MY PASSENGER DOORS STOPPED OPENING BY BUTTON AND HANDLE, TURNING SIGNALS, BRIGHTS, DASH SIGNALS, WINDSHIELD WIPERS, DOOR LOCKS, HORN. ALL STOP WORKING WHENEVER THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT AND MORE THEN A COUPLE DON'T WORK AT SAME TIME. DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER SEATBELT DOESNT STAY TIGHT FOR MY DAUGHTERS CAR SEAT ABD UNABLE TO USE OTHER SEAT AS THAT DOOR DOESNT WORK AT ALL ANYMORE. THE STEERING IS ALSO VERY DIFFICULT WHEN TURNING INTO A PARKING SPOT TO THE POINT THAT I HAVE TO USE ALL STRENGTH FROM BOTH ARMS TO PULL THE WHEEL INTO THE DIRECTION I NEED THE CAR TO GO
CHECK AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF. I SAW THAT THE 2005 HAD A RECALL FOR THE AIR BAG SYSTEM, WONDERING IF 2006 COULD BE IMPACTED WITH SIMILAR PROBLEM. LIGHT COMES ON BOTH WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION, AND WHEN CAR IS IN PARK.

THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK FROM THE SEAT BELT AND BACK. THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK INJURIES AND REAR LEFT PASSENGER SUSTAINED NECK INJURIES ALL REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT MENTION THE OTHER DRIVER DID NOT SUSTAINED INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS NIER HIS RESIDENCE AND DROVE THE VEHICLE THERE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED OF THE ACCIDENT DAMAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED OF THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 142,000.
TAKATA RECALL. WE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THE SELLING DEALER TELLING US THAT A PROBLEM MAY EXIST WITH THE AIR BAGS IN OUR CAR. THEY PROVIDED US WITH A RECALL NUMBER ( EA 15001). I WENT TO OUR LOCAL HONDA DEALER IN FORT MYERS FL. AND THEY TOLD US THAT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR OUR VEHICLE. WE ARE NOT SURE WHO TO BELIEVE. PLEASE SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE THE DRIVER'S DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, SHE CRASHED INTO A TREE AND A BRICK WALL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER DIED INSTANTLY IN THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE INJURIES SUSTAINED IN THE CRASH WERE UNKNOWN. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000.

ONE OF THE SEAT BELTS FOR THE MIDDLE SEAT DOES NOT HAVE A STANDARD RELEASE BUTTON. INSTEAD, YOU HAVE TO TRY TO USE THE METAL CLIP PIECE OR A KEY OR OTHER RIGID THING ITEM TO RELEASE THE BELT. I ALWAYS THOUGHT OF THIS AS AN ANNOYING DESIGN, BUT DID NOT REALIZE HOW DANGEROUS THIS WAS UNTIL MY DAUGHTER GOT IT WRAPPED AROUND HER NECK. THE SEAT BELT WAS LOCKED IN THE CEILING AND RETRACTING TIGHTER AS SHE STRUGGLED. SHE IS FINE AND I GOT HER OUT WITHOUT ANY REAL DAMAGE, BUT THIS IS AN INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS DESIGN AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED AS SOME OTHER CHILD MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY. THE CAR WAS NOT MOVING AT THE TIME, IT WAS PARKED. IT HAPPENED IN MY MOMS 2016 ODYSSEY, BUT IT HAS THE SAME DESIGN IN MY VEHICLE LISTED. *TR
SEAT BELT ON DRIVERS SIDE GETS WET EVERY TIME IT RAINS. WATER IS GETTING INTO WHERE THE SEAT BELT RECOILS WHEN NOT ON THE DRIVER.
MY 2006 ODYSSEY WAS HIT ON THE PASSENGER 2ND ROW BY A VEHICLE THAT RAN A STOP SIGN AND SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE 2ND ROW PASSENGER SIDE. THE IMPACT CAUSED THE ODYSSEY TO SPIN AND WAS PUSHED AT LEAST 20 FEET BEFORE BEING STOPPED BY THE CURB. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING AND SHE SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES- NO ONE WAS IN THE 2ND ROW THANKFULLY. WHEN I VIEWED THE CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE, THERE WAS NO QUESTION IN MY MIND THAT THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. HOWEVER, AFTER INQUIRING FURTHER TO VERIFY THIS ASSUMPTION, I DISCOVERED THAT NO AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED. I WAS SHOCKED TO LEARN THIS. THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED AND DID NOT. I CONSIDER THIS TO BE A MALFUNCTION, AND I AM INFORMING YOU OF IT AS SUCH. IN MY OPINION THIS IS A MATTER OF PUBLIC SAFETY BECAUSE A SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG SHOULD DEPLOY WHEN VEHICLE IS HIT HARD AND DIRECTLY ON ITS SIDE. I WAS LEFT WITH THE THOUGHT OF WHY DO THEY EVEN INSTALL THESE IF IT DOES NOT DEPLOY IN THIS TYPE OF ACCIDENT. I CAN PROVIDE PICTURES WHICH SUBSTANTIATE THE FORCE OF THE IMPACT AND DAMAGE SUSTAINED. MVA OCCURRED WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE FAILED TO YIELD AND TURNED INTO THE PATH OF THE HONDA, THE HONDA WAS IMPACTED IN THE FRONT RIGHT AREA AND AIRBAG DEPLOYED CAUSING SEVERE SECOND DEGREE BURNS ON BOTH HANDS OF DRIVER. *TR

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. THE CURRENT VEHICLE MILEAGE WAS 113,000 MILES.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS AND THAT THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST TO REPLACE THE SEAT BELT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. SEAT BELT DEFECT: WHEN OUR 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY WAS REAR-ENDED, THE REAR SEAT CHILD OCCUPANT WAS EJECTED OUT OF HIS SEAT AND SUSTAINED INJURIES. THE OCCUPANTS SEATBELT RELEASED ON IT'S OWN UPON IMPACT. SHE ALSO STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS TOOK LONGER TO DEPLOY THAN NORMAL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED BUT NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
