AUDIO HEAD UNIT (7" LED PANEL ON EX-L) ON DASHBOARD DOES NOT DIM AT NIGHT. WHEN YOU TRY AND MOVE THE DIMMER SLIDER ON THE UNIT, IT TRIES TO DIM, THAN GOES BACK TO FULL BRIGHTNESS. THE DEALER HAS TRIED TO FIX THIS FOR OVER A YEAR, AND IT'S STILL NOT FIXED. DOING A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH SHOWS MANY OTHERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IT'S TOO BRIGHT AT NIGHT AND AFFECTS/INTERFERES WITH NIGHT DRIVING ESPECIALLY WHEN MAKING RIGHT HAND TURNS BY CREATING A BLINDING CONDITION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT NOTICED A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL INSIDE THE VEHICLE WHEN THE ENGINE WAS STARTED. ALSO, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WITHOUT WARNING. DURING ANOTHER OCCURRENCE, ALL OF THE WARNING INDICATORS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE ENTERED INTO LIMP MODE. FURTHERMORE, THE ABS ENGAGED WITHOUT WARNING ON TWO OCCASIONS. ROSSI HONDA (1517 S DELSEA DRIVE, VINELAND, NEW JERSEY 08360, (856) 692-1700) DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL WAS DILUTED WITH FUEL AND UPDATED THE VEHICLE'S SENSING SOFTWARE SYSTEM; HOWEVER, THE FAILURES RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,000.
MY BRAND NEW 2017 CRV TOURING APPEARS TO HAVE THE DETACHABLE ANCHOR FOR THE 2ND ROW CENTER SEAT BELT CROSSED WITH THE 2ND ROW LEFT SEAT BELT BUCKLE. THIS CONFIGURATION CAUSES THE CENTER BELT AND THE LEFT SEAT BELT TO CROSS ONE ANOTHER AND ALSO MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR THE LEFT SEAT PASSENGER TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT THEIR SEAT BELT WITH THE CENTER PASSENGER BUCKLED IN. THIS CONFIGURATION DOES NOT ALLOW THE PERSON SITTING BEHIND THE DRIVER TO WEAR THEIR SEAT BELT WHEN MY CHILD'S INFANT SEAT IS BUCKLED INTO THE CENTER AS THE BUCKLE CANNOT BE ACCESSED. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN AS I TRAVEL FREQUENTLY WITH MY INFANT DAUGHTER, SON, AND SON'S FRIEND IN THE BACK SEAT. THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS WHICH CAN BE GOOGLED. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE HERE.
FAULTY HONDA SENSING WAS DRIVING AT APPROX 35MPH WHEN CRV SLAMMED ON IT'S ON BRAKES BY ITSELF FOR THE 2ND TIME THANK GOD NO ONE WAS BEHIND US, HIGH BEAMS COME ON WHEN CLOSE TO ON COMING TRAFFIC BLINDING ON COMING TRAFFIC, BLIND SPOT INDICATOR COMES ON WHEN NO ONE AROUND, BLIND SPOT INDICATOR DOESN'T COME ON, WHEN CARS IN BLIND SPOT,DIDN'T SEE CAR IN MY BLIND SPOT AND CUT CAR OFF BECAUSE BLIND SPOT INDICATOR WASN'T WORKING. BURNING WIRE SMELL INSIDE CAB. MOST OF THESE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING SINCE APPROX JAN 2017 LESS THAN 1 MONTH OF OWNING CAR. I CAN'T LIST JUST 1 DAY ITS HAPPENED BECAUSE IT'S HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER AND OVER. CRV HAS BEEN IN SHOP 5-6 TIMES FOR THESE PROBLEMS WITH NO LUCK OF FIXING THEM.
FUEL SMELL IN CABIN AND OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE. FOUND OIL LEVEL HIGH WITH HONDA SERVICE DOING ALL MAINTENANCE. HIGHLY DOUBT UPDATED SOFTWARE WILL PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 61,000 MILES. BEEN DOING THIS SINCE PURCHASE.
NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET, BUT THE REAR SEATBELTS IN OUR CRV HAVE A BUCKLE POINT THAT APPEARS TO BE INSTALLED BACKWARD. WHEN BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE DEALER THEY SAID THAT'S HOW THEY ARE. THE MIDDLE SEATING POSITION SEATBELT, WHICH HAS TWO BUCKLE POINTS , BUCKLES ON THE OUTSIDE PORTION OF THE FASTENER SYSTEM WHILE THE LEFT SEATING POSITION BUCKLES ON THE INSIDE OF THE FASTENER SYSTEM. IN THE EVENT OF NEED FOR RAPID EXIT, THE LEFT REAR SEAT FASTENER IS BLOCKED BY THE MIDDLE SEAT SEATBELT.
LETTER FROM SENATOR BROWN INQUIRY ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT IN REGARDS TO A 2017 HONDA CRV 1.5 AWD EX-L AND THE CAR SAYING IT CAME WITH A HD RADIO BUT DOES NOT. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED ACCORDING TO AN INVOICE THE VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE EQUIPPED WITH AN HD RADIO, BUT IT WAS NOT INSTALLED. THE CONSUMER WAS ADVISED THAT SINCE THE NO COST WAS ADDED TO THE VEHICLE FOR THE RADIO IT WOULD NOT BE INSTALLED. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED TO HAVE THE RADIO INSTALLED OR RECEIVE IT'S FAIR MARKET VALUE. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL FUEL ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE DURING SHORT ROAD TRIPS. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. ADDITIONALLY, THE TAIL PIPE WAS RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RUSSELL & SMITH HONDA (2900 S LOOP W, HOUSTON, TX 77054, (713) 481-3063) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT FUEL WAS IN THE OIL AND THE RUST WAS NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
