The power sliding door on my driver's side completely fell off. This is due to a faulty hinge with plastic rollers that was I told totally disentgrate after being used normally. This hinge is located at back part of sliding door. I had no warning in any way. There was no warning lights or any sounds of any kind that told me something was wrong. I was closing my door after loading my groceries into my vehicle when the door literally fell off hinges and onto me. Luckily, it was me and not one of my children as I could just barely bear that weight and ended up hurting my back and shoulder because of it. There is no way that they could have, it would have crushed them! My vehicle is available to view issue at request. Please check into this it definitely needs to be recalled and fixed before a child gets hurt! There are thousands of people that have dealt with this happening to them with their Honda Odyssey, why hasn't this vehicle been recalled and fixed? What is going on?
Both of the automatic sliding doors have came off tracks and fell off and will not close all the way it seems the door is only in place with a wire that supports the sliding component and has fallen off and the doors now are only supported by a single top track and this is a safety issue due to passengers riding in the van and if this falls off going down the road it could cause a accident
The sliding door on the driver side has had trouble latching. It has repeatedly caused the battery to drain and has been previously repaired at an independent service center. On 7/16/21, the same sliding door wouldn't close and fell off. The slider center wheel detached causing the door to fall off the track. This resulted in body damage to the side of the vehicle as well as the door needing to be repaired. The vehicle is currently at a body shop, an independent service center. There were no warning lamps on. The door could have injured myself or my son but fortunately we were able to catch it.
Van doors opened by themselves going 60 down the highway while my children were in the vehicle. Happened 3 separate times.

DRIVER SIDE POWER SLIDING DOOR FELL OFF. HAD JUST PARKED. NO PREVIOUS ISSUE, JUST CAME OFF THE TRACKS AND FELL ON ME AS IT OPENED. VERY ALARMING AS MY TODDLER WAS SITTING IN THERE IN HER CAR SEAT. I'VE NOW HAD TO WAIT IN 108 DEGREE HEAT WAITING FOR A MOBILE MECHANIC. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH ALL ODYSSEY'S AND REALLY NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.

THE 2 SLIDING DOORS OPEN WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. THE DOOR CLOSES AND LATCHES BUT BECOMES UNLATCHED WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE READ ABOUT MANY OTHER OWNERS WHO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE ONLINE. WHEN WE CONTACT HONDA THEY SAY IT IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM AND THEY WON'T FIX IT WITHOUT ME PAYING FOR IT BECAUSE MY VAN IS OUT OF WARRANTY. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS BECAUSE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE.
THE BACK DOORS IN THE CAR DO NOT LATCH PROPERLY. ONE DOOR OPENS WHILE DRIVING AND THE OTHER ONLY LATCHES ON ONE SIDE.

THIS VAN HAS BEEN A FRUSTRATING NIGHTMARE. BESIDES THE PAX SYSTEM TIRE ISSUES, WE HAVE HAD TO FIX BOTH SLIDING DOORS BECAUSE THEY FELL OFF. LAST SUMMER THE DOOR WOULDN'T CLOSE, THEN IT FELL OFF THE TRACK WHILE I WAS OUT SHOPPING WITH MY KIDS. MY HUSBAND CAME WITH SOME TOOLS AND HELPED TO GET IT CLOSED SO WE COULD TAKE IT TO THE AUTO SHOP. IT WAS AN EXPENSIVE FIX NOT TO MENTION THE DAMAGE TO THE EXTERIOR. YESTERDAY WHILE I WAS AT THE LIBRARY WITH FOUR OF MY CHILDREN ( 8,6,3, AND A BABY) THE OTHER DOOR CAME OFF THE TRACK. THIS TIME, MY HUSBAND WAS NOT AROUND TO COME HELP US ( HE IS DEPLOYED SERVING IN AFGHANISTAN). WE HAD TO GET THE VAN TOWED, AND THE DOOR STAYED OPEN ALL NIGHT BECAUSE THE SHOP WAS CLOSED. WHILE THERE, ONE OF THE MEN WORKING SAID HE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH HIS ODYSSEY. LOOKING ONLINE I SEE THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE BECAUSE A PIECE WAS MADE WITH NYLON ( TO REDUCE NOISE) WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE WITH STEEL. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE HARDWARE ON THIS. HONDA NEEDS TO FIX THESE, INSTEAD OF LEAVING THE BURDEN TO REST ON THE CONSUMERS WHO PURCHASED THESE PIECES OF JUNK. WHAT A FRUSTRATING SITUATION!

PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR DOES NOT OPEN. IF OPENED DOES NOT CLOSE AT THE FIRST ATTEMPT, IT TAKES ATLEAST 3-4 ATTEMPT TO CLOSE OR OPEN. SLIDING DOOR LIGHT IS ON.

THE SUB-FRAME, RR ASSEMBLY GOT SO SEVERELY CORRODED THAT IT HAS CRACKS AND FRACTURES AND NOW THERE IS A SMALL HOLE IN IT WHICH IS DEEMED AS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT WE CAN'T EVEN DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE COST TO REPAIR IT IS MORE THAN HALF MY VEHICLE VALUE AT THIS POINT. WHAT IS PRETTY INTERESTING IS THAT THE HONDA DEALERS DON'T STOCK THE PART (50300-SHJ-A01) AND CAN'T REALLY SAY IF OR WHEN THEY CAN GET THE PART. MORE THAN A COUPLE OF THEM HAVE TOLD ME THAT THEY'VE NEVER ORDERED THIS PART BEFORE, WHICH LEADS ME TO ASSUME THAT THIS COULD NOT BE A NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR FAILURE. I CALLED HONDA AND THEY WILL NOT RELY ON A 3RD PARTY (MY TRUSTED & REPUTED LOCAL MECHANIC) OPINION AND WOULD LIKE ME TO TAKE THE VEHICLE, MOST LIKELY TOW IT, TO THE DEALER AT MY EXPENSE AND GET IT DIAGNOSED AT MY EXPENSE, WHICH MY MECHANIC HAS ALREADY DONE. THAT SEEMS UNREASONABLE TO ME. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS MATTER? THIS HAPPENED WHEN MY CAR WAS IN FOR AN OIL SERVICE AND THE TECHNICIAN HAPPENED TO NOTICE THE CRACK IN THE PART. THE PAINT IS PEELING OFF FROM THE HOOD, SIDE AND THE ROOP. SPECIALLY, LAST SUNDAY, WE HAD A HEAVY RAIN AND THE SNOW. AFTER THAT DAY. THE PEELING PART TOTALLY PEELED OFF. IT LOOKS BAD(GROSS).
