain condition in summer. It is a very serious safety matter and it should be a recall for a fixing. I don't understand why Honda ignored so many complaints and not fixing it. It is completely ruin its reputation all over the years they have developed in USA.
When starting the vehicle, all of the safety system warning messages came on one right after the others. Sometimes, it is enough to turn the engine off for a few minutes and restart the car, for all of the warnings to be cleared. Other times (this past weekend) the same thing happens several starts in a row. The vehicle seemed to operate normally despite the warnings—most of which relate to assisted driving and safety systems. I don’t know if the problem actually created a safety risk. The vehicle has not been taken to a dealer or service center, but I am taking it in the day after tomorrow. It has not been inspected. The system warning lights themselves are the problem.
Vehicle reports multiple faults at once at random instances. Usually happens upon turning the Vehicle on Faults include: Engine system problem Tire pressure monitor system Electrical power steering Adaptive cruise control CMBS problem (collision mitigation braking system problem) RDM problem (road departure mitigation problem) Each light associated with these systems indicate on the dash along with scrolling text The vehicle operates normally besides certain systems being disabled entirely Steers normal Brakes normal (the electronic braking system flashes and does not indicate whether or not the brakes are applied in which they do lock and release) Engine seems to run fine
As I was driving out of town, my A/c stopped working. It was over 80 degrees outside but we were able to roll down windows. However, it became a real safety issue when it rained and I was on a major interstate in another state. My windows fogged up and I couldn’t get it to clear because there was no A/C. My repair shop says compressor is bad. It appears to be a relatively common problem.
The shift lever push button fell off while I was driving the car. Luckily it did not cause an accident to me. Now the car is unusable until repaired.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision Avoidance braking system erroneously activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer were the computer software was updated; however, the failure persisted. There was no further information available. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that the vehicle went into LIMP Mode while at a traffic light and then lost motive power. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the points, intake manifold, oil rings, fuel injectors, and spark plugs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was previously taken to another local dealer Hardin County Honda 5608 N Dixie Hwy, Elizabethtown, KY 42701 who replaced the points and plugs. The mechanic informed the contact that the fuel system was running rich and with a misfire in cylinders #1 and #2. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving on several occasions, several unknown warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle was working as designed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.
The car doesn’t start . I have a message of brake system and don’t recognize the keys
The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle would not start due to battery drainage. The contact could not jumpstart the vehicle. The battery was replaced 3 weeks prior to the failure. The contact stated that 7 months prior, the battery had been replaced. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and was awaiting a diagnostic test. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 156,000.
While driving on the NJ turnpike dashboard lights came on indicating system issue with adaptive cruise control, road hazard mitigation system and brake system. Went to the dealer and they said the radar needed to be replaced at a cost of $1300. Research on the internet indicates this is a problem with many 2017 Honda CRV's and class action lawsuits have been launched across the country. i believe there should be a recall on the 2017 Honda CRV since it is affecting so many vehicles. Thank You.
In less than three and half years, I have replaced the battery at least three times. This time like the others, the battery was DEAD. I took it to the dealership (Pacific Honda) and with documentation from O Reilly's confirming the battery was good. The initial evaluation from the dealership was some kind of module (can't remember the name he gave me) was the cause and needed to be replaced. The part was to be delivered the next day. However, later the next day I received a call informing me that the diagnosis was wrong. The "Shifter Base Assembly" was defective and not alerting the system the car was in park. That caused the electrical system to remain active and draining the battery. That part is on back-order and unknown when it will be available. My car is parked at the dealership at no use to me. A "Google" inquiry alerted me to a widespread module issue draining the battery.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while shifting gears, the shifter button detached without warning. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 29,000.
When driving, the gear shift button fell out. I was able to temporarily continue putting it in to shift gears, but then the internal part crumbled and the gear will not lock/permanently pressed in. Overnight, this caused my car to lose power (battery drain)? Will require replacement to be installed; cannot use car in meantime.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while his wife was driving approximately 50-60 mph, the brake pedal was stiff. The driver shifted into neutral as the speed decreased and placed the gear shifter into park. The braking system warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was restarted and drove as designed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where they were unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 34,081.
UKNOWN. The button on the shifter knob broke when I shifted from park into reverse. I have to reassemble it every time I need to shift.
ELECTRICAL: this Honda CRV has had problems with the battery at apx12,000 miles. Battery fully discharged, requires being reset at a service facility because even after jumping the car, dash states that many of the functions will not operate. How stupid is that? VERY. Battery dead again in Dec. 2020, just under 13,000 miles. After jump, I traveled about 70 miles. After 2 days, dead again. Another 2 hr delay waiting for a jump and went directly to replace the battery. We bought the car new in Nov of 2017, this should not happen. The service person said that Honda puts in cheap batteries, so I attributed it to that until I read many of the NHTSA reports here with issue after issue being reported. Also, in summer of 2020, we noticed the air conditioning system seemed very weak. I did not take any action at that time, not sure what to do about that. Now in June of 2021, there is DEFINITELY A PROBLEM, no AC on these over 90 degree temp heat wave days. One doesn't buy an expensive car to have problems like this. Entering the car on a hot rainy day with the inside front windshield all fogging, you can't clear it without air conditioning. I couldn't drive the car until it cleared, which took a long time. I guess visibility isn't a high enough safety issue for Honda. And again after reading a hundred of these NHTSA reports, no need to read all 206, the pattern is clear. I now see the number of problems I will most likely face, my gear shift knob falling apart, car suddenly breaking when no other cars are around, or when cars are behind me and slam into me. I will sell the car and move on to a different manufacturer. This is my first Honda, and will be my last. Honda doesn't give a crap about these incidents because there are MANY and they have done nothing. I'm not even sure what the NHTSA does other than collect these if they don't hammer a company to fix repeating problems. Maybe they just keep them for archives? Hey NHTSA> WHAT IS THE POINT IF YOU DO NOTHING???
On multiple occasions, the audio/information display screen has gone completely blank or black. It worked in the back up mode where I could see behind my car, but would not display any controls, climate, audio, phone etc. The screen was completely black. After turning on/off no change. After leaving the car off overnight, it worked the next day. Again this happened at least 3 times over the past year.
The electrical wiring malfunctioned and all the warning notifications are sounding on the dashboard. Tire Monitoring System, Brake System, Brake Hold System, Vehicle Stability Problem, Hillside Assist Problem, Road Departure Migration System, etc... Also, the Emergency Brake engages every time the car turns off. We cannot disable this feature. We have to take the emergency brake off every time we turn the car on. When this happens, the only way to terminate the warning notifications is to disconnect the battery and wait 15-20 minutes. We are concerned the emergency brake could malfunction and engage when the car is driving.
I have a 2017 Honda CRV with 1.5 turbo with only 89,651 miles. When we started the vehicle every warning light on the dash was on , including parking brake, lane departure, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist . So we didn't know if it was safe to even drive the car home. So I had to have a family member bring a code reader so i I could see if we could drive it home. It only had 3 codes, P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Dtc severity 2 of 3, P0302 cylinder 2 Misfire detected and another P0302 cylinder misfire. Had no codes of all the warning lights that were flashing on the dash. I cleared the codes with the code reader and all warning lights went off. So we drove it home. The next day we sent it to a Honda dealer and they performed a software update and a air-fuel test on all 4 cylinders. The vehicle did fail air-fuel test. The Honda dealer recommends new fuel injectors at a cost of $ 1264.00 . I feel there is a defect in the fuel injectors if they only lasted 89,650 miles. Also Honda might have a software problem if bad fuel injectors makes all the warning lights go on .
Entire system failure occurred while driving on a 4-lane interstate at speeds of 70 mph in congested traffic in air temps of 80 F (sunny). Vehicle lost all power both electrical / mechanical for roughly four to five seconds. There was immediate deacceleration and zero power (electrical / mechanical). Driver's immediate response was to remove hands from steering wheel and removed foot from gas in a state of shock/disbelief. Vehicle then restarted itself and resumed function. Driver was put at extreme risk as well as all other drivers / vehicles in surrounding roadway due to the extreme deacceleration with no warning. Incident reported to dealer who stated they had not heard of such an occurrence and requested vehicle be brought in for a $120 diagnostic check. Vehicle purchased new. Mileage at time of incident 20,000.
During a routine drive, I heard what sounded like a piece of plastic fall into my cup holder area. I glanced into the cup holders and surrounding center console area, but did not observe anything that may have fallen into it. The vehicle continued to operate as normal so I continued to my destination. When I arrived, I went to put my vehicle in park, but then noticed that my gear shifter actuation button was missing. I was only able to get the vehicle into neutral, but not park or reverse. I looked down on the drivers side floor, but did not see the missing actuation button. My next thought was to get out of my seat and look for it under my seat. When I took my foot off of the brake pedal, the vehicle started to roll because I was on a slight grade and still in neutral. I then set the parking brake to hold the vehicle while I searched for the missing button. I finally found the button and the spring that goes with it laying on the drivers side floor almost under the seat. I observed the actuator and could see where it was actually broke, but I was still able to insert it back into the gear shifter handle and put the car into park and shut it off. To get home later, I had to wrap some electrical tape around the button so that it would not fall out again. When I got home, I could not turn my car off after parking because the electrical tape was preventing the actuation button from fully disengaging. I later removed the tape and covered the entire shifter knob with a small sock to hold the actuation button in. Currently looking into recalls and repairs.
While driving about 25 mph on a corner, all the warning lights on dash board lit up and power suddenly dropped to less than 10 mph. Luckily there was a turnout where I pulled over. If someone was following me I could have been rear ended and pushed into on coming traffic. There was no warning or indication that I would be losing power like that. I have talked to Honda dealership and they have not heard of this happening. I have Googled this problem and it seems that other 2017-2018 CRVs are experiencing this issue too.
June 2, 2021 car was taken to local Honda dealer. Touch screen problems. Touch screen said Anti Theft system not workingPress and hold power button. I did and screen went black. I feel unsafe driving with a black screen ,when I back up I have no rear camera. I have no access to the other settings either. Honda repairmen updated computer system and it worked for one day. Today -June 4, 2021 the screen lit up when I started the car, went black with no warning messages a minute later. A few minutes later it came back on.
On a number of occasions the AEB has activated out of nowhere. Most often this has occurred when approaching an underpass, maybe the AEB is detecting the shadow of the bridge? It very scary as it beeps loudly and the breaks come on suddenly, causing me to jerk forward unexpectedly. This is potentially very dangerous when at high speeds. This has happened to me again today while on a straight highway road at 70 mph with no car in front of me and thankfully no car behind. In total this has happened about 15-20 times in the past three years.
I while driving my 2017 Honda CRV on a country road with no one in front of me or behind. It was a clear day. There were no obstacles or shadows on the road. The road was straight. On its own, the car decided to apply the automatic emergency braking, bring my car to a stop. This was very scary. I was lucky no car was behind me. I took it into the Honda dealership, and they could not identify any problems or provide any solutions.
About a year ago, my 2017 CRV braked for no reason. I was traveling about 30 mph and the brake warning light came on and the car braked suddenly. Fortunately, nobody was behind me. I took the car to my Honda dealer and they looked at the sensors but couldn't find anything. I do worry that this could happen again.
While driving down the road, the button on the gear shifter popped off. It’s the button you push to move the shifter from Park to Drive, etc. I pulled over, but could not put the vehicle in Park or any other gear. Being already in Drive, I drove to Hendrick Honda in Easley, SC where they quickly put in a new button. It cost about $75. I was told that this is a known problem in 2017 Honda CRVs, the plastic attachment breaks and must be replaced. I was told that “there was a recall on some vehicles”, but there was no recall on mine. If there is a known problem affecting the shifting, it should be recalled and repaired. Turning off the vehicle in Drive, with no option to use Park is not safe. I could use the parking brake, of course. At a minimum, owners should know about the problem and what to do.
We purchased this car used with just at 40,000 miles and it passed inspection without any codes. After owning it less than two weeks, my son was driving it with his brother in the front passenger seat and they luckily noticed the PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF LIGHT WAS STILL ON even though his brother is 145lbs and should easily activate the airbag system. We took this to the Dealer and they stated that the air bag seat sensor was showing "-19lbs with no one seated in it" and not registering proper weight of passenger. The dealership then reset the sensor mat, but the issue returned within 2 days of getting it back. The Dealer is asking $1,000 to repair this as it is just over the 36 month warranty period. The reason I am reporting this is I own a 2017 Porsche Macan and they have recalled it for the same reason and I see this as a safety issue for the passenger, not a regular repair. Last it is concerning that a major safety system like this can fail in this situation and not show a code or alert the owner of the car better than this light. This MAJOR safety issue relies on the owner/driver to notice the "Passenger airbag off" light is illuminated with a adult weight passenger onboard which is always on when there is no passenger in the car, so this seems like it can lead to situations like this when the system is not working as designed. The location of the light and lack of any other warning can lead to this warning light being missed and people not being protected in an accident by the airbag.
Every warning light on the dashboard lit up. Car would only go 10 miles/hour. Read on the internet this is a problem with this 2017 1.5 Turbo engine.
I tried using my air conditioner for the first time this year and it's blowing hot air.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT RELATED THE ISSUE TO THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM ERRONEOUSLY ACTIVATING WITHOUT A VEHICLE BEING NEARBY AROUND. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO Leith Honda (3940 Capital Hills Dr, Raleigh, NC 27616) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NOTHING NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 48,013.
MY 2017 HONDA CRV HAS 89K MILEAGE ON IT, WHILE DRIVING THE CAR ON 05/13/2021 ALL THE SAFETY AND OTHER SENSOR STOP WORKING. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THE FUEL INJECTORS ARE BAD AND THEY HAVE TO REPLACE ALL AT ONCE. I LOOKED ONLINE AND MULTIPLE PERSONS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR 2017 CRV ANYWHERE FROM 34K TO 90K MILEAGE
SHUTTER GRILLE CLOSES WHEN ENGINE HOT USUALLY AT FREEWAY SPEED, POWER TO ENGINE REDUCED AUTOMATICALLY, UNABLE TO SPEED UP IN EMERGENCY SITUATION. DEALER JUST SHRUGS AT COMPLAINTS. HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES.
The air conditioner wasn't cooling. We tested and found the driver's side was only blowing 68 degrees and the passenger side was 55 degrees at the lowest setting. I took it to the dealer and they found a leak in the discharge hose. Please see the attached fix and invoice. I believe these suvs should be re-called and that I should be reimbursed the $100 deductible I had to pay for it to be fixed. Thanks!
ON THE WAY DOWN FROM GRAPEVINE ALONG I-5, WARNING LIGHTS SHOWED ON MY DASHBOARD, E.G. TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR PROBLEM, EMISSION SYSTEM PROBLEM, BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM, ETC..., I PANIC AND EXITED THE FREEWAY. I OPENED THE HOOD TO COOL THE ENGINE. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR, I RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND THE WARNING LIGHTS DISAPPEARED SO I CONTINUED MY TRAVEL. HOWEVER, AFTER ABOUT 40 MILES, THE WARNING LIGHTS CAME UP AGAIN. SO, I EXITED THE FREEWAY AGAIN. WE CALLED SERVICE DEALER IN BAKERSFIELD AND BASED ON OUR REPORT HE SAID THE COMPUTER MAY NOT BE TALKING WITH OTHER PARTS. HE ASKED US TO BRING IT IN. BUT THIS DEALER IS SOME 30 MILES AWAY AND IT'S TOO FAR FROM HOME. I RESTARTED THE ENGINE AGAIN AND THE WARNING LIGHTS WENT AWAY AFTER THE ENGINE HAS COOLED DOWN. SO I WENT BACK TO THE FREEWAY DRIVING SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY UNTIL THERE WAS A SLOWER TRUCK IN FRONT OF ME. I TRIED TO OVERTAKE THE TRUCK THEN I FELT LIKE SOMETHING SNAPPED, THE SAME WARNING LIGHTS CAME OUT AND I CAN FEEL THE ENGINE WAS LOSING POWER SO I PARKED ON THE SIDE AND DECIDED TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED SINCE IT CAN STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD PUTTING OUR LIVES IN DANGER. WHEN THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE HONDA DEALER CLOSE TO HOME, IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS INITIALLY FUEL PUMP PROBLEM WITH AN ESTIMATED COST OF ABOUT $2,000. BUT THE PARTS WILL TAKE ABOUT A WEEK TO SHIP DUE TO HAZARD ISSUES. THEY OFFER TO BUY BACK OUR CAR BUT AT ONLY HALF THE PRICE THAT WE BOUGHT IT. IT'S ALMOST FOUR YEARS OLD.
MULTIPLE TIMES ALL SYSTEM WARNING MESSAGES FLASH ON DASHBOARD SCREEN. AUDIBLE ALERT ALSO DINGS. VEHICLE OPERATES OK BUT WARNING MESSAGES CONTINUE TO FLASH ENTIRE TIME VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. TAKEN TO HONDA DEALER TWICE. ERRORS CLEARED AND SENSING RADAR REPLACED. ISSUE CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. DISCONNECT OF NEG BATTERY FOR 30 SEC CLEARS ALL CODES BUT UNDERLYING ISSUE REMAINS.
TOOK MY CAR IN APRIL 30 WHEN DASH LIGHTS BEGAN CYCLING THROUGH ALL DIAGNOSE BRAKE PROBLEMS,ENGINE PROBLEMS, ETC. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY BRAKES PAY $400 TO GET THEM FIXED ON MAY 8, TOOK THE CAR BACK WITH THE SAME PROBLEM HONDA DEALER IN BAY RIDGE
I TURN THE CAR ON AND THE SCREEN SHOWS MULTI FUNCTION FAILURE PROBLEMS VSA HILL START ROAD DEPARTURE DRIVE CAREFULLY SYSTEM ALL. AFTER RESTARTING 10 OR SO TIMES PROBLEM STOPS
