The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the windshield wipers were engaged and wiped across the windshield once and then stopped working. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V627000 (Visibility) and 22V633000 (Trailer Hitches) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the tow hitch fuse was removed. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure with the windshield wipers. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 100. Parts distribution disconnect. The contact stated that the trailer hitch issue was resolved. The wiper failure occurs regularly and even during clear, sunny weather conditions. Hyundai states that the wipers are operating at "normal function".
Two cracks to windshield that started spontaneously from the upper and lower edges of windshield when vehicle was only a few months old. Both cracks immediately lengthened 2.5 to 3 feet within 15 minutes of crack starting. Multiple small chips over past 2 years that have not occurred in our other vehicles that are driven similar routes and distances. It is evident that there is a problem as so many other owners have complained of the same issue . With the ease in which these windshields chip and crack , it is very concerning for safety in that it would likely provide little protection in a crash and it likely does not meet safety standards. Based on the major cracks starting spontaneously on the edges, it could be a problem with the frame/structure as well as lack of strength in the glass. Steps should be taken to correct this issue before serious injuries or fatalities occur.
Suspension has made a thumping/creaking noise from both side of rear since new. Brought it to two dealers and they could not fix. The problem has been only getting worse over time. I worry the rear shocks are another component is going to fail and the ride quality / road holding ability has also been getting worse. I have entered details for when the problem first started (essentially when new) but it continues to this date.
THE WINDSHIELD IS EXTREMELY FRAGILE AND PRONE TO CRACKING WHICH REQUIRES FULL REPLACEMENT. I ONLY HAVE 350 MILES ON THE CAR AND ALREADY HAVE A NICK FROM NORMAL EVERYDAY DRIVING. I DIDN'T EVEN HEAR OR SEE ANY HIT TO THE WINDSHIELD BUT IT STILL GOT NICKED. THE WINDSHIELD IS UNSAFE PLUS IT'S EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO KEEP REPLACING IT CONSTANTLY. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE THE CAR DUE TO FEAR OF WINDSHIELD DAMAGE.
VEHICLE HAS 5,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS HAD THE WINDSHIELD CRACK TWICE AT LOWER SPEEDS (LESS THAN 50MPH) WITH SMALL PEBBLES BEING KICKED UP OFF THE CITY STREETS. EACH CRACK RESULTED IN A FULL WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RECENTLY PURCHASED FROM GLOBAL HYUNDAI (1099 US-22, NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ 07060). THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE IN REVERSE, THERE WAS AN UNKNOWN FLASH ON THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM SCREEN BEFORE THE SCREEN BECAME INOPERABLE. SEVERAL SECONDS LATER, THE SCREEN RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION WITHOUT DRIVER INPUT. ADDITIONALLY, THE BACK OVER PREVENTION SCREEN WAS ALSO INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128.
Drivers side window stopped working one month after purchasing brand new. Took to dealership and was told the ICU junction box needed replacing, but they did not have any in stock because vehicle was so new. Was told that this junction box also controls the door locks and that it posed a safety hazard as it could prevent me from being able to get out of the vehicle, but that they could not be held liable for me driving vehicle this way. Once they took my vehicle it took 3 weeks to repair. Now, 2 years later, both front windows and sunroof do not operate.
DURING A HEAVY RAIN STORM WENT THROUGH A LOW LYING AREA AT LOW SPEED (25 MPH) WHERE SEVERAL INCHES OF WATER HAD PONDED. THE FCA SYSTEM SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES TEMPORARILY EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO KNOWN OBSTACLE. MY GUESS IS THAT THE FCA SENSED THE WATER AS AN OBSTACLE CAUSING THE BRAKES TO BE INCORRECTLY APPLIED. HAD SOMEONE BEEN BEHIND ME, IT COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE FCA SENSORS ARE ON THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE FRONT SO IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE SENSORS WERE MOMENTARILY SUBMERGED.
SMALL PEBBLE HIT WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING CALLED SATELLITE TO FIX AND WHILE FINISHING THE FIX THE COMPOUND POPPED OUT OF SMALL CRACK AND THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED MORE ALL THE WAY ACROSS.
WE HAVE HAD TWO INCIDENTS WITH OUR WINDSHIELD SINCE OWNING IT BRAND NEW FOR ONLY 8 MONTHS. THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS WHILE WE WERE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE-95 AND A SMALL ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING A SMALL CHIP TO THE DRIVER-SIDE BOTTOM CORNER THAT SPIDERED QUICKLY BUT WAS SMALL ENOUGH TO BE FIXED AND SEALED. THE SECOND INCIDENT WAS ALSO WHILE WE WERE DRIVING, THIS TIME ON INTERSTATE-81, AND A SMALL ROCK HIT THE CENTER MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD AND QUICKLY SPREAD AS A CRACK NEARLY 2-FEET LONG AND ANGLED. THIS CRACK COULD NOT BE REPAIRED AND THE WINDSHIELD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
I HAVE A SAFETY CONCERN WITH THE FRAGILE WINDSHIELD. THE GLASS IS VERY EASILY CRACKED WHICH CREATES A SAFETY CONCERN IF THE CAR IS EVER IN AN ACCIDENT. MY WINDOW BEGAN CRACKING WITHOUT WITH IMPACT WHILE DRIVING. THE CRACK WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE DASH AND ACROSS THE MIDDLE.
VEHICLE CAME WITH TOW HITCH SYSTEM FROM THE MANUFACTURER. WHILE USING A TRAILER HITCH THE HEAT FROM THE EXHAUST MELTED THE BACK END OF THE CAR, HEATED UP THE CARGO HITCH TO THE POINT OF MAKING IT HARD TO REMOVE FROM CAR, AND MELTING THE CARGO WEATHER PROOF BAG. THIS HAPPENED WITHIN A 2.5HR TRIP.
ROCK HIT WINDSHIELD ON HIGHWAY. I'VE READ THAT THERE ARE A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF CRACKED WINDSHIELDS ON THE PALISADE.
THE VEHICLE IS TWO WEEKS OLD WITH LESS THAN 1,000 MILES ON IT. THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED DOWN THE CENTER. THE VEHICLE WAS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY, IT WAS HOT AND THE AC WAS ON FULL. I AM THINKING THIS IS DUE TO DIFFERENCE IN TEMPERATURE?
HAD A SMALL ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE IN TRAFFIC. MY SPEED WAS MAYBE 50 MPH. THE IMPACT CREATED A VERY SMALL MARK ON THE WINDSHIELD. WITHIN 5 MINUTES, A CRACK FORMED THAT WAS ABOUT 3 INCHES LONG. BY THE END OF THE DAY, THE CRACK WAS OVER A FOOT LONG. I NEVER EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO GET THE WINDSHIELD FIXED.
LONG CRACK IN FRONT WINDSHIELD (HALF THE LENGTH HORIZONTALLY) OCCURRED FOR NO REASON (NO IMPACT). VEHICLE WAS PARKED/STATIONARY NIGHT OF 7/3 WITH NO CRACK WHATSOEVER, THE MORNING OF 7/4 HAD THIS HUGE CRACK.
MY WINDSHIELD LITERALLY JUST CRACKED. NO VISIBLE SIGN OF DAMAGE OR A ROCK HITTING IT. IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT. *TR
I WAS COMING BACK FROM THE RIVER ON RICE ROAD (177) ON FRIDAY 6/26. TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT AND THERE WAS A CAR IN FRONT OF ME BUT QUITE A DISTANCE FROM ME SO WHEN I HEARD THE WINDSHIELD CRACK, I WAS CONFUSED AS TO WHAT IT WAS. I CHOPPED IT UP TO FAR FLYING PEBBLE THAT GOT ME, NO BIG DEAL I HAVE INSURANCE COVERAGE TO REPAIR AND FILL IN THIS SMALL CHIP. I CALLED MY INSURANCE AND TODAY 'SAFE LITE ' CAME OUT AND WAS DOING THE REPAIR AND IT CRACKED HALFWAY DOWN TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE. NEVER SEEN A REPAIR CRACK THAT MUCH THAT FAST. I HAVE HAD PEBBLES HIT OTHER CAR WINDSHIELDS AND HAVE BEEN REPAIRED WITH OUT ISSUE. EVEN THE REPAIR PERSON SAID THIS WAS NOT NORMAL.
PALISADE WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHILE DRIVING, DIDN'T HEAR/SEE ANYTHING EVEN HIT WINDOW. UNDER 3500 MILES AND HAVE TO COMPLETELY REPLACE WINDSHIELD AND RE-CALIBRATE SENSORS NOW.
VIBRATION AT SPEEDS OF 64/65MPH AND UP. NOT SURE IF DRIVESHAFT OR TRANSMISSION. HYUNDAI HAS ISSUED A TSB BUT WILL NOT HONOR IT. I HAVE ASKED 2X FOR DEALER SERVICE DEPT. TO EVALUATE THIS PROBLEM. THEY SAID THEY DO NOT HAVE TO HONOR THIS TSB. I HAVE SEEN ON FORUMS OTHERS ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM WITH CARS MADE IN DECEMBER 2019. IT IS PAINFUL TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY AND I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS THE DRIVESHAFT, WILL IT BREAK? WILL THE TRANSMISSION FAIL? THIS IS A BRAND NEW CAR PURCHASED NEW AND IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY AND I CANNOT GET HYUNDAI TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM AND THEY HAVE SENT EMAILS SAYING TOUGH LUCK. THIS IS ANYTIME YOU ARE DRIVING ON INTERSTATES OR HIGHWAYS WITH SPEED LIMITS OF 70MPH..AT AROUND 64/65 CAR STEERING WHEEL, SEAT, FLOOR VIBRATES UNLESS YOU GO BELOW 63MPH. HAPPENS EVERY TIME. FIRST TIME WAS DRIVING HOME FROM DEALER ON HIGHWAY--BEEN REACHING OUT TO HYUNDAI USA SINCE JULY BEEN TO DEALER IN JULY, AUGUST...BUT ALWAYS TOLD APPOINTMENT WILL BE TWO WEEKS TO 6 WEEKS AWAY.
I BOUGHT THE CAR IN JAN 2020, AND FOUND THAT IT WAS LEAKING OIL ON JUNE 2020, AFTER 4500 MILES. THE OIL LEAK LOOKS TO BE SIGNIFICANT AS I HAD FOUND DROPS AND PUDDLES ON MY GARAGE FLOOR. THE OIL LEAK SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION/ENGINE CONNECTION AREA, OR POSSIBLY THE UPPER OIL PAN. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY STILL IN DEALER SERVICE FOR REPAIR. *TR
I PURCHASED MY CAR FEBRUARY 2020. IN MAY 2020, WITH APPROX 3,000 MILES ON IT, WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE, A SMALL ROCK HIT MY WINDSHIELD. UPON IMPACT, THE CRACK SPREAD ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. THERE WAS NO OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE "ROCK POP" FIXED. THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED, OEM, BY THE DEALER. IN JUNE 2020, WITH APPROX. 5,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. NO OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE "ROCK POP" FIXED AND WILL REQUIRE A SECOND OEM WINDSHIELD. ROCKS ARE GOING TO HIT WINDSHIELDS, BUT TO HAVE A CRACK IMMEDIATELY SPREAD IS NOT THE NORM. THE INTEGRITY OF THE GLASS SHOULD BE IN QUESTION. *TR
I WAS INVOLVED IN AN INTERSECTION COLLISION AND NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. *TR
2020 PALISADE WITH 15,000 MILES HIT BY A ROCK, LEAVING 2 DECENT SIZED CRACKS ABOUT AN INCH AND A HALF IN DIAMETER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE WINDSHIELD TOOK A WEEK TO ARRIVE AND BE REPLACED, WHICH IN THE MEANTIME THE CRACK EXPANDED ALMOST THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE WINDSHIELD, CROSSING OVER TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED AND TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE SENSORS RECALIBRATED. IN LESS THAN A MONTH FROM REPLACEMENT, A PEBBLE HIT THE WINDSHIELD, THIS TIME ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. NOW HAVING TO REPLACE A SECOND WINDSHIELD IN LESS THAN A MONTH. AN EASY ONLINE SEARCH SHOWS THAT THIS HAS BEEN A VERY COMMON EVENT AMONG OTHER 2020 PALISADE OWNERS.
18' CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD FROM AN UNDETERMINED SOURCE, NORMAL DRIVING. CRACK WAS NOTICED AFTER RETURNING TO THE VEHICLE IN A PARKING LOT, NOT PARKED UNDER ANY TREES. *TR
SMALL PEBBLE HIT WINDSHIELD AND IT CRACKED...LESS THAN 30 MINUTES FROM PICKING IT UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT REPLACED THE FIRST WINDSHIELD THAT CRACKED FROM A SMALL PEBBLE. HYUNDAI IS REFUSING TO PAY FOR THE DEFECTED WINDSHIELD. RESEARCH SHOW THOUSANDS OF OWNERS ARE DEALING WITH WINDSHIELD, WIPERS, AND WIND SOUNDS. *TR
THE WINDSHIELD ON THIS VEHICLE IS DEFECTIVE IN THAT ANY MINUSCULE IMPACT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO COMPLETELY CRACK IT. I HAVE NOW HAD TWO WINDSHIELDS REPLACED WITHIN THE LAST 5 MONTHS FOR PRESUMED IMPACTS THAT WERE NOT EVEN PERCEPTIBLE FROM WITHIN THE VEHICLE. I'M NOT EVEN CERTAIN IF THE CRACKS WERE IMPACT RELATED AT ALL. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW AND HAVE YET TO OWN IT FOR A YEAR. THE WINDSHIELD ON THESE VEHICLES SEEMS TO LITERALLY BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO HIGH SPEED GRAINS OF SAND. MY FIRST CRACK COMPLETELY BLOCKED MY FIELD OF VISION AND MADE THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I HAVE OTHER VEHICLES THAT ARE OVER 10 YEARS OLD FOR WHICH I HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE WINDSHIELD, AND ARE STILL DRIVEN ON THE SAME ROADS AS THIS 2020 PALISADE NAVIGATES. THIS IS NO COINCIDENCE, SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THESE WINDSHIELDS AND SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT UNLESS THIS IS THOROUGHLY REVIEWED AND INVESTIGATED. *TR
2100 MILES AND THE DIGITAL AND ANALOG SPEED ODOMETER BOTH STOPPED WORKING. THE GAS GAUGE ALSO ACTED ERRATIC. IT WASN'T SHOWING THE GAS AS FULL BUT THE TANK HAD JUST BEEN COMPLETELY FILLED (PICTURE HAS EXAMPLE OF BOTH). DEALERSHIP UNPLUGGED THE BATTERY AND RESET THE VEHICLE TO FACTORY SETTINGS AND FIXED THE PROBLEM. I WORK FOR A CAR ELECTRICAL COMPONENT MANUFACTURING SUPPLIER AND IT IS BELIEVED THIS IS CAUSED BY SOFTWARE WITHIN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BECAUSE THE SPEED ODOMETER AND THE FUEL GAS AREN'T CONNECTED WITHIN THE VEHICLE. *TR
SMALL ROCK CHIP TURNED INTO OVER A FOOT LONG CRACK OVER NIGHT. THE CHIP MUST OF OCCURRED ON A SMALL 50 MILE ROAD TRIP AND THE NEXT MORNING WHEN THE SUN COME UP THE HEAT EXPANDED THE CHIP TO OVER A FOOT LONG. CHIP OCCURRED AT THE VERY TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD IN THE BLACK AREA, CRACK FORMED GOING DOWNWARD IN A J MOTION TOWARDS THE DRIVER'S SIDE. CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT QUOTED AND LOOKED AT. I WAS GIVEN A QUOTE OF $2,108 TO REPLACE!! THIS CAR IS BRAND NEW, 1,600 MILES AND HAVE OWNED LESS THAN 2 MONTHS. I HAVE READ OTHERS CONCERNS ONLINE AND THIS IS WAY TOO COMMON AND HYUNDAI NEEDS TO RECALL THE WINDOW SHIELD AND REPLACE. *TR

CRACKED WINDSHIELD BY A SMALL PEBBLE DRIVING 65 MPH. AFTER RESEARCH, THOUSANDS OF CONSUMERS ARE SUFFERING WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE HYUNDAI PALISADE. *TR
I HAVE COMPLAINED SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN SEPT 2019, WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO PARK AND YOU PRESS THE REVERSE BUTTON SOMETIMES IT TAKES TWO OR THREE TIMES PRESSING TO GET THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO REVERSE. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON FLAT ROAD, ON A HILL IN THE CITY, THIS LAST TIME WHEN I PUT IT IN REVERSE IT DIDN'T GO AND WHEN I LET OFF THE BRAKE THINKING IT WAS IN GEAR IT JOLTED FORWARD AND WRECKED INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE WITH A PASSENGER SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, AIR BAG SYSTEM DEACTIVATED. THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100. CONSUMER CALLED THE MANUFACTURER, DEALER AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY.*JB
EITHER A SMALL STONE OR BUG HIT MY WINDSHIELD ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE LOWER CENTER AREA AND WINDSHIELD NOW HAS A SMALL SEMI CIRCLE CRACK. WHAT EVER HIT THE WINDSHIELD WAS SO SMALL I COULD BARELY HEAR IT WHEN IT HAPPENED. I'VE READ OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. *TR
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND A SMALL PEBBLE HIT THE WINDSHIELD. WENT HOME CALLED HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP INQUIRED ABOUT MY BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY AND WAS TOLD THAT WINDSHIELDS WERE NOT COVERED. THE NEXT DAY THAT SMALL CRACK DOT GREW TO LINE CRACKS ABOUT 12-14' LONG. I CALLED HYUNDAI AND TOLD THEM THAT THEIR WINDSHIELDS WE'RE FAULTY AND NOT DURABLE BECAUSE THEY GREW INTO LONG CRACKS!!! I TOLD THEM THAT I DIDN'T KNOW HOW THAT COULD OF HAPPENED SINCE WE HAVEN'T DRIVEN BECAUSE OF THIS QUARANTINE ISSUE, THE ONLY LOGICAL EXPLANATION WAS THE PRESSURE INSIDE THE CAR MIGHT OF CAUSED IT??? THEY SUGGESTED I FLIP THE BILL OR FILE A CLAIM WITH MY INSURANCE AND PAY THE DEDUCTIBLE.
SCRATCHES AND HAIRLINE CRACKS IN THE WINDSHIELD.
It is extremely difficult to buckle the seatbelt around our childrens' booster seats. We have a six and nine-year-old who are fully capable of buckling their own seats. However, they are unable to buckle in this vehicle due to the limited slack on the buckle and the narrow captains' chairs in the second row. I am barely able to buckle them and often concerned that the clip did not secure properly due to the challenging nature of the process. This is a safety concern because if we were to wreck and it was not secured, my children's lives would be at risk.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 65 MPH, A SMALL PEBBLE STRUCK MY WINDSHIELD AND CREATED A 2 INCH "SPIDER" CRACK. THE SOUND OF THE IMPACT WAS MINIMAL AND HAD THE OBJECT THAT STRUCK MY WINDSHIELD BEEN LARGER, I BELIEVE THE OBJECT WOULD HAVE PENETRATED MY WINDOW AND POTENTIALLY CAUSED INJURY TO MY FRONT SEAT OCCUPANT. AFTER DISCUSSION WITH MANY PALISADE OWNERS ON A FACEBOOK OWNERS FORUM, OTHER OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING SIMILAR ISSUES WITH CRACKED WINDSHIELDS FROM NOMINAL PEBBLE STRIKES. I HAVE EXPERIENCED PEBBLE STRIKES ON MY OTHER VEHICLES THAT SOUNDED LIKE A CANON BALL HIT MY WINDSHIELD WITH ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE AND THE PEBBLE THAT STRUCK MY PALISADE BARELY MADE A SOUND AS IT IMPACTED MY WINDSHIELD. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN WITH MY 2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE.
ABOUT A MONTH AFTER BUYING THE VEHICLE, WITH LESS THAN 900 MILES, A LARGE CRACK DEVELOPED BEHIND THE MIRROR OF THE WINDSHIELD THAT WAS NOTICED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. WE HAD NOT BEEN HIT BY ANYTHING NOTICEABLE OR AUDIBLE, AND BY THE TIME WE WERE ABLE TO SEE THE CRACK THE WINDSHIELD WAS RUINED. WE NOTICED A VERY SMALL BLEMISH IN THE DARK AREA NEAR THE MIRROR THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THE CRACK. OUR LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT WILLING TO ADDRESS THE WINDSHIELD ISSUE SO WE TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP, WHILE ON VACATION, BY REQUEST OF HYUNDAI OF NORTH AMERICA. THE SECOND DEALERSHIP SAW THE BLEMISH AND SAID IT COULD NOT BE REPLACED BY WARRANTY. I ESCALATED THE CASE THROUGH HYUNDAI OF NORTH AMERICA AND THEY COULD DO NOTHING ELSE SINCE THE DEALER SAID IT CANNOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. SO, IF THIS WINDSHIELD CAN BE RUINED FROM AN INSIGNIFICANT BLEMISH, THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE WINDSHIELD.
WIND NOISE FROM ALL WINDOWS AT SPEEDS ABOVE 30MPH. NOTICED THE WIND NOISE ON PICKUP OF NEW CAR FROM DEALERSHIP. SENT IN FOR 2 'FIXES' BUT PROBLEM PERSISTS. 'WALK-IN' SEAT FUNCTION IN 2ND ROW WORKS BUT NO LONGER SLIDES FORWARD. ALL WHEEL HUBS HAVE EXCESSIVE RUST. MILEAGE WHEN FIRST NOTICED THE RUST WAS ABOUT 4000 MILES. RUST LEAKS THROUGH THE WHEEL CAPS

I PURCHASED A NEW 2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE SEL FROM QUIRK HYUNDAI IN BANGOR MAINE ON 3/06/2020, UPON GETTING IT HOME AND USING IT WITH MY CHILDREN, WE DISCOVERED THAT THE WALK THROUGH SHOULDER BUTTON, IF PRESSED, WILL STILL CAUSE THE SEAT TO FOLD AND SLIDE FORWARD EVEN WITH A PASSENGER, AND IF THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION THIS FUNCTION IS STILL ENABLED. I HAD MY 8 YEAR OLD TRIPLETS IN THE VEHICLE ON 3/07/2020, AND WE WERE DRIVING IN TOWN TO THE LOCAL RESTAURANT. CHILDREN, BEING INQUISITIVE, WERE INSPECTING EVERY FEATURE OF THE VEHICLE WITHIN THEIR REACH. ONE PRESSED THE BUTTON AND WE HEARD THE ELECTRONIC RELEASE, UNSURE OF WHAT THE SOUND WAS AT THE TIME, I DID AN INSPECTION LATER AND REALIZED IT WAS THE WALK THROUGH LATCH. I THEN RAN A FEW CIRCUMSTANTIAL EXPERIMENTS WITH MY ADULT SON TO TEST MY CONCERN THAT THIS FEATURE MIGHT CAUSE HARM IF ACTIVATED AT THE WRONG TIME. MY CONCERNS WERE CONFIRMED WITH THIS TEST. MY ADULT SON IN THE SEAT, PRESSED THE BUTTON WHILE I WAS DRIVING 5 MILES PER HOUR, AND THEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES. IN ONCE INSTANCE, HIS SEAT WENT FULL FORWARD AND HE WAS FORCEFULLY PROJECTED INTO THE SEAT IN FRONT OF HIM . A SMALL ROCK IMPACT AT THE BASE OF THE WINDSHIELD IMMEDIATELY SPREAD AND BECAME A LARGE SEMI-CIRCLE SHAPED CRACK. THERE WAS NO OPPORTUNITY TO REPAIR BEFORE SPREAD. ATTEMPTS BY MY DEALER AND ME TO APPEAL TO HYUNDAI TO COVER THE REPAIR FOR THIS BASED ON NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF RAPID CRACKS FOR THIS VEHICLE AND THE KIA TELLURIDE WERE DENIED. KIA HAS PROACTIVELY CONTACTED THEIR CUSTOMERS TO INFORM THEM THAT THEY ARE LOOKING INTO THE ISSUE AND KIA IS COVERING THE COSTS FOR REPAIR/REPLACEMENT. SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG WITH THE WINDSHIELD GLASS BEING USED FOR THESE COUSIN VEHICLES.
ON 3/2/20 I WAS TRAVELING AT 49 MPH ON A CITY STREET A SMALL PEBBLE STRUCK THE WINDSHIELD IN THE TOP RIGHT (PASSENGER) SIDE BY THE A-PILLAR. THE NEXT MORNING I HAD A 24 INCH CRACK ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD.
WIND NOISE DURING DRIVING AT 35-40 MPH IN CABIN NEAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS, BECOMES MORE LOUDER ON THE FREEWAY. A CRACK IN THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AFTER ROCK/DEBRIS HAD NICKED THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WHILE ON THE FREEWAY. THE CRACK QUICKLY KEEPS ON EXPANDING IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AFTER GETTING NICKED.
THE WINDSHIELD APPEARS TO BE VERY PROBE TO CRACKING. WHEN PURCHASED OUR VEHICLE THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED FROM WHAT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN A SMALL PEBBLE ON THE ROAD BUT WASN'T LOUD ENOUGH TO NOTICED. IT WAS UNTIL LATER THAT WE SAW THE CRACK HAD EXPENDED FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE TO THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD.
HORRIBLE WHOOSHING SOUND COMES THROUGH BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS WHEN GOING 50MPH OR ABOVE. HYUNDAI HAS KNOW ABOUT IT SINCE EARLY THEIR AND ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN; HOWEVER, THEY LATER RETRACTED IT WITH NO ADDITIONAL NEXT STEPS. THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR IN FEBRUARY AND HAS BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED / CONFIRMED BY THE DEALER. THAT SAID, THE DEALER WILL NOT TAKE ACTION WITHOUT ANOTHER SERVICE BULLETIN.
MY VEHICLE HAS WHAT APPEARS TO BE A MAJOR ALIGNMENT ISSUE. WHEN DRIVING ON ALMOST ANY STRAIGHT STRETCH OF ROAD THE VEHICLE PULLS/VEERS TO THE RIGHT. DEALER SAYS THIS IS AS DESIGNED FROM HYUNDAI AND THAT THEY HAVE CHECKED "EVERYTHING". I AM BAFFLED THAT ANY CAR CAN BE "DESIGNED" TO NOT DRIVE STRAIGHT. THEY CLAIM ALL HYUNDAI VEHICLES ARE "DESIGNED" TO PULL TO THE RIGHT. ONE THE TEST DRIVE WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, DRIVING 50 - 60 MPH, MY VEHICLE DRIFTED 1 AND A HALF LANES TO THE RIGHT ON ITS OWN. UNDER ACCELERATION IT VEERED 3 LANES TO THE RIGHT. THIS WAS IN A MATTER OF 6 OR 7 SECONDS. THIS HAPPENS ON ALMOST ALL ROADS AND INTERSTATES, NOT JUST SOME. THE DEALER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING TO REPAIR AND THIS IS "NORMAL" AND TO TAKE IT UP WITH THE MANUFACTURER. I CAN PROVIDE VIDEO OF THE ISSUE.
