Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2004 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that at the time of purchase, the odometer mileage reading was 160,000. After obtaining a Carfax Report it was discovered that the previous mileage was 337,000. The contact also indicated that the instrument cluster had been replaced and the air bag and check engine warning lights were inoperable, and the driver’s side air bag had been removed from the vehicle. The VIN was not available.
Honda sold America cars that they knew were rusted less than five years and they still letting people drive these cars that are rusted at the bottom
When I took my car for tire installation at Walmart on [XXX] , the technician declined to install the tires, he stated "your vehicle is unsafe to lift up for tire installation because of rust". I was on my driving it to a body shop when something snapped near the right rear tire after I hit pot holes. I felt it was unsafe to continue I decided to drive it slowly back home and parked it. I fear to drive it again to avoid causing accidents to myself and to other motorists. The car engine runs good and there are no problem lights on my car dashboard. The car interior is still good. Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2004 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase September 2024, the vehicle mileage was 139,020. The contact stated that after a mechanic had informed the contact that the frame was severely rusted, the contact retrieved the Carfax report history of the vehicle and discovered that the vehicle mileage was 196,000 on August 11, 2018.
The contact owns a 2004 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the ignition briefly failed to turn. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact entered the vehicle and the front passenger attempted to secure the seat belt however, the seat belt failed to retract. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 125,000.
I heard a loud pop come from under my driver's seat and the seat started rocking backwards. I got out of my car and checked underneath the seat. The front-left bracket securing the seat to the seat frame had completely sheared in half and the seat was no longer securely attached to the seat frame. This is a significant safety issue. When the car accelerates the driver's seat rocks backwards by ~45 degrees, making it extremely difficult to stay in control of the vehicle and safely steer the vehicle. It is also extremely unsafe in the case of an accident because A) the seat would not hold the driver securely in place, B) the driver would not be properly in position and restrained for the air bags to deploy, C) the seat belt is attached to the seat base and would not be able to fully function properly, and D) any passengers sitting in the 2nd row behind the driver's seat would be in danger of having the full force of the driver and the driver's seat slamming back against them. This is a known issue widely reported in Honda Pilot owners' forums. Yet Honda has not issued a recall. I took the vehicle into a Honda dealership to inspect the issue. They said that Honda no longer makes the part that would be required to fix this safety issue. This issue affects all 2003-2008 model year Honda Pilots. There were over 800,000 2003-2008 model year pilots sold and because of Honda vehicle's longevity there is a massive number of these vehicles still on the roads.
Transmission locks up when vehicle has been driven for a short time
Brakes seem to stop suddenly Must brake slowly to avoid a sudden stop Seatbelt locks up if I do not pull it forward and leave room in the belt so that it isn't completely holding me in Also the driver seat will only adjust sideways.
The contact owns a 2004 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the transmission was shifted into drive(D) and the vehicle shuddered. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 04V176000 (Power Train). The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the transmission fluid was flushed 3 times; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the failure recurred while the vehicle is shifted into drive(D) and D3. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT IS ACTIVATED. I TOOK MY 2004 HONDA PILOT WITH CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATE NUMBER [XXX] TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN HEMET CALIFORNIA ON DECEMBER 14 2022 TO CHECK THE AIR BAG SYSTEM. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A $100.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE BECAUSE THE REPAIR IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE AIRBAG RECALL PROGRAM. MY VEHICLE IS 20 YEARS OLD AND I'M WORRIED THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG IS UNSAFE AND COULD BE ACCIDENTLY ACTIVATED AND CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH. MY VEHICLE HAS OVER 300,000 MILES. AS OF TODAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2023, THE AIR BAG WARNING LAMP IS STILL ON. IS THE ACTIVATED AIR BAG WARNING LAMP COVERED UNDER THE AIR BAG RECALL PROGRAM? The steering became extremely loose over time on my Honda Pilot posing significant safety concerns because of it. The tires adamantly follow all the divets, lines, grooves, and bumps in the road causing me to lose control of the vehicle very easily in poor driving conditions. This is especially exaggerated during inclement weather such as snow or rain. Recently, due to the steering looseness, I lost control of the vehicle and hit a mailbox damaging the entire right side of the vehicle. Please help to work with Honda to resolve this issue. Confirmed with local mechanic that the rear cross member of the sub-frame needs to be replaced immediately. Badly rusted and is a safety issue.
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ACTIVATED. THE HONDA DEALERSHIP CHARGES $100.00 TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE. I WAS TOLD IT'S NOT PART OF THE AIRBAG RECALL AND I WILL HAVE TO PAY. MY VEHICLE IS 20 YEARS OLD. I BELEIVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH AIRBAGS SHOULD BE COVERED BY THE RECALL. IN THE CASE OF AN AIRBAG ACTIVATION AND I AM INJURIED OR KILLED FROM A DEFECTIVE AIR BAG. I HAVE PROOF THAT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP WAS ADVISED ON DECEMBER 14, 2022. THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR SIX (6) MONTHS AND CANNOT GET IT CORRECTED.
I was approaching a stop sign and slowing down to < 10 miles and the engine continued to slow down and the car started to push forward while I was totally pressing on the brake - it did not want to stop and kept pushing forward. I wasn't sure what was happening and quickly put it in neutral. My daughter who drives the car to school was sitting in the passenger seat and was completely shocked. I have been driving for 30+ years and at that moment felt things were totally out of my control. Extremely off to see a car keep going when you are trying to stop. I could 100% have hit someone if there was a car in front of me as I went two car lengths before realizing what was happening. I turned the car off. Started again and it was fine. This happened on Saturday, March 26th, 2022. I have not taken the car to the dealer. There were no lights or anything indicating any warning.
My hood latch isn't holding when I'm highway driving at 60MPH. The hood will pop open. I've seen the new recall on the news for the newer vehicles but it is also happening on my 2004. I believe that year needs to be added to the list.
Transmission locked up while driving and wont drive after I stored the vehicle Iam glad no one was behind me on the freeway there is a extremely huge problem with this transmissions the government needs to get this kind of vehicles checked out at Honda before someone loses his life
I bought this 2004 Honda Pilot new in 2004 in Louisville. In 2018 I drove to Florida without incident. While here in Florida I have had a problem with oil leaking. Than the compressor for the air went out and I took it straight to the dealer here. They told me it was not worth fixing. Since then I have had 2 mechanics look underneath the car and said it was so rusted that the frame was dangerous and they could not risk fixing it. I have checked with other Honda owners only to find out this is a problem with numerous Honda years and no one fix this problems because of liability . I have photos of the rusted out rear-end and the frame is not attached. You can find owners trying to weld the rear-end back on. No one will repair my compressor because of the rust and damage. When I had it at the dealers they did not mention this problem at all. They just said it was not worth fixing. My car has about 200000 miles but has has its service. This has to be a major recall or replacement. We could have had a major accident over this and didn't know [XXX] Please call or forward communication. DRIVERS REAR STRUT METAL FATIGUE FAILURE AT KNUCKLE CAUSED SHOCK ABSORBER TO DROP AND SLICE WHEEL.
MY CAR WAS RUNNING JUST FINE I'VE HAD NO ISSUES THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME I HAVE OWNED IT TILL NOW AND I CANNOT PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION IT TAKES ME LIKE 10 MINUTES OR MORE TO PUT THE KEY IN AND IF I TAKE THE KEY OUT WHEN I GET TO MY DESTINATION IT TAKES ME 10 MINUTES OR MORE TO PUT THE KEY IN AGAIN JUST TO DRIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE OR BACK HOME. I'M PRETTY SURE THAT IT SHOULD BE ON A RECALL BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT WOULD BE. AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH WAY I PUT THE KEY IN IT WILL NOT GO IN AND I HAVE THREE KEYS AND EACH KEY DOES THE SAME THING.

PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED WHILE VEHICLE IN OPERATION. MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, 65 MPH, NO IMPACT, NOTHING HIT OUR CAR, NO REASON. I WAS SITTING IN PASSENGER SEAT. WHEN GETTING WORK DONE BY LICENSED MECHANIC, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE REAR FRAME BEING SOO RUSTED THAT THE SHOCK ABSORBER WAS NOT ATTACHED BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT TO ATTACH IT TO. I WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T FIX IT AND I SHOULD CONSIDER GETTING RID OF IT. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS RE-STARTED BUT LACKED FORWARD MOMENTUM. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC PREVIOUSLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,300.
WENT TO GET A OIL CHANGE FOR MY CAR AT AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND THE TECH SHOWED ME THE RUST ON THE SUB FRAME, ESPECIALLY AROUND THE REAR MOUNT. THE RUST WENT THROUGH THE FRAME AND THERE IS A BIG HOLE AROUND THE DRIVER SIDE REAR MOUNT. I WAS TOLD THIS HAPPENED TO SOME OTHER HONDA PILOT.
WHILE ON THE 605N FREEWAY CLOSE TO THE 10 FREEWAYSPLIT OUR ENTIRE SUNROOF WHICH THE GLASS AND COVER DITACHED FROM OUR VEHICLE AND FLEW OFF. LUCKILY THE CAR BEHIND WAS NOT HIT FROM WHAT I SEE IN THE RECORDING BUT WE CAN'T SEE IF IT FLEW ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FREEWAY. MY CHILDREN WERE SEATING IN THE MIDDLE ROW AND SMALL DEBRI HIT THEIR FACE. WE PULLED OVER TO THE EMERGENCY SIDE OF THE FREEWAY TO CHECK DAMAGE. ALL THAT'S LEFT FROM THE SUNROOF IS THE GLUE.
UPON ENTERING THE VEHICLE AND SITTING IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT, I HEARD A LOUD POP AND THEN NOTICED THAT THE SEAT WAS EXTREMELY LOOSE AND WOULD ROCK BACKWARDS AS IF SOMETHING WAS BROKEN. I REMOVED THE SIDE COVER AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A FAILED SEAT MOUNT BRACKET THAT HAD BROKEN IN HALF. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY UNDRIVEABLE UNTIL THE SEAT IS FIXED SINCE THE SEAT SWAYS BACKWARDS ON ACCELERATION WHICH COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT. I AM NOT AWARE OF ANY ACTIVE RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE BUT I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE MOUNTING BRACKET FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
CAR WOULD NOT. MOVE IN ANY GEAR, LET SIT OVER NITE STARTED CAR AND MADE IT HOME WITH NO PROBLEM

CONVERTOR SPITTING METAL WHICH LEAD TO MY TRANSMISSION GOING BAD.

I WAS DRIVING WIT MY FAMILY IN THE CAR POOL LANE WHEN WITHOUT WARNING MY VEHICLE STARTED BRAKING HARD AND ACCELERATING, BACK AND FORTH, LUCKILY THERE WASN'T TOO MUCH TRAFFIC OR MOST LIKELY THIS SITUATION COULD HAVE CREATED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT . I GOT OFF THE FREEWAY AND NOTICE THE TRANSMISSION MUST BE STUCK IN 2ND OR 3RD GEAR. I DOUBT MY HONDA PILOT IS AN ANOMALY, SINCE THERE'RE LOT OF VIDEOS ONLINE ABOUT THIS VEHICLES TRANSMISSION ISSUES.
ON 06/21/2014, I WAS ENTERING MY VEHICLE WHEN A BRACKET CONNECTED TO THE ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (PART# 81630-S3V-A30) BROKE. THIS OCCURRED ON THE DRIVERS SEAT. DUE TO THIS, THE SEAT WAS NO LONGER SECURE TO THE FLOORBOARD AND STARTED ROCKING BACK AND FORTH. I SEARCHED HONDA PART RECORDS AND I WAS UNABLE TO FIND A SPECIFIC PART NUMBER ASSIGNED TO THIS BRACKET. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT THE TIME OF THE BREAK. BUT, WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE SEAT WAS UNSTABLE AND HARD TO KEEP IT STILL. A SEARCH OF NHTSA RECORDS FOUND THE FOLLOWING COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE SAME ISSUE - 10583003, 10578612, 10567737, 10541789, 10505250, 10489089, 10488805, 10466947, 10455702. I TOOK PICTURES OF THE BROKEN BRACKET. IT APPEARS METAL FATIGUE MAY BE AN ISSUE.
WHEN ACCELERATING AWAY FROM A STOP LIGHT, I HEARD A "POP" SOUND AND MY DRIVER SEAT SUDDENLY HAD A "ROCKING" ISSUE. THE DRIVER SEAT NOW ROCKS BACKWARD WHEN ACCELERATING, AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE AND DOING A VISUAL INSPECTION I FOUND THAT A METAL "L" SHAPED BRACKET THAT MOUNTS THE SEAT BOTTOM TO THE SEAT FRAME HAS SHEARED OFF AT THE RIVET POINTS. THIS CREATES A HAZARD WHEN DRIVING AND I FEAR IN A CRASH, THE SEAT COULD BECOME UNATTACHED FROM VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPLETELY PUTTING OCCUPANT AT INCREASED RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH FROM AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT OR EJECTION FROM VEHICLE! DURING AN ONLINE SEARCH, I FOUND SEVERAL OTHER REPORTS OF THE SAME ISSUE TO NHTSA...THOSE REPORT NUMBERS ARE 1058303; 10578612; 10567737; 10541789; 10505250; 10489089; 10488805; 10466947; 10455702. I CONTACTED HONDA AND WAS TOLD SINCE THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY WOULD DO. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD!!! WHY DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO BE KILLED BEFORE THE ISSUE IS FIXED?!? WITH SO MANY REPORTS ALREADY BEING LOGGED STATING THIS SAME PROBLEM, I WOULD THINK SOMETHING WOULD BE DONE ABOUT IT. THIS IS JUST AS DANGEROUS AT THE AIRBAG ISSUE THAT RESULTED IN A RECALL.
THIS AFTERNOON AS I ENTERED MY CITY STREET PARKED, 2004 HONDA PILOT, FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE, I HEARD A LOUD SNAPPING SOUND AS I SAT DOWN. THE DRIVER'S SEAT, SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE SOUND, ROCKED BACK, OBVIOUSLY NO LONGER SECURELY MOUNTED. UPON INSPECTION I FOUND THE FRONT LEFT 'L' SHAPED SEAT MOUNTING BRACKET HAD SHEARED IN TWO, IN LINE WITH THE TWO HOLES THAT THE SECURING RIVETS PASS THROUGH. THE BRACKET FAILED AND TORE, APPARENTLY THE METAL IS NOT THICK ENOUGH TO RESIST THE FORCES PLACED ON THE SEAT. PERHAPS RELATED TO THE SIZE OF THE RIVET HOLES.
RINSING WITH WATER OF THE UNDERCARRIAGE AFTER EXPOSURE TO SALTED ROADS AFTER SNOWFALL (ROUTINE PRACTICE) I NOTICED FLAKES OF RUST BENEATH THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I CRAWLED UNDER THE VEHICLE TO OBSERVE EXTENSIVE CORROSION OF THE CROSS MEMBER THAT THE REAR SUSPENSION STRUTS ARE ATTACHED TO. THE REAR DRIVER SIDE AREA WHERE THE STRUT IS CONNECTED IS CORRODED TO THE EXTENT WHERE THE MOUNT IS PARTIALLY EATEN AWAY AND A LARGE HOLE HAS FORMED. THE OTHER STRUT MOUNTING AREA IS CHARTING THE SAME COURSE AND IS SUBSTANTIALLY CORRODED. SHOULD A STRUT DISCONNECT FROM THE VEHICLE A LOSS OF CONTROL WOULD OCCUR. THE APPROXIMATE MILEAGE OF THE VEHICLE IS 107000. NO OTHER PARTS OF VEHICLE APPEAR TO BE CORRODED TO A LEVEL APPROACHING THE REAR. I WILL LOOK AT THE FRONT END TO INSPECT MORE CLOSELY FOR CORROSION DAMAGE AND TO TAKE PICTURES. VEHICLE WAS PARKED (STATIONARY) WHEN THE CORROSION WAS OBSERVED.
PURCHASED A 2004 HONDA PILOT USED AT 136K MILES. WITHIN A WEEK OF DRIVING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. ENGINE CODES P0700, P0705, P0740 WERE ALL PRESENT, WHICH ARE ALL IN RELATION TO THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE TRANSMISSION SHOP CONFIRMED THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE ACROSS HONDA & ACURA VEHICLES IN THE '03-'04 RANGE (SEE 2003-2004 ACURA MDX SERVICE BULLETIN 06-003). A DESIGN FLAW IN THE TORQUE CONVERTER CAUSES IT TO BREAK DOWN & SHED METAL FRAGMENTS, WHICH COMPROMISES THE REST OF THE TRANSMISSION. THE ONLY REAL FIX IS TO REBUILD OR REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. HONDA AMERICAS CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSED TO REVIEW MY CASE ANY FURTHER, EVEN UNDER GOODWILL CONSIDERATION.
OK THE VEHICLE STALLS ON HILLS, BECOMING NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO PROCEED, AND SIMULTANEOUSLY EMITS A GRINDING-SCRAPING SOUND SEEMING TO COME FROM THE FRONT-END PORTION OF THE UNDERCARRIAGE. SO, FAR IT HAS ALWAYS MANAGED TO CONTINUE RUNNING/MOVING FORWARD DURING AND AFTER. IT JUST FEELS LIKE THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS BADLY, AND NEAR THE END OF SLIPPING/FAILING. I LOOKED UP IT'S VALUE ON A WEBSITE, AND A WARNING BOX POPPED UP NOTIFYING ME THAT MY PILOT'S YEAR MAKE & MODEL HAS 6 SEPARATE MANUFACTURER'S RECALLS. UPON LOOKING FURTHER, I SEE THAT-INDEED-ONE RECALL IS FOR THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS! THEN, WHEN I DID ANOTHER SEARCH, SPECIFIC TO MY VIN #, I SAW THAT MY PARTICULAR PILOT DOES NOT HAVE ANY RECALL ON IT. YET, NOW, THE TRANSMISSION IS FAILING, AND I ONLY JUST PURCHASED MY CAR AT THE END OF JANUARY, 2019....I WANT TO AT LEAST MAKE MY BEST EFFORT TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS OF ATTEMPTING TO GET A TRANSMISSION RECALL ON MY CAR-SINCE I NOW THAT OTHER 2004 HONDA PILOTS HAVE GOTTEN ONE. I AM FILING MY COMPLAINT TODAY BASED UPON THAT KNOWLEDGE, DESPITE THE HIGH MILAGE ACCUMULATED ON MY SPECIFIC PILOT. THERE'VE BEEN ABOUT 10 SEPARATE OCCURANCES OF THE STALLING-GRINDING TRANSMISSION "DEATH THROES" SINCE I ACQUIRED IT, ALL TOOK PLACE AT LOW SPEEDS ON URBAN STREETS, AND HALF *5 OR 6 TIMES) HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING UP A LARGE HILL, THE REST ON FLAT CITY STREETS. I HOPE THIS IS SUFFICIENT INFO FOR THIS COMPLAINT TO BE PROCESSED. THANKS
KEY WILL NOT NOT TURN IN IGNITION TO START CAR. TRIED SPARE KEY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS FROM GOOGLE, TURNING STEERING WHEEL, BRAKES, DISCONNECTING BATTERY. LOCKSMITH CHARGE TO REPAIR $300+, PER COMMENTS ON GOOGLE BETTER TO REPLACE OR WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. COST TO REPLACE $600+. TRIED TAPPING AROUND KEY HOLE WITH SCREWDRIVER & HAMMER WHILE SOMEONE TURNED KEY, DID NOT WORK.
REAR SUSPENSION CROSS MEMBER SUPPORT RUSTS OUT DUE TO DESIGN. OVER TIME WATER IS THROWN FROM TIRE AND RESTS IN THE SUPPORT NUT AREA. OVER TIME RUST BUILDS UP AND THE SUPPORT BREAKS THROUGH THE REAR CROSS MEMBER. NO WAY FOR THE WATER TO ESCAPE. I AM SUPPLYING ONE PICTURE OF MY CAR SHOWING WHERE RUST HAS STARTED. TWO ADDITIONAL PICTURES ARE FROM THE SHOP FIXING MY CAR FOR ANOTHER ISSUE SHOWING ANOTHER CUSTOMER WITH THE SAME ISSUE, BUT MUCH WORSE. YOU CANNOT BUY THE CROSS MEMBER DUE TO HOW THE CAR IS MADE. SO THE FIX IS TO CUT OUT THE RUST AND WELD IN A NEW SUPPORT. THE CAR SHOP WILL RUST PROOF AND PUT A WATER RESISTANT FOAM OVER THE NEW SUPPORT NUT ENSURING THE RUST WILL NOT RETURN. MY COST OF THIS REPAIR FOR BOTH SIDES IS JUST SHY OF $2000. MY OPINION IS THIS IS A FACTORY DESIGN FLAW THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY HONDA. NO RECALLS FOR THIS ISSUE EXIST, AND YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE BACK END SUPPORT POTENTIALLY COLLAPSING AS YOU ARE DRIVING. THE ISSUE WAS CAUGHT BY THE TRANSMISSION SHOP DOING OTHER WORK ON 12/18/2018. THEY JUST FIXED THE OTHER CUSTOMER'S PILOT (2004) WITH THE SAME ISSUE (PICTURES I ATTACHED) AND HAD THE FORESIGHT TO LOOK AT MY 2004 PILOT. SO FOR SAFETY REASONS I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO HAVE THEM APPLY THE SAME FIX.

TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING JERKING IN AND OUT OF GEAR. CAN'T CHANGE INTO ANY OTHER GEAR BUT DRIVE.
MAJOR REAR END CORROSION. FRAME & WHERE REAR END CONNECTS TO BODY. TOLD BY 2 BODY SHOPS & AN AUTO MECHANIC TO STOP DRIVING. THE BACK END COULD DROP OUT.
LEANED BACK AND TURNED AROUND TO BACK OUT OF PARKING SPACE AND LEFT FRONT SEAT BRACKET ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT BROKE. HAVE TO BRACE MYSELF WHILE ACCELERATING FORWARD SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE HAVE READ MULTIPLE OCCASIONS OF THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER PEOPLE. AFRAID THE OTHER BRACKETS WILL BREAK SHORTLY AFTER. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
