WIND NOISE BOTH FRONT WINDOWS ONLY WHEN A/C IS ON DURING DRIVING. *TR
WIND NOISE / WHISTLING WHEN REACHING SPEEDS OVER 45MPH, WHICH IS VERY DISTRACTING WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE - BOTH DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS FRONT DOORS. VEHICLE ALSO HAS A GARLIC SMELL AFTER LEAVING THE VEHICLE UNATTENDED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR, SMELL MAYBE SOME TYPE OF CHEMICAL.
WHISTLING NOISE IN DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WHEN THE CAR GOES OVER 70 MPH AND THE WIND HITS THE WINDOW AT THE RIGHT ANGLE. 3 FIXES AT THE DEALERSHIP, INCLUDING NEW SEALS. SERVICE MECHANIC SAID ALL THE CARS ON THE LOT HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, WHICH IS VERY DISTRACTING.
I DO NOT FEEL THAT THIS VEHICLE IS COMPLETELY SAFE. THERE DOOR/WINDOW AREA IS NOT SEALED PROPERLY. I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY OR AT A HIGH SPEED BECAUSE THE DOOR AREA SEEMS UNSTABLE.
WIPER SYSTEM APPEARS TO HAVE BUILT IN PROTECTION FOR THE MOTORS THAT WILL STOP THEM ANYTIME SNOW BUILDS UP IN THE WINDSHIELD WELL. THIS HAPPENS EVEN IF THE WINDSHIELD AND WINDSHIELD WELL ARE COMPLETELY CLEARED PRIOR TO STARTING A DRIVE. I'VE HAD TO PULL OVER TWICE ON THE HIGHWAY TO STOP THE VEHICLE, CLEAR THE SNOW, TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON TO START THE WIPERS TO WORK AGAIN. AGAIN, TO BE CLEAR, ALL SNOW WAS REMOVED FROM THE WINDSHIELD PRIOR TO DRIVING.
WIND NOISE OCCURS WITH WINDOWS/ DOORS, TO INCLUDE THE SUNROOF. IT OCCURS AT ALL VEHICLE SPEEDS. WHEN THE CAR IS SITTING, A 10MPH GUST OF WIND ALSO CAUSES THIS NOISE. THE SUN ROOF IS THE WORSE WHEN IT COMES TO THIS NOISE, BUT THE SHADE DAMPENS THE SOUND, SO IT'S NEVER OPEN.
WINDSHIELD CRACKS EASILY. KIA HAS THE SAME ISSUE WITH TELURIDE AND KIA IS REPLACING FOR FREE IF THERE ARE CRACKING ISSUES.
TWO ISSUES: 1. WARNING INDICATOR COMES ON ALONG WITH A WARNING THAT READS "CHECK BLIND-SPOT COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM." THESE WARNING COME ON AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES, AND COME ON EVEN WHEN NO OTHER VEHICLES ARE AROUND OR IN BLIND-SPOT. SEEMS TO BE A FAULTY SENSOR. AT TIME OF WRITING THIS, VEHICLE ONLY HAS ABOUT 500 (FIVE HUNDRED) MILES. 2. LOUD WHISTLE/WIND NOISE FROM COMING IN FROM DRIVER SIDE DOOR. OCCURS WHEN TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 50+ MPH. SEEMS LIKE THE DOOR IS NOT SEALED PROPERLY, EVEN THOUGH IT IS SHUT ALL THE WAY. LOUD NOISE COULD CAUSE DRIVER TO BE UNABLE TO HEAR EMERGENCY SIRENS, WHICH COULD BE FATAL OR CAUSE TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS. WITH BOTH ISSUES THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY. THE WARNING INDICATOR WITH THE BLIND SPOT WARNING WILL EVEN STAY ON WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PULLED INTO A LOT, COMES TO A STOP, PLACED IN PARK, AND WITH NO ONE AROUND.
Windshield cracks easily. It is a known issue and Hyundai has yet to recall it. Will have had to replace my windshield twice in two years for incidents that should have resulted in no crack or a small crack. Kia has addressed the issue on the Palisade's sister vehicle, the Telluride but Hyundai has not even offered to replace them for free or reimburse owner costs when they have made a faulty part. It's hazardous and costly and should have been recalled immediately for the safety of their drivers.
BLIND SPOT SAFETY WARNING KEEPS POPPING UP AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 8-10 MINS. ALSO A LOUD WHISTLING NOISE FROM DRIVERS SIDE LIKE IF YOUR WINDOW IS OPEN. VERY ANNOYING WHISTLE SOUND.
1) FIRST ISSUE WAS A CRACKED WINDSHIELD WITHIN THE FIRST 500 MILES. DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, NO FOREIGN OBJECT, SUDDENLY A CRACK STARTED TO FORM. 2) SECOND ISSUE IS A BLIND SPOT WARNING SYSTEM ALERT WHEN NO CARS ARE PRESENT. 3) THIRD ISSUE IS AUTOMATIC WIPER THAT SUDDENLY COME ON WHEN NO RAIN OR DEBRIS ARE PRESENT. 4) FOURTH ISSUE, BUT FAR FROM THE LAST, IS THE ONGOING WIND NOISE PROBLEM THAT HYUNDAI CAN’T SEEM TO SOLVE. IT IS SO LOUD ON THE HIGHWAY THAT THE DRONE IS LOUDER THAN THE RADIO. I’VE MEASURED THIS AS HIGH AS 86DB.
WINDSHIELD WILL CRACK WHEN BARELY HIT WITH ROCKS ON ROAD. I'VE HAD VEHICLE LESS THAN 10 MONTHS AND 1ST CRACK HAPPENED 3WEEKS AFTER I GOT VEHICLE. AFTER 2 ND CRACK, 1 MONTH LATER, I TRIED TO GET IT FILLED BUT IT STARTED TO RUN SO HE HAD TO STOP. SINCE THEN, I'VE GOTTEN 2 MORE CHIPS. THE PLACE I TRIED TO HAVE FILLED HAS NOW RAN COMPLETELY ACROSS THE CENTER OF MY SHIELD, ABOUT 2 FEET!!!! I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO REPLACE ENTIRE SHIELD. I'VE HAD 2 GLASS REPAIR SHOPS SAY THEY WON'T TOUCH PALISADE SHIELDS BC THE GLASS RUNS AND BREAKS EASILY. I BELIEVE IT TO BE DEFECTIVE!!!!! I'VE NEVER HAD TO REPLACE A SHIELD IN 30 YEARS OF DRIVING AND HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE CRACK THIS EASILY. SOMETHING IS WRONG. *TR
The windshield was hit with a pebble at a low speed of around 35mph. There were no other cars within about 3 car lanes, so this was not a high-impact situation. However, the pebble cracked still cracked the windshield. The dealers confirmed that this model vehicle has a high incidence of cracked windshields that could potentially lead to injury or harm. I am worried that a truly high-impact rock would be life-threatening to the passengers.
This car has a vibration at highway speeds. I made the dealer aware of the issue and they said that the drive shaft needed to be replaced. They did the replacement and the vibration was still there. They then balanced the tires and that did not fix the issue. I went to a tire shop and had the tires balanced and did a 4 wheel alignment. The problem still exists. It does not make the car undriveable, but it is annoying and should not be happening. I do not know if this will have long term consequences on the drive train. The dealer now said they have done all they can.
WITHIN A MONTH OF USING MY VEHICLE IT GOT A SMALL CHIP/CRACK ON THE WINDSHIELD. I DONT RECALL HOW IT COULD HAVE HAPPENED. I FIND IT RIDICULOUS HOW WITHIN ONE MONTH I HAD TO GET MY GLASS FIXED.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED AT 600 MILES WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY.
WE PURCHASED OUR 2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE LIMITED SIX WEEKS AGO. CURRENTLY HAS 3000 MILES. THE BLIND SPOT COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM (BSCW) HAS A MALFUNCTION AND STOPS WORKING AFTER DRIVING A FEW MILES ON BOTH HIGHWAY AND CITY/COUNTRY ROADS. THERE ARE NO CARS OR TREES/OBSTACLES AROUND THE CAR WHEN IT DEACTIVATES. RESTARTING THE CAR RESETS THE BSCW SYSTEM, BUT IT MALFUNCTIONS AGAIN IN A FEW MILES. WHEN THE SYSTEM IS DEACTIVATED, WE CANNOT TURN OFF BLIND SPOT ACTIVE ASSIST--IT GIVES A CONTROLLER ERROR. WE TRIED SHUTTING OFF THE BSCW SYSTEM INDICATOR IN THE HEADS-UP DISPLAY. THAT DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM
HAVE WIND WHISTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW AT SPEEDS OVER 50 MPH.
THERE IS A VERY LOUD WHISTLING NOISE AT THE DRIVERS DOOR WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WITH A RIGHT TO LEFT CROSSWIND. I DISCOVERED THIS ON A 2000 MILE TRIP I TOOK RECENTLY, AND MY EARS ARE STILL RINGING TWO WEEKS LATER. I MAY HAVE HEARING LOSS.
TERRIBLE WHISTLING NOISE COMING FROM FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW/DOOR HAPPENS WHEN AT OR OVER 60MPH. TOOK TO DEALER AND CLAIMED THEY CORRECTED, BUT NEVER WENT AWAY. NOW GOTTEN WORSE AND SAME ISSUES COMING FROM DRIVER WINDOW/DOOR.
RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM MY HYUNDAI DEALER STATING TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT A FACTORY RECALL. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED OF AN AIRBAG PROBLEM SO I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR REPAIRS. SERVICE WRITER AT THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THE RECALL CONCERNED REPLACING SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS. I CHECKED THIS NHTSA WEBSITE AND THERE IS NOTHING CONCERNING A RECALL FOR AIRBAGS.

WHILE DRIVING OVER APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, WIND NOISE FROM DRIVER'S DOOR.
WIND NOISE COMING FROM DRIVER SIDE WINDOWS AT SPEEDS OVER 30 MPH
HEARING LOUD WIND NOISE FROM DRIVER'S DOOR WHILE DRIVING AT SPEED STARTING FROM 35 MPH AND IT BECOMING EVEN WORSE WHEN THE SPEED IS INCREASED.
GETTING A BAD WHISTLING SOUND FROM THE DRIVERS DOOR WHEN YOU GO ABOVE 50 MILE PER HOUR.
MAIN TOUCH SCREEN WILL NOT RESPOND WHEN IT IS COLD OUTSIDE. WE WERE AT OUR HOME IN WISCONSIN UNTIL OCT 30, 2019 AND IT WOULD NOT RESPOND TO TOUCH ( NAVIGATION WOULD RESPOND TO VOICE ONLY). NOVEMBER 4 UNTIL APRIL 4 2020 WE WERE IN ARIZONA ( TEMP IN THE 65-75 RANGE)AND HAD NO PROBLEMS. APRIL 4 TILL PRESENT IT WILL NOT WORK IN WISCONSIN (TEMP IN THE 40-50F RANGE). ALSO SCREEN GETS VERY WARM ALMOST HOT TO TOUCH WHEN IT WILL NOT RESPOND TO TOUCH. HOPPING IT WILL NOT START FIRE BEFORE IT GETS FIXED. *TR
WHILE IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY A VERY SMALL FOREIGN OBJECT HIT THE LOWER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER. THE SOUND OF THE HIT WAS BARELY AUDIBLE SO THE OBJECT HAD TO BE VERY SMALL. I DON'T SEE HOW SUCH A SMALL OBJECT COULD BREAK A WINDSHIELD ON A 2 WEEK OLD VEHICLE
LESS THAN 2 MONTHS INTO A BRAND NEW VEHICLE, THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED DURING A RAINSTORM ON THE HIGHWAY ALONG THE LINE OF THE WIPERS. NOTHING HIT THE WINDSHIELD OTHER THAN RAIN. THE DEALER IS MAKING US PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR RECALIBRATION AND TINTING, DESPITE THE FACT WE HAVE INSURANCE. SAFELITE IS REPLACING THE WINDSHIELD. IT TOOK 3 WEEKS TO GET THE WINDSHIELD. ALSO, THE STEERING MOTOR HAD TO BE REPLACED IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS.
WIND NOISE FROM FRONT DRIVER & PASSENGER DOOR/WINDOW. INITIAL PROBLEM WAS LOW HUM/WHISTLE FROM DRIVER'S SIDE INTERMITTENT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. HAS HAPPENED MORE RECENTLY AT 50 MPH. MORE RECENTLY A HIGH PITCHED WHISTLE IS COMING FROM THE PASSENGER FRONT WINDOW AREA AT SPEEDS AS LOW AS 30 MPH. BOTH SOUNDS ARE VERY DISTRACTING TO THE DRIVER.
THERE ARE TWO COMPLAINTS... 1. WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, A CRACK DEVELOPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD, JUST BELOW THE REAR-VIEW MIRROR MOUNT. PER THE DEALERSHIP RECOMMENDATION WE WENT TO SAFELITE FOR AN OPINION ABOUT THE CAUSE, SINCE WE HAD NO MEMORY OF ANYTHING HITTING THE WINDSHIELD, AND THE SAFELITE MANAGER PROVIDED A WRITTEN OPINION (VIA EMAIL) THAT THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF IMPACT, AND IT WAS HIS OPINION THAT THERE WAS A DEFECT IN THE GLASS. HYUNDAI CORPORATE STATED THAT SINCE WE COULD NOT PROVE A DEFECT EXISTED, IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED BY WARRANTY. 2. SIMILAR TO SEVERAL OTHER COMPLAINTS, THERE IS A LOUD VIBRATION THAT EMINATES FROM THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW/DOOR WHENEVER THE VEHICLE REACHES 50MPH OR HIGHER. USUALLY A DECREASE IN SPEED MITIGATES THE NOISE, BUT IF CAN BE RATHER DEAFENING WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY.
PURCHASED VEHICLE AND WHEN WE DROVE IT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (64-75) THERE WAS A SEVERE VIBRATION WITH LOW FREQUENCY RUMBLING (SOUNDED AS THOUGH DRIVING ON RUMBLE STRIP). IF WE DROVE ABOVE 75 THE VIBRATION WOULD LESSEN. WE BROUGHT IN INTO THE DEALER AND ON THE FIRST VISIT THEY FIRST BALANCED TIRES, NO CHANGE NOTICED ALTHOUGH THEY GAVE US THE VEHICLE BACK. SECOND VISIT THEY REPLACED REAR TIRES AND FORCE BALANCED ALL TIRES, NO CHANGE. THEN THEY REPLACED FRONT TIRES AND REPLACED THE REAR DRIVE SHAFT AFTER HAVING TOLD US TWO WEEKS PRIOR THAT THEY HAD MEASURED THE FIRST ONE AND IT WAS WITHIN HYUNDAI SPECS. THE REPLACING OF THE DRIVE SHAFT IMPROVED THE LOW FREQUENCY VIBRATION BUT DID NOT COMPLETELY ELIMINATE IT. WE ARE CURRENTLY WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM HYUNDAI CORPORATE FOR A BUY BACK.
SINCE PURCHASING MY PALISADE, IVE FELT CONSTANT VIBRATING COMING FROM THE GAS PEDAL WHILE DRIVING. IT SEEMS TO HAVE GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE AND NOW FEELING VIBRATING IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND BRAKE PEDAL. THERE IS NO VIBRATING WHILE STATIONARY.
'CHECK BLIND SPOT COLLISON WARNING SYSTEM' ERROR MESSAGE APPEARS EVERY TRIP AFTER 10-15 MINUTES. MY PALISADE ALSO STEERS TOWARD THE CENTER LANE AND DOES NOT STAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LANE AS INTENDED. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE BEING SO CLOSE TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, AND IT CAUSES ARM FATIGUE TO KEEP STEERING AWAY FROM THE CENTER. FINALLY, THERE IS A GREAT DEAL OF WIND NOISE COMING THROUGH THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW/DOOR AS I DRIVE AT MEDIUM TO HIGH SPEEDS.
The vehicle experiencing excessive oil consumption without any external leaks. Since February 2024, I have repeatedly reported this issue to the dealership. They required me to complete multiple 1,000 mile oil consumption tests and eventually performed a combustion chamber cleaning. Despite this, the oil consumption problem continues. As of today, after driving only 3,700 miles, the engine oil level was so ow that the dipstick did not register any oil at all. No warning lights or dashboard indicators ever came on to alert me to the low oil level. The dealership has acknowledged my concerns but stated that Hyundai considers this "normal specs". I strongly disagree, as the amount of oil being consumed poses a safety risk if the engine fails while driving. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer during inspections, but no permanent repair has been offered. The ongoing issue creates a serious risk to both my safety and the safety of others on the road due to potential engine failure from lack of lubrication.
