I have a 2007 Honda Pilot. While just taking off again from a stoplight, the passenger side, "curtain-side" airbags randomly deployed. The airbag light had been flickering on and off - it would then be on for a few moments, and turn back off, flicker again, and remain off, for about a day and a half, two days prior to this happening. There was no collision. There was no pothole. There was no harsh breaking or takeoff. There was no agitation to the vehicle to demand this deploy. It happened out of nowhere and for no reason. I have called my insurance company to total out the vehicle as the repairs will cost more than the vehicle is worth. I am waiting for a call back, though they were extremely hesitant and said that they most likely will not cover because there was no collision. The Pilot was in perfect working condition prior to this event. I had my 12 year old dog in the backseat at the time, who was laying with his head next to the back passenger door. He hasn't been acting normal since the incident. He's been acting subdued and despondent ever since. He nosed my arm during the seven minute ride back to the house, after the airbags randomly deployed. I didn't want him in the front seat, as I was afraid that the passenger dash airbag would also randomly deploy. I had to put my seat further back and hold my head against the head rest as I was also afraid of the steering wheel airbag randomly deploying before I got home as well. After it happened, I immediately rolled the windows down due to the chemical smell, and stayed in the right lane in case I had to quickly pull over. Which is no way to safely drive. I have not driven it since. Since the passenger side window was covered with an airbag I was "blind" on that side for the rest of the drive home. I stayed in the right hand lane, and luckily the only left turn I had to make was at a light with a left turn signal and light. After the airbag deployed the airbag light remained on for the rest of the ride home.
The 2007 Honda Pilots rear subframe suspension mounting points and the driver side rear sping and shock support rusted away so bad that the driver side wheel collapsed, fortunately it was discovered just in time before there was an major accident, had this happened at full highway speeds it would have been a disaster, this unfortunately seems to be a common problem on the 2003-2008 Honda Pilots according to online forums. Everything else on the Pilot was working great at the time, was quoted $5000 to fix from a local body shop which is way too much so the vehical needed to be sent to the salvage yard at a great financial loss. Like most people I did not think to look under the vehical when I purchased it used in 2022, everything seemed solid, just had a rusty look like a lot of older MN vehicals so it gave a false sence of safety, I feel that the 2003 to 2008 Honda Pilot needs to be recalled or provide a manufacturer buyback and taken off the roads ASAP if they are in any of the salt belt states.
The contact owns a 2007 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware that the driver's seat belt and the rear passenger’s side seat belt located in the second and third rows were inoperable. The contact stated that the seat belt failed to function properly and would not latch correctly. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 204,000.
instrument panel warning light w/driver & air bag is on! Stopped by the Honda Dealer & was told It wasn’t safe for me to drive for if I got into an accident the bag wouldn’t work! I’m [XXX] & drive in traffic to shop! They told me it would be expensive just to check it. I don’t feel I have done anything to cause the problem but would like to be under recall so I could have it fixed! Now I don’t feel safe driving it! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
* Rear Frame Corrosion on my 2007 Honda Pilot EX * This is causing instability issues with the potential risk of the subframe uncoupling from the rear frame rail. * No, but a visual inspection clearly shows heavy corrosion. * No warning lamps or messages but the vehicle is showing signs of instability while in drive.
My airbags have been recalled. This is an American (MPH on the dashboard) car and Honda Canada said they cannot fix it here. I will have to drive to America to fix it.
Subframe rust prevented vehicle from passing inspection even though (From Honda) "but extensive testing has concluded that vehicle stability will be maintained”. TSB: MC-10209071-0001.pdf (nhtsa.gov)
Dealer sold me a lemon car with broken and rotten parts on the car. Dealer never stated the car was messed up or needed the major work it needs now. Dealer at one point took the car to go get inspected at a shop located on 705 Jefferson Ave , "and hour later he came back with the car and parked it. Couple days later dealer called me to go get the inspector form form the inspector " Gilbert/Tony". While viewing the paper correctly, the car was never inspected properly. Once I was able to take the car to a shop to do my own inspection they stated to me that I was sold a lemon car and it would be almost thousands to fix the car "more then i had purchase the car. I called the dealer back multiple times and sent msgs to the dealer regarding the vehicle dealer then blocked my number and the mechanics phone I used to call him after he blocked my number. As of now I am trying to figure out a way to get this car fix and filing a complaint report against this dealer to at lease get justices from this dealer and for him to get his business SHUT DOWN due to selling people as in myself broken lemon cars.
Lamont sold me a lemon vehicle. Lamont managed to get a false inspection form and provided it to me and stated the vehicle has passed inspection. Once vehicle was taken to multiple mechanic shops to find out if its even able to be fixed and as 3 mechanics stated I was sold a lemon car and they are "Unable to fix" the problem. Lamont was contacted on multiple times through calls/text msgs, and voice mails and as of today none of my calls were answered. Lamont then blocked my number and continued to avoid me and the car situation he put me through. I've been trying to reach him every day since the last time he gave me the vehicles documents. I am filing this report to the best of my knowledge with the information he gave me for the vehicle. I would love to get a refund back of all my money spent for this vehicle that was sold to me as a lemon.
Both front headlights on low beam suddenly stopped working, high beams work as do the rest of the indicator lights on the vehicle, I have replaced the bulbs, checked fuses and relays and switches and they still do not work. An issue that has been recalled on earlier years and is very common on my model year with no assistance from Honda.
Rear Subframe rust because of bad quality metal is leading me to call the junk yard, although everything is working fine in the car, still I have to get rid of it because is not safe to drive.
Driver's seat front left mounting bracket snapped. Seat now rocks backward under pressure or during acceleration, and runs the risk of detaching completely in a collision. Over one hundred reports of similarly compromised driver's seats in Honda Pilot series 2003 - 2007 (mine is a 2007). Available for inspection upon request. Honda needs to issue a safety recall before injuries and fatalities start occurring.
The rear subframe is completely rusted out where the trailing arm is attached. I was looking to see if I could purchase a used Pilot on line and maybe do an engine swap and was shocked how common this problem is. Many owners were selling there Pilots for parts because of this problem. I originally noticed this while inspecting the cause of the vehicle swaying from side to side at speeds over 40mph.
I noticed a few months ago Honda CRV’s from the approximate years 2006-2013 were issued a recall because of frame rust caused by salted roads up in the northern USA. My 2007 Pilot is experiencing the same issue and was wondering why there wasn’t a recall on my vehicle. The Pilot spent most of its lifetime up in the Boston area. Thanks
In mid 2023 while driving I excellerated and the driver seat fell backwards and to the right about 5 inches. I pulled over and discovered something under the left hand front side of driver seat had broke. I had a box and other stuff in the trunk and put it in the backseat to prop it up while I drove home. Discilovered a week later the side bracket had broke. And it was a part riveted onto the main seat. I had it welded but didn't trust the weld alone. I started fabrication of a bracket overlay (Honda wanted a fortune for the one part). After months of it being parked over the winter I bought another 2007 Honda Pilot for parts. Sad that Hondas quality has declined. Very dangerous, and the same thing had happened to a lot of other owners. Not something that should happen at any mileage. Ours had about 176k on it.
Passenger air bag lights continuously on. Took to mechanic, mechanic said it’s most likely a bad sensor or a wiring issue that’s causing the failure. That’s all I could find out without tearing into it any further. He ran all the tests and nothing shows that the sensor is bad. But he said it doesn’t make sense that it’s showing it’s bad. He is leaning towards wiring. Wiring??? I haven’t touched that.
Car would not respond during normal operation, was in gear but would not accelerate. After I was pushed to the side of the road, I restarted the engine. And was able to drive a block away to my home at a very reduced speed. It will now only run at a very low speed, therefore inoperable.
The whole underneath sub frame, floor which it connects to, the left & right frame rails are completely rotted away so the shocks are hanging without a piece of frame on them.Completely unrepairable. Not worth fixing. What shall I do? This is a significant safety issue & concern . My mechanic will not give this an inspection sticker until it is road safe.
I was driving the car on a one way street. When the A/T Temp came on, the car slowed down and then eventually stopped. I was 1min from my destination. I got it towed home, til I can get it to the shop. I just brought the car. The mechanic said the transmission has a lot of metal piece inside of it.
I experienced a sudden unintended acceleration while coming to a full stop at a traffic light. The vehicle kept accelerating around 5k RPM on it's own without pressing the gas pedal. I was able to stop the vehicle by engaging the emergency brake. I was very close to cause an accident today. My mechanic said there's no engine code and can't find anything wrong.
WE WERE TRAVELING THE FREEWAY AND AS WE DROVE DOWN THE ROAD THE LOW BEAMS TURNED OFF. FORTUNATELY HIGH BEAMS WERE STILL FUNCTIONAL.
While driving the vehicle home after purchase on 6/11/2022 the vehicle experienced automatic, minor brake application. However, when we applied the brakes it was as if they fully locked up. By the time we got to the side of the road all of the brakes were smoking. It has been returned to the dealership 3 times for the same issue and they currently have the vehicle. They have experienced the same issue when they were trying to fix the issue but they cannot seem to figure it out. While I was investigating, I noticed that the 2005 Honda Pilot had the same issue, and the recall was started for the 2007 Honda Pilot also but was never issued. It makes it very unsafe to drive.
The contact owns a 2007 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that the rear bumper and the two edges of the corner of the chassis were corroded. The used car dealer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The local dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 146,000.
Front blower motor resistor keeps going out and have replaced several times. Something is causing the part to burn out.
While driving, both low beam headlights stopped working. High beams and all other bulbs still work. Checked filament of low beams and no burn or black residue.
While driving with six on board (car holds up to 8) I hit a moderate bump. The car made a loud bang, and felt unstable. At the same time, ABS, VTM-4, and stabilty warning lights came on. I was in a construction zone with no place to stop, so I kept going. The instabilty seemed manageable, so I kept going to an exit. On the ramp, while cornering even slightly, there was a rubbing sound from the rear wheel area. In a straight line, it sounded okay, but didn't feel right. When we were able to park and get out, the rear wheels were splayed out (extreme negative camber) as if the car was grossly overloaded, even though if was empty. Upon inspection, I found that the two rear mounts for the subframe had completely pulled out of the unibody. The subframe had rusted from the inside, so there was no appearance of structurally significant rust until it failed. When the suspension subframe pulled away, it pulled apart the wiring for the ABS, etc. This is a very unsafe condition that appeared with no warning. A quick internet search shows that it's also quite common.
AFTER REPAIR SHOP DONE $2,600.00 IN WORK, VEHICLE WHILE IN MOTION ON I-40 EAST, MISFIRED AND BLOW THE HEAD GASKET, HEAD, AND MOTOR ACCORDING TO HONDA SHOP. REPAIRS ESTIMATE ARE KNOW AT $6,000.00. THE REPAIR SHOP HAD SAID NOTHING ABOUT MILEAGE IN REPAIRING THE VEHICLE THE FIRST AND NOW STATES SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
TMY VEHICLE, A 2007 HONDA PILOT IS SUBJECT TO A RECALL, AND I ONLY, IN THE LAST TWO DAYS, BECAME AWARE OF SAME. I CALLED A LOCAL DEALER BUT THE PERSON ADVISED THAT THEY COULD NOT MAKE ANY REPAIRS AT NO COST TO ME.
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW FELL ALL THE WAY DOWN PAST WHERE IT SHOULD EVEN STOP. THIS WINDOW IS SELDOM USED IF EVER. BOUGHT NEW RETRACTOR, IT HAPPENED AGAIN WHILE CHANGING IT.
I WAS A DRIVING DOWN A ROAD AT 35 MILES AN HOUR AND I NOTICED THAT THE D INDICATOR STARTED BLINKING. SOON AFTER THAT MY PILOT LOST AL POWER AND IT STARTED TO VIBRATE VIOLENTLY . I PULLED OVER BECAUSE I WAS HOLDING UP TRAFFIC AND I WAS ABLE TO GET IT HOME BECAUSE FORTUNATELY I WAS ONLY BLOCKS AWAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA PILOT. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, A BURNING RUBBER ODOR WAS DETECTED ALONG WITH A THUMPING VIBRATION AND NOISE; WHEN BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED THE BRAKES DID NOT RESPOND NORMALLY BUT THE THUMPING VIBRATION WAS EVEN MORE APPARENT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED THAT THE BRAKE CALIPERS WERE LOCKING UP AND RUINING THE ROTORS; AFTER REPLACEMENT OF CALIPERS AND ROTOR, THE PROBLEM PERSISTED WITH EXTENSIVE OVERHEATING OF THE BRAKES. IT WAS THEN DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST MODULE HAD FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MECHANIC CONTACTED THE CLOSEST HONDA DEALER (APPROXIMATELY 70MILES AWAY) WHO ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE RAPAIRED BY THE MECHANIC AND NOT DRIVEN TO THE DEALER DUE TO THE LIKELIHOOD OF F ULL BRAKE LOCK UP OR FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000. THE DEALER TESTED THE REPLACED PART (VSA MODULE) AND DETERMINED THAT IT HAD IN FACT FAILED DUE TO AN INTERNAL SHORT. *BF*JB
TIMING BELT/TENSIONER RESULTING IN LOUD NOISES. ALREADY REPLACED ONCE AT 100K NOW RECURRING AT 148K.
I HAD BEEN HEARING A NOISE AS I TURN THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS INSPECTED IN JULY 2019. TWO WEEKS AGO I STOPPED FOR A QUICK CHECKUP BEFORE A LONG TRIP AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. THE UNDERCARRIAGE NEAR THE WHEELS HAS CANCEROUS RUST BEYOND REPAIR.
DRIVER'S SEAT ROCKS BACK AND FORTH WHEN IN MOTION
ON 09/09/2019 1:00 AM I WAS AWAKENED BY NEIGHBORS THAT MY 2007 HONDA PILOT WAS ON FIRE, POLICE AND FIRE DEPT. RESPONDED AND PUT OUT THE FLAMES, FLAME WERE IN SIDE DASH BOARD, CEILING, LEFT AND RIGHT QUARTER PANELS, SUN ROOF AND HOOD BURNED, FRONT BURNED, PLASTIC MELTING AND FIRE EVERYWHERE, FLAMES WERE 1 TO 2 FT. HIGH, ALL FRONT LIGHTS IN VEHICLE BURNED AND MELTED, WIRES HANGING, HALF THE FRONT VEHICLE TOTALED, DURING DAY LIGHT IT WAS VISIBLE TO SEE HALF THE DASH BURNED COLAPSED MELTED, YOU CAN SEE FUSE BOX PROTRUDING HANGING UNDER DASH. WIRE HARNESS, ELECTRONICS, COMPUTER, BURNED. THIS DOES NOT EVEN INCLUDE DAMAGE INSIDE ENGINE UNDER HOOD, FLAMES WERE REACHING OUT OF HOOD. NEIGHBOR HAS SECURITY CAMERAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF CAR, WHEN SHE GETS BACK FROM TRIP WE'LL SEE HOW IT STARTED I HOPE. I HAVE POLICE REPORT AVAILABLE AND PICTURES ATTACHED; YOU ARE WELCOME TO VISIT AND INSPECT VEHICLE. IT'S A TOTAL LOSS.
THE PASSENGER SEATBELT MECHANICAL SPRING IS RUSTED OUT. HONDA ONLY WARRANTIES IT FOR 150K MILES. THIS BEING A LIFE SAVING PIECE OF EQUIPMENT IT SHOULD HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY AND ENGINEERED WITH A STAINLESS SPRING.
WHILE WE WERE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. GOING 55 MPH WHEN THE LIGHTS OF THE RADIO AND THEN THE LIGHTS ON THE CONSOLE BEGAN TO FLICKER THEN THEY STAYED DIM MY VERTICAL WOULD LOSE POWER AND THEN WOULD GET POWER LIME THE GEAR WAS SLIPPING THEN CATCHING. IT WOULD MAKE THE CAR LUNGE FOWARD THEN STOP THEN LUNGE TOWARD AGAIN .THEN THE A/C STARTED TURNING OFF AND ON
LOW BEAM WILL NOT ACTIVATE....HI BEAM WORKS...BOTH LOW BEAM BULBS ARE GOOD. I HAVE 175K MILES ON IT AND BOTH LOW BEAMS STOP WORKING. LOW BEAM WILL NOT ACTIVATE WHILE MOVING OR SRATIONARY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA PILOT. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY BRAKED WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED. ALSO, THE STABILITY CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON ANOTHER OCCASION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LEGENDS HONDA KANSAS CITY (LOCATED AT 10050 PARALLEL PKWY, KANSAS CITY, KS 66109, (913) 871-9483) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VSA MODULE (CODE 841) NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 09644189. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.
THE FRONT DRIVERS SEAT BRACKET HAS BROKEN. AT FIRST IT STARTED ROCKING, THEN AFTER A FEW DAYS I HEARD A CRACK AND REALIZED THAT THE BRACKET ON THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF THE SEAT WAS BROKEN, WHEN I TOOK OFF THE SIDE COVERS AND COULD SEE IT. THE SEAT NOW FALLS BACKWARDS. THE CAR WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE HAS ABOUT 196K MILES. GIVEN HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE HAS NOT BEEN A SAFETY RECALL. IF IT HAPPENS WITH NORMAL USAGE, THEN IT WILL HAPPEN IN AN ACCIDENT. THESE BRACKETS WERE NOT ENGINEERED WITH SAFETY IN MIND.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA PILOT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STABILITY ASSIST INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND, SHORTLY AFTER, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO JERK. MCCONNELL HONDA (2840 EASTERN BLVD, MONTGOMERY, AL 36116) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,174.
ONE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT HAD GONE OUT AFTER HONDA OIL CHANGE. THEN A WEEK LATER THE SECOND LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT HAD GONE OUT. I HAVE NO LOW BEAM LIGHTS!! I WAS DRIVING WHEN MY LAST LOW BEAM HAD GONE OUT. IF I DIDN'T HAVE DOG LIGHTS AND MY BRIGHTS I COULD HAVE CRASHED.
DRIVERS SEAT FELT LIKE IT WAS LOOSE AND ROCKING SLIGHTLY, THEN ABOUT 1 WEEK LATER, FELT WORSE. I SLID IT BACK TO SEE IF A BOLT CAME OFF, AND TO MY SURPRISE, THE STEEL BRACKET HOLDING SEAT TO SLIDING MECHANISM HAD COMPLETELY BROKEN OFF! I DO NOT WEIGHT MUCH AND THE CARE HAS NOT BEEN IN ACCIDENT, SO I BELIEVE THE ENGINEERING OF THE BRACKET IS INSUFFICIENT AND CAN LEAD TO A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY WHEN MY SEAT BROKE, SO FORTUNATELY, NO ONE WAS INJURED.
VSA LIGHT IS ON AFTER DISCONNECTING BATTERY. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. SEEMS TO BE THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE 2005 HONDA PILOT RECALL.
VSA, VTM-4,ABS LIGHTS IS ON. CAR GOES TO LIMP MODE. AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND OFF.
I NOTICED MY PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT FAILED TO OPERATE. MY HUSBAND REPLACED THE LAMP(BULB) AND CHECKED THE FUSES BUT THIS DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH, I FOUND PREVIOUS HONDA PILOT MODELS WITH THE SAME ISSUE THAT WERE RECALLED FOR FAULTY HARNESS HEADLIGHT ISSUES. HOWEVER, HONDA HAS FAILED TO RECALL THE MODEL YEAR 2007 FOR THE SAME EXACT ISSUES. MOST OWNERS ON FORUMS WITH 2007 PILOTS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AT OR AROUND 150,000 MILES. MY PILOT HAS 154,000. THE HIGH BEAMS WORK AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE IS NOT AFFECTED. IN ADDITION TO THIS PROBLEM THE YELLOW REFLECTOR BULB IS NOW NOT WORKING. IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE ENTIRE UNIT STOPS WORKING. THE PROBLEM EXISTS WHILE IN MOTION AND STATIONARY.
The driver side door lock does not work, which, by what I read on the internet, is a very common problem.
ON APRIL 4, 2018, I IDLED INTO NARROW DRIVEWAY AND COASTED LEFT TO PARK IN PARKING SPOT. UPON TRANSITIONING FROM GAS PEDAL TO BRAKE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED FORWARD AT FULL FORCE PULVERIZING THE CEMENT PARKING BLOCK, JUMPING THE CURB AND LANDING ON TOP OF THE HEDGEROW BEYOND THE CURB. THE ENGINE WAS REVVING AND THE BRAKE WAS INEFFECTIVE IN STOPPING THE VEHICLE. THE FRONT TIRES WERE IN THE HEDGES UP OFF OF THE GROUND WHILE THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN THE PARKING SPACE. I TURNED OFF THE CAR. AFTER COMPOSING MYSELF I REVERSED THE CAR BACK DOWN INTO THE PARKING LOT. I WAS ALONE IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS VEHICLE HAD AN ACCELERATION ISSUE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO TRANSITION FROM THE GAS PEDAL TO THE BRAKE. THE FIRST TIME 3 PEOPLE WERE IN THE VEHICLE AND THE INCIDENT RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT WHEREBY WE REAR-ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE CAUSING SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. POLICE WERE CALLED TO THE SCENE AND AN ACCIDENT REPORT WAS RECORDED ON JUNE 17, 2017 IN SPRINGFIELD TWP. NJ.
THE RELATIVELY NEW TIRE (29000 MILES DRIVEN) DID BURST ON THE SIDE. THE DISCOUNT TIRE STORE REPRESENTATIVE COULDN'T EXPLAIN WHY? I HAVE PICTURES THAT I CAN SEND YOU. IN ADDITION TO THE BILLS I INCURRED IN THE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT. TOTAL COST $140.30 IN TOTAL. THE DEALER BELIEVES IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA PILOT. WHEN THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE ENGINE REVVED AS IF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS BEING DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (SOUTH MOTORS HONDA, 16165 S DIXIE HWY, MIAMI, FL 33157 (305) 256-2250), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
