THE SEATBELT BUCKLES FOR THE CAPTAINS CHAIRS ARE RECESSED INTO THE BODY OF THE SEAT. THIS MAKES IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR BOTH ADULTS AND CHILDREN TO BUCKLE UP. THE BUCKLES ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO USE WITH BOOSTER CHAIRS WHITEOUT SOME AFTER MARKET MODIFICATION (NOT SAFE).*DT Consumer stated buckles are recessed into the seat bottom and latch is angled inwards towards the seat making it even trickier to get to. The angles isn't helping with latching. Silicone and foam building block is used to hold buckle in place.
WHILE DRIVING DURING SNOWFALL, SNOW ACCUMULATED OVER WIPER AREA AND BLOCKS WIPERS FROM MOVING. WE HAD TO PULL OVER ON HIGHWAY IN MIDDLE OF SNOWSTORM AND CLEAR THE WIPER AREA. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR MYSELF AND FAMILY. THE WIPERS TURN OFF IF THERE'S EVEN A LITTLE AMOUNT OF RESISTANCE, AND THE HOOD DESIGN ALLOWS FOR BUILD UP ACCUMULATION OF SNOW WHERE THE WIPERS GO.
Windshield chipped and subsequently cracked with no noticeable impact with any rock or other object.
The vehicle's air bag warning light on dash was noted to be intermittently illuminated when car being driven, and only when passenger is in front passenger seat. Car taken to dealer, air bag sensor in front seat to be replaced. Problem has persisted despite being repaired three times by the dealership. Error codes remain the same or similar when checked by dealership. Repair records can be furnished on request.
INTERMITTENT WHISTLING SOUND AND EXCESSIVE WIND NOISE. APPEARS TO ORIGINATE FROM THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS/WINDOWS. THIS MAKES DRIVING VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AT SPEEDS OVER 50 MPH
The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated while driving in inclement weather at an undisclosed speed, the front windshield wipers became inoperable causing a visibility hazard while driving. The contact veered to the side of the road and cleared the snow from the windshield and waited approximately 45 minutes before the windshield wiper regained normal function. While driving back to the residence the failure recurred. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who inspected the vehicle but could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
THE CAR WAS PARKED ON MY DRIVEWAY. THE WEATHER DURING THE DAY WAS 65 BUT THEN FROZE AT NIGHT. SOMETIME DURING THE NIGHT MY ENTIRE BACK WINDSHIELD SHATTERED. THERE WAS GLASS ALL THE WAY UP TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, IN THE CUP HOLDERS, EVERYWHERE. THE ARM OF THE WIPER ALSO BROKE IN HALF. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF SOMETHING BEING THROWN OR ANYTHING HITTING THE CAR. THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE BESIDES THE WINDSHIELD BEING SHATTERED.
WE WERE DRIVING ON US-27 AND A PEBBLE SIZED STONE HIT THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND HAD CAUSED A 18 INCH LINEAR CRACK ON THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD EXTENDING ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP OF THE FRAME.
The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while his wife was stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle experienced rough driving. The contact later discovered that the engine oil level was extremely low. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer performed an oil consumption test, an engine leak down, engine compression test, and carbon cleaning on the engine; however, the vehicle continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 13,700.
AT 5,600 MILES A CRACK DEVELOPED BEHIND THE REARVIEW MIRROR ON THE WINDSHIELD. WITHIN A DAY THE CRACK TRAVELED FURTHER DOWN AND CURVED TOWARD THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE WHEN THIS OCCURRED. UPON INSPECTION OF THE WINDSHIELD IT LOOKED AS IF A ROCK HAD HIT THE WINDSHIELD BUT NOT BIG ENOUGH THAT WE RECALLED HEARING ANY IMPACT WHILE DRIVING. THE WINDSHIELD IS NOW A SAFETY HAZARD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
A small rock hit the windshield and a huge crack ran all the way across at 7,000 miles. Before I even Had time to replace the windshield another crack in a totally different location developed. Extremely unsafe!
WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A CRACK OUT OF NOWHERE. NEVER SAW IT GET HIT, BUT LARGE SPREADING CRACK WAS THERE ONE MORNING ... VERY WEAK GLASS.
VEHICLE WINSHIELD CRACKED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. IT JUST CRACKED WITHOUT IMPACT FROM AN OBJECT. INITIAL CRACK WAS APROX 10 INCHES LONG AND NOW EXTENDS AROUND 16 LOCATED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF DRIVER. MANUFACTURER WILL NOT COVER AND COST IS OVER $1,200 DOLLARS. HAVE DELAYED DUE TO COST BUT IT IS IMPACTING DRIVERS VISION.
MY WIFE STATED WHEN SHE GOT OUT OF WORK AND START DRIVING SHE NOTICE THE FRONT WINDSHIELD HAS A CRACK NEXT TO THE REAR MIRROR. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY ALL THAT TIME.
WINDSHIELD JUST CRACKED 8 INCHES AND I WAS JUST SITTING AT A RED LIGHT
INSIDE OF SIX MONTHS I HAVE HAD TWO WINDSHIELDS THAT HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED. FROM THE SMALLEST CHIP THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD SPIDERWEBS AND GOES ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD THIS IS NOT NORMAL AND I AM WONDERING WHAT ANYONE IS DOING REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. THE WINDSHIELDS ARE VERY THIN AND THIS APPEARS TO BE A SAFETY HAZARD. THE LITERALLY WATCHED WHILE DRIVING THE SMALL ROCK CHIP TURN INTO A COMPLETE SPIDERWEB ACROSS MY WINDOW.
PALISADE SAT IN GARAGE FOR 6 DAYS..DROVE OUT TODAY WINDSHIELD CRACKED. DEALER FOUND SUPERFICIAL CHIP THE SIZE OF A PIN HEAD. POOR QUALITY WINDSHIELD
X2 THE AUTOMATED EMERGENCY BRAKING HAS ACTIVATED FOR NO REASON. 1ST TIME DURING A RAIN EVENT THE AUDIBLE ALARM, HEAD-UP DISPLAY AND AUTOMATED EMERGENCY BRAKING ENGAGED. DURING THIS EVENT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD NOT TURN ON, THEY WERE ON AUTOMATIC, I SWITCHED TO MANUAL THEY STILL WOULD NOT WORK. SHORTLY AFTER IT STOPPED RACING THEY BEGAN TO WORK AGAIN. THE SECOND TIME THE EMERGENCY AUTOMATED BRAKING ENGAGED I WAS ON I-70 NEAR SPFLD. OHIO. TRAFFIC WAS MOVING FAST 65-70 MPH, I WAS IN LEFT LANE, HAD A NEARER WALL TO MY LEFT, SEMI TO RIGHT, PASSENGER CAR TO THE FRONT AND SEMI TO MY REAR, THE WEATHER WAS SUNNY OVERALL BEAUTIFUL DAY. WHEN IT ENGAGED ONCE AGAIN ABRUPTLY BRAKED (SAME ALARMS ENGAGED). THIS TIME WITH THE SEMI TO MY REAR IT SCARED ME SO BAD I FELT AS IF I WAS GOING TO GET RAN OVER BY THE SEMI. IN BOTH CASES THE BREAKING WAS ABRUPT AND QUITE AGGRESSIVE, BOTH EVENTS LASTED VERY BRIEFLY 1-3 SECONDS ON THE HIGHWAY INCIDENT I DID FEEL THE BACK IN WIGGLE IT DID NOT BREAK LOSE YOU COULD JUST FILL IT KIND OF HARD SWAY LEFT TO RIGHT OR RIGHT TO LEFT CANNOT REMEMBER THAT EXACTLY. IT CURRENTLY IS IN THE SHOP FOR THE REASONS REPORTED ABOVE AND SERVICING. THE DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF THE INCIDENTS.
On interstate highway in South Dakota in September 2020, a small pebble came off the road surface creating a small chip on front windshield. Within one hour the windshield had a crack horizontally covering the entire windshield. This caused a complete one day delay on our vacation trip as the windshield had to be replaced at a local Safelite location. Certainly the delay was an inconvenience but more important we are concerned about our safety. This occurred when vehicle was less than 2 months old. Now it is July, 2021 and on another interstate a small pebble came off the road and caused a small chip in the lower left windshield. Next day the small crack started to run requiring a compete windshield repair AGAIN. If a small pebble can do this immediate damage, I fear the entire windshield could shatter causing a major accident or at worst a fatality. Safelite and Travelers Insurance have all documentation regarding the two incidents.
A ROCK PUT A CRACK ACROSS OUR WINDSHIELD IN A NEW VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING IN 65 MPH HIGHWAY ZONE. THE CRACK STARTS ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND STRETCHES TO THE PASSENGER SIDE.
WINDSHIELD IN OUR BRAND NEW PALISADE HIT BY A SMALL ROCK ON THE FREEWAY WHICH IMMEDIATELY LED TO A 12" CRACK. THAT CRACK HAS NOW SPREAD TO ENCOMPASS 1/2 OF THE WINDSHIELD. I WAS TOLD THAT THESE WINDSHIELDS ARE THE SAME MATERIAL AS THE KIA TELLURIDE BUT DIFFERENT PART NUMBER. KIA IS COVERING THEIR TELLURIDE CUSTOMERS WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT WHILE THEY INVESTIGATE. VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE INTEGRITY AND SAFETY OF THIS WINDSHIELD.
WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A HAIRLINE CRACK RUNNING HORIZONTALLY OVER MOST OF THE WIDTH, THEN TURNING UPWARD FOR ABOUT A FOOT ON PASSENGER SIDE. NO STONE CHIPS OR IMPACT MARKS, JUST A SPONTANEOUS CRACK THAT I NOTICED IN BRIGHT SUN. IT IS SPREADING.
BOUGHT CAR IN AUGUST 2020 IN JUST A MONTH OWNING IT ROCK CHIPPED THE WINDSHIELD AND CAUSED A HUGE CRACK. TOOK THREE MONTHS FOR REPLACEMENT. WAS FIXED MID NOVEMBER. NOW A MONTH LATER NOTHING HIT MY WINDSHIELD AND IT HAS ANOTHER CRACK. IT WAS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY.
MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED TWO WEEKS AGO ON 9/6/2020, WHILE I WAS CHANGING THE WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES ON THE LOWER PASSENGER SIDE. THE CRACK STRETCHED FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE TO JUST PAST THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD. I HAD IT REPLACED FOUR DAYS AGO ON 9/11/2020, AND IT IS CRACKED AGAIN STARTING IN THE SAME AREA WITH NO KNOWN CAUSE.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED IN MULTIPLE PLACES AFTER A SMALL PEBBLE HITS WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION IN THE HIGHWAY.
I HAVE HAVE OWNED THE PALISADE FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS AND HAVE ALREADY HAD 2 EPISODES WHERE THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHEN STRUCK BY A VERY SMALL PEBBLE. I HAVE DRIVEN MANY CARS OVER A 35 YEAR PERIOD AND HAVE NEVER SEEN ISSUES LIKE THESE. THE GLASS APPEARS VERY THIN. THIS IS NOT SAFE!
A SMALL RICE SIZE PEBBLE HIT WINDSHIELD AND CRACKED WINDSHIELD. ANY NORMAL WINDSHIELD WOULD NOT HAVE CRACKED AT ALL. UPON ATTEMPT TO GET IT REPAIRED, THE CRACK SPREAD 2 FEET. THESE WINDSHIELDS ARE VERY POORLY DESIGNED AND HAVE A MAJOR INTEGRITY ISSUE.
WHISTLING/WIND NOISE OCCURS AROUND THE DOOR GLASS AREA WHILE DRIVING.
MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHILE DRIVING IN THE EXPRESSWAY.
APPROXIMATELY 6,000 MILES IN, MY WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A CRACK APPROXIMATELY 5" LONG FROM THE CAMERA HOUSING DOWN. I DO NOT RECALL A ROCK STRIKE EVENT HAPPENING, AND I AM THE SOLE DRIVER OF THE CAR. I JUST HAD THE WINDSHIELD REPLACED TODAY, AND BEFORE THE GLUE WAS DRY TWO CRACKS APPEARED SPONTANEOUSLY WITHOUT HAVING THE CAR IN MOTION, ON MIRRORED SIDES OF THE WINDSHIELD. OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS THAT MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE GARAGE, ONE CRACK HAS GROWN BY AT LEAST 2". IT SEEMS THERE IS SOMETHING STRUCTURALLY UNSOUND ABOUT THE SHAPE OF THE WINDSHIELD WITH PRESSURE CRACKS SEEMING TO OCCUR SPONTANEOUSLY.
SEATS SMELL ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS LIKE GARLIC BREATHE, SMELL IRRADIATES FROM THE SEATS NAPPA LEATHER
FRONT WINDSHIELD. WHILE IN MOTION WE OCCURRED A CRACKED WINDSHIELD WITH ONLY 1500 MILES ON THE CAR. AFTER INITIAL WINDOW HIT, THE WINDSHIELD BEGAN CRACKING RAPIDLY.
ONLY 2,500 MILES AND NEEDS A FULL WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT. A SMALL ROCK HIT THE WINDOW, A SMALL CHIP WHICH IMMEDIATELY SPREAD INTO A CRACK ACROSS THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. AND HAVE TO WAIT 6 WEEKS TO GET IT REPLACED BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD IS ON BACKORDER - THERE MUST BE AN ISSUE THAT A BRAND NEW VEHICLE ALREADY HAS A BACKORDER ON A REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD!
SMALL CHIP APPEARED ON SECOND DAY OF PURCHASE FOLLOWING A PEBBLE HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. THE CHIP WAS FIXED BY SAFELITE. AFTER A MONTH, HALF OF THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY (STATIONARY). THE CRACK SEEMED TO HAVE ORIGINATED FROM THE SAME SPOT OF THE PREVIOUS CHIP. THE CAR HAS 2300 MILES ON IT AND NEEDS A NEW WINDSHIELD NOW.
HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 3 WEEKS AND WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, THE FIRST TINY PEBBLE TO HIT WINDSHIELD CRACKED IT FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW FRAME ALL THE WAY TO THE MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD. WAS AFRAID THAT THE GLASS WAS GOING TO COLLAPSE IN. VERY THIN GLASS AND AFRAID TO DRIVE OF THE HIGHWAY NOW.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED AT JUST 400 MILES WHILE IRONICALLY THE CAR WAS AT A DETAIL SHOP AND THEY WERE INSTALLING EXOSHIELD THAT IS SUPPOSED TO PREVENT ROCK CHIPS AND CRACKS. THE WINDSHIELD SHATTERED IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER WAY DOWN BY THE HOOD AREA WHILE THE INSTALLER WAS RE-ATTACHING THE TRIM AROUND THE GLASS AND POPPING THE CLIPS BACK IN. THIS IS NOT NORMAL FOR GLASS TO CRACK LIKE THIS FROM NORMAL ACTIVITY ESPECIALLY WHEN IT WASN'T EVEN HIT. THE GLASS SHOULDN'T BREAK FROM TOUCHING IT, CLEANING IT, ETC. ALSO, ON DAY 1 RIGHT AFTER BUYING THE CAR WHILE I WAS DRIVING BACK FROM THE DEALER SOMETHING HIT IT AND CAUSED A SMALL ROCK CHIP WHICH I REPAIRED MYSELF. NEVER HAD THIS OCCUR ON DAY 1. THAT IS WHY I WAS WILLING TO PAY FOR PROTECTION FIELD TO AVOID THIS. UNACCEPTABLE.
CRACK STARTING FROM MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD AND SPIDERED DOWN. NO SIGN OF PEBBLES OR ROCKS IMPACTING WINDSHIELD. VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION PARKED IN DRIVEWAY NO DAMAGE TO WINDOW NIGHT BEFORE IN MORNING CAME OUT TO CRACK DOWN MIDDLE OF WINDOW THAT SPIDERED IN TO THE SHAPE OF A J.
SMALL CHIP ON THE WINDSHIELD CAUSED A BIG RIPPLE. HAS 2500 MILES ROUGHLY ON THE CAR AND ITS AN LIMITED VERSION. ITS THE FIRST CHIP I HAVE NOTICED AND OWNING DIFFERENT MODEL CARS IN THE PAST I HAVE NEVER SEEN A CHIP CAUSING SUCH A BIG RIPPLE LIKE THIS ONE. FRUSTRATING
WINDSHIELD CRACKED FROM SMALL PEBBLE. DRIVING ~65MPH. INITIALLY JUST AN IMPACT, BUT WITHIN HOURS CRACK DEVELOPED ~25 INCHES IN LENGTH FROM ORIGIN. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 150 MILES ON IT.
SMALL ROCK HIT FRONT WINDSHIELD AND CRACKED IT. HYUNDAY SHOULD REPAIR WINDSHIELD THAT CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT THIS WINDSHIELD IS VERY POOR QUALITY
I PURCHASED A NEW 2020 HYUNDAI PALISADE ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. I WAS DRIVING THE SPEED LIMIT ON THE HIGHWAY. A SMALL PEBBLE HIT THE WINDSHIELD AND IT CRACKED THE GLASS ON THE LOWER RIGHT SIDE. I WENT ONLINE AND DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS MODEL, AND THAT A CLASS ACTION SUIT WAS FILED. THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT WARN ME ABOUT THIS ISSUE OR THE LAWSUIT WHEN I ASKED ABOUT GLASS SAFETY. I HAVE NEVER HAD A CRACKED WINDSHIELD ON ANY OTHER CAR I OWNED IN 25 YEARS OF DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY.
CAR HAS LESS THAN 2000 MILES AND WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED. I WAS GOING 55MPH OK A HIGHWAY AND AN EXTREMELY SMALL PEBBLE HIT THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING IT TO CRACK. I HAVE OWNED NUMEROUS HYUNDAI'S BEFORE AND NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE WINDSHIELD CRACKING. THE WINDSHIELD BEING EXTREMELY DELICATE IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT IS EASILY GOOGLE-ABLE.
CAR HAS UNDER 1400 MILES AND WENT ON FIRST TRIP. HIT TWO SMALL ROCKS AND WINDSHIELD CRACKED IN BOTH SPOTS. HAVEN'T CRACKED A WINDSHIELD IN 10 YEARS OF DRIVING. MANY OTHER PALISADE AND TELLURIDE OWNERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT HOW EASILY THE WINDSHIELD CRACKS.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHILE GETTING A CAR WASH. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 9,000 MILES ON IT.
DRIVING HYUNDAI PALISADE ON A FEEDER ROAD OF THE HIGHWAY, AROUND 20 MPH, A SMALL PEBBLE HIT THE WINDSHIELD. INSTEAD OF HAVING A SMALL KNICK, A CRACK FORMED AND IT IMMEDIATELY RAN 1/2 THE WINDSHIELD. THE VERY NEXT DAY, ANOTHER PEBBLE HIT WHILE DRIVING ON THE FEEDER ROAD AND A SECOND CRACK FORMED AND DID THE EXACT SAME THING. THE TINY PING OF A PEBBLE CAUSED 2 LARGE CRACKS THAT ARE NOW AFFECTING VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING. AFTER RESEARCHING, WE SEE THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST HYUNDAI FOR THEIR FAULTY AND WEAK WINDSHIELDS AND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THE INABILITY FOR THE WINDSHIELD TO TAKE ANY TINY IMPACT. WE ALSO KNOW KIA, THEIR SISTER COMPANY IS REPLACING WINDSHIELDS ON THE TELLURIDE FOR THE BAD WINDSHIELDS. HYUNDAI HAS YET TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE WINDSHIELD IS NOT REACTING APPROPRIATELY TO SMALL PEBBLES. WE ARE EXTREMLEY CONCERNED HOW THE WINDSHIELD WILL HOLD UP TO NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS.
WITHIN 45 DAYS OF PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I WAS DRIVING ON I-69 IN HOUSTON AND HEARD A LIGHT GRAVEL ROCK SOUND HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. WITHIN MINUTES THE SMALL STAR SPREAD OVER A FOOT IN EACH DIRECTION. LIVING IN HOUSTON WE ARE ACCUSTOMED TO ROCK CHIPS AND HOW TO HANDLE THEM. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A SMALL ROCK CHIP CRACK THE GLASS SO QUICKLY. FURTHERMORE, THE LIGHT SOUND THAT THE ROCK MADE AGAINST THE GLASS IS NOT ONE THAT SHOULD HAVE CAUSED THE GLASS TO BREAK.
SUV HAS LESS THAN 4K MILES DRIVING DOWN A 35 MPH ROAD FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED. ITS BEEN ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AND STILL NO ANSWER ON WHEN I WILL GET THE SUV BACK. CALLED CORPORATE THEY SAID IT WAS MY FAULT I DID NOT TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. I DID CALL THE DEALER WHEN IT HAPPENED AND THEY SAID THEY DO NOT REPLACE WINDSHIELDS. SO WHY WOULD I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER IF DO NOT REPLACE IT?
GOT A STONE CHIP ON WINDSHIELD AND WITH IN AN HOUR IT HAS TURNED INTO A TEN INCH CRACK
VEHICLE WINDSHIELD WAS STRUCK ON THE LOWER EDGE BY SMALL PEBBLE. THIS CAUSED A CHIP. DAYS LATER WITH THE VEHICLE SITTING THE WINDOW CRACKED.
