CONTACT STATED PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT WITH FOOT ON THE BRAKE, SLOWING TO A STOP, WHEN SHE WAS ALMOST AT A COMPLETE STOP THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY LURCHED FORWARD. THE VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH A CEMENT POLE IN A PARKING GARAGE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AS A RESULT OF THE COLLISION. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS DUE TO THE DAMAGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE HAD NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED DUE TO THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT SHE SUSTAINED SORENESS TO THE CHEST THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO BODY REPAIR FACILITY WHERE THE DAMAGES WERE ASSET, HOWEVER THE FAILURE CAUSE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE CAUSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
