I feel that this is a huge safety issue as I have 3 grandchildren that I watch everyday and have to have 2 of them in the 3rd row and 1 in the middle section, I love this vehicle but know I am afraid to drive it when I have them. This should be fixed immediately. Every day that there is not a fix is a day that I am putting my grand children's life in danger
Have attempted recall repairs 2 times. Was told I needed to reschedule since parts not available. I brought my vehicle in for repair 3/30/2026 @ 8:20. After noticing my car in back parking lot that did not move from at least 8:50am to 10:10am, I asked service representative what was happening. I was told I need to bring back at a later date when seatbelt parts are in. This process would take 4 hours. I made them aware that my front passenger seatbelt comes undone often.
I opened a case with Hyundai corporate due to the safety recalls, one being the second row seat belts and now the ejection recall for the third row passenger. I was told to use caution only to my request of a loaner or rental reimbursement. Hyundai is NOT honoring rental reimbursements as they submitted.

This issue poses a direct risk to the safety of [XXX] upants. Description of Safety Issue: Safety Recall of seat belt buckles unlatching during use of vehicle. A letter was sent to me by mail in January to replace seatbelt buckles due to unlatching during use of vehicle. Hyundai states that “this recall involves the seat belt buckle assembly in the front and second row outer seating positions”. Repair History: •March 17, 2026: [XXX] from Pohanka Hyundai Parts Department left a voicemail stat [XXX] she “received a set (seat belt buckles) in for you today” and “um so I can only hold them for a little while if you could reach back out to me”. I called her right back to let her know I would be in either on Thursday or Friday afternoon. •March 20, 2026: Vehicle brought to Pohanka Hyundai of [XXX] for Recall of seat belt buckle assembly at 13:53. Invoice # [XXX] er # XXX , that states “XXX 1ST/2ND RW SEAT BLT BUCK REPL. I waited in the lounge until 13:53 when service writer let me know my car was ready. When getting back into my car, I checked the new seat belt buckle assembly only to find that they were never swapped out for the new ones. I then let the service writer know and he said “what do you mean?” I then explained to him that they were the old because they were dirty, with dust and dirt in the “PRESS” release button. I then asked to see my old parts and a set of new parts to be able to compare. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
On December, 2025 I received notification from Hyundai de Puerto Rico (Sojitz de Puerto Rico Corporation) informing about the Hyundai Recall Number 283 (NHTSA Recall Number 25V-607) regarding the seat belt buckle assemblies problem (See attached notification document). On January 27, 2026 I took my Hyundai Palisade 2020 to the programed appointment at Hyundai de Cupey, Ave. Ponce de León, #1385, San Juan, PR 00926 for the inspection and replacements of my seat belts buckle assemblies. For my surprise, the service advisor Ms. Adleni Vazquez informed me that there was no such recall and that they were proceeding with an extended warranty on the vehicle seat belt assembly system. She also told me that they would only act during that warranty extension period if I could prove a malfunction of the seat belt buckle assemblies. I showed the safety recall notification letter and the action required to the service advisor, but still they denied the inspection of seat belt buckle assemblies. The advisor showed me the Hyundai de Puerto Rico instruction regarding the matter which is only to provide an extended warranty. (See attached document). My vehicle was just serviced for an ECU upgrade of the emission system which I was told was the only recall pending (See attached Service job document). Do I or my passengers need to be involved in an accident and suffer injuries or even death because my vehicle was one with the faulty buckle assemblies before I can make a claim and be provided with the needed service and remedy? I think this “extended warranty” argument used in Puerto Rico for recall 283 is a dangerous excuse for not providing the service required. Please, investigate this important safety issue and Hyundai de Puerto Rico’s noncompliance. Once again, this is a serious issue that requires a prompt remedy. Due to is physical nature, it cannot be remedied merely with an “extended warranty”. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
The system does not alert me if someone is sitting in 3rd row without seatbelt. No one has been injured, but i noticed it in January 2026. Not sure how long it has been happening.
I have a seatbelt recall and the parts are still in back order. I don’t feel safe driving my car since my seat belt did come in clapped while driving
We scheduled in advance and confirmed recalls to have seatbelts recall serviced. Lost the entire day waiting for the service department to tell me they did not have the parts. The recall was mishandled and communication was kept to a minimum regarding the service noone knew about not having parts until the end of the day, which was 7 hours after our scheduled visit. A full day of work was lost and we are risking our child in a car seat on one of the affected seats. .the air bag recall also affects our means of transportation as we are risking travel each day. The dealership has not been helpful.
Engine started burning oil at around 70,000 miles. It now runs almost completely out of oil at around 5,000 miles since last oil change, not even close to reaching the manufacturer recommended interval of 7500 miles between oil changes. On top of the engine consuming oil at an alarming rate, there are no warning indicator lights that turn on to let you know your oil level is critically low. At around 74,000 miles?, Hyundai did a combustion cleaning. I've had two oil changes and it was back to vibrating, knocking, shifting hard, etc, right before a 3rd one at 5,300 miles since the last one and it stalled. The vehicle has now stalled twice, all engine lights flashed, then car stalled. Thankfully, this was not on an interstate or major road. This is a major problem!

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.
Vehicle was in an accident. Impact was at driver front fender. Driver side curtain air bags deployed. Car spun after impact and went into the woods stopping when it hit a tree. Front and passenger airbags did not deploy.
I rent my vehicle on the Turo app Market and depend On it as income. When this recall occurred the vehicle was suspended from the platform as it was being rented out to a client and was not informed during the recall as she was driving it, therefore putting her at risk, as well as myself as a host. Its been a month and now I am unable to do business or drive the car knowing the potential consequences stated by the recall indefinitely.
