ve had the 2024 Honda Prologue in for repair for service high voltage system 5 times. The car was purchased on 20 Jan 25, the first time was on 17March 25 and the car had 1880 miles, the second time was on 13 Oct 25 and the car had 7141 miles, the third time was on 23 Oct 25 and the car had 7357 miles, the 4th time was on Nov 3 and the car had 7421 miles, the 5 times was on 17 Nov 25. With the service high voltage system problem it affects the charging ability of the car, the max charge I can get is 25% which vives me a driving range of 70 miles. When the car was in for the 5th visit they also had to replace the driver side front axel because of bad cv joint, they also found the passangers side front axle was s also bad but could not replace it because of back order on parts with no ETA. Both of thse a re safety issues, not knowinf if the front end might collapse or if I get the service high voltage system warning when I am not near a charging facility. I feel that I am a prisoner to this car and am afraid to drive it far from home. What I understand is that Honda is not making any serious effort to fix these problems. i beleive it will take a few deaths before Honda steps up and takes responsibility.
Cv joints clicking. Local Honda service department is aware of the problem, but no fix for it. Service high voltage battery with reduced power. This just came up that limits driving. Heater stopped working. Infotainment center will black out on and off every time I turn on the car. Very dangerous when I forget and I’m backing out of my garage.
the automatic emergency braking system in both forward and reverse is to sensitive and violently slams the brakes when there is no risk of a collision. the most recent incident involved making a left hand turn where there was a little overpass wall on the passenger side of the street i was turning onto. with cars behind me the vehicle slammed the brakes as i was going approx 10-15MPH , startling myself and all 3 passengers and almost causing me to be rear ended. the vehicle also slams the brakes in reverse when there are no objects in the way predominately if it is raining out. it's a harsh violent stop and can cause an accident or injury. due to this incident the vehicle is back at the dealership for a total of 3 appointments and 32 days in repair for this issue and they still have not remedied the issue
When I turn my car right, about 1 out of every 5-10 times, the suspension makes a pinging sound. After doing some research, I found that the pinging is caused by faulty CV joints.
1. Parking sensors will go off at the most random times. The most common is when I’m at a standstill at a traffic light and the front parking sensors will start beeping as if I am as close as possible or about to hit an o next in front of me. 2. Rear parking sensors consistently alert and beep when there is nothing behind me. For instance I was backing out of a parking spot with no cross traffic or anything behind me. As I was trying to back out it slammed the breaks and came to a sudden stop. It did this again until I pulled the car back into the parking spot and backed out again. This will also happen when I am backing the car into and out of my garage. I don’t have anything beside me or within the guide lines but it will out of nowhere come to a sudden stop and not let me back up anymore. 3. I had one instance of emergency breaking. We were coming to a stop when out of nowhere the emergency breaking stopped the vehicle. We were at a slow rate of speed at this time. Maybe 10mph when it slammed the breaks on to come to a complete stop about 10 yards behind the vehicle in front of me. It did this twice within a few second period causing a motorist behind me to almost hit me.
During turns to the left, there is a noticeable "clicking" sound that I can hear inside the cabin. I have not heard the noise when turning right. Research I've done seems to indicate this may be a CV joint issue on the vehicle. I am going to take it in for service shortly, but since it appears to be common among other vehicles of the same type I decided to file a report for tracking.
My CV Axles or joints make a clicking sound when turning both left and right. It happens more on left turns. It appears that this is a common issue with Honda Prologes and Blazer EV.
Dashboard warning "High Voltage System Service Soon" came on while driving. Phoned dealer. Made service appointment. Started car and warning notice had disappeared. Drove car to dealer, who checked and told me there were "multiple error codes relating to various electrical issues" and "the case is going to be elevated to Honda's tech/engineering team." The car will be at the dealership for 7 days at this point.
The vehicle clicks when making turns. It only has 15k miles on it.
At approximately 13k miles we started hearing a clicking noise when turning. Took it into the dealer they said it was a known issue with the drive axle and they need to replace the left drive axle. I asked them if they should replace both if it is a known issue but they said just the left. After a few weeks, since they ordered the wrong part, then the part they needed was on back order, they returned our car and said they would call us when the part was in. After a couple weeks of driving the car around they called and said the part was in and we brought the car to the service center and after a few days said that there was still an issue and they need to look into why it is still making a noise. They call us back and told us they need to replace the right drive axle as well and that it would be a while so they will provide us a loaner. We are waiting on the car to be fixed and am not sure when it will be ready.
Clicking noise from the axel joints when turning. Already replaced once and happening again. Worried it is a safety issue.
The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while reversing, the rear-view camera screen was blank. The contact stated that the battery was not fully charged. Additionally, while making a left turn, there was an abnormal clicking sound coming from the front passenger’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times. The contact was informed that the front axle needed to be replaced. The contact was advised not to fully charge the battery. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the Warranty Department had to approve the request for a loaner vehicle, to allow the repairs to be performed. The contact stated that the request was submitted in December 2025, however the vehicle was still not repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V112000 (Back Over Prevention, Electrical System). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
I am submitting this complaint regarding a recurring safety defect in my 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN: [XXX] ), serviced at AutoNation Honda Chandler in Chandler, Arizona. Most recent service reference: Invoice #XXX. The vehicle has experienced a repeated knocking noise coming from the right front wheel area, particularly when turning right or left at low speeds with the steering wheel fully turned. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failure of the front wheel drive half shaft (outboard passenger axle) and replaced the component. This same part has now failed three times. Despite multiple repairs and part replacements, the problem continues to return. The front axle/half shaft is a critical drivetrain component, and failure of this part can affect steering control and vehicle stability, especially during turning. Between all service visits, my vehicle has been at the dealership for nearly one month in total. Most recently, my third appointment was canceled, and I was informed that there is currently no solution available for this issue. I am extremely concerned about the safety of operating this vehicle due to the repeated failure of the same drivetrain component and the lack of a permanent repair. This ongoing situation has caused significant stress and raises serious safety concerns. I am requesting that this matter be investigated, as it appears to be a recurring defect affecting a critical vehicle component. Front axels had constant clicking sound and required replacement
Unknown When turning vehicle makes noise (Looks like CV joint noise)
The car is clicking and clunking whenever a turn is made. Honda said they can’t fix the issue because they don’t see any visible damage to the CV joint or lower control arm at this time.
The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle briefly failed to start as expected, but internal electronics showed signs of power. After which, the message "Battery Low" and "Service High Voltage System" were displayed, even though the battery indicator showed that the battery was charged to 90%. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The Hybrid Battery warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who informed the contact that the vehicle was functioning as intended during the time it was in the service center for diagnosis, and no faults were found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,900.
Automatic Emergency Braking often triggers for no reason when backing up this vehicle. This is a safety issue 1) Random stops in a parking lot are disorienting to both the driver of the car and the drivers around them 2) The AEB system creates a very hard stop. During the last incident I was with my father who had recently had neck surgery and had additional pain for about 2 days after the false AEB trigger. Thankfully, it did not trigger any long term complications.
Very loud noises coming from the front wheels, as if something is broken. I've already taken it to the dealership, but they haven't fixed anything. They just say it's normal. I'm afraid of causing a serious accident because I think it's a problem with the front suspension or steering.
I have a 2024 Honda Prologue EX AWD, leased new, with approximately 16,000 miles. At approximately 13,000 miles, I started to hear clicking/cracking from the front of the car while turning under either acceleration or braking. I soon learned that this was a common issue with the Prologue's front axles. I had my local dealer inspect it in November 2025, and they heard the noise. However, I was told that Honda had instructed its dealers not to replace any defective axles until a suitable replacement part was developed. The service manager advised me that this was not a safety issue. I disagree with this assessment. As the axles are a critical component, I feel my safety is at risk when driving this car.
The cv joint is knocking upon turning in either direction I'm concerned for my safety.
Turning left or right, the cv axle clicks as if it’s going to crack in half. It’s been happening for months now. I’m scared to drive the car.
When driving my Honda 2024 Prologue there is a loud, persistent, clunking or popping sound whenever I turn. The dealership says it's related to the axle and/or the ball joint and there is no fix, neither is there a recall, so there is nothing they can, or will, do. This cannot be safe. When I'm driving at freeway speeds and go to turn into another lane to hear this clunking sound is very unnerving. Looking on line I know I am not the only one with this issue - there are many, many other car owners citing the same concern. Please issue a recall or safety warning so that Honda will address this issue.
CV joints making a clicking noise when turning. Right Honda in Scottsdale AZ diagnosed it Nov 2025. As of Jan 2026, there are still no parts to repair after calling the dealership to get an update.
I was driving my car and suddenly I received high voltage battery warning and I had to stop my car in between of freeway.
Both front axles began clicking/clunking at 10K miles on the odometer. Taking to dealer to have CVs replaced this week under warranty. Worried that this will be quite expensive and lemon law once the warranty runs out.
Vehicle drive shaft make clicking noise at the cv joint while turning left or right.
Broken/Defective CV axles. Clicking noise occurs when turning both left and right. Vehicle has been to the dealer and dealer has reproduced and noted the issue. Dealer stated nothing can be done due to no fix from Honda.
The front clicks and pops when turning left and right, both on throttle and off. Does not have to be a tight turn. Simply turning into a side street, no bumps or anything abnormal makes a racket and kind of scary due to how loud it is. Started when the car had less than 5,000 miles and I think it's worse when it's cold outside. Speeds that cause this are anywhere from 0 to 35 miles an hour. Dealer said it should be fine and to wait for a call. Its been a while ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The vehicle makes clicking/popping noises when steering. It starts only when turning the wheel hard one way or the other. As the problem gets worse, turning slightly is enough to make clicking noise. CV Joints/Axles have been replaced every 3,000 miles on my vehicle; around 3,000 and 6,000 miles. Honda seems to be aware of this issue, but is using the same parts to replace the bad joints every time. So it seems the problem is destined to repeat itself over and over. I am wondering when this will become a safety issue. Especially once my warranty runs out and it becomes exorbitant to replace the joints for myself.
CV joints clicking when turning Service eCall keeps coming on Warning light on next to battery range with an exclamation point over the car. The manual indicates its a system malfunction that can be related to vehicle stability assist (VSA) electric power steering (EPS). My safety has not been put at risk. I am scheduled to have the car inspected and repaired on 1/19/26.
CV Joints making loud clicking noise. Dealer says Honda will not fix.
When driving vehicle noticed clicking noise in front passenger cv axle, it was a constant issue when turning to the right or left. Took to dealership they were able to replicate the issue and ordered the replacement part. Part took 7 days to arrive and was subsequently installed onto the vehicle causing the issue to go away. Recently the front driver side CV Axle has started to make the same noise when turning left. Dealership was unable to replicate and refused to fix. Car had 6000 miles on it when issue first happened. Front Driver side CV Axle happened around 8000 miles.
Broken/Defective CV axles. Clicking noise occurs when turning both left and right. Vehicle has been to the dealer and dealer has reproduced and noted the issue. Dealer stated nothing can be done due to no fix from Honda.
The issues I am experiencing for approximately the past five to six months include:- Forward Collision System showing the message “Forward Collision System Unavailable.” Adaptive Cruise Control displaying “Adaptive Cruise Temporarily Unavailable.” Rear parking safety system applying sudden braking even when there is no pedestrian, vehicle, or object nearby. Even when the system is set to “Alert Only,” the vehicle still applies the brake unexpectedly.
This car presenta High Voltage Issue, I bring the car to the services 3 times. AND i see online a lot of people with the same problem
Major amount of "Clicking/Clacking" when Turning . . . has progressively gotten worse over the past year until a few months ago when it "Became More Consistant" ==> Took vehicle to Avalon Honda to properly diagnose and record with the Manufacturer's, eg., Honda/GM
The axel in the front of the car creeks and cracks, making a clicking sound as I make any left or right turns in the vehicle at any speed this is an ongoing issue.
axle is deteriorating and make a clicking, vibrating and loud noise when turning or driving
CV joint clicking. Both had to get replaced at 5K miles.
A few months ago there was a grinding and loud knocking noises being generated from passenger side of vehicle. Over the course of a month the noise became louder and louder. The issue was reported to Honda dealer as soon as issue started 10/13/25 however the soonest the Honda dealer could get it in for service was 10/29/25. The dealer notified us that both front axles needed replaced however the parts were on back order. The Honda dealer submitted an emergency request for parts from Honda. The parts arrived and were installed 11/4/2025 when the vehicle roughly had 9,000 original miles.
Clicking noises when turning. Turning left worse than right. Sounds like bad CV joints. Car only has 13,000 miles on it.
Car is 12 months old and we every turn left or right excel make noise cut cut cut.... Axels are not good and this has been going on the past 3 months
The CV joints started clicking loudly on both sides after less than 5000 miles of driving on the car.
I have had multiple issues with this vehicle and it has been in the shop more than 80 days between April and Oct 2025. First, the entire battery system went out in the all electric vehicle. Honda said that since it was a collaboration car with GM, that it would take a long time to fix because their technicians weren’t very familiar. It took almost 8 weeks in the shop before we got it back. Not long after, the entire dash (electronics) went out and the shop had it again for over a week. they never found or could replicate the issue. The vehicle went back in after having multiple incidents of emergency braking when there was no emergency, or even vehicles in my vicinity. The final time this happened, I was traveling nearly 25 miles per hour and the car decided to slam on the brakes, making me feel like I hit a brick wall. My head slammed the steering wheel and my daughter was terrified. I drove it straight to the dealership and they said “what’s wrong with the car this time”…they had it for weeks, couldn’t replicate the issue and tell me it’s fine and to take it home. They suggest TURNING OFF THE SAFETY STSTEM AS A FIX, which seems criminal. The safety features should work properly. I shouldn’t be instructed to turn them off. I am very frustrated and have been working with Honda on a buy back out of good faith, but it’s been weeks and we have no answer. I am forced to drive a gas vehicle, costing me gas money now, when I bought an electric vehicle to avoid this cost. All around, it has cost me more money than it’s been worth and I’ve made multiple car payments as it’s sat at a dealership unusable. Again, it has spent more than 80 days in 6 months at the dealer with no resolution. My sound system blew out last time they had it checking out the braking issue so I waited another week to have that replaced, meanwhile the fix to the braking system was that I was told to turn the safety feature off. Insane
The right side passenger CV joint makes loud clicking sound turning.
Loud axle clicking when turning from both wheels
Three major problems stand out: faulty CV joints/axles that produce loud clicking or knocking noises when turning, false activations of the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, which I had to turn off, and high-voltage system failures that can disable charging or limit performance. Other concerning issues include steering malfunctions, infotainment system blackouts, USB-C not connecting, battery not charging to 300mi range, forward collision sensor false activation, and braking anomalies.
My vehicle began producing loud clicking and popping noises from the front drivetrain during low-speed turns and acceleration around October 2025 at approximately 8,000 miles. I brought the vehicle to a Honda dealership for inspection, where the service department confirmed that both front CV axles were defective and recommended replacement. The replacement parts were initially backordered but have since arrived at the dealership. However, Honda has informed the dealer that the company is currently investigating this issue and does not consider it a safety concern at this time, and dealers have been instructed not to replace the axles unless there is obvious physical damage. As a result, the dealership has not repaired the vehicle despite diagnosing both axles as defective. I am concerned that premature failure of both front axles could lead to drivetrain malfunction or loss of power to the wheels while driving.
Clicking noise while truning the vehicle at low speed. The sound seems to be coming from CV joints from front axles. Early on, I did not pay much attention becuase the there were a small number of clicking sound. But as the time has passed, I hear clicking sound has become more prominent.
